Unfortunately, Cruise Loch Linnhe's boats are not wheelchair accessible, as they operate from a pier on a loch with a big tidal range. As such, embarking is only possible using a narrow runged gangway.

Daily 2 hour cruises on Loch Linnhe visiting our local seal colony on black rock as well as some of Fort William's key cultural and historical sights. An informative commentary and refreshments are provided on board by our friendly crew!

Day Cruises Departing Fort William's Town Pier our day cruises to 'seal island' run 3 times a day at 10.30, 13.00, and 15.30 (n.b Nov-March we run a reduced timetable please check our website for departure times). Trips last 2 hours allowing plenty of time for you to enjoy spectacular views of Ben Nevis and the surrounding area. We will begin by visiting the entrance of the Caledonian Canal and the Corpach islands where we have regular sightings of White-tailed eagles, Otters, and porpoises. After that, we will cruise to 'Seal Island' which is home to both common and grey seals. Along the way, we will come across key historical and cultural sights such as fish farms, traditional black houses, and ancient Caledonian forests. Whilst onboard you will be entertained and informed with live commentary of the area by our extremely experienced and knowledgeable skipper Karl and our friendly crew will be on hand to provide refreshments and to take photos. Evening Cruises From April~September , we run our 90 minte evening cruises around Loch Linnhe and up to the very tranquil Loch Eil. Our evening cruises boast the best sunsets over the loch and unbeatable views of Ben Nevis! We also have a well-stocked bar onboard and our crew are on-hand to serve drinks, spot wildlife and talk about points of interest along the route. Our Vessels  Our Vessels have both indoor and outdoor seating including our elevated viewing deck and onboard toilet. Tea and coffee facilities along with snacks and juice to keep you refreshed during your cruise.

If you’re staying at the jaw-droppingly beautiful Bunree Club Campsite , make a tour with with Cruise Loch Linnhe your priority.

Boarding the boat is straightforward, although I found the ramp a little steep and carried my small dog Dougal aboard.  

If the weather is less than kind you can sit in the cabin with a hot drink or something stronger (payable), although most people brave the open deck whatever the weather to make the most of the surrounding nature and wildlife.  

During the voyage, our skipper Karl shares an endless stream of fascinating facts about everything you can see. Explanations range from the geological to the historical to the comical.  

Highlight of the trip is, of course, seeing the seals. Karl skillfully manoeuvred the boat as close as possible to where the seals were basking without causing them worry or distress, allowing us to get some amazing photographs.  

The two hour cruise was over way too quickly, but Karl had been a fantastic source of inspiration about what to do, where to go, and what to see during the rest of my stay in this beautiful area.

I have been caravanning since I was knee-high to a jockey wheel, originally in a 1969 Thomson Glenmore, and first joined the Club when I was 17. Nowadays you’ll find me with Dougal, my trusty dog, living the dream in a variety of caravans, van conversions, and motorhomes. We tour the length and breadth of Europe on a year-round basis, but my heart is very much in Scotland and especially the beautiful Western Isles. I love the Outer Hebrides so much, I even learned to speak the Gaelic.

Touring is all about freedom, adventure, discovery, and spontaneity. Club Sites are great when I need to relax in the knowledge that I'm going to have everything I need to hand in order to feel safe and comfortable. However, in the warmer months, my preference is to find a quiet and remote CL where I can get back to basics and back to nature.

"Seal Island"

Black Rock, commonly known as ‘Seal Island’, is a large protected area of rock that is home to both Common and Atlantic Grey seals.

Fleet Facts

Elsie is a twin hulled vessel built by the renowned Blyth Catamaran Ltd. of Canvey Island.

Atlantic Grey Seal

Atlantic Grey seals are even today a rare species but even so, do visit Loch Linnhe and are visible all year round.

At 4410 feet (1345metres) Ben Nevis is Britain’s highest peak and is actually remains of a collapsed volcano!

Sea mammals are quite exciting to find and Loch Linnhe is home to quite a few, including the common seal.
