Our double kayaks fit 2 adults and, if desired, a small child. It’s up to you if you prefer to share a kayak or each person gets to paddle his / her own kayak.

Yes, we have life jackets in small sizes for children.

Kayaking basically consists of you sitting comfortably in the kayak and using the paddle with small, efficient movements. Learning the right paddling technique takes about 1 minute and of course we can explain it to you upfront. Kayaking is such a beautiful way to connect to nature, give it a try!

Most people who get seasick on boats don’t get seasick from kayaking, as you’re much to the water, so you’re not rocking on the waves like a boat (which usually triggers the feeling). Fun fact: Did you know that when you’re seasick on a boat and you hop into the water or wet your head, you usually stop feeling seasick? The closer you’re to the water, the less you should feel seasick.

We may cancel the tour due a bad weather conditions or adverse sea conditions that can make it unsafe. In that event, we offer to reschedule the tour to a different day or if the participant cannot join on another day, we will give a full refund.

The pick up is done in the areas of Paguera, Cala Fornells, Santa Ponsa, Calvia villa, Magaluf, Cala Vinyes, Palmanova, Son Caliu, Illetas, Cas Catalá, Portals Nous, Cala Mayor and Porto Pi. If you are staying in private accommodation, you can go directly to the Sailing Club or go to the nearest hotel for pick up.

Free cancellation! You can cancel this tour and you will receive 100% refund of the amount paid if you cancel more than 48 hours in advance. After this time, or in case of no show, no refunds will be given.

Tour itinerary

Pick up at your accommodation.

Between 9:15 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. we will pick you up at your accommodation to transfer to the dive centre. If you want to go on your own, we will meet there directly at 10:00 a.m. . Once the group is reunited, we will prepare and receive all the pertinent explanations from the guide who will accompany us during the kayak trip.

Departure from the Santa Ponsa Sailing Club

We'll leave the Sailing Club around 10:30 a.m. for the Malgrats Islands . Get ready to row and visit some of the most beautiful and interesting spots on the Island of Mallorca.

Kayak excursion

During two hours and together with a professional guide who will explain everything to us as we go, we will travel along the Majorcan coast on board of our kayak. We will navigate through some caves and reach a natural pool where we can take a dip to rest. There is nothing better than doing sport in the open air while having fun.

Return to the dive centre

It's time for the last effort to return to the dive center. Take this opportunity to enjoy the paradisiacal landscape the sea leaves us in this area because if something characterizes the Balearic Islands among many other things, is the beauty of its sea.

End of the excursion

We will arrive at the dive center around 1:30 p.m., where we can use the free hot water showers . You can also take the opportunity to have a drink on the terrace of the Nautical Club with the rest of the group. When we are ready, we will take you back to your accommodation. A morning well spent and the whole afternoon ahead to continue enjoying your trip in Mallorca.

The Wild North Coast tour is a perfect route for those who want to make a sea kayak trip to one of the most remote and distant places of the island civilization, where we will sail in a closed kayak adapted for longer routes.

ATTENTION! This tour is designed for people with experience in sea kayaking or practicing sport weekly.

The sea kayaking tour requires a medium-high basic level, as participants will move at a faster kayak and less stable than in our excursions with sit on top  canoes, a trip only suitable for more or less sporty people or kayakers.

This kayak tour begins with an explanation of the main techniques to handle a sea kayak and canoe rescue techniques.

During the tour, we will leave with our kayak the spectacular bay of Cala Sant Vicenç , away to the wildest corners of the area, sailing between reefs, under impressive cliffs over 300 meters, hidden water caves…

We will give back the  Cavall Bernat , to reach the fantastic virgin beach of Cala Bóquer , a unique corner that hides thousands of secrets. Among them, the Blue Cave or Bufador of Bóquer , magnificent hidden among the rocks surrounding the cove and which can only be accessed from the sea. If sea conditions allow us, we will venture to discover this amazing cave.

Once reached the farthest point of the tour, we will return to the starting point in deep water, gazing at the panoramic views of the most spectacular places of Serra de Tramuntana . In fact, we will become the most sought objective for any camera from the viewpoint of Formentor .

During the tour

• Our kayak guide, who knows the area and friendly service, will guarantee us a safe, enriching and fun tour, and will explain the most important aspects of the places visited.
• We will sail through the most turquoise and crystal clear waters of Mallorca, exploring spectacular landscapes and hidden corners.
• We will cross all the mountains of Cavall Bernat until leaving the bay of Cala Sant Vicenç , sailing under giant cliffs, reefs and mysterious aquatic caves.
• We will give back by the Punta de la Salada and Punta Troneta , behind which they hide, still, many more surprises.
• We will visit the Blue Cave or Bufador of Bóquer , a large aquatic cavity that reflecys blue tones under the sea and allows us to swim inside.

Malgrats Islands Kayak Tour from Santa Ponsa

What to expect.

Discover the Malgrats Islands Marine Reserve by kayak and admire the incredible coast of Mallorca from a different and unique perspective. Declared a Marine Reserve in 2004, the Malgrats Islands are two islets located in the Bay of Santa Ponsa, with great and growing marine biodiversity.

Departing from our dive centre in the Club Náutico de Santa Ponsa and after the previous explanations, we will go to the Malgrat’s Islands sailing along the coast by kayak . Once on the islands, we will visit the most interesting spots such as the caves and the natural pool where we will have a swim and rest. You will be able to dive into the crystal clear water and enjoy the spectacular underwater world below . You will see many species of fish passing through the area, as well as octopuses and a variety of marine plants.

At around 12.30 pm we will sail back to our centre where we can shower and have a drink on our terrace.

How is the tour organised?

The tour always takes into account the physical condition of the participants , their particular level and the sea and weather conditions.

10:00 We meet in our diving centre to prepare ourselves and receive all the previous explanations from the guide.

10:30 We leave from our centre in the Santa Ponsa Sailing Club towards the Malgrats Islands. There we will sail along the coast and between the islands to visit the most interesting points, such as the caves and the natural pool, where we will have a bath and rest.

12:30 We sail back to our centre.

13:30 We arrive at the centre, where we can take a shower and have a drink on our terrace.

The pick-up is included from two people onwards in the area of the municipality of Calvià . Let us know where you are staying so we can confirm your pick-up.
