When drivers make that wonderful final payment on a car loan, that milestone is celebrated when they get the title in the mail.

But it’s not always a seamless process and a glitch can mean problems and multiple visits to a New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission center to straighten it out.

A new program announced Thursday makes most of that process between the bank, the MVC and vehicle owner take place online, reducing the chance of problems and fraud, commission officials said.

For the first time in United States history, a former -- and quite possibly future -- president is now officially a convicted felon.

The guilty verdict in Donald Trump's hush money trial has opened a huge can of worms regarding what this could mean for him legally. Like any other American found guilty of a crime, Trump is likely to face new restrictions and lose a number of rights due to his newfound felon status.

Here's what legal experts say we can expect to see happen.

Could trump still run for president.

He most certainly could. As long as you're over 35, a natural-born citizen and a resident of the U.S. for at least 14 years, you're eligible to run for president.

It wouldn't be the first time there's been a convicted felon in the presidential race, in 1920, Socialist Party candidate Eugene V. Debs won 3.4% of the popular vote while in prison on sedition charges for speaking out against the World War I draft.

Could he still vote?

Yes, unless he's in prison.

Though Florida -- where Trump is registered to vote -- prohibits people convicted of felonies from voting until their sentence is complete, New York law will allow him to maintain his voting rights.

In New York, felons are only barred from voting if they are currently incarcerated, and voting rights are automatically restored upon their release from prison.

Florida law states that felons are ineligible to vote "only if the conviction would make the person ineligible to vote in the state where the person was convicted," thus clearing the way for Trump to cast his ballot in November -- as long as he's not behind bars at that point, in which case, he would be legally prohibited from voting.

Could trump own a gun.

Probably not. Under both federal law and New York state law, people convicted of felonies cannot legally possess firearms.

But Trump -- who in 2012 told the Washington Times he had a concealed-carry permit and owned several guns -- could eventually get that ban reversed.

"He could seek to have that right restored, since his conviction was for a lower level non-violent felony," Cheryl Bader, a professor at Fordham Law, told ABC News.

Could he travel internationally?

Probably, but possibly not to some particular countries.

As part of sentencing, a judge may impose travel restrictions, but that's usually only done when there's concern that the person might flee. "I would be surprised if Judge Merchan will feel that travel restrictions are necessary as Trump is not a flight risk," Bader said.

However, there are a number of countries -- including Canada, China and the U.K. -- that refuse entry to foreign visitors who've been convicted of crimes. Even so, it's not such a black-and-white rule, and is often decided on a case-by-case basis depending on the nature of the crime.

"These laws could cause Trump problems depending on what happens with his sentence and whether a particular country bans people convicted of a comparable crime ... [but] governments of these countries likely have some discretion to waive the prohibition." Betsy Ginsberg, a professor at Cardozo Law, told ABC News.

At least five people have died across Kentucky following two tornadoes and other severe weather on Sunday that damaged property and left tens of thousands without power.

At 12:12 a.m. Monday, Gov. Andy Beshear issued a state of emergency for the commonwealth. This declaration allows the state to bring in additional resources such as the National Guard.

Gov. Andy Beshear held an 11 a.m. press conference Monday — Memorial Day, to address the ongoing weather situation and provide an update on storm damage along with the state’s response plan.

"Last night many families and communities were not safe," Beshear said. "We had devastating storms that hit almost the entire state."

At least two confirmed F-1 tornadoes touched down in Kentucky, according to preliminary survey results from the National Weather Service in Louisville. One tornado with 90 mph winds hit eastern Meade and northern Hardin counties. A second tornado touched down in Butler and northern Warren counties with 85 mph winds.

In Louisville and other parts of the state there were tornado watches and severe thunderstorms that brought down trees and caused property damage.

The Memorial Day weekend storms weren't the state's first run in with tornadoes and storms this year. In April storms moved through Louisville and Southern Indiana leaving destruction, and in March three tornadoes that caused structural damage were confirmed in the area .

Now following yet another series of severe weather in Kentucky, here's what we know:

What part of the state was hit hardest?

Beshear said one tornado in Western Kentucky continued for about 40 miles. This tornado barely missed the prison in Eddyville and barely missed Mayfield, the site of the destructive 2021 tornadoes that the area is still recovering from .

"At least one family who lost their home in the 2021 tornado lost their home again last night," Beshear said.

He noted there were several other tornadoes that "spun down then spun back up." The state is still waiting for the National Weather Service to confirm the total number of tornadoes.

Kentucky Secretary of Transportation Jim Gray said it appears that Western Kentucky was hit the hardest by the storms, noting damages across state highways and roads.

Beshear said not only did the storms take out power for thousands of people, but many roads and interstates were temporarily closed due to the storms. Many businesses and residential areas also suffered "massive damage." Beshear urged individuals to report any and all levels of damage to the emergency management agencies in their county to help the state qualify for FEMA assistance and other resources.

"But like we always see after severe weather events, first responders and everyday Kentuckians rally to help each other in those toughest moments," Beshear said.

Were there any fatalities from the storms?

In the press conference, the governor confirmed at least four people have died and one individual is "fighting for their life" as a result of the Sunday storms.

In a statement sent on X just before 5 p.m. Monday, Beshear confirmed that a fifth person has died related to the severe weather.

"I’m sad to share we have another reported death as a result of yesterday’s storms," read the post. "A 54-year-old man died from a heart attack while cutting fallen trees in Caldwell County. His loved ones are in our prayers during this difficult time."

Confirmed fatalities also include a 67-year-old woman from Mercer County, a 62-year-old woman in Hardin County, a 48-year-old woman in Hopkins County and a 34-year-old man in Jefferson County who was hit by a tree.

Beshear said he is not aware of any unaccounted for Kentuckians.

How many people are without power?

Statewide, there were roughly 175,000 customers without power across the state, Beshear said. While large cities should expect to see power restored Monday, the governor said counties like Trigg and Todd may be without power for several days since there was significant destruction to the power infrastructure in the area.

How many states of emergency have been declared?

Across the state, 14 counties and five cities have declared states of emergency alongside the governors declaration.

Is there a storm shelter set up?

The Red Cross has opened a shelter in Clay County.

Beshear also said Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park will be opened up as a shelter for those in need of rooms. This site is where victims of the 2021 tornado were sheltered.

Are there any environmental concerns from the storm?

On Dale Hollow Lake, a dock broke away, which was believed to have caused a significant fuel spill. The Energy and Environment Cabinet are in the area with a hazmat team but currently no further information is available regarding this potential environmental impact resulting from the storms.

"It's one of the most significant impacts of these storms," Beshear said.

Can I travel currently?

Gray said if you see water in the roads, "turn around, don't drown."

He also expressed other safety notes for people who need to travel in the midst of storm damage including:

• Don't drive over downed power lines.
• Don't touch live wires or downed power lines.
• Beware of debris on roadways.
• If traffic lights are out, treat the intersection as a four-way stop.

The big story

A presidential verdict.

Guilty on all counts.

In a historic verdict, former President Donald Trump was convicted of all 34 criminal counts related to a hush-money payment made to a porn star , write Business Insider's Laura Italiano, Jacob Shamsian, and Natalie Musumeci.

It's the first time a US president has become a convicted felon. According to a veteran court sketch artist who captured the moment for history, Trump looked "demolished" by the verdict.

It took the jury less than 10 hours over two days to reach a verdict on the case, which focused on a $130,000 hush-money payment to adult film actor Stormy Daniels made 11 days before the 2016 election.

A key piece of deliberations could have been the judge's "rain metaphor" instructions. On Thursday, jurors asked to rehear the concept — you can infer it's raining by seeing a wet umbrella even if you don't see actual rain — suggesting they were weighing Trump's intent .

Trump's sentencing is scheduled for July 11, where he could face up to four years in prison, but don't expect things to move quickly.

A legal expert told BI's Lloyd Lee that Trump likely won't face any consequences before the election due to what's sure to be a lengthy appeals process . (There's also a slim chance Trump will see the inside of a jail cell for these charges anyway.)

In the meantime, the 77-year-old, who is the likely Republican presidential nominee, didn't mince words after the verdict was announced .

"This was a disgrace. This was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge that was corrupt," Trump told reporters in the Manhattan courtroom hallway.

"I'm a very innocent man," he added.

Trump also didn't waste time leveraging his conviction into a fundraising opportunity . A graphic on his campaign's website labeled him "a political prisoner."

So what does this conviction really mean for Trump?

He can still run for president as a convicted felon. In fact, two previous candidates did it behind bars , although, unlike Trump, they were long shots.

And the conviction won't even stop him from voting — as long as he's not in jail on Election Day — according to an attorney who spoke with NBC News .

You could even argue feelings about Trump, for better or worse, will remain unchanged despite the guilty verdict. If anything, it might cause supporters and detractors to dig their heels in deeper.

In reality, Trump's fate still comes down to November's election. Trump told reporters Thursday the "real verdict is going to be November 5 by the people."

What Penalties Does Trump Face Now That He Has Been Convicted?

Now that a New York jury has convicted Donald J. Trump of all 34 felony counts against him, it will be up to Justice Juan M. Merchan to decide whether his punishment will include prison time.

Mr. Trump was charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records related to the coverup of a $130,000 hush money payment that was made to the porn star Stormy Daniels in the days leading up to the 2016 election. All the charges are class E felonies, the least serious, in New York State.

Mr. Trump was released on his own recognizance until his sentencing, which was scheduled for July 11. Each count carries the possibility of up to four years in prison. If Justice Merchan were to opt for prison time, he would likely impose the punishment concurrently, meaning he would have Mr. Trump serve the sentence for each count simultaneously.

Incarceration is not a given: Justice Merchan could instead opt to impose a sentence of probation, with no prison time. Mr. Trump would then be required to regularly report to New York City’s Probation Department. He could also be jailed immediately if he committed additional crimes.

Mr. Trump, who is again the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, will undoubtedly appeal any conviction, a lengthy process that could take months or longer and would likely not be resolved before Election Day.

There has been no indication yet of what Justice Merchan could decide, though he has made it known that he takes white-collar crime seriously. Mr. Trump has continually attacked and denounced him as “biased” and “corrupt.”

Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.

Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.  

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.
