Unrestricted by time for any spot you enjoy at this one-day Mumbai darshan bus is what the Ho-Ho services differ compared to the regular tourism bus that moves around the city. This means tourists can Hop-Off at any destination for any amount of time and can catch another next bus in the queue to continue the tour ahead between fixed timings of 8:00 Am and 9:00 Pm.

About 11 Semi-Air-conditioned open-roof double-decker buses are ready for tourists willing for One day Mumbai darshan tour. This service from MTDC (Maharashtra Tourism Department Corporation) is quite similar if you have already experienced HO-HO (Hop On, Hop Off) services in other cities like Delhi and Goa.

With a fixed route planned to start in South Mumbai and End at the North suburban location of Borivali, This Mumbai Darshan tour will be much more convenient with more facilities like never before.

Beautiful-looking double deckers buses with a seating capacity of 26 people will start their route from CST at every 1-hour interval and will have about 25 tourist attractions covered along the route as detailed below. The Rooftop will be open which is fun during winter and monsoon, Yet summers can be adjusted at the lower deck which is Air conditioned with snacks and toilet facilities all inside.

Mumbai Darshan Ho-Ho Bus Highlights

  • Total Tourist Spots : 25.
  • Timings : Daily operation timings will be between 8:00 Am & 9:00 Pm. Every hour 1 bus and the Expected timings of one complete tour is 1 Hour as per planned, But practically it will take much more.

Regular Old Mumbai Darshan Bus Services by MTDC

IMP NOTE: Although we update this article with the latest charges, cancellation process, contact, and other details related to this tour, The frequency of updates is not guaranteed, and visiting MTDC’s official Mumbai Darshan website for latest updates is recommended.

Foreign nationals might be wondering what the word DARSHAN means. So let me help it clear before going ahead with other details, This Hindi word means ‘SIGHT SEEING’ and according to Indian Mythology, it is used major when seeing any God / Goddess, which means getting Darshan.

The tourism department of Maharashtra focused on South Mumbai jewel and sightseeing locations to be coved for these 2 tour packages their services operate only on SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS (Weekends). The beginning looks great with the service offered and sure more improvements are possible with feedback from citizens and tourists. Why South Mumbai? Because that is where BOMBAY started with.

It’s the prime location that has maximum Structures, Old Heritages, and Edifices that are stupendous and a must to be seen in a day tour for a tourist visiting Mumbai. Below are details of the two routes covered.

Mumbai Darshan Tour/Itinerary 1 (CST to SOUTH MUMBAI to CST)

Dates : MTDC updates tour dates online for the current and Upcoming months, So you need to register and log in to their official website to check the available dates. Days : Only on weekends i.e. Saturday and Sundays. Starting / Pick up Point : For this Itinerary, CST (Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Bus Depot) is where the tour starts from. Timings : 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Charges / Entry Fees / Cost : Below are the detailed tour packages per person for adults (Above 12 Years of age) and Children (3 to 12 Years) (All Inclusive taxes). Kids below the age of 3 years have free entry. According to my understanding, a few attractions in the list of Mumbai Darshan tours have individual entry fees, and the below package, charges are designed accordingly. If one selects the Silver package which has low fees, then individually has to go to destination ticket counters to get an entry ticket by paying charges which may be time-consuming. Charges and fees may vary from time to time. Bus Service Type : BEST AC Buses . Also see BEST bus routes . What Languages Bus Guide Speaks : Hindi, Marathi, and English. As experienced at starting the week, the Guides were not professionals with limited knowledge about attractions and by-pass locations. Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, etc) : According to the MTDC website it is not included, But the latest tourist experience gives snacks and lunch within package fees. Siddhivinayak Temple Prasad Costing Rs.50 charges extra, Any food items, etc purchased have to be paid personally. For updated lists and terms visit their website. Tickets Cancellation is : Deductions / Cancellation charges are according to the date you do the cancellation from the tour date, i.e Before 15 days (5% of the cost), Before 8 to 14th day (25% deduction), Before 4 to 7 days (50% refunded), Less than 4 days of the tour (No Refunds). Tour Brochures : No handy brochures are given which actually should be that will help the tourists get some help on locations and sightseeing locations that are covered. Foreign nationals and citizens from other states who visit Mumbai for the first time have absolutely no idea of where city attractions are.

Big support. Very helpful. Going to Visit Mumbai. Preparing for Mumbai Dharshan with the help of your posting!

BUT, NOT ABLE TO FIND ANY ONLINE PORTAL FOR BOOKING THE ONE-DAY PACKAGE. The link goes in and on without any hint of online booking of a package tour! Honestly speaking, Karnataka state Tourism, Orrisa state Tousim, and Tamilnadu Tourism all have direct hassle-free links for package tours.

BUT, Horrible, not find any helpful links in MTDC OR MSRTC except booking for rooms!

This is a place to visit during the evenings where you can enjoy the mouth-watering pav bhaaji and vada pav and get yourself clicked. Standing just in front of the Taj, Gateway of India is a must visit when you are in the city. With small vendors selling their stuff and tourists clicking their pictures, you get the feel of the city here.

Built in 1924 to celebrate King George V and Queen Mary's trip to the town it is also where the last British troops left, signaling the end of British rule in 1947 when India achieved independence. The looming Gateway is the first thing tourists see when they approach Mumbai by ship.

This Dargah is considered as the most beautiful place in the city. Built on the ocean it looks beautiful during the monsoon season and can be reached during low tide only. It would not be a big thing if you get to meet your favorite celebrity while you pay a visit to this place.

The imposing Haji Ali is a mosque as well as a grave. It was constructed in 1431 by rich Muslim merchant and Sufi saint Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari, who after moving to Mecca was motivated to alter the course of his lives. It includes his flesh as well. Located in the center of the ocean, Haji Ali can only be reached from a tight 500-yard path.

A visit to Mumbai is considered as incomplete if you do not visit the streets of Asia's biggest slum, Dharavi. This area is known to be the home of the most creative and budding talent. From the mafia to the small scale industry, you can find everything in these lively streets. Dharavi is also known as a hub for the leather industry in Mumbai and if you are planning to shop for some trendy cheap clothes then this place is going to be your best companion.

Although they are nowhere near as impressive as the famous Ajanta and Ellora caves of Maharashtra, if you spend a couple of days in Mumbai, the ancient rock-cut caves on Elephanta Island are worth a visit. There are two factions- a Buddhist group and a Hindu group. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the huge primary cave became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.

It has some amazing artwork and carvings. Get there with a ferry from India's Gateway. If you want to go further, there are more Buddhist caves on the city's southern periphery inside Sanjay Gandhi National Park.

The heart of the city from where you can see the residence of Ambani and also can get a glimpse of the residences of many other well known people in the Bollywood industry. This place is also going to be your savior after a long and tiring day of sightseeing.

Relax with the locals on Juhu and Marine Drive beaches and if you feel bhel adventurous, the myriad of food booths and portable food suppliers will also be prepared to feed on delicious meals. Hog on to some roasted maize on the cob, puri , pani puri , and pav bhaji and vada pav , also do not forget to slurp on the coconut water while enjoying the view.

Want a wish to be granted then the favorite God of all is sitting here to get it fulfilled. Pay your visit to the temple and enjoy a calm and composed aura of the place. Though the place is not at all calm but once you reach here you can sense a feeling of positivity all around you.

Siddhivinayak is a temple of Lord Ganesha and is one of the busiest temples. The architecture of the temple is grand and has been built by keeping a complete balance between beauty and traditions. The place also has a lot of vendors that sell the prasaad that you can take inside and offer it to Lord Ganesha . Also, the modaks can be purchased from here along with memories that you can keep with you forever.

Colaba Causeway Market, an optimal location for road shopping in Mumbai, has ion offering inexpensive dresses, elegant boutiques, houses of the British era and good food, of course. You can find everything you can name in this ancient Mumbai industry. This place is a must visit if you love to shop for clothes at affordable prices and if you are lucky you might find some branded seconds products here that you might have seen your favorite stars wearing in the movies.

It's a magical city with a vibe that can't be felt anywhere else for everyone living in Mumbai. Yes, inhabitants of other metropolitans may have lifted doubts after my declaration, but you have to agree with me that Mumbai has something to do with it! Housing India's most prolific film industry; some of the largest slums in Asia as well as the costliest housing in the world along with the largest tropical forest in an urban area, the town really reflects the variety that India is renowned for. Not only that, when it comes to a rich history, the city can fill pages after pages and it can give a good run for money to any place in the country when it comes to nightlife.

Recommended Itinerary

Mumbai has a unique alluring smell that draws people in, in addition to the pleasant rabble on the local trains and the highest Air Quality Index. Mumbai, while being a busy metropolis, has a vibe that compels you to include the place on your vacation itinerary. The fact that the city's beauty is heightened by breathtaking seashores, raging rivers, breathtakingly magnificent architecture, and the aroma of freshly prepared food on Mumbai's streets cannot be disputed. The metropolitan region is enormous and has beautiful retreats, glamorous pathways, and most cherished pilgrimage sites. Here is a list of the top 10 sites in Mumbai for a single day of sightseeing if you can only take one day off from your hectic schedule.

1. Selfie with Gateway of India

One of the most important and recognisable structures in the nation is the Gateway of India, which is surrounded by the Arabian Sea and the Taj Hotel. Scottish architect George Wittet created the building's design, which was constructed in 1924. Starting from this most outstanding location or depending on any specific agenda you shouldn't skip, you may begin your greatest Mumbai Darshan tour. As part of Mumbai's heritage attractions, get ready with your high-resolution technology to take some unearthly picture-perfect images of the area. If it's not Monday, you may take a ferry from the Gateway of India to the Elephanta Caves, which are about a one-hour drive away. Keep in mind that the final boat departs Elephanta at 5:30 p.m.

2. Siddhivinayak Temple

Without seeing the well-known Hindu holy monument Shree Siddhivinayak Temple in Prabhadevi, a trip to Mumbai would be incomplete. No matter if you are starting a new business or taking a relaxing Mumbai Darshan city tour that winds through the city's busy streets, Lord Ganesh is the first to be worshipped. In the early hours of the day, choosing to make it the beginning point of your journey would be excellent. The temple is typically open from 5:30 AM to 9:50 PM.

3. Visit the Nehru Science Centre to learn more

The Nehru scientific Centre is an educational scientific exhibition that provides a wealth of information on energy, sound, kinematics, and mechanics. It was built in Worli with the primary goal of promoting science education among all people, and it will undoubtedly be one of your most entertaining day trips ever. A wide range of events, including science seminars, teacher training programmes, film festivals, sky observation programmes, 3D movies, and odyssey displays, are carried out by the committed crew. The centre is open from 10 AM to 6 PM every day of the year, with the exception of Holi and Diwali.

4. Visit the Taraporewala Aquarium to Meet a Variety of Fish

Who doesn't enjoy seeing different fish species in a lovely aquarium? Here is a must-see site in Mumbai that is situated on Marine Drive. It is the ideal location for a full day of sightseeing that lasts between one and two hours. The Taraporewala Aquarium features a comprehensive collection of marine life, including sharks, turtles, and a few rare species of seashells. On TripAdvisor, travellers rated Taraporewala 3 out of 5. For Indians, the entry price ranges from Rs. 30 to 60, while for foreigners, it ranges from Rs. 100 to 200.

5. The Prince of Wales Museum: A Glorious Page of History

The museum, also known as "Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya," is among the top places to visit in Mumbai for a single day of sightseeing. There includes a sizable collection of natural history, sculptures, textiles, European paintings, Chinese, and Japanese artefacts, in addition to decorative arts. I advise you to explore the museum while on your unforgettable Mumbai sightseeing tour, and bear in mind that it is open daily from 10:15 AM to 6:00 PM.

6. Worli Seaface

Worli Seaface unquestionably boasts a top-notch promenade where you wouldn't want to miss out on a peaceful stroll in the sunshine with your loved ones. Worli Seaface is one of Mumbai's must-see sights and the ideal site to go if you want to learn more about the country's financial capital. It offers a picturesquely stunning vista characterised by limitless electric blue waves.

7. Be Adventurous at Mahalaxmi Racecourse

You could experience an adventurous environment and foreign sensations at Mahalaxmi Racecourse if there is a horse race. Furthermore, it's only a 30-minute drive from the exhilarating Mumbai Darshan City episode and Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. The Derby, a unique kind of horse race held once a year in February that showcases the excitement and spills of the event, is the perfect time to see an equestrian competition.

8. Take a nature walk at Girgaum Chowpatty

A popular tourist destination, Girgaum Chowpatty gets crowded, especially around Ganesh Visarjan, but tourists still enjoy the sound of the waves lapping against the coast. Get your thrills by swimming, indulging in a range of mouthwatering delicacies, and looking for marine life at the Mumbai Darshan.

9. Witness the Sunset at Hanging Gardens

A one-day Mumbai Darshan Tour or vacation in Mumbai come to mind? Malabar Hill in Mumbai, located at the edge of the less well-known but adored Hanging Gardens, features vibrant flora, kitschy things, and spectacular sunset views that were arranged to create a comfortable location for locals to socialise and unwind. It is open every day from 5 AM until 9 PM and is also known as Pherozeshah Mehta Gardens.
