Der Mann, der schneller redet als sein Schatten: So lässt sich Ralf Schmitz am besten beschreiben. Eine Show mit dem Comedian ist ein wahres Feuerwerk an Gags – und die folgen quasi im Sekundentakt.

Ralf Schmitz ist allerdings nicht nur als Komiker bekannt, sondern ebenfalls als Moderator diverser TV-Shows , darunter „Voll verschossen“ auf Sat.1 und „Take Me Out“ auf RTL. Auch beim Deutschen Comedypreis übernimmt er regelmäßig die Moderation.

Die Richtung, die Ralf Schmitz beruflich einschlägt, ist schon früh klar. Bereits in der Schule spielt der gebürtige Leverkusener bei verschiedenen Theaterstücken mit. Nach dem Abitur und dem Zivildienst macht er folgerichtig eine Schauspielausbildung . Ralf Schmitz ist außerdem ausgebildeter klassischer Tänzer und hat eine Gesangsausbildung . So wird er nach seinem erfolgreichen Abschluss Ensemblemitglied des Bonner Impro-Theaters „Die Springmaus“.

So ist er beispielsweise in dem Kinohit „7 Zwerge – Männer allein im Wald“ (2005) und dem Nachfolgefilm „7 Zwerge – Der Wald ist nicht genug“ (2006) als Zwerg Sunny zu sehen. Es war eine angenehme Atmosphäre und die Show war echt top wir haben schon lange nicht soviel gelacht!

Ich fand es eine super interessante Veranstaltung, die Kameras am Anfang waren ungewohnt, hat sich aber schnell gelegt. Einziger Minuspunkt, die Halle wurde nach einiger Zeit so warm dass es schon ungemütlich wurde. Ansonsten eine TOP Veranstaltung!

Es war ein toller Abend ! Kurzweilig & lustig. Super, wie Ralf Schmitz mit dem Publikum interagiert. Klasse spontane Einlagen. Zuschauer ins Programm eingebunden (wer sich ganz vorne hinsetzt, mag das ja ;-) ) Der Rahmen "TV Aufzeichnung" war neu für uns, hat aber so gut wie gar nicht gestört. Tolle Geste, dass die Zuschauer-Akteure Gutscheine bekommen haben! Danke!

SCHMITZEFREI Das neue Bühnenprogramm „Auf der Bühne zu stehen ist für mich wie Urlaub! Euer Gelächter ist meine Paella-Pfanne, euer Applaus mein Infinity-Pool! Leider ist echter Urlaub dafür meistens harte Arbeit!“ Tja, so ist das für Ralf Schmitz. Manchmal muss man eben den längsten Urlaub der Welt für ein paar Wochen unterbrechen, um heftigst ran zu klotzen. Zum Beispiel, um auf einem Flug nach Neuseeland neben einer Reisegruppe betrunkener Hobbits in nach Chemie-Unfällen riechenden Gummifüßen Inspiration für sein neuestes Bühnenprogramm zu sammeln. Dafür helfen uns dann aber wenigstens Herr Schmitzens wahnwitzige Urlaubserfahrungen, für ein paar Stunden unsere knallharte Woche zu vergessen, wenn der elektrisierende Comedy-Rührbesen auf seine unvergleichliche Art und Weise ein Pottpüree aus absurden aber wiedererkennbarer Figuren, Mini-Sketchen, improvisierten Glanzlichtern und krassen Parodien zaubert und dabei eine gnadenlose Pointe an die nächste reiht, bis wir leergelacht aber herrlich erfrischt und innerlich braungebrannt von unserem brillanten Kurztripp ans Ende menschlicher Logik in die Realität zurück kehren und uns sagen: „Das war endlich mal eine willkommene Pause im gnadenlosen Uhrwerk der Zeit, so wie damals in der Schule, hitzefrei.“ Und genau deshalb heißt Ralfs neues Programm ja auch „Schmitzefrei!“ Der freundliche Schuldirektor des Irrsinns erlässt uns hiermit für ein paar kostbare Stunden den Alltagsstress. Und eins ist Schmitzefrei garantiert nicht, nämlich witzefrei. Egal, ob Ralf nun davon berichtet, wie er ausgerechnet beim Abenteuer-Rafting-Tripp am Amazonas auf die unglaublich nervtötende Bedienung seiner Supermarkt-Käsetheke traf, bei einer kleinen Dia-Show die größten „Fails“ persönlicher und weltweiter Urlaubsfotografie präsentiert oder solomäßig die unfassbaren Szenen nachspielt, die sich ergaben, als er einen geeigneten Catsitter für seine vierpfotige Mitbewohnerin Hildegard einstellen wollte. Auch dieses Programm wird garantiert bereits wieder im Vorfeld von einer Riesenwelle Unterlasssungsklagen überschüttet werden, diesmal von Billigreiseveranstaltern, Hardcore-Globetrotteln, Kinderdisco-Animateuren und notgeilen Skilehrern. In der Theorie klingt Urlaub nämlich immer nach ´ner ziemlich coolen Sache, erinnert dann leider nur in der Praxis oft an das Leben nach der Zombie-Apokalypse: alle wollen dein Hirn fressen. Egal, ein Abend mit Ralf ist sowieso viel preisgünstiger als die noch so pauschaligste Malle-Tour, und besonders Ralfs gnadenloses Improvisationstalent wird wieder herrlichen Prüfungen unterzogen werden, wenn einzelne Individuen im Publikum lauthals die Flagge für Camping-Tripps mit kleinen Kindern hochhalten wollen. Jedenfalls werden wir alle aus dem befreienden Lachen nicht mehr herauskommen, wenn Herr Schmitz uns mit seiner Schlagfertigkeit urlaubsreif prügelt. Verbal und im übertragenen Sinne natürlich, eben „Schmitzefrei“…

der Ausbruch des neuartigen Coronavirus stellt uns alle vor neue Herausforderungen. Die Einschränkungen dauern länger als ursprünglich gedacht, gefühlt täglich wechselnde Verordnungen, die zudem von Bundesland zu Bundesland anders sind. All die Herausforderungen machen es uns leider unmöglich unsere Shows frühzeitig sicher zu planen und machen es uns teilweise produktionstechnisch unmöglich, die Shows im normalen Umfang durchzuführen. Wir bedauern die anhaltende Situation und auch den Umstand, dass die gesamten Tournee-Termine von Ralf Schmitz – Schmitzefrei  (bis vorerst Ende Februar 2022) verlegt werden müssen.

Verlegt vom 23.04.2021 Da es mit den jetzigen Sicherheits- und Hygienevorschriften nicht möglich sein wird, den geplanten Tournee-Start des neuen Programms „Schmitzefrei“ von Ralf Schmitz stattfinden zu lassen, sehen wir uns aus organisatorischen Gründen leider gezwungen, die gesamte Tour in das darauffolgende Jahr 2022 zu verschieben:

Tja, so ist das für Ralf Schmitz. Manchmal muss man eben den längsten Urlaub der Welt für ein paar Wochen unterbrechen, um heftigst ran zu klotzen. Zum Beispiel, um auf einem Flug nach Neuseeland neben einer Reisegruppe betrunkener Hobbits in nach Chemie-Unfällen riechenden Gummifüßen Inspiration für sein neuestes Bühnenprogramm zu sammeln.

Dafür helfen uns dann aber wenigstens Herr Schmitzens wahnwitzige Urlaubserfahrungen, für ein paar Stunden unsere knallharte Woche zu vergessen, wenn der elektrisierende Comedy-Rührbesen auf seine unvergleichliche Art und Weise ein Pottpüree aus absurden aber wiedererkennbarer Figuren, Mini-Sketchen, improvisierten Glanzlichtern und krassen Parodien zaubert und dabei eine gnadenlose Pointe an die nächste reiht, bis wir leergelacht aber herrlich erfrischt und innerlich braungebrannt von unserem brillanten Kurztripp ans Ende menschlicher Logik in die Realität zurück kehren und uns sagen: „Das war endlich mal eine willkommene Pause im gnadenlosen Uhrwerk der Zeit, so wie damals in der Schule, hitzefrei.“ Und genau deshalb heißt Ralfs neues Programm ja auch „Schmitzefrei!“ Der freundliche Schuldirektor des Irrsinns erlässt uns hiermit für ein paar kostbare Stunden den Alltagsstress.

Und eins ist Schmitzefrei garantiert nicht, nämlich witzefrei. Egal, ob Ralf nun davon berichtet, wie er ausgerechnet beim Abenteuer-Rafting-Tripp am Amazonas auf die unglaublich nervtötende Bedienung seiner Supermarkt-Käsetheke traf, bei einer kleinen Dia-Show die größten „Fails“ persönlicher und weltweiter Urlaubsfotografie präsentiert oder solomäßig die unfassbaren Szenen nachspielt, die sich ergaben, als er einen geeigneten Catsitter für seine vierpfotige Mitbewohnerin Hildegard einstellen wollte. Auch dieses Programm wird garantiert bereits wieder im Vorfeld von einer Riesenwelle Unterlasssungsklagen überschüttet werden, diesmal von Billigreiseveranstaltern, Hardcore-Globetrotteln, Kinderdisco-Animateuren und notgeilen Skilehrern. In der Theorie klingt Urlaub nämlich immer nach ´ner ziemlich coolen Sache, erinnert dann leider nur in der Praxis oft an das Leben nach der Zombie-Apokalypse: alle wollen dein Hirn fressen.

Egal, ein Abend mit Ralf ist sowieso viel preisgünstiger als die noch so pauschaligste Malle-Tour, und besonders Ralfs gnadenloses Improvisationstalent wird wieder herrlichen Prüfungen unterzogen werden, wenn einzelne Individuen im Publikum lauthals die Flagge für Camping-Tripps mit kleinen Kindern hochhalten wollen. Jedenfalls werden wir alle aus dem befreienden Lachen nicht mehr herauskommen, wenn Herr Schmitz uns mit seiner Schlagfertigkeit urlaubsreif prügelt. Verbal und im übertragenen Sinne natürlich, eben „Schmitzefrei“…

This June’s live music calendar is more congested than the M50 during back to school rush hour. The subsequent advent of earlier stage times has resulted in three distinct and unwelcome phenomena.

First, audiences cannot enjoy a band with the visual power of Kraftwerk to its full potential, as headline acts are effectively going onstage in broad daylight, which was also evident at recent shows by Pulp and Blur. Second, an early start stacks the odds against the time-honoured ritual of going for a pre-gig pint, which is now in grave danger of becoming totally extinct on school nights.

Third, there is an elevated risk of bees stinging the audience. For the very first time in my concert attendance history, I was stung by a bee as Kraftwerk were performing their 1981 hit, Computer Love . This incident ultimately transpired to be a sign of tremendous good fortune, as the evening became the most enthralling show I’ve witnessed the robotic wizards of electronica deliver since the Olympia in 2004, when all four members of U2 looked on owllike from a stage side box in the hallowed Grand Old Lady of Dame Street.

A Kraftwerk live show in 2023 is anchored from stage right by lead singer and keyboardist Ralf Hütter, who cofounded the group in 1969 alongside the late Florian Schneider, who died in 2020. For the highly anticipated Irish appearances at Limerick’s St John’s Castle and Trinity College Dublin’s cricket pitch, Hütter is flanked by Henning Schmitz, Falk Grieffenhagen, and Georg Bongartz, none of whom were original members of this phenomenally pioneering band, who are undisputedly The Beatles of electronic music.

Then, there is the little matter of their aesthetic influence. They started wearing suits and ties from 1974, the year they released their fourth studio album, Autobahn, after Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider attended an exhibition in their native Düsseldorf by British art duo Gilbert & George.

In 2012 and 2013, Kraftwerk staged retrospectives in some of the world’s most prestigious galleries, performing entire albums in full at London’s Tate Modern, New York’s MOMA, and the Kunstsammlung in their hometown. They remain one of the most sampled groups in music history.

Hip-hop, electro, Detroit techno, Chicago house, electronica, and quite possibly Coldplay’s later career, would not have been possible without Kraftwerk. I think the latter is what most irked that bee, as Chris Martin was granted official permission from the German giants to use Computer Love as the motif for Coldplay’s 2005 monstrous hit, Talk .

Hütter and company are resplendent in skintight fluorescent suits, which for four men of quite an advanced age, they pull off surprisingly well. It certainly helps if you’ve got one of the finest back catalogues in musical history at your disposal.

The Model is a perfect pop song. Neon Lights is shimmering and pretty. Autobahn is a timeless epic that sounds like it was freshly forged this morning in their studio, Kling Klang.

What might be lacking in terms of suitable darkness for this spellbinding performance is compensated for in volume and pristine sound quality.

This is fourth time I’ve seen Kraftwerk, and quite easily the best after the aforementioned tour de force in the Olympia, despite the valiant efforts of an enraged Trinity bee.

The Unique Burial of a Child of Early Scythian Time at the Cemetery of Saryg-Bulun (Tuva)

In 1988, the Tuvan Archaeological Expedition (led by M. E. Kilunovskaya and V. A. Semenov) discovered a unique burial of the early Iron Age at Saryg-Bulun in Central Tuva. There are two burial mounds of the Aldy-Bel culture dated by 7th century BC. Within the barrows, which adjoined one another, forming a figure-of-eight, there were discovered 7 burials, from which a representative collection of artifacts was recovered. Burial 5 was the most unique, it was found in a coffin made of a larch trunk, with a tightly closed lid. Due to the preservative properties of larch and lack of air access, the coffin contained a well-preserved mummy of a child with an accompanying set of grave goods. The interred individual retained the skin on his face and had a leather headdress painted with red pigment and a coat, sewn from jerboa fur. The coat was belted with a leather belt with bronze ornaments and buckles. Besides that, a leather quiver with arrows with the shafts decorated with painted ornaments, fully preserved battle pick and a bow were buried in the coffin. Unexpectedly, the full-genomic analysis, showed that the individual was female. This fact opens a new aspect in the study of the social history of the Scythian society and perhaps brings us back to the myth of the Amazons, discussed by Herodotus. Of course, this discovery is unique in its preservation for the Scythian culture of Tuva and requires careful study and conservation.

Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.

Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.  

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.
