Justin Bieber is a popular Canadian teen pop and R&B singer-songwriter. Known for his devoted followers, the “Beliebers,” the teen idol has worked with the who’s who in pop culture.

During elementary and high school, Bieber learned to play the piano, guitar, drums, and the trumpet. At age 12, after placing second in a local talent show singing Ne-Yo’s “So Sick,” Bieber’s mother, Mallette, began to upload the singer’s performances to YouTube.

In mid-2007, marketing executive Scooter Braun accidentally clicked on one of Bieber’s videos, which ultimately resulted in the young singer signing with Braun and R&B singer Usher’s Raymond Braun Media Group. Whilst still recording his full-length debut, the singer issued his first single “One Time” in July 2009. Reaching No. 12 on the Canadian Hot 100 and No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100, the single catapulted Bieber to international success at the age of 15.

The EP My World followed in November 2009, spawning the singles “One Less Lonely Girl,” “Love Me,” and “Favorite Girl.” Following a host of high-profile TV appearances, the release was certified platinum in the U.S. and double platinum in Canada and the UK. Toward the tail end of 2009, Justin Bieber performed Stevie Wonder’s “Someday at Christmas” at the White House for President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama.

Ahead of his album My World 2.0, Bieber released the smash hit single “Baby” featuring rapper Ludacris. Issued in March 2010, My World 2.0 topped the U.S. Billboard 200, making Bieber the youngest person since Stevie Wonder to reach the top spot, as well as the first act since the Beatles to have a debut album reach No. 1.

Spawning the singles “Never Let You Go,” “Eenie Meenie,” “Somebody to Love,” and “U Smile,” the My World 2.0’s R&B style earned positive reviews from critics and later a 2011 Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album. The album’s success was not limited to the U.S. and Canada, and Bieber embarked on his “My World Tour” after the release to reach his international fan base.

The album My World Acoustic arrived in October 2010, featuring several acoustic covers of previous songs, followed by the 3-D music biopic Justin Bieber: Never Say Never in February 2011. Bieber’s Christmas-themed album Under the Mistletoe appeared in November 2011, once again topping the Billboard 200 and generating significant buzz.

Released in June 2012, Bieber’s second full-length album Believe marked a move away from his teen-pop audience and toward a more dance- and R&B-inspired style. With production from Diplo, Darkchild, and Max Martin, the album spawned the Top 10 hit singles “Boyfriend,” “As Long as You Love Me” featuring Big Sean, and “Beauty and a Beat” featuring Nicki Minaj. The album became the singer’s fourth No. 1 album and was followed once again by an acoustic album, entitled Believe Acoustic.

In October of 2013, Bieber announced to his fans that he would release a new track every Monday until Christmas Day, when his new film Justin Bieber’s Believe would come out — a sequel to his first film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. This round of singles kicked off with “Heartbreaker” followed by “All That Matters,” “Hold Tight,” and others.

The final release in the holiday series was “Confident,” with a special feature by Chance the Rapper. That day, Bieber also announced that all 10 songs would appear on an upcoming album Journals, on top of five other unreleased tracks. Those five additional tracks featured big names like Lil Wayne and Future, and the album was released to massive cheers from fans for exclusive purchase on iTunes.

February 2015 saw the release of “Where Are Ü Now,” featuring Jack Ü (a duo including Skrillex and Diplo). The track rose up to the number one spot on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and even earned Bieber a Grammy. Yet even that success paled in comparison to his announcement of his fourth studio album Purpose, which he teased with a new single called “What Do You Mean?”

“What Do You Mean?” became Bieber’s first number one single in the U.S., and he set a Guinness World Record as the youngest solo male artist to debut at the Hot 100’s number one spot. The song reached the number one spot on iTunes within five minutes of its release. The third single from Purpose, “Love Yourself,” is an acoustic ballad with some of Bieber’s best lyrics and melodies yet. When Purpose came out on November 13, 2015, it debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 — a career-crowning moment for most, but the sixth album of Bieber’s to do so.

April 2017 saw the unexpected release of the remix “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, which featured Bieber singing in Spanish. This remix shook the music industry, rising to the top of charts worldwide and marking a merging of the Spanish- and English-listening markets.

2017 marked some of the most iconic collaborations yet in Bieber’s career, including an appearance on DJ Khaled’s single “I’m The One” with Quavo, Chance the Rapper, and Lil Wayne. He also teamed up with BloodPop to release the single “Friends” in August of that year.

In 2019, Bieber surprised everyone at Coachella when he appeared on stage for the first time in two years. Less than a month later, he released a single with Ed Sheeran called “I Don’t Care,” which became a worldwide hit in a short time. On July 11, 2019, he featured on “Bad Guy,” a remix of the breakthrough hit by Billie Eilish.

In 2020, he released the docu-series Justin Bieber: Seasons on YouTube, which documented parts of his life less visible to the public until then: his marriage, his music, and his struggles with Lyme disease. It received over 32 million in the first week alone, breaking YouTube’s all-time records. Bieber followed this by announcing his fifth studio album Changes, which came out on Valentine’s Day 2020.

Since then, Bieber has released singles with Ariana Grande, Drake, and countless others — and also found time to record Freedom, an EP inspired by gospel music that came out on Easter 2021. He continues to break all-time records for Billboard music charts, Spotify, and other platforms worldwide. It’s hard to name a bigger superstar in the world today, and you have a chance to catch him in concert this year — don’t miss the opportunity.

I saw Justin Bieber perform live a few years ago, at the O2 arena in London. It was long before Bieber had begun to cement a rather bad reputation for himself, so I went to the concert with the doe eyed innocence of a young Belieber excited to see her idol. Even now, despite the bad press, there is no doubt that Bieber is an extremely talented artist and that his concerts are one hell of a show- a once in a lifetime experience. Bieber proved that he had real, as opposed to manufactured, talent on stage. He sung all his songs live, and his voice was undeniably good. Even more impressive was his dance moves. Bieber dominated the stage, dancing round and showing off some expert moves with seemingly total ease. Classic such as ‘Baby’ and ‘Boyfriend’ were all obviously performed. When Bieber performed ‘One Less Lonely Girl’, he brought a random audience member on stage with him. He sung to her and presented her with a beautiful bouquet, breaking young hearts everywhere. The girls standing in front of me were actually crying with jealousy at this point (when Bieber had first appeared on stage, it was tears of happiness). The highlight of the show was when mentor Usher appeared to perform ‘Somebody to Love’, the duo’s dancing was off the chain at this point!

Hi Justin Bieber, I wanted to tell you that I have no idea what I'm doing RIGHT now, but anyways I've heard you've went to Philly for a concert. I wish I was there, my heart is broken right now cause I wasn't able to go. I thought I was but I guess my family just didn't have money for me and my twin sister at all. (Even though I'm still belieber and my twin isn't!) We only live a hour and a half away from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia Pennsylvania (PA). Wow!!! Well, I really wanted to tell you that I want you to come back to Philly and perform this year AGAIN. Please. I don't want to rush you but I never went to your performance. I'm only 12 years old, I have a twin, five sisters. My older sister doesn't even act like a sister, and I've never done anything fun, like nothing exciting, fun, in my whole life. And all I want, at least, I want to do is go to your performance In Philadelphia PA. It would be very great and I'll never forget about it and you. Well it would be cool if you came back to Philly again, hopefully I don't miss it, cause this time since my mom don't have money I'll save up money for us four to see you. (If its possible for my broke self.) But see yah Justin Bieber, I don't know how to end this paragraph. Ummmmmm byeeeeeee, luv u! lol :)

Justin seemed kind of out of it during at least the first half of the show. He took two pretty long breaks (at least 5 minutes) where it seemed like the dancers and other people on stage didn't really know what was going on. At one point he just stood on stage in silence for several minutes facing the back, confusing the crew, perfomers, and audience. I think he might be sick because he was coughing a lot and lip-synced quite a bit. He also let the audience sing a lot of his songs. Some highlights were when he played the guitar and sang acoustic versions of some songs, his drum solo, and his performance of upbeat hits like Company, Sorry, and Baby. He didn't interact as much with his audience as I had expected. Unfortunately, he is not doing OLLG during the Purpose tour. He sings really well and the audience is very engaged, possibly more than himself. I recommend going IF, like me, you've been a fan for a while and really want to see him. If you just like his music, it's not worth it because it's not a very captivating performance and it won't be worth the money. Additionally his merchandise definitely isn't that nice, especially considering the cost.

Last night was the best night of my life I think I'm still in shock tbh. Justin looked so happy and healthy last night and that's all I could ever ask for. He may mime for some songs but that doesn't even bother me just breathing the same air and being in the same room as him is a dream come true. Although I fainted just before he performed cold water because I was too claustrophobic I still got straight back up as soon as I heard the start of cold water and carried on having an amazing time even though I was not feeling well. Justin sounded absolutely amazing throughout the whole of the show, his dances were perfect aswell as the dancers. He was having such a good time you could tell by the smile on his face throughout the whole show and the best part was that everyone went silent as soon as he started talked to show him we all respected him and what he had to say. I'll never forget when he made eye contact with me when I put down my phone and put my hands into a heart during purpose. It was the best night of my life and the most amazing 16th birthday present I could ever wish for. I love him so much and I can't wait to see him again. Xxxx

Can anyone who haven't go to a Justin's concert write a comment??

My name is Diana, I'm 22 and I have never going to a Justin's concert!!! I just read all the previous comments and my tears just fell down... because the fact to see and meet Justin personally, is my biggest dream but I BELIEVE, I BELIEVE that one day I'm not going to write ''I haven't go'', the next comment will be ''I went to a Justin's''

Unfortunately, I didn't see Justin growing up during his tours, but I followed his entire life and now, I have among my stuffs a T-shirt of Purpose Tour and his perfume ''Someday''.

It might sound crazy, but I have have times when I speak lonely, just preparing the time when I'll face Justin and imagine all the conversation, because I have to make true this phrase that it's only mine ''I WILL MEET YOU, OR I WILL'' and this will happen, that is a promess. And when that time running, I'll just tell him... my life is very completely now...

I loved all the comments and I just grateful because I know my idol is a very loved person

Seeing Justin Bieber perform live was one of the most fun times of my life. All of the lights, and videos/pictures that they put up on stage are amazing. Being able to be so close to a famous artist and hearing them perform is beyond incredible. Hearing his voice live and seeing him sing through all of his emotions is something that not a lot of people will get to experience. As well as singing Justin also will perform on the drums or piano in some of his songs. Not to mention he is also a great dancer on stage. Justin Bieber is great to see live, because you feel like he connects with every single person in the audience. He tries to make everyone laugh and smile and have a good time. He is very calm on stage, in front of thousands of screaming girls. All concerts, not only Justin Bieber concerts are fun times for anyone, no matter what age! Going to see someone sing and perform live is just incredible. I hope this interests you fans in seeing him live. You will have one of the best nights of your life at a Justin Bieber concert!

The show was fantastic. Great sound, amazing lighting, talented musicians and dancers... even dazzling fireworks.

However, the main character was not up to the show's standards.

Bieber did not engage with his audience, did not smile once, did not put his heart in it.

Screaming girls didn't notice that the object of their desire hardly sang... since they wet the ones singing each song by heart.

His younger fans don't care if he shows that he doesn't enjoy his chosen line of work. Parents who ent with them think he should respect his public.

If he is bored, he should study to be something else.

On the other hand, the organization was pitiful. The guys showing people around did not know their way around. According to one of them a friend's row "did not exist", and to another, mine "was nowhere tocbe found". People were standing on the limpy chairs which made it hard for smaller children to watch the concert.

In short, I would have rather stay home, and the show had no passion, but my kid's enthusiasm was worth it.

Really disappointed in this show, we paid in excess of £700 for 4 tickets to take my two daughters to their first ever concert and I was disgusted how Justin spoke to his fans and threw his mic on the floor and stormed off stage!

I've seen Adele and Coldplay this year who were both very down to earth, humble and appreciated their fans by the bucket load. Justin ought to take some tips from these far superior artists on how to work a crowd and show gratitude.

Also not very impressed that Justin mimed to around 80% of the show, not even attempting to disguise the fact by being bothered to hold his mic to his mouth, as he's not a very energetic dancer out of breath most of the time I didn't see any reason for him to mime so much, the only thing I did notice was him floating around the stage on his massive ego the whole evening.

I won't even be able to listen to his music after this.

He really doesn't deserve his fans.

Sunday, October 2nd I went to the Purpose World Tour Copenhagen in Telia Parken.

I went to the show with my best friend and we had a really good time.

When we arrived to Telia Parken, there was so many Beliebers, it was incredible. Well, we waited in line for the doors to open, and when the doors opened we went inside the Telia Parken. The stadium was huge. There was so many people in there.

After the most people found their seats, the opening band came on. It was a band from UK/Liverpool, they were called Mic Lowkey.

After a while the show finally started. Justin opened his show with his first song from his Purpose Album, Mark My Words. The audience were so turned up - when you looked over the stadium, there were lights from phones everywhere, it looked like stars, it was so beautiful.

Well the show was incredible, Justin was in a good mood and the audience was awesome. So the show was amazing.

Jaden released his second album “ERYS” in July of 2019. The album features collaborations with his sister, Willow Smith, as well as Tyler the Creator, Trinidad James, ASAP Rocky, Lido and Kid Cudi. In support of the album, Jaden opened for Tyler the Creator’s tour IGOR alongside Blood Orange and Goldlink in the fall of 2019. Jaden wrapped the Willow & Erys North American Tour that he co-headlined alongside Willow in December 2019. Smith announced his project ‘The Sunset Tapes’ and new single ‘GOKU’ in the fall of 2018. The Sunset Tapes: A Cool Tape Story was later released in November of 2018. In November 2017 Smith released his album “SYRE” via his own MSFTS Music/Roc Nation label through their Interscope Records partnership. His first mixtape “The Cool Café” was released in 2012. Smith has also hosted his own program on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio show.

About ¿Téo?:

Mateo was brought up bilingual and is fluent in Spanish and English. Mateo discovered his love for the arts at an early age and would produce and star in various independent and studio films. In addition to being in front of the camera as a young actor, he simultaneously explored his love of music and soon discovered his voice would lead his creative path in a musical direction, producing original content as young as ten years old. Mateo's admiration for his culture and international background profoundly influences his music and explains his transcendent career worldwide. Since his debut single "Uno Dos " (2017) featured longtime friend and collaborator Jaden Smith, ¿Téo? has garnered millions of listeners and has captured audiences during his concert tours and in theaters - appearing recently in Sony's feature film Blast Beat (out now in select theatres), with his brother Moises, Colombian American star Kali Uchis, and Diane Guerrero (Netflix's Orange is the New Black ) which premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. ¿Téo? has developed a genre that draws elements of Bossa-Nova, Hip Hop, and Alternative complemented by his very distinct and hypnotizing voice, a genre that he and his fans refer to as "Neo-American." ¿Téo? 's below-the-radar approach and mystique elements surrounding him have created a movement that follows him. His new album, Sol , represents ¿Téo? 's multi-faceted, all-encompassing approach to music and is highlighted by recent singles “Buzzed" (feat. Willow Smith), “What’s On Ur Mind" and “Suplicar," the latter of which has quickly garnered millions of independent streams.

About Eddie Benjamin:

Rotating between an arsenal of instruments and singing with spotlight-grabbing swagger, Eddie Benjamin brings a flourishing kaleidoscopic color to popular music. The 19-year-old Australia-born, Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer channels fresh fire through a classic approach. Playing in jazz clubs since he was in grade school with players more than twice his age, he later sparked a buzz online, sharing viral covers generating millions of views, these uploads soon caught the attention of fellow Australian native, Sia. Moving to Los Angeles shortly after, he found himself in the studio working on major releases behind-the-scenes. He has quietly become the ultimate “secret weapon” for some of the biggest superstars in the world as Sia, Meghan Trainor, Ryan Tedder, Labrinth, and even Earth, Wind & Fire have all called on him to collaborate, entrusting him as a creative voice. Over the past year, he turned heads with Justin Bieber, who dubbed him “the next generation” and the next up to “crush the world.” Justin also featured Eddie prominently in his documentary “Justin Bieber: Next Chapter.” Now with his first official project Emotional out in the world, which enlisted Sia as a feature on the alluring single “Diamond Eyes”, Eddie has his sights on releasing his debut album.

Justin Bieber will do good things for his fans while also supporting some special causes on his about-to-launch Justice World Tour. The singer announced on Thursday (Feb. 17) that the 90-date global run slated to kick off on Friday (Feb. 18) in San Diego will bring “Justin’s personal credo of ‘Justice in Action’ to every corner of the globe,” according to a statement.

The tour will help raise awareness about criminal justice reform, climate action and voter registration on the massive outing that will hit 20 countries on five continents by pairing with a number of social justice organizations while encouraging Beliebers to do their part. On each night there will be local action opportunities curated by Live Free in support of criminal justice reform at the local level, with fans getting the chance to win free concert tickets by participating in live trainings in select cities.

While encouraging Beliebers to follow impactful organizations on social media, volunteer and donate, through the Generosity Foundation, Bieber will also provide information each night on transforming criminal justice with help from the REFORM Alliance and fighting climate change via the National Resources Defense Council. According to the release, the more actions a fan completes, the more they increase their chances of wining tickets.

“Justin’s goal by the end of the Justice World Tour is to inspire millions of individual actions, help connect his fans to important causes, and provide participating groups with a new foundation of supporters, all while registering voters and raising awareness and funds for critical local and national justice efforts,” according to the statement.

The singer has also teamed up with Propeller to provide more incentive to take action, with the social action company offering fans the chance on every night of the tour to win a VIP ticket upgrade to watch the show from “one of the best spots in the house.” Global fans will also be able to enter a chance to win a trip to Paris to meet Justin during his March 6 Accor Arena gig in 2023.

Justin Bieber Announces Massive 98-Date World Tour

The Justice Tour stretches all the way into 2023.

Justin Bieber is about to set sail. Next year, the “Peaches” singer will embark on a worldwide tour to promote his latest album, Justice. Following a two-year delay due to COVID-19, Bieber has finally secured the dates for his next concert event.

The Justice World Tour will begin on February 18th, 2022 and commence on March 25th, 2023. Currently the singer has 98 shows scheduled in 20 different countries, and he is bringing some friends along for the ride. Yesterday Bieber announced that Jaden Smith, Eddie Benjamin, Harry Hudson, and Mateo Arias are all joining the tour periodically. From the looks of things, the artists will take turns opening the show before his set begins.

Bieber's upcoming tour is the first time he’s performed globally in five years. The singer originally planned a North-American concert for his 2020 album Changes, but that was cancelled due to pandemic-restrictions. Since then, he’s teased the idea of returning to the stage but only recently made it official.

Though the set-list hasn’t been released, it appears the Justice World Tour will primarily focus on his new music. The corresponding album, Justice, was released in March of 2021 to fans' delight and produced three hit singles — “Holy” (featuring Chance The Rapper), “Peaches” (featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon), and Lonely (with Benny Blanco) — that were all wildly popular.

According to Bieber, his upcoming tour has been in the works for quite some time. In a press statement he said, “we’ve been working hard to create the best show we’ve ever done, and we can’t wait to share it with fans around the world. I’ll see you soon.”

Tickets are currently available to purchase on Biebers website , along with Ticketmaster , and StubHub . Keep reading for the full tour schedule, and learn when Justice will hit a venue near you.

Justin Bieber canceled the remainder of his U.S. Justice Tour shows, originally scheduled for June and July, following his Ramsay Hunt syndrome diagnosis that left half of his face paralyzed. The tour had also included an appearance at the Summerfest music festival in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at the end of June.

"Justin continues to receive the best medical care possible, is upbeat about his recovery, and is looking forward to getting back out on the road and performing for his fans overseas later this summer," an AEG tour promoter statement read. Bieber is set to kick off the international leg of his tour in Italy on July 31, 2022.

According to the Mayo Clinic, Ramsay Hunt syndrome "occurs when a shingles outbreak affects the facial nerve near one of your ears. In addition to the painful shingles rash, Ramsay Hunt syndrome can cause facial paralysis and hearing loss in the affected ear."

Last Friday, Justin posted an update to Instagram. "By this point in my life I realize storms come and go. Jesus continues to remind me that he is with me in the midst of the storm," he wrote. "It's not about the storm. It's that we are NEVER ALONE AND HE UNDERSTANDS. 😭😭😭😭"

A source also told ET that Haley Bieber, Justin's wife, has been his biggest supporter through the medical crisis. "Hailey has been at Justin's side day in and day out, as always," the source said. "He is definitely leaning on her as his number one supporter and feels very comforted by her. He feels like with her support, he can conquer this and get back to his normal self, everyday life, work, touring and being healthy and happy. Hailey is certainly helping Justin stay positive and confident and they have high hopes for getting his health back on track."

Justin Bieber Announces Rescheduled 2021 Tour Dates

By Claire Shaffer

Claire Shaffer

Justin Bieber has announced a rescheduled 2021 World Tour after his original Changes Tour shows this summer were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The new stadium and arena tour will kick off June 2nd, 2021, at San Diego’s Pechanga Arena, and run through August 15th, with a final show in Sacramento, California. Some of the dates are rescheduled from the original 45-date arena tour, while others are new shows added for 2021.

“I can’t wait to get out there and connect with my fans on this tour,” Bieber said in a statement. “We’ve been through so much this year. More than ever, we’ve come to understand how much we need each other, and how meaningful these moments can really be.”

The press release referred to the new tour as Justin Bieber World Tour, and on Twitter, Bieber manager Scooter Braun implied that a new album may be in the works:

New tour.. maybe a new album @justinbieber ?? 🧐🙂 — Scooter Braun (@scooterbraun) July 23, 2020

Tickets for the new shows will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, August 6th. Tickets for rescheduled shows will be honored at the new dates. All previous ticket holders will receive an email from their ticket provider with event updates and options if they cannot make the 2021 date.

No openers for the new dates have been announced, but Bieber was originally scheduled to tour with Kehlani and Jaden Smith. In the meantime, he’s spent quarantine producing a Facebook Live show with his wife Hailey Bieber.

Who Is Justin Bieber?

Bieber went on to become the first solo artist to have four singles enter the Top 40 before the release of a debut album. His 2009 album, My World , went platinum in several countries. He later experienced significant media exposure from offensive activity. Nonetheless, the singer made his comeback in 2015 with his first number one song, "What Do You Mean?" His 2017 collaboration with Luis Fonsi , “Despacito,” broke the all-time record for most consecutive weeks at the number one spot on the Top 100. Bieber broke another record in early 2020 when the success of Changes made him the youngest artist to have seven albums reach the top spot on the Billboard Hot 200.

According to Wealthy Gorilla , Justin Bieber’s net worth is $285 million as of 2019, thanks to his music sales, merchandise, product endorsements, touring and other business ventures.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin

After Bieber and model Hailey Baldwin were frequently spotted together during the summer of 2018, TMZ reported that the two had gotten engaged during a dinner in the Bahamas on July 7. The lovebirds had previously dated before splitting in 2016, even enduring a "long period of time when we weren't friends," according to Bieber, before rekindling their friendship and then their romance.

Bieber and Baldwin reportedly obtained a marriage license at a New York City courthouse on September 13, 2018, just two months after getting engaged. According to TMZ, Bieber was overheard saying, “I can’t wait to marry you, baby." Later that year he confirmed he was a married man.

On September 30, 2019, the couple held a second, larger marriage ceremony at the Montage Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez

Teen idol Justin Bieber broke the hearts of many of his young female fans in 2010 when he started dating television actress and singer Selena Gomez . It wasn't easy for Gomez to be Bieber's girlfriend, as she was accosted by some of his devoted followers. There were even death threats posted against her on Twitter after the pair was photographed kissing while on a 2011 vacation. The couple ended their relationship in November 2012, though they remained in touch on and off. In November 2017, Bieber and Gomez were spotted together publicly several times, stoking rumors that they had gotten back together.

Gomez's chart-topping ballad "Lose You to Love Me," released in fall 2019, was speculated to be about her relationship with Bieber.

Justin Bieber’s Albums and Songs

Bieber’s debut album, My World , hit stores in November 2009, selling more than 137,000 copies within a week. In 2010, Bieber released My World 2.0 , which offered his growing fan base 10 new songs. Never Say Never was released in 2011, with a holiday album, Under the Mistletoe , coming out the same year. In 2012, the album Believe sold 374,000 copies in its first week, before the disappointment of the following year's Journals , a downbeat album without a hit single.

Bieber made a big comeback in 2015 with Purpose , which became his fifth million-selling record in the U.S. by the end of the year . Following the release of Changes in February 2020, the 25-year-old became the youngest artist to have seven albums reach the top spot on the Billboard Hot 200, breaking the record once held by a 26-year-old Elvis Presley .

Some of Bieber’s hit songs include:

Bieber's first single, "One Time," went certified platinum in his native Canada shortly after its release in May 2009.

Bieber broke into the Billboard Top 10 in early 2010 with "Baby," which also featured rapper Ludacris .

“All I Want for Christmas Is”

In 2011, Bieber released an album featuring his own take on such holiday classics as "All I Want For Christmas Is," his duet with Mariah Carey .

“Boyfriend”

Bieber had another hit single in April 2012 with "Boyfriend," which appeared on his 2012 album Believe .

"Beauty and a Beat"

In October 2012, amid controversy over his offensive behavior, Bieber released another Top 10 hit with this party anthem featuring Nicki Minaj .

“Where Are Ü Now”

Bieber nailed a summer Top 10 hit with the Diplo and Skrillex collaboration "Where Are Ü Now" in 2015, helmed by R&B songwriter Poo Bear. In 2016, Bieber landed his first Grammy, winning for "Where Are Ü Now" in the category of Best Dance Recording.

“What Do You Mean?”

In October 2015, Bieber landed his first No. 1 single with "What Do You Mean?," also produced with Poo Bear.

“Despacito”

In January 2017, Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Luis Fonsi released the hit “Despacito” on YouTube; the video soon became the most-watched video of all time on YouTube. A few months later, after hearing the song in a nightclub in Colombia, Justin Bieber asked Fonsi to collaborate on a remix. Their song went on to hit the number one spot on the Hot 100; after 16 consecutive weeks in the top spot, it broke the all-time record as the longest-standing chart-topping song in August 2017.

"I Don't Care"

Thanks in part to a surreal video, Bieber enjoyed more success with this spring 2019 collaboration with Ed Sheeran , a breezy track which went to No. 1 in several countries and topped out at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

When and Where Was He Born?

Justin Bieber was born on March 1, 1994, in the small town of Stratford, Ontario, Canada.

Justin Bieber has said he’s 5-foot-9-inches tall. However based on photographs of the star next to other celebrities, there has been speculation that he measures in at 5-foot-7-inches.

Justin Bieber’s Dad and Mom

Justin Bieber was raised by a single mom. His dad, Jeremy Bieber, left to start a family with another woman. According to some media reports, Justin and his father weren’t close growing up; his dad has been at times described as being a “deadbeat” who only resurfaced after Justin achieved YouTube fame. Jeremy reportedly considered becoming a rapper himself and has struggled with addiction problems. It was also reported that Justin had been partying with his dad just before his January 2014 arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

Despite their allegedly complicated relationship, Justin has maintained that he and his dad are close. In 2010, 16-year-old Justin told Seventeen magazine: “I have a great relationship with my dad. When I was younger, he taught me how to play some songs on the guitar, like ‘Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door’ by Bob Dylan .” Justin’s first tattoo, a seagull that he got in 2010, matches one his father has.

In February 2016, Justin told GQ magazine, “I’m a lot closer to my dad than I am to my mum.” Two months later, Justin attended a party to celebrate his dad’s engagement to girlfriend Chelsey Rebelow. When Jeremy became a father again in August 2018, Justin welcomed little sister Bay to the family.

YouTube & Rise to Fame

Bieber always had an interest in music. His mother gave him a drum kit for his second birthday and, as he tells it, he was "basically banging on everything I could get my hands on." But it was an obscure talent contest in his hometown, in which the 12-year-old Bieber finished second that put him on the road to superstardom. As a way to share his singing with family, Justin and his mom began posting clips of Bieber performing covers of Stevie Wonder , Michael Jackson and Ne-Yo on YouTube.

Within months, Justin was an Internet sensation, with a large following of fans and an eager manager arranging for the teenager to fly to Atlanta to consider a record deal. There, Bieber had a chance meeting with Usher, who eventually signed the young singer to a contract.

Calvin Klein Ad

In the spring of 2015, Justin Bieber was featured in a prominent Calvin Klein ad with Dutch model Lara Stone. The shots, which show a grown-up Bieber stripped down to his underwear, were a fan favorite.

A year later, Bieber was featured in another Calvin Klein ad campaign, this time with model and reality star Kendall Jenner .

'Never Say Never' Movie

In 2011, Bieber took to the big screen in the concert documentary Never Say Never . His fans crowded movie theaters to catch him in action on stage and get a glimpse of his life behind the scenes. The movie, which eventually earned more than $73 million at the box office, also had guest appearances by Kanye West , Miley Cyrus and Bieber's musical mentor Usher.

Courting Controversy

While still only in his teens, Bieber survived his first public scandal. A woman filed suit against Bieber in 2011, claiming that he was the father of her child. But a DNA test proved that the young pop star was not the father and the woman dropped her lawsuit. Bieber sang about the scandal in the song "Maria."

That was only the beginning of a string of scandals, bad behavior and unfavorable press for the young pop artist. In March 2013, Bieber's neighbor accused the singer of spitting on him, in addition to making threatening comments. Two months later, denizens of Bieber's neighborhood in Calabasas, California, complained that he was driving too fast in a residential area.

On April 15, 2013, Bieber visited a museum in Amsterdam that paid tribute to Anne Frank . Upon writing that the young Holocaust victim "would have been a Belieber," he faced more backlash from the public. On July 9, 2013, his image was scrutinized once again after he was recorded urinating in a janitor's bucket and yelling "F--- Bill Clinton ," holding a photo of the former president. Although he later apologized, his previously squeaky clean image began to tarnish even more.

On January 14, 2014, Bieber's home in California was searched after he was accused of egging a neighbor's house. Nine days later, Bieber was arrested for suspicion of drag racing and driving under the influence. After a Breathalyzer test showed that Bieber wasn't sober, he was taken into custody where he stayed until he posted bail, which was set at $2,500. The charges were eventually reduced to resisting arrest.

Health Battles

As he matured into his 20s, Bieber seemed intent on cleaning up his act and largely managed to avoid embarrassing incidents. However, the pop star still drew attention for his personal issues, particularly when it was reported in February 2019 that he was being treated for depression.

Bieber confirmed his situation in March, posting a photo to Instagram of himself praying with Kanye West, with the caption: "Just wanted to keep you guys updated a little bit hopefully what I’m going through will resonate with you guys. Been struggling a lot. Just feeling super disconnected and weird.. I always bounce back so I’m not worried just wanted to reach out and ask for your guys to pray for me. God is faithful and ur prayers really work thanks .. the most human season I’ve ever been in facing my stuff head on.."

In a January 2020 Instagram post, Bieber revealed that he had recently battled a case of mononucleosis and been diagnosed with Lyme disease.

Docuseries: 'Justin Bieber: Seasons'

In late January 2020, the artist debuted his 10-part YouTube docuseries, Justin Bieber: Seasons . The first episode, titled "Leaving the Spotlight," focused on his retreat from the public eye after cancelling the final weeks of a tour in 2017 and his journey back to recording again, with later episodes delving into his marriage and battles with depression.

Justin bieber enjoys hawaii getaway with hailey after crying selfies, justin bieber looking happy w/ hailey in hawaii ... after crying selfie pics.

Justin Bieber found comfort in his wife Hailey Bieber as they went on a romantic vacay in Hawaii this week ... mere days after concerning his fans with pics that showed him crying.

The married couple were filmed and photographed out in Kauai a couple days ago by some eagle-eyed fans -- and they captured JB and HB sitting at a table and talking among themselves in private. More importantly, it looks like Justin here has a big smile on.

Check it out ... Justin and Hailey appear happy as can be as they enjoy a beverage at a local outdoor bar. They lean in close while peeping at something on Justin's cell phone.

Eventually, a couple fans approach them ... and they engage with them. The ladies who walked up to them show off their Rhode Skin phone case -- which is merch for Hailey's beauty company, and Hailey seemed to appreciate the fact they supported her brand.

Justin and Hailey were later spotted leaving the scenic spot together ... no drama in sight.

Frankly, here's been quite a bit of speculation about Justin and Hailey's marriage in recent months -- with many wondering if trouble's afoot. In February, Hailey's dad Stephen Baldwin sparked some panic when he asked the public to pray for his daughter and son-in-law.

In April, Justin again had fans clamoring for answers when he uploaded 2 selfies of himself apparently shedding a tear -- which had no explanation attached. Hailey tried to downplay it over the weekend, oddly calling JB a "pretty crier" in the comments of the OG post.

Now, however, they appear to be telegraphing a new message ... no trouble in paradise.

Whatever is going on with them these days -- at least they have each other ... and at least they're getting a little R&R. Also ... it's pretty clear people will always fan out around them.

Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny Enjoy Intimate Date Night in Puerto Rico

Sources confirmed the model and singer got back together at the end of May

Jacopo M. Raule/Getty

Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny are getting their date night on, just weeks after sources confirmed their reconciliation .

In a new photo and video obtained by TMZ , the model, 28, and singer, 30, were seen in his native Puerto Rico enjoying a date night at Yoko Japanese Restaurant.

Jenner was captured wearing a low back red top with her hair up as she leaned in toward her Grammy-winning boyfriend, sporting a baseball cap and hoodie.

In the short recording, Jenner could be seen listening intently as Bad Bunny talked, seemingly deep in conversation.

Kevork Djansezian/Getty

In early May, the two sparked rumors that they were reconciling when the two attended a Met Gala afterparty together . A witness told PEOPLE they were “having the best time” with one another and “whispering in each other’s ears.”

On May 20, The Kardashians star attended Bad Bunny’s concert in Orlando and was reportedly dancing to his music from a private section. Then, 10 days later, sources confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple were officially back together.

"It's going well and they're prioritizing spending time together as they figure it out," a source said at the time. "There wasn't ever any drama in their breakup and they missed each other."

Another insider told PEOPLE Jenner and Bad Bunny initially took time away from the relationship because they were "not on the same page in life."

"It's like they needed the break to miss each other enough to figure things out," they explained. "They always had this crazy attraction to each other. Things are great again."

The duo sparked dating rumors the first time around in February 2023 when they were out for dinner with Hailey and Justin Bieber in Los Angeles. At that point, Bad Bunny had only recently moved to L.A. and was getting to know Jenner, a source told PEOPLE.

In the months following, the two were seen together at basketball games, Coachella , a Met afterparty and out shopping. In July, an insider said the relationship was getting “super serious.”

“They definitely seem in love,” the source said.

The romance was kept private throughout their relationship until they called it quits in December 2023. In his September 2023 cover interview with Vanity Fair , the rapper avoided questions about his relationship with Jenner.

He said that he did not want to "clarify anything" when it comes to his personal life because he has "no commitment to clarify anything to anyone."

Things to do | san diego county fair grandstand concert picks cover an array of styles, choices range from smokey robinson and whiskey myers to tlc and ludacris. san diego’s euphoria brass band will perform at least 11 times..

Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, left, and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas of TLC perform at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, Monday, April 1, 2024, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

Euphoria, formed in 2011, salutes the propulsive, dance-happy traditions of New Orleans street marching bands. Salutes of another type dominate this year’s musical fare at the fair, where no fewer than 16 tribute acts are booked. They will play the music of everyone from Tina Turner, Elton John, Gloria Estefan and the Spice Girls to Elvis Presley, Whitney Houston, The Police and Guns N’ Roses.

But the biggest guns — star-wise — will be appearing as part of the fair’s Toyota Summer Concert Series on the Corona Grandstand Stage.

Here, in chronological order, is a look at four upcoming grandstand artists. Performances are at 7:30 p.m.

Speaking of tributes, expect some of the biggest applause of the night to come when TLC’s Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas pay homage to the late TLC rapper and co-founder Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. With four Grammy wins and four chart-topping hits to its credit — including 1999’s “No Scrubs” and 1994’s “Waterfalls” and “Creep” — this veteran Atlanta R&B group has some crowd-pleasing favorites ready to throw down. June 14.

Whiskey Myers

Depending on the song at hand, this 18-year-old Texas band can evoke the music of everyone from Lynyrd Skynrd and Led Zeppelin to Neil Young and the Rolling Stones, by way of Waylon Jennings and ZZ Top. The six-man group’s forte is Southern-rock. Its music — while rarely as distinctive as that of the artists who inspired it — is well-crafted and performed with a winning combination of fire and polish. June 19.

Smokey Robinson

This Motown music legend has been touring steadily since bouncing back from a 2021 bout with COVID that saw him hospitalized for nearly two weeks. Robinson spent more than a month regaining his singing voice before returning to the stage.

Now, at 84, one of the greatest singer-songwriters of his generation is armed with a new album, last year’s “Gasms,” and has a Spanish-language record in the works.

But no matter how sound his latest material may be, Robinson knows his audiences want to hear his improbably rich catalog of songs. He is savvy enough to include nearly a dozen of them — including “I Second That Emotion,” “Tracks of My Tears” and “Get Ready” — at each of his concerts. June 26.

Usher, Missy Elliott, Justin Bieber and Black Eyed Peas’ alum Fergie won’t be performing with “The Fast and the Furious” film star and three-time Grammy Award-winner Christopher “Ludacris” Evans. But you can count on this veteran Dirty South rapper to drops verses from their hit songs on which he guested, including Elliott’s “One Minute Man,” Bieber’s “Baby” and Usher’s “Yeah!”

Where his early releases were misogynistic enough to earn condemnation from President Obama and Oprah Winfrey, Luda — as many fans call him — is now a 46-year-old father of four. His recent credits include a Disney+ holiday comedy, “Dashing Through the Snow,” and an animated Netflix coming-of age musical comedy series, “Karma’s World.” His rapid-fire raps can still excite his concert audiences. June 28.

Even Glendale emerged as a media darling, thanks to a symbolic rebrand as Swift City in the singer’s honor, a storyline played out on digital billboards along freeways and in Glendale's Westgate Entertainment District, where State Farm Stadium is located, welcoming fans to Swift City (where Swift launched the Reputation Tour  in that same stadium five years earlier).

For what it's worth,  we would've gone with Glendale (Taylor's Version) .

Taylor Swift Eras Tour: 5 magic moments at State Farm Stadium that Arizonans saw first

The Eras Tour is the highest-grossing tour of all time

The Eras Tour has become the highest-grossing tour of all time and the  first tour in history to generate more than $1 billion  in revenue.

There’s a concert film, naturally. Released in theaters worldwide on Oct. 13, 2023, "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" quickly overtook a Justin Bieber movie to become the  highest-grossing concert film in history .

Following The Eras Tour launch, Swift immediately shot to  No. 1 on Pollstar's Artist Power Index chart , ending 2023 as  Time magazine’s perfectly obvious choice for Person of the Year .

"Swift’s accomplishments as an artist — culturally, critically and commercially — are so legion that to recount them seems almost beside the point," Time wrote.

Then, after running down a laundry list of those accomplishments while placing her alongside Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson and Madonna as a pop star, Time explained why she deserved the honor this year more than any other year.

"As a celebrity — who by dint of being a woman is scrutinized for everything from whom she dates to what she wears — she has long commanded constant attention and knows how to use it," Time wrote.

“But this year, something shifted. To discuss her movements felt like discussing politics or the weather — a language spoken so widely it needed no context. She became the main character of the world."

By that point,  USA TODAY had hired its own Taylor Swift reporter  and Swift had grabbed another first —  first billionaire in history with music as the main source of income .

Swift added a 'Tortured Poets Department' era to The Eras Tour

She added an era (and new costumes) to the Eras Tour in Paris, working songs from "The Tortured Poets Department," a new album she somehow found time to record in the midst of the tour, into the setlist on opening night of another European leg in May 2024, removing "The Archer," "Long Live," "The 1," "The Last Great American Dynasty," "'Tis the Damn Season" and "Tolerate It" to make room.

What is a fortnight? Taylor Swift's 'The Tortured Poets Department' vocabulary explained

Swift was feeling reflective in Liverpool as she talked about the record-breaking tour, which did 66 shows in 2023 and will hit 86 shows this year by the time it concludes with three shows in Vancouver, British Columbia.

"I think this tour has really become my entire life," she said.

"It's taken over everything. Like, I think I once had hobbies. But I don't know what they were anymore. 'Cause all I do when I'm not on stage is sit at home and try to think of clever acoustic song mashups and think about what you might want to hear. When I'm not on the stage, I'm dreaming about being back on the stage with you guys."

Then she thanked the fans for all they've done to make the tour a worldwide phenomenon.

"You have done so much to be with us, right?" she said.

"You've made plans so far in advance. You planned what you were going to wear. You memorized lyrics. You got yourselves here. You figured out parking. You figured out transportation, and I want to spend my hundredth show just thinking about that and living in this moment with you and being here with you.

"And just know that I appreciate every single ounce of effort that you've put into being with us when this show reaches triple digits in shows. So thank you!"
