Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Virtual Tour

Are you considering rpi take a virtual tour of the campus below..

A visit to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is ideal, but virtual tours can act to refresh your memory or as a preview for your on-site tour.

What's in it for me?

Inevitably, on-campus tours of classrooms, libraries, dorms, and dining halls will start to blend. Jog your memory using the virtual tour and even explore the area surrounding the campus using the interactive mapping tool. If you're just beginning your college search, a virtual tour can be a great way to get a feel for a campus before your visit. Remember, when you do go, be sure to ask current students about their college life. A student perspective can be the most helpful way to gauge your future experience at RPI.

Use the resources below to start your virtual tour.

Using the Map

Click and drag the little orange person to a location on the map. Locations with panoramas appear as blue lines or blue dots when moving the orange person. The blue dots are panoramic views that you may swivel. The blue lines are paths that you can navigate along.

Panoramic View

You can "pan" or "swivel" the camera around by clicking on the image and dragging your mouse or finger. If you see a white arrow on the picture, you can click or tap on it to move in the direction of the arrow. This will also update the location of the little orange person on the map so you can get a better sense of where you are and what direction you are facing.

Your chance of acceptance, your chancing factors, extracurriculars, experience with rpi's virtual tour.

Hey, has anyone here tried the RPI virtual tour? I'm not able to visit the campus in person, so I'm curious if the virtual tour is realistic and worthwhile. What did you guys think, and did it help you get a better feel of the campus and its atmosphere?

I've heard from many students who have taken RPI's virtual tour, and it seems to be quite helpful for getting a sense of the campus layout and the overall appearance of the buildings and grounds. It's certainly better than not having any visual context at all. However, it's important to remember that a virtual tour can't fully replicate the experience of an in-person visit or convey the campus atmosphere in the same way.

While the virtual tour might give you a general idea of the facilities, you may not get a complete sense of the social scene, student life, and academic environment. One way to supplement the virtual tour is to reach out to current students or alumni via social media or online forums—they can give you a more comprehensive idea of what living and studying at RPI is like.

Another option is to attend virtual info sessions or Q&A events hosted by the university—this can provide additional perspectives and insights from admissions officers, professors, or current students. Ultimately, while a virtual tour can be helpful for getting an initial impression, it's essential to gather additional information from various sources to make a well-informed decision about whether RPI is the right fit for you.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Transfers: 2024 Requirements, Dates, GPAs & More

How effective are rensselaer polytechnic institute virtual tours.

It depends how you use them. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is a hustling, bustling campus and community. The beauty of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute virtual tours on CampusReel is that authentic video tours, made by real students, can be spectacular at capturing the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute vibe. We also go well beyond the confines of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute campus by taking you around Troy. In traditional virtual tours, you will mostly see still, unengaging images and will not see the surrounding area at all – which is why CampusReel virtual tours are so important.

Can a Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute virtual tour replace a traditional in-person visit?

If you cannot visit Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in person, then we can honestly say that we believe a CampusReel virtual tour of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is absolutely the most effective and holistic way to understand the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute people, campus and community. However, if you do plan on visiting Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and other colleges in person, we strongly recommend that you at least prescreen your college options on CampusReel before spending the time and money to visit. Most prospective families find that as soon as the step on campus, they instantly know whether or not they like the school – but they’ve already spent all that time and money getting there! Our goal is to eliminate all the time and money visiting Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in person until you can make a strong educated guess that it’s worth the investment.

What are the downsides of a Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute virtual tour?

The downside of virtually touring Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on CampusReel is that, admittedly, our technology does not yet mimic the exact feeling and experience of visiting Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in person. We are working on this though! A common request we also receive from users is to add more perspectives (e.g. student guides) to the platform. Rest assured we are working on adding more CampusReel guides to the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute virtual tour. However, our selection of guides still far outweighs the available perspectives of traditional virtual tour platforms.

What are the benefits of a Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute virtual tour?

The most obvious benefit of a Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute virtual tour on CampusReel is that is can be accessed from anywhere. This can save families a lot of time and money compared to visiting Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in person . Another often overlooked benefit of a CampusReel virtual tour is that it goes far beyond a traditional in person tour Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute . Campus visits are limited both in time and scope – how are you expected to truly understand a college in a 1 hour tour? That’s why we stress the added benefit of CampusReel virtual tours – experience Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Troy during different seasons, days of the week, and even hours of the day. What’s game day like? What is finals week life? Again, traditional virtual touring platforms don’t include this benefit.

Moscow City Center, Kremlin

The treasury of our Moscow panoramas is gradually increasing.

We have already been shooting aerial panoramas for 6 years. During this period of time we shot many interesting cities of the world: New York, Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur, Sidney, Miami, Las Vegas, Rio de Janeiro, Dubai, Los Angeles and many others. However, we didn't succeed in shooting Moscow, the city we live in, though we did our best. The case is the flights over Moscow are forbidden except those of Russian Federation Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergency Response and Russian police. Taking in consideration these administrative restrictions we applied our creativity and resolved this problem by the following:

1) We made a virtual tour over Moscow Encircling Highway :  MEH and Interchanges

2) Yauza, Ramenki, Southern Port

3) In May 2010 near the Crocus-City the first in the world 1 gig pixel panorama was shot from the helicopter. It shows the Kremlin, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Novodevichiy Convent, the TV Tower of Ostankino and many other places of interest.

4) This sphere shot from the height of 1000 m which shows most part of Moscow and regions.

5) Last spring we have shot the panorama of Novodevichiy Convent

6) We have done a virtual tour over Moscow State University

7) Earlier this year we have done a fabulous panoramas of Moscow City business center

8) One of Moscow City panoramas has been converted into stereo format

9) We have created a  giga pixel panorama of the center of Moscow

Also it is worth to view one of the photos by Sergey Semenov devoted to the rehearsal of the Victory Parade of May 9.

It had success on the exhibition  World Seen by the Russians  held in Moscow, on Tverskoy Boulevard in May-June 2011.

And now we would like to introduce a virtual tour around Moscow Kremlin.

Moscow city 360-degree virtual reality tour.

Take the virtual tour of the kremlin, moscow river, saint basil’s cathedral and red square.

The Moscow Kremlin  usually referred to as the Kremlin, is a fortified complex at the heart of Moscow, overlooking the Moskva River to the south, Saint Basil’s Cathedral and Red Square to the east, and the Alexander Garden to the west.

It is the best known of the Kremlins (Russian citadels) and includes five palaces, four cathedrals, and the enclosing Kremlin Wall with Kremlin towers. Also within this complex is the Grand Kremlin Palace. The complex serves as the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation.

The name “Kremlin” means “fortress inside a city”, and is often also used metonymically to refer to the government of the Russian Federation in a similar sense to how “White House” is used to refer to the Executive Office of the President of the United States. It had previously been used to refer to the government of the Soviet Union (1922–1991) and its highest members (such as general secretaries, premiers, presidents, ministers, and commissars). The term “Kremlinology” refers to the study of Soviet and Russian politics.

All of Moscow’s main streets start at  Red Square , so it’s easy to see why this is considered the heart of the city. A massive space of 330 meters by 70 meters, the square is flanked by the Kremlin, Lenin’s Mausoleum, two cathedrals, and the State Historical Museum. In 1945, a massive Victory Parade was held here to celebrate the defeat of Nazi Germany by the Soviet Armed Forces.

St. Basil’s Cathedral , one of the most recognizable buildings on the square, was built in 1555. The unique cathedral has architectural details inspired by Byzantine and Asian designs, as well as details that resemble those found in famous mosques. There are nine individual chapels inside the church, all decorated with colourful mural art.

Yuri Gagarin Is the First Man in Space. Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin was a Soviet pilot and cosmonaut. He was the first human to journey into outer space, when his Vostok spacecraft completed an orbit of the Earth on 12 April 1961

“Not only will the clinic serve the health care needs of students, but it will also serve as a center for learning for future medical practitioners who will then go on to meet the needs of Idaho through their professional careers,” said Blaine Eckles, vice provost for student affairs and dean of students. “Students will receive this top-notch health support and education from medical professionals who are teaching in the WWAMI program and who will continue their efforts of keeping students at the forefront of the Vandal experience.”

The Vandal Health Clinic will continue to provide the same standard of primary care services to students to which they are accustomed. Students have the opportunity to assist in the education of Idaho WWAMI medical students, allowing them to lead the appointment under the supervision of physician faculty, or be seen by other primary care providers in the clinic.

“The Vandal Health Clinic will serve as a pivotal cornerstone for the University of Idaho’s medical education, providing an invaluable clinical teaching space for students,” said Jeff Seegmiller, regional dean and director of Idaho WWAMI. “As it materializes, it will not only elevate the caliber of our WWAMI program but will also lay the groundwork for future health profession endeavors, ensuring a vibrant legacy of excellence in health care education for years ahead.”

Anyone interested in applying for a position at the clinic may visit the University of Idaho job portal .
