PTAA sets 29th Travel Tour Expo, 7th International Travel Trade Expo 2022
Tuesday, April 19, 2022 Favorite
Bouncing back and reinvigorating the tourism industry, the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) proudly presents the PTAA 29th Travel Tour Expo and the seventh International Travel Trade Expo to be held at the SMX Convention Center, Manila from June 24 to 26, 2022.
With the theme, “Braving and shaping the future of travel,” the upcoming face-to-face travel tour expo will be offering great travel deals and awesome tour packages for both foreign and domestic travellers.
Not only as a great business opportunity for both parties, but it is also an encouragement for tourism and travel in general, says Michelle Taylan, PTAA president.
The grand event signifies the recovery of travel and tourism this 2022 where the pandemic is nothing to be feared anymore.
This is the year where travel businesses will flourish, and this is where we bring a new golden age for tourism, adds Taylan.
Following the resounding success of last year’s event, which gathered key personalities from the government and the different embassies, the PTAA 29th Travel Tour Expo and the seventh International Travel Trade Expo promise a bigger expo, wider participation from stakeholders, and more exciting offers while observing and maintaining the minimum health standards, set by the government.
This year’s travel tour expo will occupy function rooms 1 to 5 on the second floor of the SMX Convention Center in Manila with more than 150 exhibitors and with 35,000 to 45,000 visitors expected to attend. The three-day event will be filled with raffle draws, corporate game shows, entertainment, and presentations from exhibitors and sponsors.

PTAA’s Travel Tour Expo 2022 set on June 24-26
In this atmosphere of renewed interest and rising demand to travel, the Philippine Travel Agents Association (PTAA) has launched the 29th Travel Tour Expo & 7th International Travel Trade Expo at the SMX Convention Center Manila to be held F2F (face-to-face) on June 24-26, 2022.
With the theme “Braving and Shaping the Future of Travel, the upcoming F2F expo is poised to boost the tourism industry with great travel deals and tour packages that will be made available to both foreign and domestic travelers.
Numerous destinations will be featured as well as exclusive promotions and discounts on airfare, accommodations, and tours. Travelers can also get to choose their travel schedules, favored transport vehicles on air, sea, or land, and even secure travel insurance on the spot. Attendees can also look forward to exciting raffles, corporate game shows, exhibitors and sponsors’ presentations, and varied entertainment numbers.
From a high of 1,035 exhibitors in four SMX Halls in 2019 receiving more than 120,000 visitors, this year’s event has been trimmed down to 142 exhibitors in two halls to maintain crowds and assure a safe and healthy environment.
The 29th Travel Tour Expo and 7th International Travel Trade Expo, it’s B2B component, will occupy Function Rooms 1 to 5 on the 2nd Floor of SMX Convention Center Manila.
Among the exhibitors who will be joining are airlines (8), travel agencies and tour operators (16 and 1 foreign-based), hotels and resorts (67), government and national tourism organization (17), travel insurance (5), travel related entities and merchandiser (21), and food concessionaires (9).
“We expect a conservative number of around 30,000 visitors this year due to the smaller number of exhibitors; however, we are back to four exhibition halls on February 2023 when the expected full normalization of global travel will be evident,” said Michelle Tylan, Chairman of the TTE 2022 organizing committee.
While the health and safety precautions are still a valid concerns, the government continues to impose the minimum health standards in cooperation with the local government and the Department of Tourism, reassuring that “Travel in the Philippines is safe, and as we always promised, more fun,” said Secretary Bernadette R. Puyat.
Sponsors for the event are: Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), Citibank, U-Coinville by Unilever, Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Turkish Airlines, PLDT, Travel Update Philippines, and Philippine Star.

PTAA all set for next year’s 30th Travel Tour Expo 2023
- BusinessMirror
- January 7, 2023
- 2 minute read
The Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA), the largest and most prestigious travel agency association in the country, is always at the forefront in helping advance the travel industry’s growth and expansion. For next year, PTAA is launching its annual and most anticipated travel event, the 30th Travel Tour 2023 and the 8th International Travel Trade Expo 2023 slated on February 3 to 5, 2023 at the SMX Convention Center in MOA Complex, Pasay City.
As projected, the 30th Travel Tour Expo 2023 will be much bigger and more exciting than the previous year’s expo in terms of total exhibit area, foot traffic, numbers of exhibitors, travel deals and packages and entertainment activities.
The 30th Travel Tour Expo 2023 is expected to occupy two floors of the SMX Convention Center as compared to a single floor this year. To fill up this space, it expects to attract about 300 exhibitors for 2023. This means more floor area for exhibitors offering more travel accessories, travel deals and packages and other travel related services. In terms of foot traffic, organizers have projected 80,000 to 100,000 visitors for the Travel Tour Expo 2023.
As early as November of this year, Travel Tour Expo organizers has confirmed about 250 exhibitors have signed up, occupying 700 booths of which 16 are airlines companies both local and international, with 96 hotels and resorts participating. These numbers are expected to go up as the event date nears. “For the exhibitors, we expect more to join us as the Travel Tour Expo is not just a place to sell their products and services but more importantly, it is a perfect vehicle to promote their business. At the expo, they can showcase their travel services, tourist attractions and travel packages. As thousands visit the travel expo event every year, it is definitely a place where they can get maximum exposure for their businesses,” PTAA President Michelle Taylan said.
As the world economy opens up, local and international travel deals are being offered by several travel agencies. “Travel agencies have conceptualized several travel deals like the group travel package, one has to join a big group of tourists to avail of the big discounts and this is inclusive of transport fares, hotel accommodation, and food. The client will just have to book in advance and choose an installment plan with low down payment to make their travel experience really affordable,” Taylan added.
With the success and popularity of the Travel Tour Expo, it has become a significant event in the travel industry as it help boost business in the travel industry. As thousands of travel transactions are consummated during the event valued at several millions, it will definitely improve the recovery effort of the travel industry as well as the Philippine economy in general.

30th PTAA Travel Tour Expo 2023
Local and international leisure travel is expected to return in 2023, and this bodes well for the recovery of the country’s travel industry. In the same year, the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA), the largest travel agency association in the Philippines, will hold its biggest Travel Tour Expo to date, the 30th PTAA Travel Tour Expo 2023.
Compared to the previous Travel Tour Expo, the expected number of visitors, exhibitors, travel packages, and entertainment events will be more exciting. The special event also celebrates its Pearl Anniversary and marks the association’s enduring dedication and hard work to the travel and tourism industry.
In November 2022, 250 exhibitors, 16 local and international airlines, and 96 hotels and resorts signed up to participate. And PTAA President Michelle Taylan expects the number to go up for businesses to sell their products and services and promote their business.
The organizers project foot traffic reaching 80,000 to 100,000 in three days, which 400 exhibitors and 1000 booths will serve. Two floors of the SMX Convention Center Manila were booked to accommodate the visitors and exhibitors. The large floor area also means more space for the exhibitors to offer travel-related products and services.
Guests can see live performances, such as cultural dance competitions between different regions and provinces in the country, participate in raffle prizes like free airfares with additional accommodations such as dining coupons and souvenirs, and expect big discounts on traveling gear from participating exhibitors.
Travelers and adventurers can also expect to have more options regarding travel fares and tour packages and count on the exhibitors to help with their travel needs in terms of destinations, schedules, friendly connecting flights, and securing travel insurance on the spot.
Travel Tour Expo was conceptualized in 1994 to promote travel-related products and services to its members. It has since expanded into a significant annual event in the travel and tourism industry that serves the traveling public’s needs. The 30th PTAA Travel Tour Expo 2023, slated on February 3-5, 2023, will be held at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Mall of Asia.
Schedule : February 3-5, 2023 Venue : SMX Convention Center Manila, Mall of Asia, Pasay City Opening Hours : 10AM to 8PM (February 3), 9:30AM to 8PM (February 4-5) Entrance Fee Rates : P70, General Admission; P50, Senior Citizens Socials : facebook.com/PTAA-TravelTour-Expo-2023-316125265237670/ Website : traveltourexpo.ptaa.org.ph/

Philippines’ Travel Tour Expo returns this February
The 31st Travel Tour Expo (TTE) and the ninth International Travel Trade Expo will be held from February 2 to 4 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Pasay City in the Philippines.
Organised by the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA), the TTE 2024 will spotlight how the Philippine tourism and hospitality industries have levelled up to make domestic and international trips for Filipinos more worthwhile through exclusive deals and packages on air fares, tours, and accommodations.
TTE 2024 will host more than 200 participating exhibitors with 702 booths, and anticipates a turnout of 100,000 travel enthusiasts. Booths will include airlines, domestic and international travel agencies and tour operators, hotels and resorts, cruise liners and shipping, merchandisers and more. It will also serve as the launchpad for new destinations, affordable tours, transportation choices, tailor-fit accommodations, and various payment options to cater to every voyager.
“Many travellers are eager to make up for lost time. Revenge travel has undeniably played a role in the resurgence of tourism – more importantly, people have realised that life is short. This renewed eagerness to travel, to live life and experience other places and cultures is definitely long-term,” remarked PTAA president Evangeline Tankiang-Manotok.
While digital platforms have made travel more accessible, convenient and personalised, TTE 2024 chairperson Patria Chiong said that “travel agencies offer people-to-people connection” and offer ever-ready assistance “in case of misconnections, missing luggage, insurance”.
This event is sponsored by Tourism Promotions Board, Union Bank of the Philippines, AirSwift Transport, Philippine Airlines, TIEZA, PLDT, and Taiwan Tourism Bureau.

Ready for revenge travel? Here’s what to expect from the PTAA Travel Tour Expo 2022
By Kara Santos Published Jun 23, 2022 8:44 am Updated Jun 23, 2022 12:57 pm
After months of living in and out of lockdowns, travel is back with a vengeance.
Get your bucketlists and credit cards ready because the biggest travel expo in the Philippines is back.
The Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) will stage the 29th Travel Tour Expo and the seventh International Travel Trade Expo this weekend, at the SMX Convention Center from June 24 to 26, 2022.
The expo promises big discounts on tour packages to both local and international destinations, including to newly reopened South Korea and Japan.
While there have been a lot of online seat sales lately, travelers looking to snag good deals will still want to attend the expo. The face-to-face event will offer a whole slew of travel deals, discounts, and tour packages for both foreign and domestic travelers all in one space.
Here’s what we know so far about the country’s biggest annual travel and tourism event.
The expo is happening this weekend from June 24 to 26
This year’s event will take place from Friday, June 24 to Sunday, June 26, 2022.
The doors will open from 9:00 am - 10:00 am on June 24 exclusively for bank partners. The event will open to the public from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm (June 24), 9:30 am to 7:00 pm (June 25) and 9:30 am to 6:00 pm (June 26)
The expo will occupy function rooms 1 to 5 on the second floor of the SMX Convention Center at the MOA Complex, in Pasay City Philippines.
Organizers are estimating a foot traffic of 30,000 to 45,000 visitors throughout the three-day run.
Entrance tickets will cost P50.00 per person for general admission and P30.00 for senior citizens.
There will be at least 142 exhibitors
At least 142 exhibitors will participate in the event, ranging from travel and tour agencies, airlines, hotels and resorts, and national tourism organizations including the Philippine Department of Tourism, embassies, and travel insurance companies.
Exhibitors will be offering event-exclusive promotions and discounts on airfare, accommodations, and tours. Travel tour operators will also be on-hand for those who want to book package trips for groups or the whole family for more convenience.
Some agencies will also be offering visa assistance, passport assistance and special rates for students, workers and immigrants.
Promos for both local and international destinations will be up for grabs
“We’re offering or promoting all the destinations, locally and internationally, especially those that relaxed their protocols,” PTAA president Michelle Taylan said in a press briefing last week.
Domestic airlines like Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines will be there offering in-event promos to their hottest destinations.
According to Michelle Lim of CEB Corporate Communications , Cebu Pacific has continuously seen an uptick in travel demand for both local and international destinations, as many countries ease their restrictions.
View this post on Instagram A post shared by Cebu Pacific Air (@cebupacificair)
“For CEB, top domestic destinations are Everyjuan's usual go-to beach spots such as Boracay, Bohol, Cebu, and Palawan; while for international, flights to Japan, Korea, and Singapore are currently in-demand. We make sure we do what we can keep fares as low as possible so we may continue enabling people to fly,” Lim of Cebu Pacific told PhilSTAR L!fe .
“Those planning to visit the Travel Tour Expo this weekend should be there early, ready with their credit cards to score the best travel deals yet,” Lim added.
"PAL will be offering special rates at the PTTA Travel Tour Expo 2022. Make sure to have options for your travel dates to get the best deals," Bud Britanico , VP of Sales for Philippine Air Lines (PAL) told PhilSTAR L!fe .
Other airlines that will be present include Japan Air, Korean Air, Turkish Airlines, Air Asia and Sunlight Air.

Big discounts on holidays to South Korea and Japan

Japan is also relaxing their entry requirements for international travelers traveling on package tours starting in June 2022.
According to the PTTA, the biggest discounts will be tagged on holidays to South Korea and Japan, two destinations that are hugely popular with Filipino travellers.

Tata Metal Lestari presents sustainable coated steel in Sydney Build Expo 2024
Share this article, change size.
ustralia's largest construction and design exhibition, Sydney Build Expo 2024, was held again from May 1-2 at the ICC Sydney exhibition center. With a focus on innovation, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, Sydney Build Expo 2024 provided a platform for networking, learning and collaborating in the construction and design industry. At this event, industry professionals, innovators and policymakers met to explore the latest trends and developments in the built environment.
This event, which was attended by more than 20,000 participants, 500 speakers, exhibitors and a construction festival, was an opportunity for construction industry players in the country to showcase their products abroad. This opportunity was taken by PT Tata Metal Lestari (Tatalogam Group) as one of the largest producers of zinc aluminum-coated steel in Indonesia.
Vice president of Tata Metal Lestari, Stephanus Koeswandi explained that Australia is one of the export-destination countries for the zinc aluminum-coated steel products it produces. Therefore, by attending Sydney Build Expo 2024, he hoped that demand for coated steel products would continue to increase so that it can increase the country's foreign exchange, which will ultimately have an impact on the nation's economy.
“The current incessant infrastructure development in Australia is a big opportunity for Indonesia. Coupled with the search for alternative suppliers of construction materials using construction products that are produced using sustainable practices by Australian buyers, it is predicted that the Australian construction and building market will experience rapid growth in the next few years. For this reason, Tata Metal Lestari's participation in Sydney Build Expo 2024 is expected to be an opportunity to strengthen the presence of Indonesian products in Australian construction and building," explained Stephanus.
Stephanus added that at the eighth Sydney Built Expo this year, the issue of sustainability was still an important focus that must be presented. With a net-zero emissions target in 2050, the government and society in Australia are increasingly aware that development must now prioritize environmental sustainability, from raw materials to workmanship.
For this reason, at this event Tata Metal Lestari presented three of its superior coated-steel products, namely Nexalume, Nexium and Nexcolor. These products, which have green babel, gold-level certificates, are expected to be able to meet construction needs in this country. Apart from having green standards, these three products have also passed standard tests in Australia (Australian Standard/SA), American Standard Testing and Material (ASTM), Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) and Indonesian National Standards (SNI).
“In order to compete in the global market, a product must of course have predetermined standards. The Tata Metal Lestari products such as Nexalume, Nexium and Nexcolor currently meet the standards that have been set, starting from green standards or green labels to other national suitability standards, such as Australian Standards, ASTM, JIS and SNI," said Stephanus.
Nexalume is 55 percent zinc aluminum alloy-coated steel processed by a continuous coating line machine, which gives the steel a very effective layer of corrosion protection. This material is usually used as a raw material for the roll-forming process. Nexalume has undergone various tests and has passed quality standards in various countries. Nexalume is exported to more than 20 countries around the world.
