Fast Travel is a method of travel in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim . It is a way of quickly "teleporting" to any previously discovered location . The travel takes place almost instantaneously in real-world time through a loading screen , but in game time will still pass by as if the Dragonborn had walked there. When using fast travel, the time elapsed may be longer than the time it would have taken to run to the destination, especially when the distance is short.

Fast Travel can be done via the world map or by using one of the carriages stationed near the main gate of many cities. Fast travel via world map is free, but can only be done to a location that has already been discovered. The fast travel cannot be done while in any of the following conditions:

• While indoors
• While jumping
• While falling
• While mounting or dismounting a horse .
• While being too close to enemies

• Under the effect of a Fortify Carry Weight potion that is strong enough. There is no limit on fast travel distance while the potion is in effect. However, the effect of the potion immediately wears off after the arrival causing the Dragonborn to be overburdened again.

And last up on the warnings list, you cannot fast travel if you’re overburdened, or carrying more in item weight than the max capacity your stamina affords you.

Then, pull out your map. Hit Circle on PlayStation and B on Xbox to bring up your menu, then hit the down button to head to your map. Move your cursor over a landmark you’ve visited at least once before, be it a city, a cave, or other notable location. Select this, and choose to fast travel there at the prompt. Dragon riding is a new gameplay mechanic added by the Dragonborn add-on . In order to ride a dragon , you must acquire all three words of the Bend Will shout and use it on a dragon. The dragon will then land and allow you to climb onto its back and ride it. You cannot directly control the dragon while riding, but can give it certain instructions. Unlocking the third word of the Bend Will shout starts the final quest of the Dragonborn main questline , in which you're likely to ride your first dragon . After you do this, a help section will be added in the menu for dragon riding.

• Attack: Attack the chosen target. Your dragon will keep attacking the target with its own means until the target dies. You can cancel the attack by switching to another target.
• Land: Find a potential area to land and dismount your dragon. You can order your dragon to do so even in combat. If you give this order again before landing successfully, the previous landing command will be canceled and you can fly with your dragon back to the sky.

During combat, you are allowed to give your dragon commands. If you have given it an attack command and locked onto a target, it will attack the target until its attack has successfully hit the target or until the dragon is called off. It might take some time for the dragon to actually kill the target, as it will continuously circle until it is in the correct position to attack. If the target moves too fast or finds cover, the dragon may be unable to attack; in this case, it will fall back and continue to circle until the target is vulnerable. If there are several enemies around, the dragon will first dispatch its primary target, then select another automatically.

If the dragon you're riding takes too much damage during combat, it can be killed; if this happens, you will plummet to the earth and most likely die. Should your dragon be struck by the Unrelenting Force ‎ shout, you may get knocked off, which will probably also result in your death.

While riding a dragon, you can only use certain spells and shouts. You are limited mainly to Destruction, Restoration, and Alteration spells while mounted. When casting, you need to pay attention to the effective range of your spells and other factors such as the landscape. The dragon has a fast movement speed, so you must remember that it may be hard to actually hit the enemies.

• Sahloknir and Durnehviir are unaffected by the Bend Will shout, and therefore cannot be ridden.
• Dragon taming is only allowed in the worldspaces of Skyrim, Solstheim, and Apocrypha. Because of this, Alduin , Vulthuryol , and the skeletal dragon encountered in Labyrinthian cannot be ridden.
• The Throat of the World is listed as a bad location for dragon taming and so Paarthurnax cannot be ridden. Odahviing can be tamed and ridden there though.
• Your horse will follow you if you fast travel on a dragon to a different location.
• If a hostile dragon is encountered, the tamed dragon will proceed to fight it and will continue to climb higher into the sky until one of the dragons is reduced to 30% health and flies down to crash land.

• When riding a dragon, if the dragon flies through a mountain, you may disappear and the game may crash.
• Reload a save before riding the dragon to fix this.
• Reading an Elder Scroll may also fix this.
• Getting off and then getting back on the dragon may resolve this.
• While in flight, your dragon and everything around you may slow down to a near walking speed.
• If a dragon you are riding flies outside the world boundaries you will get stuck in mid air, but still be able to do all the things you can normally do while riding a dragon. Reloading a previous save will fix this. ?
• When you mount a dragon after taming it, your character may stand with arms and legs wide upon the dragon where your character is supposed to sit.

Starfield: How To Fast Travel Without Menus

O ne of the most infuriating parts of Starfield is the space travel. I spent far too many skill points buffing my spaceships before realising that, aside from dogfights that feel straight out of Star Trek , your meticulously-upgraded spacecraft is little more than another base you’ve built to craft on the go. Unless…

Starfield is very tutorial-light. It may not feel like it, with the stuttering pace of the opening, but there are so many systems to get to grips with in the game that explaining them all would take hours. Whether you’re building your own spacecraft from scratch or just trying to use your base to mine minerals, you’ll have to do a lot of trial and error before you work out how things work and what your limitations are. The same goes for sailing the stars.

Many players, myself included, lamented the lack of ‘proper’ space travel in the game. There’s a reason one of our guide writers spent four hours trying to fly from Mars’ orbit to the planet itself , only for the game to pull him up a kilometre short.

The only way to get from planet to planet is via fast travel. The same goes for getting from orbit to a planet’s surface, from a planet to a moon, or (perhaps more understandably) from system to system. Open the menu, navigate to the map, select the system, planet, and landing area you want, hold X, cutscene and loading screen ensues. Et voila, you have arrived at your destination. It’s tedious, boring, and completely fails to immerse you in the universe Bethesda has created.

While ‘exploring’ Starfield, I often thought back to playing Skyrim, and the excitement of stumbling upon new towns, encampments, and caves along my way. From the moment you emerge out of the Helgen tunnels, you’re immersed in Tamriel. You see the animals and the streams, the people and the quests, you kill a chicken and fight off an entire enraged village. It pulls you in immediately, and a lot of that comes down to the fact you’re forging your own path on foot. You look at the mountains yourself, maybe you try to climb one. You follow a fox to some loot. You explore the world of Skyrim at your own pace, on your own two feet, and see the world as you would explore it in real life.

Conversely, Starfield immerses you in its story by sending you deep into a mine. It’s the opposite of what most people want to do in the game – I want to fly among the stars, not get a second job going down ‘pit – and it’s boring. It’s immediately followed by a big fight, which prepares you for exactly what to expect with this game, and then you’re finally let loose to fast travel the stars. It’s incredibly underwhelming, and the less-than-stellar travel is the biggest disappointment in a dull opening.

However, Bethesda hides one key part of space travel: your scanner. You know that piece of equipment that allows you to check whether a pile of ore on a planet is Aluminium or Titanium? Yeah, you can use that in space. And when you do, a host of new options open up.

Pressing LB when piloting your ship to open your scanner. Now you can check what minerals meteorites are made of before you blow them up to harvest them (yeah, you can do that too), but you can also see tags on visible planets in your system.

Want to travel from Earth to the Moon – sorry, from Earth to Luna ? Open your scanner and you can press X right from your pilot’s seat to initiate that fast travel sequence. This can go surprisingly far within a system, and is far more immersive than the usual menu-filled method. Yes, you’re still travelling via loading screen, but it feels better to plot your course in real space than in a gamified menu.

You can also fast travel directly to your selected quest this way, by hovering over the blue quest marker which appears in the galaxy. Of course, you’ll need to abide by the usual fast travel rules requiring you to have travelled the route to the system before, but it still feels good.

Space travel in Starfield still isn’t great, but utilising your onboard scanner makes it a little more immersive than the menu method of fast travel that most of us have used for our playthroughs so far.

One of the biggest parts of Stellar Blade, outside of the main story, is all of the fishing you can do. Aside from the numerous fishing side quests, there is a bonus Nanosuit called Ocean Maid if you catch one of each fish. Here’s everything you need to do if you want this costume.

All small fish locations and bait in Stellar Blade

All small fish can be found at the Oasis in the Great Desert. You can catch them all when you first arrive there after you pick up the fishing rod in Stellar Blade . Small fish like small shrimp the most as bait, so you should use this when you’re trying to catch them. Here’s the full list of small fish you can get:

• Goldfish – one-star
• Mudskipper – one-star
• Betta – two-star
• Butterflyfish – three-star
• Porcupinefish – one-star
• Lobster – one-star

All medium fish locations and bait in Stellar Blade

All of the medium fish can be found in the small pond in Xion near the entrance to the Wasteland. Medium fish like wriggling bait the best, and if you need to stock up you can grab them from Clyde at the Oasis.

• Flying Fish – one-star
• Triggerfish – one-star
• Footballfish – three-star
• Sea Bass – one-star
• Mackerel – one-star

All large fish locations and bait in Stellar Blade

Most of the large fish can be found at the pond near the clocktower in Eidos 7, which can be reached by the Plaza fast-travel point. Large fish like the fish slice bait, and you’ll most easily catch them using this. The only large fish we didn’t find here was the Ocean Sunfish, which we caught in the lake in the northwest of the wastelands. It will help you reel in these fish if you purchase more fishing research from Clyde also.

All gigantic fish and jumbo fish can be caught at the Oasis. Gigantic fish like special bait and jumbo fish like fantastic bait. If you haven’t unlocked this yet, you can find it in our fantastic bait guide. Again you might want to purchase more fishing research from Clyde to make this easier.

All fish caught reward in Stellar Blade

If you catch all of the fish, and you talk to Clyde again he will reward you with the Ocean Maid outfit. He says that this outfit is made for swimming, however, it doesn’t make you swim any faster than before.
