3M Soccer League

3M Soccer League was founded in 2002 when East Brunswick Soccer Club and many other clubs saw a diminishing participation from recreational soccer players in the older ranks. During the first two seasons of the league, East Brunswick Soccer Club and East Windsor Soccer Club only had two boys teams that were created from a combination of U13-U18 players. As the years progressed, the league has expanded dramatically to currently include a combined 35 boys and girls teams in nine different towns. Further, the expanded growth has led to the formation of Junior (U13-15) and Senior Divisions. Overall, the 3M Soccer League now gives more than 600 players the opportunity to play through their senior year of high school.

2024 Spring Travel Schedule

Jersey City Youth Travel Soccer Program

Jersey City Soccer Association has youth travel teams from U8 through to U16. This travel program augments our recreation program that has been running for more than 40 years. We are the largest and longest running and most prestigious soccer program in Jersey City. Our home field is at Caven Point in Jersey City but we also play at Gateway, Lincoln Park West and Berry Lane fields.

Our travel teams run try-outs and roster selections in the spring and practice over the summer to prepare for the fall season. Click  here for more information on our travel team tryouts.

Key aspects of our program are as follows:

Our teams train two or three times per week, with professional, paid trainers from the SEFT (School of Elite Football Training).

Volunteer coaches hold state and/or national licenses, participate in additional professional development sponsored by the association, and we select only coaches who have a passion for the game.

We keep our player costs lower than other clubs because we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, obtain sponsors for our teams, and compute our prices only to cover our costs.  It is an extremely good value.

We play in the Fall and Spring seasons in the EDP and/or Northern Counties Youth Soccer League (NCSA). In addition our home matches are played at our new turf soccer field at the Caven Point Sports Complex in Jersey City, and away matches are played locally in Hudson County and surrounding Northern NJ counties.

  • Tournament play depending on each team and coaches
  • Participation in NCSA Cup competition
  • Winter training conducted indoors in local gyms.

We hold tryouts for our teams each year in the Spring.  As we have openings for additional players, announcements will be made on the association's home page and on this page, but feel free to inquire at any time.

Our Fall Season is over, but we are always excited to welcome new players to tryout.  Since the season is already underway  we offer rolling tryouts, where we invite potential new players to a practice or two, to see if JCSA Travel is right for them.

For information on trying out for our travel teams please fill out this google doc.

https://forms.gle/8hzYUrx7587mCU7e7

you will be asked to include your child's Birth Year (not age) and where they have played before - experience is not necessary but it helps us understand which team to have you practice with.

Washington Township Soccer

Washington Township Soccer believes it is important to find a team for all our players to play. On average, we have 35 teams with skill levels that vary greatly. However, sometimes the number of players dictates the number of teams that we can put on the field, and we can’t always accommodate each player at the travel level. Our travel program has limited availability for “out-of-town” players – sometimes this is needed to obtain certain competitive levels, and sometimes this is needed just to field teams.

According to New Jersey Youth Soccer bylaws, the travel soccer year starts in August and ends the following July. The calendar is split into two seasons – Fall (starting in August) and Spring (starting in March). There are typically 10 games in the Fall and 10 games in the Spring for boys and girls travel. Half of the games are home games, so you only travel to approximately five away games each season.  The girls play on Saturdays and the boys play on Sundays.  All games are in the afternoon. Teams practice twice per week at the same time each week.

Since this is travel soccer, traveling to neighboring towns is part of the commitment. Depending on the league placement of your child’s team, away games could be as far north as Princeton – or as far south as Cape May. The majority of towns that participate in the SJSL and SJGSL leagues are from Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, and Salem counties.

Welcome To Elizabeth Soccer Website

Our site has been redesigned and constructed in order to provide easier and more convenient access to critical information your soccer club needs to make it through the season.

Our new Fields page makes it much easier to print out directions your team needs to make it to your away games. Simply select the field you need directions to from the list and hit Ctrl+P on your keyboard!

Feel free to browse through the whole site. We hope it serves as an aid in providing you the information you need most, quickly and easily.

Innovate to Grow is offered by NJYS through a grant from the US Soccer Federation.  The  main goal of this initiative is to promote continued growth of grassroots youth soccer programs and to maintain soccer as a top sport thought the United States.   NJYS has re-focused efforts in northern New Jersey and we are very proud to have been selected for participation.  A special thanks to NJYS Innovate to Grow Program Consultant and District Commissioner David Ricca who has worked closely with us over the past couple months to become members of NJYS and gain acceptance to this exciting program.

1 killed, another wounded in shooting near New Jersey City University

One man was killed and another wounded in a shooting early Tuesday morning near the campus of New Jersey City University , authorities said.

David Moore , 24, suffered a gunshot wound to his upper body, the Hudson County prosecutor’s office said. He was pronounced dead at Jersey City Medical Center around 1:30 a.m.

The second victim, identified only as a 23-year-old man, was shot in an “upper extremity,” according to investigators. His injury was not considered life-threatening.

No suspects have been arrested or publicly identified in the case.

Jersey City Police responded to a shots-fired report at Audubon Ave. and College St. around 12:40 a.m., prosecutors said. The responding officers arrived to find “an extensive crime scene” and recovered a weapon.

“I heard about six shots at first and they stopped for like five, 10 minutes, maybe quicker than that. And then they started up again,” Jersey City resident Nigh Love told News 12 New Jersey .

Authorities have provided no further details on the shooting.

“The university has spoken with the Jersey City Police Department and determined this is an isolated incident posing no threat to the university community,” New Jersey City University spokesman Ira Thor told News 12.

Moore was the second young man to be fatally shot in Hudson County in about 25 hours. Around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night, Damon Murray was shot dead in Hoboken .

Murray, 21, was also pronounced dead at Jersey City Medical Center after suffering a gunshot wound to the abdomen, authorities said.

No suspects have been arrested in his case either.

Murray committed to play football at Rutgers in 2020, but left the program after one semester , according to NJ.com . He never appeared in a game for the Scarlet Knights and was not listed on their 2020 roster.
