Wendella has three docking locations. The location of your tour or cruise, is clearly marked on your ticket. Your ticket will say: “Michigan Avenue,” “West Dock, or “Riverwalk,” under the tour title. Locations below;

Michigan Avenue;  Located at 400 N Michigan Avenue Chicago, Il 60611. Descend the stairs adjacent to the Michigan Avenue (DuSable) Bridge.

West Dock ; Located at 400 N Michigan Avenue Chicago, Il 60611 in between the Wrigley Building and Trump International Hotel & Tower.

Food is not served, but snacks are available for purchase at the vessel bar.

Our tours are currently in English only. Printed tour guides are available in Simplified Chinese.

Boarding begins 15-30 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.

Tours and cruises depart rain or shine. Wendella vessels include sheltered areas and climate controlled lounges. Ponchos are available for purchase on all vessels. However, in cases of severe weather, if the Captain deems it unsafe and cancels the tour, all guests will be refunded.

Seating is first come, first served. We recommend groups arrive 30 minutes prior to the tour time for a better chance of getting seats together.

A full-service bar is available on board. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as an assortment of snacks, are available for purchase. Bar sales are credit card only. No cash purchases.

There is no storage area on our dock, but guests may bring their luggage aboard keeping in mind it is subject to inspection.

Our tours do often sell out and we always recommend customers buy their tickets online and in advance.

The following discounts apply; 50% off on Tuesdays for College Students with a valid Student ID from an accredited College or University. 50% off Monday-Thursday for active-duty U.S. Military personnel and their spouses with a valid ID. $10 off Monday-Thursday for U.S. Veterans and Reservists with a valid ID. All discounted tickets must be purchased at the ticket office to receive the discount. Discounts are not valid on holidays. Discounts are not valid for the Wine & Cheese Cruise or Beer & BBQ Cruise.

Parking is available at nearby parking garages or through SpotHero, the nations leading parking reservation app ;

AMA Plaza Parking Garage may be accessed off Wabash Avenue, opposite Trump Tower or on State Street near the Hertz sign. Wendella guests can receive a $5.00 off parking chaser coupon from our ticket office. Parking may be reserved in advance by visiting StateWabashParking.com ($5.00 off parking chaser coupon cannot be applied to parking reservations made in advance).

Trump Tower Parking Garage is located at 401 N Wabash Avenue. Wendella guests may park for up to 6 hours at a discounted rate of $18.00 with a parking chaser coupon from our ticket office. This coupon is for self-park only and is not valid for valet parking. Parking is subject to availability.

Yes. Restrooms are located on the lower deck of each vessel; changing tables are also available in each restroom.

If the weather isn’t ideal for outdoor seating, most Wendella vessels feature an enclosed climate-controlled lounge on the bottom deck with speakers to hear the tour guide’s narration. We suggest that if you have a concern about whether your vessel has a climate-controlled lounge, to please call ahead: 312-337-1446.

Wendella Sightseeing Cruises

Providing exciting experiences to locals and visitors since 1935, the Wendella Sightseeing company is known for its signature architecture tours. As the original boat tour company in Chicago, Wendella provides a variety of daily boat tours throughout the summer season, and special occasions as well.

Wendella’s vessels have open topped viewing decks that are perfect for warm Chicago days. Most of the vessels also feature an indoor, climate-controlled lounge on the lower deck, offering speakers that allow guests to continue listening to live narration from the tour guide while inside.

Types of Wendella Sightseeing Tours

River Architecture Tours

Navigating through the heart of downtown Chicago on all three branches of the Chicago River, a short architecture tour of just over an hour tells the story of more than 130 years of innovative architecture and unique heritage.

Lake & River Tour

Lasting approximately 1 ½ hours, Wendella has been offering this classic lake and river tour since 1935! Telling the story of more than 200 years of history, this tour explores the community, politics and social history. Begin with an up-close view of iconic architecture from the river, and then move through the Chicago Lock onto the waters of Lake Michigan. This will offer amazing views of Chicago’s 26-mile long skyline.

Sunset Cruise

Spend the evening on the calm waters, watching the sun set slowly behind the city’s skyline. A serene, romantic cruise lasts 1 ½ hours and is best enjoyed with a cocktail, glass of wine, or cold beer.

Chicago River Experience

A shorter, 45-minute experience may be available on weekends and holidays throughout the peak season of the summer. Grab hold of the energy of the city through the heart of downtown Chicago with a casual, family-friendly introduction to the history and heritage of the Windy City.

Fireworks Cruise

Celebrate two nights a week throughout the peak summer season with a two-hour, epic fireworks cruise. Guests will experience an unobstructed, 360-degree view of the fireworks right over the skyline from the peaceful waters of Lake Michigan.

Specialty Cruises

Throughout the season, Wendella Sightseeing provides special occasion tours for various holidays and festivities. These may include St. Patrick’s Day (complete with the green river), 4 th of July, Halloween, Beer & BBQ, Wine & Cheese and more.

Public tours run daily throughout the warmer season, and the vessels can also be privately chartered for groups. Wendella’s boats are perfect as an open-air venue for family events, school trips, corporate events and much more. Private chartering may include a water taxi for group transportation, or cruise vessels that hold up to 275 guests.

Wendella Sightseeing Timing

River and lake architecture tours are offered each day through the season, from March through December. Cruises may last from 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the specific booking and schedule.

Information guests may need before booking a Wendella Sightseeing Tour:

• Tours depart from the Wendella Main Dock at 400 Michigan Avenue as well as the Wendella West Dock (located at the lower level of Kinzie and Rush).
• Wendella vessels feature restrooms and full-service bars (cash or credit card).
• Tickets may be purchased on the day of the tour at the ticket office, but booking online will ensure that spots are secured. Ticket sales close 5 minutes prior to tour departure.
• Tickets are not refundable but may be transferred to other dates and times.

we had an amazing time on this lakeshore and museum tour. Colton was very knowledgeable and provided detailed information that was highly interesting and educational. we will do it again.

Had a great time It was a nice long length a ride with lots of information thoroughly enjoyed it.

This tour was boss. If you are even thinking about it, DO IT! These guys are great. We had Colton as our guide and he was fun and full of info. Plus riding the Segways was just fun as heck.

I was really impressed by are tour guide Tammy she was amazing. I highly recommend taking this tour! I learned a lot about the city I didn't know and also had a blast on the Segway. Tammy made it a lot of fun with her awesome personality and her coaching each one of us on how to drive the Segway was informative and easy to follow. My family and I will definitely be back to take another tour probably the haunted Halloween one and hopefully it's with her again. Well worth every penny!

Had an AMAZING time with the Segway tour. It was an extremely unique experience being able to tour the chicago highlights with a great tour guide. Highlights were definitely the history of natural history museum, planetarium, and aquarium. Definitely highly recommend for anyone's first time in chicago.

Lakefront Segway Tour!

FIRST "MUST DO" in CHICAGO. Seeing Chicago via Segways on our first day here was the best way to learn about the beauty and history of this city. This tour made a great first impression on us of this city, and "King" Matt, our Segway guide who wore a helmet topped with a crown, orated with terrific energy and enjoyable character. Pre-tour, I had contacted their office with some questions, and Clark was quick to answer and was an absolutely delightful communicator...so rare these days to find this excellent customer service. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Our family-owned and operated charter business has been well known in Hawaii for over the last 30 years. Our goal is to provide an Aloha experience for those visiting Kauai. We hope to instill respect for the island’s cultural significance as well as respect for the marine life in every guest that joins us on our tours.

Kauai Sea Tours is unique among the boat tour operators on Kauai and an originator of Nā Pali coast tours. We are the first to offer both catamaran and raft adventure tours of the Nā Pali Coast. Experience does count and our excellent record sets the standard for Hawaii raft adventures by the US Coast Guard.

Take advantage of our unique special use permits to land the rafts on the Nā Pali Coast for a narrated cultural walking tour of an ancient Hawaiian fishing village at Nu’alolo Kai. All tours depart from Port Allen, Eleele , operated by experienced USCG licensed boat captains and skilled crew who are educated about Kauai wildlife, conservation, and history.

The raft ride was exhilarating but surprisingly comfortable. It rained a bit but they were ready with rain jackets. It only added to the fun and quickly passed. We saw tons of spinner dolphins, went into a cave and did a fun turn-about, and snorkeled on our way back. Highly recommend.

My first time snorkeling and I had a blast! The crew was personable, professional, and even offered me prescription goggles. This was a solo activity for me and I met some very nice people. Picturesque views of the coast, great information on the history of the area, and amazing wildlife!We saw too many whales to count, turtles and spinner dolphins. The crew provided a fun and safe experience for people of all ages. There were several people on the boat that had been on the same tour multiple times before.

Limp Bizkit Releases Wild Promo With Corey Feldman Ahead Of Joint Tour

Ahead of one of the weirdest tours in recent memory, Limp Bizkit and Corey Feldman shared a ridiculous video to promote their upcoming shows together. The Loserville Tour will feature Limp Bizkit joined by actor-singer Feldman, rapper Bones (along with Eddy Baker and Xavier Wulf ), N8NOFACE , and Riff Raff serving as the emcee each night. The absurdly entertaining 17-minute video features Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst and Wes Borland trying to conduct a group interview with their fellow tourmates, but it quickly goes off the rails. As Durst says in the clip: “If anyone comes to this tour, they are in the wrong place at the right time, and absolutely a gathering of losers is what this is going to be.” The Loserville Tour gets going on July 16th in Somerset, Wisconsin, and will roll through the end of August. Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.

Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.  

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.

Much like the Elitserien Finals, we have a bit of an offense vs. defense match-up in this league Final.  While Ufa let their star top line of Alexander Radulov, Patrick Thoresen and Igor Grigorenko loose on the KHL's Western Conference, Mytischi played a more conservative style, relying on veterans such as former NHLers Jan Bulis, Oleg Petrov, and Jaroslav Obsut.  Just reaching the Finals is a testament to Atlant's disciplined style of play, as they had to knock off much more high profile teams from Yaroslavl and St. Petersburg to do so.  But while they did finish 8th in the league in points, they haven't seen the likes of Ufa, who finished 2nd. 

This series will be a challenge for the underdog, because unlike some of the other KHL teams, Ufa's top players are generally younger and in their prime.  Only Proshkin amongst regular blueliners is over 30, with the work being shared by Kirill Koltsov (28), Andrei Kuteikin (26), Miroslav Blatak (28), Maxim Kondratiev (28) and Dmitri Kalinin (30).  Oleg Tverdovsky hasn't played a lot in the playoffs to date.  Up front, while led by a fairly young top line (24-27), Ufa does have a lot of veterans in support roles:  Vyacheslav Kozlov , Viktor Kozlov , Vladimir Antipov, Sergei Zinovyev and Petr Schastlivy are all over 30.  In fact, the names of all their forwards are familiar to international and NHL fans:  Robert Nilsson , Alexander Svitov, Oleg Saprykin and Jakub Klepis round out the group, all former NHL players.

For Atlant, their veteran roster, with only one of their top six D under the age of 30 (and no top forwards under 30, either), this might be their one shot at a championship.  The team has never won either a Russian Superleague title or the Gagarin Cup, and for players like former NHLer Oleg Petrov, this is probably the last shot at the KHL's top prize.  The team got three extra days rest by winning their Conference Final in six games, and they probably needed to use it.  Atlant does have younger regulars on their roster, but they generally only play a few shifts per game, if that. 

The low event style of game for Atlant probably suits them well, but I don't know how they can manage to keep up against Ufa's speed, skill, and depth.  There is no advantage to be seen in goal, with Erik Ersberg and Konstantin Barulin posting almost identical numbers, and even in terms of recent playoff experience Ufa has them beat.  Luckily for Atlant, Ufa isn't that far away from the Moscow region, so travel shouldn't play a major role. 

I'm predicting that Ufa, winners of the last Superleague title back in 2008, will become the second team to win the Gagarin Cup, and will prevail in five games.  They have a seriously well built team that would honestly compete in the NHL.  They represent the potential of the league, while Atlant represents closer to the reality, as a team full of players who played themselves out of the NHL.
