A Guide To: Vanishing Journey

Vanishing Journey is an area in the Arcane River area.

In the Arcane River area you will deal a certain percentage of your damage to mobs, and even less damage when one is not equipped.

The higher level of the Arcane Symbol, the more damage you will do.

There are 23 Quests to be completed.

There are 11 that involve actual killing and the rest are just going to NPC's to speak.

• Arcane Symbol.

• New grind area.

• More dailies.

• Fun Story.

Requirements:

• Be Level 200.

• Complete 5th Job Advancement.

Every monster you encounter in this section will be Auto Aggressive. There are very few, if any safe spots.

So if you arent that funded make sure to be prepared with plenty of potions.

A Greater Power

You are required to butcher 10 Happy Erdas.

HP: 77,376,000

EXP: 164,514

You'll be barely tickling them not because they have a lot of HP but because you require Arcane Force of which you will get later on.

Gathering Scattered Memories (1)

Once you've returned to the quest giver he will ask you to collect 30 Happy Memories from Happy Erdas.

Gathering Scattered Memories (2)

This time you need to obtain 50 Raging Memories from Raging Erdas.

Gathering Scattered Memories (3)

This time you will need to collect 70 Sad Memories from Sad Erdas.

HP: 82,318,080

EXP: 173,502

Gathering Scattered Memories (4)

Next, you will need to collect 90 Joyful Memories from Jouful Erdas.

Taming The Flame (1)

Next, after you've crossed the lake you will need to cross the bridge. But before you can do that you will need to collect 40 Solid Claws from Stone Erdas.

Taming The Flame (2)

You will need to collect 60 Sticky Oils from Blazing Erdas.

EXP: 187,770

Taming The Flame (3)

You will need to collect 80 Hard Shells from Soulful Erdas.

The Solution is Dissolution (1)

Now you have crossed the bridge, you will be required to collect 50 Tranquil Solvents from Tranquil Erdas.

HP: 95,366,960

EXP: 197,664

Tranquil Erdas, once killed turn into Lantern Erdas.

HP: 98,056,400

EXP: 202,422

The Solution is Dissolution (2) & (3)

These 2 quests are exactly the same. You will need to collect Tranquil Solvents again for both.

(2) Requires 70 Solvents

(3) Requires 90 Solvents

You will still get the solvents from Tranquil Erdas.

Defeat Arma

Last killing quest. You will need to go to the very last map and Massacre Arma who is a boss.

HP: 504,472,800

EXP: 1,036,020

Now all you need to do is finish the last quest with Kao and jump down the waterfall once you are level 210 for ChuChu Island.

I've purposely left out the quests that just involve talking to an NPC.

Vanishing Journey Dailies

How to get Arcane Symbols

Once you have completed the questline there will be a NPC on the left called Rona.

There are 6 Daily quests that will be reset at midnight.

The quests are either Killing 200 Mobs or Collecting items.

There is a quest that will be a [Deliver] type. You will need to collect 30 items and deliver them to a NPC called "Researcher Jenna in a certain area.

If your quest is based in the Lake of Oblivion, Jenna will be located in this map:

If your quest to deliver is in the Extinction Zone, Jenna will be located in this map:

If your deliver quest is in the Lying in Repose area, Jenna will be located in this map:

Once you've done 5 Quests the 6th quest will be completed too.

At the end of the dailies you should recieve 8 Arcane Symbols a day.

Mobs will start dropping Arcane Symbols. They arent a very common drop so you will have to grind for them.

Vanishing Journey, known as Vanishing River, is the first area of the Arcane River created by the Black Mage in the Gate Of Present in Temple of Time. To enter this area, you need to advance to 5th Job via the 5th Job Advancement Quest. To find out more about 5th Job Advancement, check out other links.

Map Layout [ edit ]

There are 3 main areas in Vanishing Journey.

• Lake Of Oblivion : Town of Vanishing Journey. The village for all Erdas who desire to have memories back and a branch of the lake with Erda monsters. Monster ranges from Level 200 to 203 .
• Mirage Hill : A burning, cliff area of Erdas with shape. Recommended level: 204-207.
• Skyline : The cave where the boss monster of this area resides and the pathway to the next island. Monster ranges from Level 207 to 210 . Beware of falling objects! Recommended level: 207-210.

Weekly Quests [ edit ]

In Vanishing Journey, you can accept 5 weekly quests (resets Monday 12am) from Rona, which will all be given at the same time. You can choose to change up to 5 quests once to randomly get other quests before attempting the quests. All Quests reward 1 Arcane Symbol upon completion. Bolded quests stands for easy quests , highlighted quests in red stands for time-consuming quests and if it is neither bolded or italicised, it is not as easy but not as time-consuming. Note: Monster names and items listed below may be incorrect.

Talk to Mona to complete the quests unless it is a special delivery.

Damage Skin

• View history

A Damage Skin is a visual effect that displays the damage given from the player to inflicted enemies, players start with the Basic Damage Skin and can obtain other damage skins.

Storing a Damage Skin requires you to equip said Damage Skin and store it in the Character Info UI right after.

A Unit Damage Skin displays a shortened number when hitting enemies; for example, it will show 1.2M instead of 1200000 (1,200,000).
