So sorry you were confused. We would have gladly helped you had you called the office. The only complaint we have had on the cabins. Two years ago we installed state of the art hospitality style environmental units that both heat and cool but you have to select the mode of either heating or cooling and then you have a full range of user selected temperature settings. We are at the time of year in Maine when often you may need some cooling in the day and heating at night.

Although a few miles away from Bar Harbor, we were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and level of comfort at this out of town motel. Room prices in Bar Harbor, for even basic accommodation, can get ludicrously expensive, but Gallagher's Travels pricing offered way more value than most in town.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. It was nice having a larger refrigerator with a freezer.

Staff was super friendly and check in and checkout were very easy. The value for your money compared to other places in the area is very good.

Great location out of town. Close to park visitor centre. Comfortable room with microwave and fridge. Allocated parking. Helpful reception staff.

The location is great! The cottage was clean and remodeled.

The room was quiet and clean. There are nice sitting areas in the grassy area in front of the rooms. The place is close to the entrance to Acadia Park

Arrived late and all was written down so we could get in our rooms. Big room with sitting area and parking in front. Booked two different rooms, one motel room and one 2 bedroom cottege for 3 adults. Office was always open so could get refills on everyting needed. Met Sean the owner on our last day, and had a nice chat.

Sean and his staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The motel is far enough back from the road so traffic is not a problem. Close to a main entry to Acadia park, though a bit out of the town centre where you need to go either by car or the local free bus.

Great location! Just a couple of minutes from Downtown Bar harbour. Friendly staff!

The service here is top notch. Cannot complain a bit about how great of hospitality we received. Admittedly, I'm not overly familiar with the area as this was our first visit to Bar Harbor, but we felt that the room was very expensive for the accommodations. It was our most expensive room on our 8 day road trip and our least-nice, as well. The bed was wildly uncomfortable, and the room definitely needed a little TLC (maintenance wise. Cleanly wise, it was very well taken care of.) Overall though, we would stay here again, it just would've been nicer to have a comfort spot to sleep after a full day of traveling.

Finding a good place to stay in Bar Harbor during the busy summer months can be tough, but I'm so glad to have stumbled upon Gallagher's Travels. Sean, the owner, is so friendly and will work to make your stay very pleasant. He secured my friend and I a very early check-in, let us use the laundry typically reserved for their maid staff, and had plenty of treats for my friend's dog. He also gave us recommendations for local restaurants, which turned out to be great. The room was basic but comfortable, and the AC really worked well, which was key after long days hiking in Acadia. Would not hesitate to stay again!

This re-done 50's type motel was immaculate! Parking right out front, personalized call to check on arrival time, and friendly faces in the office willing to help. Bathroom is small and room set up different from the big chains, but able to accommodate all our needs. For those with dogs, they have a fenced area out front.

I was a bit more nervous about staying in a cabin/motel instead of a hotel, but Bar Harbor doesn't have many hotels and the Bed & Breakfasts around usually didn't sleep 3 (only 2 people max usually). Upon arriving though, I was thrilled at how clean and nicely renovated the cabins were. There's a mini-kitchen counter with a cute vintage fridge when you enter and bathroom. The main room has a bed, and there was a separate room with a door with another bed. There was a designated parking spot next to my cabin. The only minor complaint I have is the layout when I had to drive past these two boulders to come in and out as I was worried about scratching the car against them. Sean was very friendly and it was clear he engaged in the local tours/activities regularly. He made a lot of great suggestions on where to go and do. He also was A-OK with us borrowing his washing and dryer machine at no cost which was a lifesaver. It saved us so much time to not have to lug all the stuff and hang out at a laundromat. As it is family-run though, Sean did call ahead of time to check on what time we were arriving...so do arrive at a reasonable hour!

What can I not say about this location and it's owner Sean. We stayed here for the memorial day weekend and fell instantly in love, with the place, the location, the people and the owner Sean. It is now our home away from home in Maine. He is the most amazing host, who went above and beyond for us. And for that we are grateful. The house is beautiful and cozy and very well located. Don't want to say too much because we want to come back and use it and not fight ppl for, lol! Bar Harbor is an amazing and magical place, and Gallaghers Travel made it even more special. Thank you Sean!!!

Very friendly family business! We stayed in the motel which was clean and comfortable. The owner was kind to offer items we forgot at home (blow dryer, wine glass ) great location since it was so close to downtown Bar Harbor and the Visitor center. Pet friendly location .

We planned to just spend the day in Bar Harbor and after we arrived and looked around... we soon realized we HAVE to stay here a few days! We were so lucky to find Gallagher's since the owner Sean was so friendly and accommodating by finding us a room and gracefully honored an Expedia rate for us. His wife April did our late checkin (9ish) with the same level of enthusiasm and cheer as if we arrived at 3pm. She told us about the area, the park and friendly tips. Her suggestions were spot on. On our last night I picked up a bottle of wine and realized I had forgotten my wine opener. Since everything closes at about 9 in the area (no joke) I asked April if she happened to have one. Yep! She actually went to her own home to get it for me AND brought us 2 wine glasses! Come on. Sweet! Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Can't beat the hospitality, location and room was spacious, clean and shower was hot with great pressure! One suggestion is to maybe have blow dryer in unit.... like the wine opener... i forgot that too!! Ha.

Gallagher' Travels is adorable. Cutest motel and cabins within minutes of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Gallagher himself is awesome and make sure that his guests have the best stay possible. My only issue - the cabins get pretty cold and only have 1 sheet and a thin comforter. Maybe add an extra blanket? Otherwise everything else was perfect!

Was pleasantly surprised with my stay at Gallagher's. The staff is friendly and very welcoming, taking time to get to know their guests. The rooms are clean and spacious, and it's right near Acadia National Park so if that's your main reason for going then Gallagher's is the perfect place to stay. Not a lot of counter space in the bathroom but that isn't a super big deal. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to everyone!

We stayed there June 22 for 3 days.... It was just as describe...It was quiet and clean.. Sean gave us a cabin for ours dogs...Sean answer every question we had...I would go back and stay there again.....
