From 1977, P&O Cruises was owned by the British shipping company P&O, but since 2003 the line has been owned by Carnival Corporation & plc, who also own Carnival Cruises and Costa Cruises!

P&O Cruises departing from Southampton do so from the Ocean Cruise Terminal, which is located through Dock Gate 4.

Despite the similarities in their names, the two companies are entirely separate from each other – P&O Ferries is owned by DP World and is in no way related to the cruise line.

Sometimes referred to as Celebration Nights by the line, the number of black-tie nights over the course of your cruise depends on the number of nights you’ll be at sea.

Generally, you should expect one black-tie night on a 7-night cruise and between two and four on cruises of 9-14 nights. Travelling even longer? We’d recommend packing accordingly since there’s likely to be one black tie night every 7 nights.

P&O Cruises offer three different price types, all of which include accommodation; dining in the main restaurants, buffet, and pool-side venues; day-to-night entertainment; swimming pools; children’s clubs; flights and transfers on fly-cruise holidays and a host of other incredible amenities and benefits.
