Tickets are $20 presale and $25 from December 1 – 14. The 2014 Tour will feature five distinctive homes in Waters of Avalon, Riverstone and Sienna Plantation beautifully decorated for the holidays with the help of professional decorators and designers. Tour guests will be treated to a rare glimpse of these lovely homes, and will enjoy festive entertainment, beautiful holiday decorations, tasty home-made cookies and refreshments. The event runs Friday and Saturday from 10am until 4pm with a special candlelight tour on Friday night from 6pm to 9pm. One ticket provides admission to all five homes and can be used at any time during the tour. The map to the homes is on the back of the ticket.

Child Advocates of Fort Bend Board Members, homeowners, committee and sponsors are gearing up for the 2014 casa Christmas Home tour December 12 + 13. Underwriter for the 2014 Christmas Home Tour is Fred and Mabel R. Parks Foundation. Presenting sponsor is National Oilwell Varco.

“We try to do something new every year and we are really excited to announce this year’s wreath raffle as we think it will be a fantastic addition to the Tour,” stated Lisa Moore, Events Specialist for Child Advocates of Fort Bend (CAFB). Each of our talented Christmas decorators has generously created a beautiful wreath which will be placed in the home that they decorated. Guests can purchase raffle tickets at the homes for a chance to win the wreaths.

The Christmas Home Tour is one of Child Advocates of Fort Bend’s largest fundraisers. There is no easier way to help abused and neglected children than by purchasing a home tour ticket. Tickets make great gifts for family, friends and co-workers. For more information on the Tour or to purchase a ticket, log onto www.cafb.org or contact Lisa Moore at 281-344-5108.

The Tour Underwriter is Fred and Mabel R. Parks Foundation. National Oilwell Varco has joined as an Archangel presenting sponsor. Sponsorship opportunities from $100 – $10,000 are still available. CASA Christmas Home Tour

Don't look far for holiday decor ideas. CASA's Homes for the Holidays is the perfect inspiration.

Portrait of Brianna Childers

Topekans won't need to look far for their holiday decorating inspiration.

CASA's annual Homes for the Holidays tour is back this year and features three homes that will be dressed to the nines in holiday decor.

Tickets are now on sale for this year's homes tour which takes place 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 20-21.

The patron party preview event takes place 6:30-10 p.m. Nov. 19 followed by a party at the Topeka Country Club. Tickets for the patron party are $100.

Tickets for the homes tour are $15 in advance and $20 at the door and can be purchased at Topeka's Hy-Vee, Porterfield's Flowers and Gifts, Red Door Home Store, Blooms on Boswell and Linen Tree and Co.

Guests can also visit casaofshawneecounty.com or call the CASA office at 785-215-8282 for tickets.

The three homes on this year's tour are owned by Tony and Judy Pleviak, Matt and Sara Vincent, and Robert and Kristen White.

The Pleviak home, 1134 S.W. Camden Lane, will be decorated by Blooms on Boswell. The Vincent home, 1501 S.W. Westover Road, will be decorated by Porterfield's.

Kristen White will decorate her own home located at 5731 S.W. Clarion Lakes Way. Sweet Treats Bakery will be onsite at the White home both days of the tour.

Homes for the Holidays is CASA's signature fundraiser and in the past, the event has brought in $50,000 to $75,000.

Past years have seen 1,000 to 1,300 tickets sold.

According to Denise Stevens, CASA of Shawnee County's executive director, the organization hopes to raise at least $70,000 to $75,000 this year.

Funds raised during the event go toward recruiting and training volunteers who serve as advocates for children in the court and foster care systems.

"Currently, there are around 700 Shawnee County kids in out-of-home care," Stevens said. "CASA of Shawnee County is providing advocacy services for only about one-fourth of those children."

Stevens said she hopes attendees enjoy seeing how the designers have decorated the homes.

"And to get in the spirit of the season because this is when all the holiday stuff starts," Stevens said. "(Patrons) go to see what the designers have done and get ideas."

Casa christmas home tour showcases riverstone home.

casa christmas home tour 2022

The CASA Christmas Home Tour is back, bringing inspiration, good cheer and a beautifully decorated Riverstone home.

This is the 31 st year for the home tour which features some of the most lavishly decorated homes in Fort Bend County. Tours will take place from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9 and 10. An evening tour is scheduled from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 9. Tickets are $30 per person. A special ticket and wreath raffle bundle are available for $60. The bundle includes one ticket plus three wreath raffle tickets. Holiday t-shirts  are also available

This year’s tour will feature homes extravagantly decorated by professional interior designers and florists. Guests will be greeted at the front door by volunteer hosts who will direct them along a pre-arranged route through the home. Festive entertainment and homemade holiday treats will be provided. In addition to the gorgeous home in Riverstone, ticket holders will be able to tour homes in our sister community of Imperial as well as the Fort Bend communities of Aliana and First Colony.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is an arm of Child Advocates of Fort Bend, a nonprofit agency serving child victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse and neglect. A CASA volunteer is assigned to every child in CPS custody in Fort Bend County — an accomplishment very few counties have achieved.

CASA volunteers provide a voice for children in the courts. They regularly meet with their charges as well as with their teachers, doctors, foster and biological family and others in the child’s life to assess their medical, educational, physical and emotional health and needs. Their written findings are presented to a judge at every court hearing.

The program serves approximately 250 to 300 children annually.

The home tour is one of the organization’s biggest fundraisers, attracting more than 2,000 guests per year. Tickets can be purchased  online . Ninety-four percent of the proceeds go directly toward providing services for abused and neglected children.

Holiday home tour raises money for CASA

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A holiday tour of three beautifully decorated homes this weekend is benefitting CASA of Shawnee County.

CASA’s 35th annual Homes for the Holidays tour will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20 in Topeka. It includes a tour of three homes decorated by local florists and designers for the holidays.

The designers include Porterfield’s Flowers and Gifts, Blooms on Boswell, and Linen Tree & Co. Tickets are $20 in advance at those three locations as well as Hy-Vee and Red Door Home Store in Fairlawn Plaza. They can also be purchased online or at the door for $25.

Money raised through the fundraiser will benefit CASA, which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children of Shawnee County. The organization is made up of volunteers who advocate for the best interest of children and youth involved in the court system.

According to their website , only about 8% of children in need of care in Shawnee County have an advocate assigned to their case due to a lack of volunteers and funding.

The three homes on the tour are located at 1550 SW Stratford Rd., 1340 SW College Ave., and 3946 SW Canterbury Town Rd.
