Situated in the heart of the Tyrolean Alps, Ischgl in Austria, is known for its stunning landscape, charming alpine chalets and world-class skiing. However, there’s more to this enchanting destination than just winter sports. In recent years, Ischgl has embraced a new wave of eco-friendly adventure sports, and one of the most exciting events on its calendar is the E-Bike World Championship.

The popularity of electric bikes, or e-bikes, has surged in recent years, with riders of all ages and skill levels discovering the joys of assisted pedalling – particularly for tackling the steepest of alpine slopes. The E-Bike World Championship in Ischgl is a multi-day event that includes various categories, ensuring that riders of all levels can join in the excitement.

I’m offered the chance to complete in the EVERYONE class but choose to watch it from the sidelines. Instead I get my own guide who leads me round some of the slopes. Even better, we take our bikes as far as we dare and then hike to the summits on foot.

Day 1 Ischgl to Rauher Kopf – 7 hours

Early morning mist greets us as we set out up the valley. The trail is first asphalt, then dirt and climbs gently to the village of Mathon at 1454m.   We cross the river and start ascending through the forest in a series of switchbacks.

It’s steep in places and I’m glad for the electrical assistance – the trick is to make sure that you’re in a low enough gear for the motor to kick in. After 40 minutes we’ve reached Larein Alpe at 1,850 m and abandon our bikes

It’s now a long traverse on foot across the side of the valley, first level and then climbing steeply. Initially there’s forest but we’re soon above the treeline and are rewarded with magnificent views of the Silvretta mountain range, still with a dusting of snow.

It’s a fairly tough walk and I pick wild blueberries on the way for extra energy. After two hours, there’s a final push to the summit of Rauher Kopf at 2478m. The top is marked with a cross and we can see Ischgl laid out in the valley below.

We retrace our steps and pick up our bikes. There’s an option to divert to see the Berglisee but I’ve had enough for one day, so we cycle back down. The downhill requires extreme concentration as any tumble could spell disaster. From the valley floor, it’s a short ride to a fish lunch at the Wildererhütte between Mathon and Ischgl.

Day 2 Ischgl to Hohe Köpfe – 5 hours

The day dawns bright and sunny and I’m still aching from yesterday’s exertions. We follow the same route up the valley, along the edge of the forest, but don’t cross the river at Mathon. Instead we carry on past Preserau to Valzur where the track climbs in a series of wide hairpins.

Walking to Hohe Köpfe

We reach the Friedrichshafener Hütte at 2,138 m and stop for a coffee and a rest. The refuge sits next to a small lake and offers a fantastic view of the Silvretta and the imposing Fluchthorn. From here we cycle up another 150m before ditching our bikes. Then it’s a hard foot slog ever upwards following the Georg Prasser path to a couple of mountain lakes. These form the Brüllersee, at 2490m, and the snow covered peaks are reflected in the waters.

Hohe Köpfe is only another 100m or so upwards, and it’s an easy climb to the summit. We make our way back down to the bikes and then enjoy a hearty sausage lunch at the Friedrichshafener Hütte. On our way down we pass some of the competitors for the E-Bike Championships. They’re covered in mud and look as tired as I am. Back in Ischgl, I soak my weary limbs at the newly opened Silvretta Spa.

The E-Bike World Championship Returns to Ischgl September 2022

The E-Bike World Championship winners will once again be crowned in Ischgl next September. This is the largest e-bike race in the world, featuring two different track classifications – “Everyone” and “Elite” classes. Registration is now open

Whether a serious cyclist or riding just for fun, Ischgl invites riders to participate in the first E-Bike World Cup open to the public, known as the E-Bike World Championship for Everyone. Push physical limits or simply enjoy a little competition while riding an e-bike against the backdrop of the breathtaking Tirolean mountains. This event also gives guests and participants the opportunity to try out the latest trends in e-biking and learn more about this fascinating sport.Riders as young as ten years old can take part in the open class E-Bike World Championship for Everyone .

World championship titles to be won:

Elite athletes and occasional cyclists will be able to enter the E-Bike World Championship for Everyone in Ischgl between September 2and 3, 2022, The rules of the world’s largest e-bike race are simple:

“While the fastest biker is crowned world champion in the “Elite” category, participants in the “ Everyone ” category compete against three riding time limits (gold, silver and bronze). If they fall below one of the three defined time limits, the e-bikers will receive an official Everyone World Championship gold, silver or bronze medal,” Dr. Markus Mitterdorfer (E-Bike World Federation) explains the rules.

Elite Men and Ladies: Race on time and become e-bike world champion

The three fastest cyclists will be awarded the official gold, silver, and bronze E-Bike World Championship for Everyone medals. This is a technically demanding course with steep climbs and spectacular single downhill sections for 32 km with 1,025 meters of altitude gain.

Racing Categories for E-Bike World Cup for Everyone

Beat the time and become a world champion along a 24 km long route of the ” Everyone class with a 693 m of altitude gain along wide paths with a fantastic panorama and impressive mountain scenery.

E -bike requirements

Customary e-MTBs with pedal assistance of up to 25 km/h and an engine power of a maximum of 250 W are permitted. The batteries may have a maximum of 800 W. All bikes will be checked before the starting signal. Those who do not have their own e-bike can rent.

A colourful program awaits visitors to Ischgl, spectators and riders during the E-Bike World Championship for Everyone.The E-Bike World Cup for Everyone offers something for all and participants who make up their minds quickly can save real money at the E-Bike World Championship: To enter, excluding e-bike rental, costs 59€/£50 for all those registering before May 1, 2022. E-bikes can be rented on site for a fee. Those who register by August 26, 2022 will pay 69 euros. After August 27th, 79 euros will be due. Attention: limited starting places – confirmation of starting place on a first come first serve basis.”

E-Bike World Championships for Everyone

E-biking is growing in popularity in the mountains. Get a little boost in your pedal as you explore exclusive trails in Ischgl during the 5th E-Bike World Championships for Everyone in late summer.

It doesn’t matter if you have ever raced before. Anyone who loves to mountain bike can take on this adventure. You even don’t need to bring your own electric bike as they are available for rental on the spot. Competitors can choose how far they want to ride on September 07, 2024: The 28-kilometer long “Everyman” route that climbs 530 vertical meters or the longer “Elite” route for advanced riders that gains 1,470 meters of elevation along 39 kilometers.

Athletes race against the clock and have to achieve a certain timed limit. The fastest rider will earn the title of E-Bike World Champion. Medals in gold, silver and bronze and prizes are awarded three deep. Permitted are electric mountain bikes, also known as pedal assists or pedelecs, which activate their electric motor only while the rider is pedaling and can legally assist up to a maximum speed of 25 kilometers per hour (you can pedal the bike faster than 25 kph, but the motor won’t kick in beyond that speed). Down the finish lines it’s all about having fun with an expo area and a Championship Party with live music on race day.

E Bike Touren in Ischgl

Einsamkeit nicht weit vom trubel.

Ischgl: Innbegriff für Wintersport, hunderte Kilometer schneesichere Pisten, international bekannte Events und reichlich Party. Im Sommer zeigt es sich von einer ganz anderen – seiner ruhigen – Seite. Genau dieser Kontrast macht die Ausnahmeregion Paznaun-Ischgl so einzigartig. Die Ferienregion beschränkt sich dabei nicht ausschließlich auf die Gemeinde Ischgl, sondern repräsentiert die 40 Kilometer lange Talschaft mit See, Kappl, Ischgl und Galtür. Tief ist das Tal der Trisanna eingeschnitten zwischen den imposanten Gebirgszügen des Verwall im Norden und der Silvretta- und der Samnaungruppe im Süden. Mit 3.399 Metern ragt das Fluchthorn als höchster Berg aus der Silvretta heraus und kann sowohl über das Jamtal bei Galtür als auch das Fimbatal bei Ischgl bestiegen werden. Wer seine Urlaubsziele nicht ganz so hoch gesteckt hat, sollte das Paznaun mit dem E-Bike entdecken. In kaum einer anderen Region der Alpen kommt man dem Himmel dabei so nah wie hier!

Übrigens: Die „Silvretta Card all inclusive“ ist wohl der wichtigste Urlaubsbegleiter. Denn damit sind alle Lifte, die Nutzung öffentlicher Verkehrsmittel und der Eintritt zu Bädern und Museen, die Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße und vieles mehr ab der ersten Übernachtung kostenfrei; auch schon am Anreisetag!

E-Bike Tour zur Gamperthunalpe

Es ist noch früher Morgen, als wir Marc treffen. Seit mehr als zehn Jahren kümmert er sich um das Wohlergehen der Mountainbiker und Radler im Paznaun, sei es in Sachen Wegpflege, Beschilderung oder durch die Organisation von Events wie dem legendären Ischgl Ironbike Festival. Sein Engagement und die Hände vieler leidenschaftlicher Mountainbiker der Region tragen dazu bei, dass das Wegenetz für Biker und E-Biker erhalten und weiter ausgebaut wird, neue Trails entstehen und vor allem der stetig wachsenden Gruppe der E-Biker attraktive Ziele und spannende Pfade erlebbar gemacht werden. Marc führt uns an diesem Morgen zu einem Kleinod des Paznaun. Die Abgeschiedenheit der auf über 2.000 Meter liegenden Gamperthunalpe sei beispielhaft für einige der Paznauner Hochalmen, meint unser Guide. Gesäumt von wild rauschenden Gebirgsbächen, Wasserfällen und mit einem herrlichen Blick auf die Südseite der steilen Talflanke windet sich die Schotterstraße von See über die Baumgrenze in das abgelegene Seitental. Wir sind froh über die Unterstützung, die unsere E-Bikes bieten und können uns voll und ganz auf die landschaftlichen Eindrücke und Marcs Ausführungen konzentrieren. Auf der baumlosen, offenen Hochfläche bietet sich ein unbeschreiblicher Blick auf die Gipfel des Verwall wie den Hohen Riffler (3.186 m) und die steil abfallende Pezinerspitze (2.550 m). Unüberhörbar machen einige Murmeltiere auf sich aufmerksam, bevor sie mit durchdrehenden Hinterläufen über die Almwiesen wetzen. Kühe liegen und stehen herum und grasen friedlich, scheinbar unbeeindruckt vom Getümmel und der landschaftlichen Schönheit. Die kleine Kapelle auf der Alpe lädt zum Verweilen ein. Wie wir von Marc erfahren, befinden sich im Paznaun 60 Kapellen, die einst aufgrund der großen Entfernungen von den einzelnen Weilern zu den Pfarrkirchen errichtet wurden. Der Ort Kappl verdankt dieser Gegebenheit seinen Namen.

Im kleinen See der Friedrichshafener Hütte auf 2.138 Meter schwimmen sogar Forellen.

Auf der baumlosen, offenen Hochfläche der Gamperthunalpe bietet sich ein unbeschreiblicher Blick auf die Gipfel des Verwall, wie den Hohen Riffler (3.186m) und die steil abfallende Penzinerspitze (2.500m).

Mit dem Rücken im weichen Gras und dem Blick in den Himmel fühlen wir uns unendlich. Doch schon bald knurrt der Magen. Auf der Gamperthunalpe können wir unseren Hunger mit frisch gebackenem Brot und leckerem, selbsthergestelltem Paznauner Almkäse stillen. Zum perfekten Abschluss unserer Almtour empfiehlt der Hüttenwirt einen Abstecher zum nahegelegenen Grübelesee, in dessen glasklarem Wasser sich das imposante Bergpanorama widerspiegelt.

Ein weiteres Kleinod des Pauzaun ist die Seßladalpe bei Kappl. Bergpanorama, leckerer, selbst hergestellter Käse und besonders der Dias-Trail zurück ins Tal machen diese Tpur zum Highlight

Von Galtür zum Piz Buin

Folgt man dem Paznauner Talweg – ganz nebenbei ein lohnenswerter Ausflugstipp, wenn es mal nicht hoch hinaus gehen soll – spürt man, wie sich die Umgebung allmählich verändert. Die umschließenden Berggiganten lassen der nun breiteren Talsohle mehr Raum für ausgedehnte, duftende Wiesen und kleine Weiler. Malerisch am Fuße der wie eine Pyramide aus dem Talgrund aufragenden Gorfenspitze gelegen, markiert die kleine Gemeinde Galtür den Talschluss des Paznaun: Im Nordwesten gelangt man – dies sei als weiterer Tourentipp erwähnt – zum Kops-Stausee und schließlich zur Heilbronner Hütte, welche mit ihrer traumhaften Lage direkt am Übergang ins Verwall ein tolles Ausflugsziel darstellt. Heute schlagen wir jedoch die Route zur Bielerhöhe und dem Silvretta-Stausee ein. Unser Ziel ist die Wiesbadener Hütte. Parallel zur Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße verläuft der Radweg zunächst bis zur Staumauer des Silvretta-Stausees, die zugleich die Grenze zum benachbarten Bundesland Vorarlberg bildet. Bereits hier bietet sich ein faszinierender Blick auf von Eis und Schnee bedeckte Gipfel. Dem Ufer des Sees folgend öffnet sich dieser noch weiter und gibt ein sagenhaftes Panorama auf die Gletscherfelder von Silvrettahorn und schließlich dem markanten Piz Buin frei. Zahllose Alpinisten zieht der imposante Gipfel ungebrochen in seinen Bann. 900 Höhenmeter und 18 Kilometer haben wir in den Beinen, als wir die imposant gelegene Wiesbadener Hütte erreichen – eine perfekte Halbtagestour oder entspannte E-Bike Runde mit anschließender uriger Einkehr. Die Paznauner Kaspressknödel kann ich übrigens wärmstens empfehlen.

Touren-Guide Ischgl – mit Gondel und E-MTB

Wenn sich die Götter einen Pumptrack gebaut hätten, er sähe genau so aus. Ein Superlativ aus Fels, Geröll und Sand. Fassungslos stehen wir an der Greitspitze auf fast 3000 Metern Höhe und starren auf dieses Filetstück von Singletrail, das sich auf schmalem Grat kilometerlang vor uns aufrollt. Und hätte uns nicht die Gondel und ein voller Akku ins Dachgeschoss der Silvretta gehievt, wir hätten diese Perle wohl nie entdeckt.

Mit der Gondel in den ersten Stock, um dann fit und mit frischem Akku bis in die Penthouse-Lagen der Silvretta-Gruppe zu klettern. Dass dieses Konzept Zukunft hat und zudem die Lift-Infrastruktur im Sommer auslastet, haben die Ischgler schon in der 90ern begriffen. Sie schufen damit den Prototypen aller alpinen Bikeparks.

Die Gondel als Aufstiegshilfe – das war eine Revolution. Und so machte auch ich mich mit meiner Münchner Bike-Clique im August 1995 auf nach Ischgl. Lautlos hochschweben und dann 2000 Höhenmeter Abfahrt genießen – das war für uns Downhillfans wie ein Schlaraffenland. Der Begriff "Flow" war allerdings noch nicht geboren. Also rumpelten wir mit knappen Federwegen in der Falllinie die Skipiste zur Idalpe hinunter.

"Hochgondeln, runtergeigen – die Seilbahn eröffnet neue Dimensionen", titelte ich damals in einem Artikel, den ich als Gastautor für das Ischgl-Magazin schreiben durfte. Seitdem ist viel passiert rund um das Biken im "Ibiza der Alpen". Dabei wurde nicht mit Superlativen gegeizt. Man erfand den Ischgl Ironbike, den Marathon mit dem höchsten Preisgeld der Welt. Man holte sich Transalp-Papst Uli Stanciu als Berater, Bike- Legende Hans Rey als Spokesman und die Innsbrucker Vertrider als Trail-Bauer ins Boot. Alles, was im Bike Zirkus Rang und Namen hat, fand sich mehr oder weniger regelmäßig in Ischgl ein.

Doch nicht nur der Promifaktor verhalf dem Ski-Eldorado zu Bekanntheit im Sommer. Auch das Trail-Netz wuchs mit den Jahren auf stattliche 754 Kilometer an. So folgten im Paznaun auf den ersten gebauten Trail, den Velill-Trail, einer ruppigen, gebauten Steilabfahrt mit Sprüngen und Anliegern, weitere 36 ausgeschilderte Bike-Touren. Dazu gedieh eine Bike-Infrastruktur mit speziellen Hotels, Verleihstationen und Shops.

Der göttliche Pumptrack hat uns inzwischen in endlosen Kehren zum Salaaser Kopf geführt, um dort zackig nach links abzubiegen. Bereits auf der Samnauner Seite schweben wir jetzt durch die wilde Schönheit der hochalpinen Silvretta-Gruppe. Kurz vor der Alp Trida dann wieder ein perfekt geshapter Flowtrail, bevor uns der Schotteranstieg zum Viderjoch wieder in den Sattel zurücksinken lässt. Von dort aus carven wir in weiten Radien und mit lockerem Finger an der Bremse den Flimjoch-Singletrail hinunter. Der für Biker gebaute Kurs verläuft direkt neben der Piste, die uns vor fast 25 Jahren das Fürchten lehrte. Es ist wie Nostalgiekino, und der Film spielt sich vor meinen Augen noch mal ab.

Es hat sich viel getan im Ur-Bikepark der Alpen. Deshalb war EMTB-Fotograf und Autor Markus Greber wieder in Ischgl, um die vier schönsten MTB-Touren für E-Mountainbiker auszukundschaften. Das Ergebnis – vier Top-Touren samt Beschreibung und GPS-Daten – finden Sie hier.

Unsere Top-Touren für E-Mountainbiker in Ischgl

Hochalpine Felsen-Trails, sanfte Almwege, knorrige Hütten – diese vier MTB-Touren verbinden sämtliche Highlights der Region rund um Ischgl.

1 Schmugglerpfade

• Distanz 38,8 km
• Bergauf 1230 hm
• Bergab 2569 hm
• Fahrzeit 5:40 h
• Fahrtechnik hoch

Sie ist die Königs-Tour von Ischgl und der Stolz der lokalen Biker-Gemeinde. Kein Wunder, denn in dieser Runde ist wirklich alles drin, was einen erfüllten Touren-Tag beschert: grandiose Ausblicke, Trails in allen Facetten und körperliche Herausforderung.

Mit der Gondel geht’s zunächst zur Idalpe hinauf und weiter mit dem Sessellift aufs Äußere Viderjoch. Erst den letzten, steilen Uphill zur 2871 Meter hohen Greitspitze muss man sich aus eigener Kraft hinaufbeißen. Hier oben balanciert nun ein Bilderbuch-Trail am Grat entlang Richtung Süden. Ein kurzer Anstieg zum Salaaser Kopf, dann fällt der Trail steil bergab und schlängelt sich schließlich den Hang hinunter bis zur Alp Trida.

Auf den letzten 200 Tiefenmetern haben passionierte Mountainbiker Hand angelegt und einen perfekten Flowtrail mit Anliegern und Sprüngen in die Landschaft gezaubert. Nach gut 400 Höhenmetern Aufstieg auf Schotter erreicht man schließlich noch mal das Viderjoch und stürzt sich direkt in den gebauten Fels-Trail Flimjoch, der sich steil in endlosen, teils rutschigen Serpentinen zur Idalpe schlängelt.

Wer mit seinen Ressourcen gut haushalten konnte, schafft es nun mit dem ersten Akku gerade noch mal zum Viderjoch hinauf, bevor es in das große Finale dieser Super-Tour geht: den steil in den Fels gezimmerten Velill-Trail.

2 Paznauner Hütten-Loop

• Distanz 30,9 km
• Bergauf 1196 hm
• Fahrzeit netto 5 h
• Fahrtechnik leicht
• Akku 1 x 500 Wh

Es müssen ja nicht immer fahrtechnisch fordernde Trails sein. Manchmal ist es auch ganz schön, wenn man sich nicht ständig auf den Untergrund konzentrieren muss, sondern den Blick auch mal schweifen lassen kann. So wie auf dieser Runde, die auf leichten Schotterwegen von Hütte zu Hütte spaziert und dabei weite Panoramen in die Silvretta- Gruppe freigibt.

Von Ischgl geht’s anfangs taleinwärts auf flachen Wald- und Schotterwegen. Nach knapp acht Kilometern biegt man scharf links ab ins einsame Lareintal. Wer nach knapp 500 Höhenmetern schon Hunger verspürt, kann sich auf der Lareinalm mit selbst gemachten Spezialitäten stärken, bevor es in steilem Sinkflug auf Schotter und kurzen Trail-Abschnitten gen Talboden geht.

So ist man auch bestens gewappnet für die 15 Schotterkehren, die sich anschließend auf der anderen Talseite zur Friedrichshafener Hütte hinaufziehen. Eingebettet am Fuße der Verwall-Gruppe und mit Weitblicken auf die Silvretta wartet die Hütte mit sehr guter Speisekarte und sogar einem kleinen Badeteich zur Abkühlung auf.

Wer bergab nicht auf gleichem Weg hinunterrollen will, kann zwischen den Schotterkehren auf die Trail-Shortcuts abzweigen. Doch Vorsicht: Hier geht’s steil und fahrtechnisch recht anspruchsvoll zur Sache!

3 Zur Durrichalpe

• Distanz 37,5 km
• Bergauf 1320 hm
• Bergab 1337 hm
• Fahrzeit 5:10 h
• Fahrtechnik mittel
• Kondition mittel

Auf der Durrichalpe, hoch über Kappl, scheint die Zeit stehen geblieben zu sein. Knorrige, vom Wetter gegerbte Almhütten sonnen sich hier auf einer Bergwiese knapp oberhalb der Baumgrenze. Eine Kulisse, in der man sofort einen Heidi-Film drehen möchte. Seine Brotzeit muss man allerdings selbst mitbringen, denn die Alm ist nicht bewirtschaftet.

Von Ischgl aus rollt man zunächst talauswärts bis nach Kappl. Dort biegt die Route auf eine Forststraße ab, der man fünf Kilometer lang teils stramm bergauf durch den Wald folgt. Irgendwann streift der Weg die letzten Bäume ab und mündet in eine wunderschöne Hochmoorlandschaft. Jetzt sind es nur noch wenige Kurbelumdrehungen bis zur 1900 Meter hoch gelegenen Durrichalpe.

So weit zum Thema Idylle. Fahrtechnisch interessant wird es nun auf dem zweiten Teil der Tour: Von der Durrichalpe rollt man wieder zurück zum Hauptweg, schlägt dort aber den Weg Richtung Gasthof Dias ein. Kurz nach der Hütte startet der Dias-Trail, das Singletrail-Highlight von Kappl.

Handtuchbreit schlängelt sich der Pfad erst durch dichten Märchenwald und dann über bucklige Wiesen zurück nach Kappl (Achtung, Wanderer haben Vorrang!). Danach geht’s auf Asphalt- und Schotterwegen im leichten Auf und Ab zurück nach Ischgl.

4 Heidelberger Hütte

• Distanz 32 km
• Bergauf 585 hm
• Bergab 1490 hm
• Fahrzeit ca. 3 h

Für Alpenüberquerer ist die Heidelberger Hütte seit Jahrzehnten ein Muss. Wer hier auf seinem Weg gen Süden nicht übernachtet, der bleibt zumindest auf eine Knödelsuppe, bevor es weiter in den Anstieg zum legendären Fimberpass geht.

Aber man kann die Hütte natürlich auch auf einem spannenden Tagestrip besuchen. Dafür könnte man nun von Ischgl ganz einfach die 13 Kilometer auf Asphalt und Schotter das Fimbatal zur Hütte hinaufklettern und auf gleichem Weg wieder hinunterrollen, fertig.

Aber – und das wissen wohl die wenigsten – man kann die Tour zur Heidelberger Hütte auch mit feinsten Singletrails garnieren: Um auf der Tour mit nur einem Akku klarzukommen, lässt man sich am besten mit der Silvrettabahn auf die 2307 Meter hoch gelegene Idalpe heben.

Dort beginnt auch gleich der Trail-Spaß auf angelegten Flowtrails durch die Almwiesen. Anschließend kämpft man sich eine ultra-steile Uphill-Rampe zum Sassgalunkopf hinauf und fädelt oben in eine schmale, technisch anspruchsvolle Trail-Abfahrt ein. Sie mündet auf halber Höhe ins Fimbatal, wo jetzt nur noch leicht zu kurbelnde 500 Höhenmeter hoch zur Heidelberger Hütte warten. Zurück geht es das Fimbatal hinunter. Wer möchte, kann die Abfahrt aber kurz vor Ischgl noch mit kurzen Trail-Abstechern würzen.

Revier-Infos Ischgl

Revier Ischgl liegt auf 1377 Metern Höhe im Paznaun in Tirol. Eingebettet zwischen den Dreitausendern von Silvretta-, Samnaun- und Verwall-Gruppe ergeben sich von hier aus reichlich Touren- Möglichkeiten. Von leichten Schotterrunden im Tal über gemütliche Almen-Touren bis hin zum hochalpinen Trail-Abenteuer am Grat entlang ist alles möglich. Das für Biker ausgeschilderte Streckennetz umfasst 754 Kilometer, darunter auch sieben Trails.

Anreise per Bahn Wer nicht mit dem Auto anreisen möchte, fährt mit der Bahn bis zur Haltestelle Landeck-Zams und steigt dort in den Linienbus 260 Richtung Paznaun. Die Busfahrt nach Ischgl dauert ca. eine Stunde. Die Oberpaznauner Runde . Sie führt über Rad- und Bikewege vorbei an Almen bis hinauf nach Galtür, ist nicht allzu schwer, aber doch mit einigen Höhenmetern verbunden. Das entspannt und gibt gleichzeitig neue Energie.

The tour with the greatest adrenaline rush:

No competition: The Fimberpass Trail. This tour extends from Engadine via Samnaun and back to Ischgl. From the 2,608-metre-high Fimberpass, this nature trail winds through a surreal-looking high Alpine world. Stone passages, boulders and roots demand full concentration, which is a total adrenalin rush!

Top level thrills for mountain bikers in Paznaun:

The Verwallrunde circuit trail. This trail first leads up to Galtür, then via the Zeinisjoch to the Heilbronner mountain hut. It continues through the Schönverwall area to the Stanzertal valley toward Strengen and over Glit/Langesthei back to Ischgl. All in all, the route is approx. 100 kilometres long! Those who make manage the journey have ample reason to be proud!

Bike paradise

The right bike tour for every level.

Mountain bikers of all skill levels will feel at home on the “classic tours”. For the connoisseur as well as the racers – everyone will find their dream tour in Ischgl. These mountain bike tours offer a high proportion of forest roads uphill and downhill, but also one or the other easy single trail is just waiting to be discovered. For the ascent also cable cars can be used.

Enduro Tours

The “Enduro tours” have enough challenges in store for riders who are fit and technically advanced. These mountain bike tours are very varied and combine fun on the trail while enjoying the landscape to create an unforgettable mountain experience. Some cable cars are also optionally integrated into the tour planning – this means that you can use all your power going downhill.

Big Mountain – challenging MTB tours

Finally, the “Big Mountain” tours are the most demanding top class of mountain bike tours in the Silvretta. They offer large, wide, high-alpine tours with and without cable car support, sometimes consisting of several cleverly combined Enduro tours. The focus here is on maximum trail and landscape enjoyment. A high proportion of single trails is just as important as as many meters of altitude uphill as downhill.
