Otros Aires fusioniert seit über 12 Jahren äußerst erfolgreich Elektrotango mit Hip Hop, Jazz, Latin, Rock und Funk. Bandgründer und Architekt Miguel die Genova stellte zusammen mit Pianist Diego Ramos das Album „Perfect Tango“ im MUZclub zum ersten Mal in Nürnberg vor.

Nach über verkauften 250.000 CDs, 3 Studio Alben, 1 Live Album, einer DVD und 30 Tourneen durch Europa, Nord- und Südamerika ist die Band Otros Aires zurück mit ihrem fünften Studioalbum „Perfect Tango“. Otros Aires zählt zu den wichtigsten aktuellen Elektrotango-Gruppen, die es auch im ihrem vierten Album wieder schaffen, dem Tango neue Klassiker hinzuzufügen.

Anhand des Albentitels mag man meinen, die 2003 gegründete Electro-Tango-Band Otros Aires habe den Weg zum perfekten Tango gefunden. Doch ist der Titel vielmehr als selbstbewusste, ironische Selbstbeschreibung gemeint und lässt sich musikalisch als das poppigste Album beschreiben, das die Gruppe bisher veröffentlicht hat. Es entstand infolge einer Einladung Miguel Di Genovas – Bandgründer des Projekts und ehemaliger Architekt – zu einem Songwriter-Treffen im Jahr 2013, initiiert vom legendären Produzenten Miles Copeland, der bereits The Police und Sting managte. Bei dem Treffen ebenfalls anwesend waren namhafte Musiker, Künstler und Produzenten aus Electro, Pop und dem Dancebereich. Einige Songs entstanden in Zusammenarbeit mit den dort anwesenden Künstler, andere schrieb Miguel Di Genova, außerdem Sänger und Gitarrist, allein.

Er schöpfte für seine Musik und seine Texte aus vielen Inspirationsquellen. Zum einen waren da seine Reisen. Sie forderten ihn immer wieder aufs Neue heraus und veränderten stets seine Sicht aufs Leben. Diese Reiseerfahrungen ließ er in seine Musik einfließen. Zum anderen beeinflusste ihn die Literatur. So fußt das Lied „Digital Ego“, auf dem gleichnamige Buch von Jacob van Kokswijk. Die Idee für das Lied „Perro Viejo“ wiederum entstand beim Hören des Tango Traditionals „Loca“.

Es ist Miguel Di Genovas musikalischer Offenheit und Kreativität zu verdanken, dass „Perfect Tango“ Einflüsse verschiedenster Genres perfekt verbindet. „Perfect Tango“ zeichnet sich einerseits durch Vielseitigkeit, eingängige Popstrukturen und Sangbarkeit aus. Zum anderen durch die spannende Mischung moderner Genre-Sounds, wie Hip Hop Leads oder Electro-Samples mit traditionellen Genres, wie Blues oder Tango. „Perfect Tango“ ist ein hippes, rundum gelungenes modernes Tango-Album, das einlädt zum Schnipsen, Kopfnicken oder Tango tanzen!
