panickers travel agra tour

We had a wonderful trip to Delhi, Agra and Jaipur on 20th to 24th October 2023. The tour was arranged by Ayub and Ayub Travels through Panickers Travels. It was a well arranged tour and we could cover almost all places within the available time.

We express our sincere thanks to M/s Ayub and Ayub Travels and Panickers Travels to make our trip more enjoyable and memorable.

in this connection we would like to comment especially to our driver Mr.Rajesh Pawar who was very helpful and nice. He was not only a driver but also a good Guide to us. He used to give short narrations about the places covered while travelling. He has a helping mentality and his behaviour was very nice. He tried his maximum to cover almost all places .We convey our wholehearted thanks to Mr.Rajesh Pawar for his support and care extend to us.

Paniker’s Travel is an old group which has a good reputation. We did Char Dham with them from Sep 9th to 10th, 2022. I will start with all the positives of this trip. The trip covered as many places as possible in the 10 days. Our driver Dharam singh was excellent. He was one of the best drivers I have ever seen. Always cool and composed and making us feel safe. The catering team did their best and ensured packed breakfast and lunch on days when we left early. Taste of the food is nothing to write home about but was hygienic and none of the 40 passengers had any stomach issues.

What was bad?

The tour manager was the worst I have ever seen. There was one tour manager for 2 buses carrying 40 members. There was no explanation about the places we visited. He did not maintain any timing with members as result of which members who kept to the scheduled time were always kept waiting. He had no concern for senior citizens and often gave them rooms on higher floors or difficult to reach basements while the younger lot got ground floor rooms. Infact we even wondered if his palms were greased to get better rooms.

None of the places we stopped for eating had enough chairs/tables to sit and eat. It was like a musical chair and was very inconvenient.

The rooms especially in Barkot and Badrinath were terrible. We got a dumpyard in Badrinath that had rats running around. It was a basement room with a very difficult approach. The sheets in most rooms are never changed and the bathrooms have faulty plumbing.

Lunch was rarely served on time and dinners were often served past 10.30pm and even at 11.15 pm at times. This could have been avoided. They should consider tie ups with local hotels to ensure dinner is served at reasonable time considering our stay stared at 5am or earlier on 8/10 days.

Very poor device given by panikkar travels.no responsibility.the drivers and hotel (hotel team)they allotting are also very poor quality in behaviour. They are very rude etc.don't prefer this travel .??my genuine review.

YOUR RATING ON

Sir, I am happy to inform you that I used your services several times.all are gave best services including your office staff, driver, booking department.I told about this traveler to my friends and relatives also .thanks for your team members and supportive staff.

thanks for your services .

The guide r useless and driver doesn't no the root, worst experience ever, and the water which was given by them was very salty.

Hi Viewers,

Please read in full.

We had been to Delhi, Shimla, Manali, Chandigarh from Chennai. From Chennai to Delhi we took flight by own.

From Delhi to Delhi covering Shimla, Manali, Chandigarh, we had booked Tempo traveler and Accommodation thru' Panicker's travels, all the arrangements were good and perfect, Except Driver's behavior.

We were total 12, we booked separate van since there were elders and infants in our group.

Few things I will list down what we experienced,

We asked him(driver) to switch off the audio system since some of us were going to sleep. In a rough manner he switched off and threw the pendrive outside

when he was going to have breakfast, we waited in van since we already had ours. By that time, we asked him to keep the A/C on(it was very hot outside), again in a very rude manner, he got on to the vehicle and rude fast in a scary way w/o having his b'fast. we insisted him to stop, have his b'fast but he didn't listen to us.

since we are tamil speaking people, we communicated with him in English, since we are not fluent is Hindi. Eventhough he knows English he didn't communicate with that.

we used his mobile charger. our kids while playing broke his charger. Once again in a harsh manner he threw the charger outside eventhough we paid him Rs.500 for the charger.

These drivers will stop the vehicle only in the restaurants, shops, tourist places(for paragliding, river rafting) only where they get COMMISSION. We think one of the reason why the driver behaved in non-friendly manner is because we choosed the places where we want.

All these things totally ruined our trip.

We did complain to the Travel office, no Action was taken.

we choosed the Panicker's travel for their name and performances, but their driver's have worst behavior. pls consider this review before travelling thru' this travels.

My review on Panicker Travels Delhi is as follows:

On our recent trip to Delhi, we stayed near Karol Bagh, being the Tamil Dominant area, being the area where we will get our food, being the area people speak Tamil language even the shop keepers.

On the first day of our visit we had been to local sight seeing organized by the Hotel people of which we were staying and had a very rigorous experience.  The person came on the bus was talking only Hindi and when they told him to explain in English he spoke broken English mingled with Hindi in between.

So we have decided to go in for a good tour operate to cover our other areas.  After the local sight seeing on that day we were just walking on the road of Karol Bagh and found PANICKER TRAVELS board and just peeped in.  Here are our wonderful experience.

We were welcomed by the reception people in Tamil and we were delighted.

We told them about our plans of visiting nearby areas and immediately they showed us their printed itinerary of daily tour operations which narrated in detail about the trip and found the cost also very economical which included food also.

We planned our first trip to Hardwar and Rishikesh and booked.  We were told to come to their office around 9.30 since our hotel also nearby.

On arrival we were asked embark on a luxury bus where we were greeted with a bottle of water.  Had a nice sleep and reached Haridwar.   We had a tremendous trip in Hardwar and Rishkesh.

On seeing their courtesy and expertise we decided to have a trip to Agra and subsequently went to Agra also.

Their services are very good and I recommend for those who want to roam around

I am sharing my personal experience for this(Jaipur, Agra & Mathura) trip. In this trip we enjoyed lot and panilker service's are also best . Basically the Valvo Bus and hotel are best. negative part is we miss the "Taj mahal " because on that day 5 lakh peoples are visit to Taj and long queue. So we will see from outside and can't reach to near. It's a hurry burry trip but its ok. Tour Guides are best especially Jaipur & fatehpur sikri guide.

Panicker's Travels is no longer what it used to be. At least, this has been my personal experience. I booked a Delhi to Haridwar-Rishikesh tour through this tour operator. I was traveling with my mother, who is a senior citizen, and since both H-R are nearby Delhi, I opted for a same-day package.

Firstly, the telephonic response from the travel team was far from the definition of courteous. The lady at the help-desk sounded like she was suffering from chronic pain and you had to pry each word out of her mouth. The travel started 20 mins late, and we soon realised that we were stuck in the long-weekend-rush with the world's most well-behaved driver. Our guy drove dead slow on open roads, let alone congested lanes. And he was sure to give way to every truck, van and cycle along the way. I admit there was a lot of congestion, but nothing that an efficient driver could not have managed. But rest assured, he was not the worst part of the trip. That cake goes to the guide.

The guide single-handedly brought down the entire spirit of the trip through his sheer inefficiency and adamancy. He had no back-up plan, and when he finally realised we were delayed by well over 2 hours, he started to panic and began changing plans on the fly. He started off by canceling the morning dip in the Haridwar Ganges, instead opting for a dip at Rishikesh. So he checked us into a deserted motel last-minute for our morning ablutions. We had one hour to get going, just six rooms and 4 people per room. His logic was that simply everybody would opt in for a dip in the Ganges, and that would count as our morning BATH. He assured us that there would be changing rooms at Rishikesh - so why waste time here when we could simply eat/dress up there?

So we left the motel in a rush after a quick brush and toilet. No morning tea or breakfast. It was already well past 9 a.m. by the time we reached Rishikesh. All along the way, guide promised us that we'll have tempos and autos to drive us from the drop-off point to the river bank. However, once there, he announced the next change of plans. As per police restrictions(due to weekend rush), no tempos and autos are allowed at the drop point today, he explained. His solution was: so we'll just WALK to the river bank. It's after all quite a short walk at only HALF a kilometre.

And so we walked in the scorching sun, through the sand-and-pebble-ridden non-road. Once we reached the river bank(near Ram Jhula), I asked the guide where the changing rooms were, for my mother who was planning to take a dip in the holy river. There don't seem to be any changing rooms around here, said the guide, casually. He suggested that we should all just soak through and then sit out in the sun to dry. He wasn't kidding; that was his ACTUAL plan.

An unnecessary boat-ride followed, and finally at 11:00 a.m., he took our starving group to a jam-packed restaurant on the other side of the bank for breakfast. We had to wait another 10 minutes to even get a table. Afterwards, he merrily took advantage of the heat and the humidity to propose to our group that we go to a nearby emporium for some air-conditioning. You don't have to buy anything; at least there will be some relief from the AC, he said. Of course, it was a sales ploy.

After shopping, a long walk to Lakshman Jhula followed(which could have been easily avoided given the time constraint we were facing and the fact that we were already so close to Ram Jhula - which is the bigger bridge anyway). We opted out because my mother couldn't bear to walk any further. Thanks to the precious hours we lost in the Lakshman Jula visit; return boat ride; a rickshaw ride to the bus-parking(for which we paid Rs 250/-); and heavy congestion along the R-H route, it was 7 p.m. by when we we reached Haridwar.

Incidentally, amidst all the disorganised chaos, the guide FORGOT to collect the two of us from the boat dock(where he had asked us to wait), and we were left stranded in the scorching sun, with no idea where the rest of the group was. It took 2 panic-stricken phone calls to the Panicker's office, 2 panic-stricken calls to the driver and about 5 panic-stricken UNANSWERED calls to the guide, to finally have him arrive and pick us up from the dock.

There was no mention of lunch on the bus, and finally one of the passengers questioned the guide - it was 5:00 p.m. already and none of us had eaten. Another change of plans, he said. I'll buy you bananas along the way; let's all have bananas for lunch. Then followed a 5-minute lecture on how he himself was on a no-salt-fast that particular day; how salt and sugar are bad for health; and how we must all be willing to starve(this was implied) given that he himself had not eaten much that particular day. Anyway, the banana plan didn't work out. He must have done the math and figured out bananas would cost just as much as lunch. So next change of plans - he hopped off along the way and returned with some biscuits(Rs 5/- pack per person). Justification? He couldn't find any fruit stalls. We spotted at least three along the way.

I must pause here and point out that all along the R-H route, you can spot a trail of dhabas, multi-cuisine restaurants, street stalls and decent hotels. Many of them have good parking and restroom facilities as well.

By the time we reached Haridwar, the guide cancelled Manasa Devi visit as it was too late in the evening. I suggested we watch the Ganga aarti in that case. A long walk followed to the place of gathering. Guide didn't come along, and asked us to regroup at a "Vishnu bridge" near "Anand van parking lot" afterwards. Ask anyone for directions and they'll tell you, he said. It was quite dark post the aarti, and we spent another panic-striken hour walking around and asking questionable people for directions. The group itself was dispersed and people were just relying on their instincts to get back to the place of gathering. My mother couldn't keep pace with them, so we pretty much kept to ourselves. I did call the guide several times for directions. But he was really vague each time; and never bothered to call me back to check because - who has the 0.50p to spend on a phone call?)

Finally with the help of a pundit and a rickshaw person(a god-sent, truly), we spotted the bridge. The guide was there, wondering aloud why so many of us were facing problems spotting Vishnu bridge, as several people in our group were still missing by the time we reached. Once everybody arrived, our group was ready to take-off to the bus, and the general consensus was to stop at one of those highway restaurants for a nice, elaborate dinner.

Unfortunately, all those plans were thrown to the wind by the guide. He had mentally zeroed-in on a hotel on the other side of the bridge, and we absolutely had to follow through with his wish to eat there. He rubbished our suggestions to stop anywhere else for dinner. We had to walk nearly half a kilometer BACK and through some dingy alleys to the restaurant he suggested. Finally, at about 9:30 p.m. or so, we arrived at a beaten down and seemingly rat/roach-infested joint somewhere in the back-lanes of Haridwar.

Here, ladies and gentlemen who have had the patience to read through my long review, I must inform you that I totally lost my cool. My mom's knees were swollen and hurting from all the unnecessary walking(she is arthritic and a borderline diabetic), plus she had missed all her regular meals/mealtimes. We were repelled by the restaurant(it didn't have a restroom either), hungry, constipated and we had to pee badly. At this point, I dissed the guide and said I was really disappointed at his approach. His demeanour changed instantly, and he responded vehemently, emphasising that NOTHING was his fault and patronisingly told me that if everyone else was fine to eat here, he had indeed done well. It was either the company's fault or the driver's fault or the passengers' fault - but never his. He completely overlooked the fact that nearly everyone had protested coming to this restaurant, and they were going along with his ploy since it was late and they had had enough(by their own admission), and just wanted to get home.

After dinner(which the my mom and I skipped) and a heated argument, we were made to WALK all the way back to the bus parking. We reached Delhi at 3:00 a.m., over 5 hours delayed and fatigued.

I know this review is detailed, and perhaps too much so, but I wanted to make clear how cheap, calculating and conniving seemingly innocuous people(or operators) can turn out to be. And the devil, unfortunately, is always in the details. My lesson is to avoid low-cost bus tours, especially when traveling with senior citizens. I hope this review is useful in helping you decide your next tour plan with PANIC-ker's Travels. Thanks!

panickers travel agra tour

Please guys don't prefer this traveler if you are going to plan a tour . As according to my experince guys you will find that they will provide you very bad service and they behave with you very rudly and badly .They very much curious about the money you given to them .

They only used to provide you that much as according to fee they have taken, and as far as food is concerned they provide you very bad food very unhygienic food with a lot of bees moving arround and water is also not mineral water .

And driver was not well trained as I observed he was fresher .

My personal advise for you guys is please don't prefer this traveler service they are worst and untrustable . Your life will be on risk .And major issue is they will spoil the journey of your picnic.Even the tour guider was fresher he was not actually having a proper knowledge about that perticular place even I was knowing more better than him, he was feeling so nervous while explaining anything .

So, guys this is all my honest experience .

HOPE YOU FIND THIS USEFUL

Even for me also got a very bad experience from panikar travels. Now their services is very bad. I traveled in panikar travels in the month of may 2016 to agra, local sight seeing and to manali. In this specially the agra trip the bus, driver and the food they are provided is very bad and the driver saying he is the super driver but he don't know how to drive. The food they provide to us is very worst food and unhygienic because the food is bad, food was covered with Flys and rats were running below the table. In the office one Mr hakim and Mr praven their behavior is very bad and rude. They don't know how to speak to customers. Trust me if anyone planning a trip to north india don't travel with panikar travels and if anyone planning to travel with them there is no guarantee that you will return back home.

One of the worst experiences for my wife and Mother-in-Law on their Char-Dham Yatra.

While booking the tickets, the sales man spoke the world and bragged of their excellence and awards, claimed to be the best operator for the yatra. However, the 12 days turned out to be a nightmare. The vehicle seating was very uncomfortable, not enough legroom and small seats. Hotels were very cheap, untidy, unhygienic and no water in one place.

Food was being cooked at unhygienic places and same stale food served(3 cooks for up to 4 buses). Only one water bottle per day, no snacks / beverages, just 1 coffee/tea(colored warm water called Chai.) included for the day - but being skipped for most days. Added to this, when confronted with the operator, he claims "You people have come for a yatra and not  star holiday, so get on with what we give you or you can drop out." The cooks complained Panicker had paid them just 5000 for the trip and havent paid the balance yet to buy and cook., infact added more passengers/1 more bus.(Eg., 10, 000 is the rate for Char dham - 2 buses. They are trying to manage in 5000 for 4 busses). Finally, after returning to Delhi, we were given a feedback form. On giving negetive feedback, the operator looses his cool and claims he would not submit the feedback form, tear it and throw it away. However, the driver and helper were good and helpful. Cooks were caring did their best to manage, but expressed their helplessness.

Such is the experience and wonder what accolade they have received and from whom. Let the pictures do the talking now. Please see the attached images.

Trust me - avoid Panickers for a trip to this region .

panickers travel agra tour

In bangalore it is in the kalasipalyam bangalore . in this travel we have gone one day trip to mysore . they have nice bus and a good guide to us. starting from bangalore and reaching to mysore they have taken care such that we have enjoyed a lot . the food they gave in a hotel is very good . speed of bus is very normal . in mysore they showed palace, zoo and krs dam and chamundi hills.

The pick up and drop from point to point is very good they will not make urgent to go . for meals in night they were taken to a good hotel in which taste of food is good . they dropped us in bangalore 11pm in majestic circle . totally they are good travel plan makers and travel agencies giving the customers a good service

Enjoyed every bit of pilgrimage.  Well organized,  expert driver to drive a small bus in rough terrain, decent south indian food, basic accomodation and very helping assistant.  In these type of package, lot depends on your fellow travelers for easy coordination that meets everyone's expectations.  We had an excellent co-passengers from different states and friendship that we developed still continues.

This is my second experience with Panickers and both are very memorable.  First one was 14 days Vaishnodevi shrine in 2014.  Looking forward for another place in 2016.

On a tour with 14 pax(12 of the aged above 65) from Delhi to Haridwar, Kedarnath & Badrinath that left Delhi on Monday, 7th Sep 2015 night we had a nightmarish experience on our climbing to Kedarnath on Thursday, 10th Sep.

Prior to departure we were informed by Delhi office of Panickers Travels that helicopter service is available for Kedarnath trip and that would be arranged by the Guide who accompanied us.  The guide collected from us extra service charges   of Rs. 300 from each one of us previous day(9/9/15) for arranging the helicopter service from Guptkashi as there is reported to be a heavy rush.

But on the same night at about 8 PM he came rushing to our rooms that the entire service is cancelled due to proposed visit of some VIP to Kedarnath on 10th Sep and he returned the extra service charges collected.  Then we had to take our travel by Pony.

But to our surprise on 10th Sep we found the helicopter service was fully available on the date and also found that the guide belonging to Southern Travels also from Delhi could arrange the service for 16 of his pax just previous day evening(9th Sep).  Equally we also came to know that another service from Panickers travels who are on their way to Chardham trip could do on line booking for heli service. Our travel by Pony was as much painful as we had a feeling that we had come to the end of our lives. Few of us fell down from horses and got injured badly also.

None of 14 pax in our trip has been guided by Delhi office of the operator about the availability of on line booking for heli service.  The guide also took the trip lightly despite max of pax are 65 yrs old. We returned to Delhi on 13th night(by the Grace of Kedarnathji). Our complaint to Delhi office on 14th was received casually and it became a laughing subject to the staff present there. Guide did not bother about pax safety & he left us in the lurch under the mercy of pony & its trainer/driver.

Therefore, it is an appeal to all those who plan for Kedarnath trip please avoid Panickers Travels. - Krishnamurthy R

First of all I thank you Panciker Travels for arranging a good tour- Kurukshetra-Shimla-Manali-Kufri-Chandigarh. We enjoyed a lot with the tour guide Mr.Shekar was polite, helpful and very down to earth. Must visit 100 times with this package.

We didn't feel any disturbance in the tour, but accommodation in Shimla was very poor and uncomfortable. All throughout the tour was excellent. This was the best season to visit to Shimla and Kullu Manali. We have done paragliding in Solang Valley and rope slide in Kufri and played in snow at Rohtang Pass/Gulaba.

Thank you very very much Panicker travels.

Me and my wife recently visited Kerala through Panickers- Chennai office.

Their staff charted a wonderful 5 days itinerary covering Ernakulam / Munnar / Thekkady and one night in Houseboat.

Our driver Mr.Krishnakumar was a gem of a person. Even though I didn’t opt for any guide services in this tour Mr.Krishnakumar helped us in understanding specialties of each and every places. He truly is an asset to this company. Rooms provided was also nice. Nothing excellent but simple, neat and clean. no complaints there.

One small suggestion: Always keep a brochure in your vehicle.

Anandan. M.

Recently went to Srinagar with my family( 10th November to 15th November). it was basically a customized tour.Trip was great . Hotel was decent. Food was awesome.

My kids had a wonderful time.

I would like to point out couple of things to team Panickers. Kindly make sure that the customers cover all the sight seeing places. Also make sure the local guide in Srinagar aren't charging any extra money from customers(though we know its difficult to control the guides in Srinagar).

Thank you once again. I will surely recommend you to my friends and family.

I have recently booked 4 seats by their Tour No.14 to visit Vaishnodevi - Wagha Border. They have responded well for all my inquiries promptly and helpfully. Almost eight times I have contacted them through email and every time they have responded within two or three hours. The arrangements they have made for the tour was excellent and well executed.

Only area where I have found little deficiency - if it so - was giving some guidance and travel tips. Like arrangements of helicopter services at Vaishnodevi, clothing for that particular season etc.  But, of course, we could have got these information from other websites too.

Sankar Nottamkandath.

Has someone travelled by their Volvo coach to Agra or Jaipur or Shimla, recently? What has been your experience? Is it so bad as made out by many travellers? Or is it at least passable?

I have normal expectations from panickar.. Start on time.. safe driving.. modest delays in return.. clean bus.. decent hotels to stay etc..Is it too much to expect?

All help appreciated.

Panicker's are good. In fact many small agencies go to them for actual execution of tours.

Go ahead, they are really good one

Volvo buses of Panickar were very comfortable, they were punctual, stopped at excellent motels along the way for food, stay at good, clean hotels at Jaipur/Shimla and covered all the important sight seeing places.

My family enjoyed all the tours of Panickar. We also stayed at Panickar Guest house which was just 5 minutes walking distance from the starting point at karolbagh. Clean, good budget hotel at the heart of Karol Bagh .

Friends told us that tours of Southern Travels were also as good. But I thought I will share what I personally experienced (panickars) with those of you who plan to travel to Delhi.

Cavet: The entire bus was full of families from Kerala and Tamil Nadu. So almost all the stops for food were at places that served predominantly south indian food/Thali - high quality and reasonable though.

panickers travel agra tour

I should say that I admire Panicker Travels. They have understood Indian customers perfectly, and they provide a service-price-combination that suits their market segment to a T. No wonder they do well. I wish them luck and think Panicker is definitely something for all agents to learn from.

Agree on the rush schedule part but the overall price of the trip was not inexpensive - maybe relatively compared to other options available - Yes.

Their Golden Triangle tour (1 night/ 2 days) is Rs 2500 per person including hotel accommodation and transport by AC Volvo. Not a bad price, not dead cheap either.

But I need to say that too much of time was spent at the small industries shop which was recommended for buying souvenirs. Our place of attraction was the Taj Mahal and there was hardly any time to spend there. The queue to enter is always long and one has to spend at least an hour to enter the premises of the Taj . Too much of time was allowed for the souvenir shops. Many were unhappy about it. Taj Mahal is a real wonder and one would want to spend some time there to see it properly. That was quite disappointing.

The Guide should be instructed to avoid spending so much of time at the shops.

panickers travel agra tour

Almost a decade back I went on Southern Travels day trip to Agra with Mom and they wasted a lot of time at the souvenir shop in Agra. That really cheesed me off. While coming back to Delhi they hardly gave time at Mathura and body parts were not ready to move by the time we reached Delhi.

I must mention the Guide, who gave information about Agra like a tape-recorder in broken English in the moving bus. I can still visualize his irritating face.

But, as they say- You can't get everything in life. Rightly quoted by Deepa, they cater to a specific class and hardly give any reason to complain. I wish they could cut down time at the emporium.

I guess there are a plenty of other companies too offering such service, even cheaper.

panickers travel agra tour

My wife and I,Bhaskaran. P, Suparnam, mannuthy,Thrissur,Kerala, had participated in the tour No.14,Jammu-V.Devi-Srinagar-Amritsar-Wagah border-Kurukshetra, conducted by Panickers travels from 13th to 20th April 2013.The bitter experiences we had during the tour are detailed below .One Yadav from UP was our guide. He was called JP in short.

Date comments

14.04.13 Breakfast and Dinner was served in an unhygienic dining hall with full of flies in the hotel at khatra. This hotel should have been avoided. At least the dining hall could have been kept clean without flies.

15.04.13 The food prepared by the men engaged by the guide was not good and below expectation. Cheap items were served for lunch and Dinner. Lunch was served in the premises of a temple where there is no neatness and healthy atmosphere. Worst toilet facility was provided on the way to Srinagar. The Dinner was prepared and served only after 10.30 pm on that day. With the result my wife and I was forced to give up the dinner.

The hotel accommodated us in Srinagar is below standard. The bed sheets and blankets provided by them were not washed/cleaned after previous use. They could not provide even warm water in toilets. Only boiled water (having more than 100` C) was available in toilets. Due to non-availability of cool water for mixing with boiled water, we could not use toilet on the night.

16.04.13 At Gulmarg we were cheated by the guide. We were forced to give Rs.500/-each as ropeway charge to the guide instead of actual charge of Rs.400/- ( Rs 3400/-(34x100)was gone to the pocket of guide) Except giving entry ticket, the guide has not provided any guidance at Gulmarg. Actually he was not there up to 3 Pm. With the result we and co-travelers were confused. On the way back to Srinagar we were compelled for shopping in a carpet craft center for more than one and half hour. It was very clear that the guide had vested interest in the shopping.

17.04.13 Though the programme was sightseeing in Srinagar as per schedule, the guide tried to send us to Sankaracharya temple by taxi. But the majority rejected this. Here, the guide was acted as an agent of taxi drivers/owners. The guide was also very much interested in taking photograph in Kashmiri dress. Each photo was charged Rs.200/- When we enter the Botanical garden admission fee was collected by the Guide. What is the need of this?

In the Evening after seeing Shalimar garden We were compelled to wait more than one and half hours in the bus for return to lodge at Srinagar. This unnecessary waiting should have been avoided. The reason said by the guide for this was non-permission to entry of tourist buses in to Srinagar city by 9PM.On enquiry we knew that this information was absolutely wrong. It is understood that this was done with willful intention to avoid us from independent shopping in the city. Thus the Guide has acted as a commission agent for taxi, taking photos and shopping.

18.04.13 When we visit Pahalgam, we were cheated by horse riding. We were not only compelled to pay excess charge of Rs.550/- but also ride a very short distance without seeing anything more. This cheating was carried out with full support of the guide. The guide was an agent of horse men. Though there are other ways of travel instead of horse riding at Pahalgam, the guide has willfully hidden the same . The breakfast and lunch of this day was very bad.

19.04.13 After visiting Wagah border we were again forced for `shopping` instead of seeing Golden temple. With the result we were forced to wake up and departure at early morning at 3AM on 20.4.13 for seeing Golden temple.

• The guide was acted as a commission agent during the entire tour. He never acted as an helping tourist guide.

• Meals on tour served except on 19th and 20th April were not good and below expectation.

• Toilet facilities provided on the ways were worst. Women could not use these toilets and they experienced connected health problems

• Hotel accommodation at Khatra and Srinagar were below standard offered by you.

I wish I had seem your testimony before using this travels.

We also had a terrible experience with Panicker Travels, especially because of the driver they provided us for our personal trip to Rajasthan.

To begin with, the Travels tried to get us rooms in a hotel in Pushkar that just was not good as per the reviews found on trip advisor. I had to choose another one myself. But this is not as bad as the rest.

Its good to post about Panikars Travels. Definitely it will help to other tourists.

Yes, and maybe we should start a review page dedicated to panicked travels rather than just post in the forums?

Thanks for sharing your experiences, it will be helpful for other fellow travelers.

Tripadvisor staff removed this post because it did not meet Tripadvisor's forum guideline limiting each user to a single forums screen name.
