Is there parking?

City Cruises does not own the parking lots or parking facilities. However, different nearby parking options are available for guests joining the cruise. Validated parking is available on level 2 of the Whole Foods Parking Garage at 1400 Waterfront Terrace (between 19th Street & River View Terrace), Weehawken, NJ 07086. Parking will be validated at the time of garage exit. Upon exit, insert parking ticket into machine at the gate and press call button to speak to the attendant, letting them know you are a City Cruises guest exiting. This complimentary parking option is only available during weekdays and is subject to change per ownership of parking lots. Paid parking is available at the Sheraton Hotel at 500 Harbor Blvd. Propark's paid parking lot is also available directly across the street from the Marina.

Is there a dress code?

Yes, there's a dress code. The dinner cruise requires casual attire, such as khakis, nice jeans, dresses, button-up shirts, and blouses.

Are children allowed onboard?

Yes, the cruise is family-friendly! Infants ages two (2) and below cruise for free.

Are there highchairs or booster seats available?

Yes, there are highchairs available. No booster seat is offered.

Can I bring a cake from outside?

Yes. Outside cakes are allowed on board as long as they're covered and held at your table. Please use flameless/LED birthday candles. Open flames like a lit candle are not allowed on board.

Do I need to bring an ID?

Yes, please bring a government-issued ID. The U.S. Coast Guard requires all passengers over 18 years old to have a photo ID. You can only buy alcoholic drinks if you're age 21+ with a valid ID.

What happens if it rains or snows?

The Spirit of New Jersey dining vessel features multi-level climate-controlled decks; it sails rain or shine. In the case of severe weather conditions or upon the advice of the U.S. Coast Guard, the vessel will remain dockside and still provide the full dining service.

We had paid for an unlimited drinks package and a window table for just the four of us. On boarding the vessel we were shown to our table, at the bow of the boat next to the buffet (result!) and our waiter\steward Curtis introduced himself. We must point out he was excellent as he was attentive throughout the night, kept the drinks coming, and was really pleasant, friendly and good humoured. A credit to Spirit Cruises. The food...I LOVED THE FOOD! Creamy mashed potato, broccoli, cheesy pasta, chicken in honey and ? (can't remember) sauce, meatballs, braised beef, various salads. The only thing I didn't have was the fish as I don't like fish. I didn't have any desserts either as I went back for seconds. Delicious. After going down the Hudson and up the East River under the bridges we went back out into the bay to sit for a photo op at the Statue of Liberty. She looked spectacular at night. On returning to the dock we were asked where we were going to and as we were returning to Manhatten they said we could stay on board as the ship was going back there to berth. The crew is polite and helpful, there was a sufficient variety of food, unfortunately only water, tea or coffee are included in the basic price and the pictures taken at the beginning are also pricey. The staff on the ship were friendly and helpful. The food was good but nothing too exceptional. We went primarily for the views of the NY skyline and Statue of Liberty and we were not disappointed! Celebrating my husband's birthday...this dinner cruise was beautiful...they took all the right precautions due to covid...the boat, staff, food, music and ambience was just what we needed for a night out. We had a great table by the window music was playing when we boarded and a DJ kept us entertained throughout the trip. Drinks were reasonably priced and the buffet lunch was varied and plentiful. The weather was gloomy but our members were cheerful thanks to the wonderful staff. Everyone from the office staff to the bar tenders, wait staff, chefs, entertainment staff and crew went out of their way to make sure everyone had a great time. The food was wonderful. The crew went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible time, going out of their way to meet every request, anticipating what we needed, and taking the time to talk and LISTEN to the details and get it right. Dion was incredible, she took such good care of all our party, right down to the last detail of giving my wife flowers at the end of it all! Matt was also there for us, making sure the little details were seen to, helping our mother on and off the ship. We had paid for an unlimited drinks package and a window table for just the four of us. On boarding the vessel we were shown to our table, at the bow of the boat next to the buffet (result!) and our waiter\steward Curtis introduced himself. We must point out he was excellent as he was attentive throughout the night, kept the drinks coming, and was really pleasant, friendly and good humoured. A credit to Spirit Cruises. The food...I LOVED THE FOOD! Creamy mashed potato, broccoli, cheesy pasta, chicken in honey and ? (can't remember) sauce, meatballs, braised beef, various salads. The only thing I didn't have was the fish as I don't like fish. I didn't have any desserts either as I went back for seconds. Delicious. After going down the Hudson and up the East River under the bridges we went back out into the bay to sit for a photo op at the Statue of Liberty. She looked spectacular at night. On returning to the dock we were asked where we were going to and as we were returning to Manhatten they said we could stay on board as the ship was going back there to berth. That saved us a bit on our taxi fare. We can't recommend Spirit Cruises highly enough. Read more Written 23 September 2019
