Book tickets for a tour of Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, better known as Milan's San Siro stadium; the football stadium of the two clubs AC Milan and Internazionale.
For the football fans: Stadio San Siro
The San Siro football stadium is located in the West of Milan in the San Siro district and has been home to both A.C. Milan and F.C. Internazionale since the mid-twentieth century. It officially bears the name Stadio Giuseppe Meazza , but you hardly ever hear this name anymore. For supporters of both clubs and the football clubs themselves, it is San Siro. It is also interesting that part of the 2026 Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympics will take place in the San Siro stadium. At the moment there are plans for a new stadium and this should be ready before the new season starts in 2022. Are you a football fan of one of the Milan clubs? Then you would like to visit before the San Siro stadium is demolished.
Tickets San Siro Stadium Tour and Museum
During a tour you will see changing rooms, football shirts of the most important football players of AC Milan and FC Internazionale and then you can also go on the field itself. After the Milan stadium tour you can then visit the small museum and not far away from this museum is Casa Milan with Mondo Milan, which is completely dedicated to AC Milan. At both locations you will find memorabilia that will make your football heart beat faster. And a tour of the football souvenir stores at one of the two locations will make your visit complete. San Siro – not just football
However, the stadium has been the venue for multiple sports in the past. Box and rugby matches have also taken place. In addition to sports, it is also an important event location, as it can receive a larger audience. Just imagine the atmosphere during a big concert here. Many famous artists performed here during the forties, such as Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, U2, Madonna and Pearl Jam. Many Italian top artists have also performed here. If you are a fan of a certain artist, consulting the event calendar may provide you with a nice extra, such as attending a concert during your visit in Milan.

San Siro Stadium Tour
- 9.10 / 10 7 reviews | 106 travellers All the facilities were beautiful. From the museum, everything was very interesting. The locker rooms made it feel like being with the team. And being on the field was spectacular. We were told that there would be a guide, but that was not true. The truth is, they didn't even take care of it since everything was very clear on the tour. And in the end the store had everything in products and souvenirs 8 Arturo Nava

Lives up to the hype
Iconic stadium. Really lives up to the atmosphere hype. Accessible by the subway too.
If you’re up in the gods, you’d want to be fit. Facilities a little aged but doesn’t take away from the experience. Plenty going on around the ground pre and post match. Easily the no. 1 thing to do in Milan.

Inter and ac milan meet with webuild to discuss saving iconic san siro.

The iconic San Siro is one of world football's most recognisable venues
After years of discussions, debates and false dawns, a company has stepped forward to restyle the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Known more commonly as San Siro, the home to both Inter and AC Milan has grown outdated and is in drastic need of upgrades if the city’s two clubs are to continue playing there.
Each has explored options of building a new stadium elsewhere, but the combination of Italy’s exhausting bureaucracy and the idea of leaving such an iconic venue have always prevented them.
Now however, Italian construction company Webuild has held a presentation event with leading figures from the two Serie A clubs as well as the Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala.
AC Milan President Paolo Scaroni and Inter CEO Alessandro Antonello were among those watching at the event at Palazzo Marino, which was led by Massimo Ferrari, the Director General of WeBuild.
What does Webuild plan to do with San Siro?
Ferrari told reporters that his company "would be ready to start the work as early as 2025," breaking it down into small projects that would only reduce the capacity of the stadium by 5,000-6,000 seats at a time.
That would allow Milan and Inter to continue playing there throughout the rebuilding work, with details of what can be expected being explained in a number of press reports over the last few days.
Best High-Yield Savings Accounts Of 2024
Best 5% interest savings accounts of 2024.
As reported by the Milan edition of La Repubblica , the Webuild project would have several key points, starting with a complete renovation of the entire first tier. This would include both the seating areas and the interior spaces, modernising the facilities available to supporters and vastly improving the match day experience.
On the second and third tier the work is much more simple, consisting of some structural modernisation and installing new seats, while far more impactful changes will be made outside the current structure of the ground.
Webuild are planning to improve access to the stadium itself for fans on their way in, but also to the car park, where the idea is to make it much easier to enter and leave while also making room for many more vehicles.
There are also plans for a second large building – taking up approximately 9,000 square metres and accessible from the stadium – which will house a museum, restaurants and other amenities.
Yet one of the most interesting details emerged in a report by the Corriere della Sera , with the Italian newspaper noting the plan to vastly increase the number of VIP and hospitality tickets.
San Siro currently has space for just 2,900 spectators in those areas, far below the numbers at some of European football’s best stadia, meaning Milan and Inter are losing vast amounts of revenue.
Webuild’s project will increase that figure to almost 13,000, with reports believing that the entire project will cost close to €400 million ($428.5 million) but the figure will need to be confirmed if the work goes ahead.
Both clubs have made significant progress with their idea to leave San Siro, but the Mayor of Milan hopes that what they saw at the presentation will convince them to abandon their respective projects.
“This afternoon WeBuild presented to Milan, Inter and to the Municipality of Milan a feasibility study for a major renovation of the San Siro stadium,” Giuseppe Sala wrote in the Instagram post above.
“In my opinion this is an extraordinary project and I hope that the teams will take it into serious consideration, in the knowledge that both are also working on other options. The feasibility study suggests a program lasting a total of three years, with an absolutely acceptable reduction in the capacity of the stadium during the work.
“In the next few weeks the teams will meet WeBuild to delve deeper into the project and at the end of these meetings it will be possible to have an estimate of the investment.”
It is early days, but it seems San Siro looks set to remain the home of Milan’s two giant clubs.
