Five Finger Death Punch will hit the road for a huge U.S. arena tour in the fall with country rocker Brantley Gilbert . The duo announced the dates for the 20-city outing on Monday (Aug. 15), revealing that it is slated to kick-off on Nov. 9 at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

They’ll be joined by newcomer Corey Marks on the Live Nation-produced tour, which will keep them on the road through a Dec. 17 date at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas. While it’s the first time FFDP and Gilbert will share the stage, it is just the latest cross-genre collaboration between the acts, who teamed up on the 2019 hit “Blue on Black”; the cover of the Kenny Wayne Shepherd track featuring Queen’s Brian May, Shepherd and Gilbert became FFDP’s seventh No.1 on Billboard ‘s Mainstream Rock Songs chart.

Fan club pre-sales for both headliners will kick off at 10 a.m. local time on Tuesday (Aug. 16), with other pre-sales slated to being at 10 a.m. local time on Thursday (Aug. 18); general public tickets will be available beginning 10 a.m. local time on Friday (Aug. 19). FFDP are gearing up to release their ninth studio album, Afterlife , on Friday, the same day they will kick-off a summer tour with Megadeth, The Hu and Fire From the Gods. Maroon 5 have revealed the details for the next leg of their 2022 World Tour dates, produced by Live Nation. Kicking off Saturday, July 30th at Moda Center in Portland, OR, these select dates will hit cities throughout Canada and North America, and conclude on Saturday, August 20 at Centre Bell in Montreal, Quebec. Maroon 5 S.I.N. members have first access to tickets before they go on sale to the general public.

Nyc five boro bike tour 2022: here’s what to know, transit changes, street closures and everything else you'll need to know to navigate the city this sunday..

NEW YORK CITY — Get ready for pedal power to take over New York City’s streets.

More than 30,000 cyclists expected to join the TD Five Boro Bike Tour Sunday morning for a with a 40-mile ride from Battery City, through Manhattan, The Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and finally, Staten Island.

The ride kicks off at 7 a.m. and some traffic closures won't reopen until 7 p.m. that evening, according to the MTA.

Such a critical mass of bicycles requires an vast number of street closures and transit changes. After all, the tour promises riders an unparalleled view of New York City unencumbered by motor vehicles.

“For one day, the roads are yours, the bridges are yours, the City is yours—there’s no better way to experience NYC,” the event’s official website states.

Public Transit

A clear message to Bike Tour cyclists has come from MTA’s leadership: mass transit is the easiest and most sustainable way to the tour.

“Customers who want to take their bike onto the subway need to tap their OMNY-enabled device or swipe their MetroCard while the station agent watches, rotate the turnstile, then enter through the station service gates once they are activated by the agent,” an MTA release states. “For safety’s sake, customers should carry, not roll, bikes down stairs."

Riders who want to take their bikes to the tour’s start near Battery Park are encouraged to use these stations:

• Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall, 4/5/6
• Bowling Green (Bowling Green Park entrance only), 4/5
• Chambers Street, 2/3
• Chambers Street, J
• Chambers Street, A/C
• World Trade Center, E
• Cortlandt Street, R

MTA officials ask cyclists not use the following stations, which are not well-equipped to handle large volumes of bicycles:

• Fulton Street, 2/3/4/5/A/C
• Wall Street, 2/3
• Wall Street, 4/5
• Park Place, 2/3
• Rector Street, R
• Whitehall Street, R

Passengers can click here and check “Current Service Status” for bus routes affected by street closures.

Metro-North and LIRR trains will suspend limits on bicycles and recommend that cyclists use a bungee cord to secure their bike while on the train.

Bridge Closures

The Verrazzano-Narrow Bridge’s lower level headed into Staten Island will be closed until 7 p.m., as will the BQE’s westbound approach to the bridge, MTA officials said.

Other Verrazzano lane closures are, as detailed by the MTA:

• One lower level Brooklyn-bound lane from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• The Bay Street exit from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• The 92nd Street entrance ramp to the Staten Island-bound lower level from approximately 12 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Belt Parkway entrance ramp to the Staten Island-bound Lower Level from approximately 12 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• The Lily Pond Avenue exit from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Robert F. Kennedy Bridge’s southbound FDR Drive ramp will be closed from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., with all traffic headed south required to exit the bridge at East 125th Street, officials said.

The Hugh L. Carey Tunnel’s exit headed west onto the BQE will be closed 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., officials said.

Maroon 5 Expand World Tour With New North American Dates

Maroon 5 are extending their ongoing world tour with 13 additional stops at arenas across North America.

After some scattered dates in the Middle East, as well as California and Canada through May and June, the pop-rock band will officially kick off a North American tour July 30 at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. The new set of dates will stretch through Aug. 20 when Maroon 5 will wrap things up with a performance at Montreal’s Centre Bell Arena.

Tickets for the newly announced dates go on sale via Ticketmaster on Friday, April 29 at 10 a.m. local time.

#TourTips for TD Five Boro Bike Tour First-Timers

The 2022 TD Five Boro Bike Tour is around the corner; who else is giddy with excitement? ! In preparation for Sunday, May 1, we compiled a list of tips and advice from our many TD Five Boro Bike Tour Enthusiasts so that you can make the most out of a glorious day of cycling.

PRE-TOUR PREP

Items to bring with you:

• At least one water bottle. You can refill your bottle at one of the many water stations along the route.
• Form of identification, cash, and/or a credit card. There will be plenty of food and libations to celebrate at the Finish Festival at Empire Outlets in Staten Island!
• Padded shorts. Better to be safe than sore!
• Layers! The mornings are brisk but temperatures quickly rise throughout the day.
• Spare tube or two (especially if you’re running an uncommon tire size). Flat tires are the number-one mechanical issue we see along the course.
• Small adjustable wrench🔧. We recommend this for bolted wheels instead of a quick-release. If your tire has pinheads, don’t forget the key!
• Portable air pump or CO2 cartridges and tire levers (if you know how to fix a flat). Not sure how to fix a flat bike tire? We’ve got a class for you! 
• A multitool for adjustments on the go can be a lifesaver.

Don’t sweat it if you don’t already own tools! We have professional bike mechanic stations at the start line and along the Tour route, as well as plenty of volunteer Rider Assist Marshals to help get you rolling in the face of flats and mechanical issues.

No bike? No problem!  Unlimited Biking, the official rental partner of Bike New York, has got you covered.

How to get your body ready 💪 :

• Start small, then gradually increase your time and distance.
• Try to bike up some hills before the ride.
• Incorporate a proper warm-up and cool-down routine into your workout to prevent injury.
• Check out the NYU Langone Health Training Hub , chock-full of helpful resources provided by Sports Health experts at NYU Langone, to help get you ready for the big day!

How to get your bike ready:

• Recycle-A-Bicycle in Clinton Hill will be happy to help you ou t. Pro tip: Between now and March 20, Recycle-A-Bicycle is offering 20% off all tune-up services!

DURING THE RIDE

• Drink water and stick to light snacks like bananas and granola bars provided at the rest areas.
• Ride on the right side to avoid fast cyclists.
• Avoid riding on metal road grills and sewer covers. If the roads are wet, it’ll be easy to fall on slippery surfaces.
• Don’t use clip-in pedals unless you have experience with them. You’ll want to be ready for sudden stops. Try stiff sneakers and cages or flat pedals instead.
• Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, stretch, then hydrate some more💦!
• Take your time! Stop at sights, take in the views, and pull over if you need to rest.
• Change gears early when biking up overpasses.
• The highway leading up to the Verrazzano Bridge is long. Make sure to stop at the Brooklyn Bridge rest area before your climb.
• Be kind to your fellow cyclists😊.

Maroon 5 is returning to Manila for a concert in January 2025!

Get ready to sing your hearts out with Maroon 5 as the American pop rock band will be swinging by Manila in January 2025 for their Asian tour!

On social media, Live Nation Asia announced Maroon 5 will kick off their Asian tour with a one-night show at the Mall of Asia Arena on January 29, 2025. 

From Manila, the six-piece group will make pitstops in key ASEAN cities like Jakarta, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Kaohsiung. 

Further information such as the seat plan and ticketing details have yet to be announced. 

This will be Maroon 5’s fourth concert in the Philippines. They last performed in the country in 2022 as part of their world tour. They also held concerts in 2019 and 2015. 

Composed of Adam Levine , Jesse Carmichael, James Valentine, PJ Morton, Matt Flynn, Sam Farrar, Mickey Madden, Ryan Dusick, Maroon 5 was formed in 1994 and is known for their hit songs “Moves Like Jagger,” “She Will Be Loved,” and “Payphone,” among others.

Aerosmith’s Joe Perry and Steven Tyler, Fenway Park, Sept. 8, 2022

Aerosmith returned to the Boston stage on September 8, 2022, following Steven Tyler’s treatment at a rehab facility this spring for an undisclosed addiction. The concert marked only the second time the band had performed since Feb. 15, 2020, a remarkable span of two-and-a-half years. Their 2022 return was originally scheduled to take place in Europe but was canceled due to the pandemic. Their first U.S. date was planned for June 17 but was delayed when Tyler entered a treatment program in May. Their 19-song set at Fenway Park on this Thursday night, after a warmup show four days’ earlier in Bangor, Maine, was followed by a string of shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas.

Aerosmith owns an extensive catalog of classic rock favorites to choose from and mixed a variety of ’70s and ’80s songs into the set at the home of the Boston Red Sox. (Watch several below.) As it turned out, with the band’s stunning announcement on Aug. 2, 2024, to call it quits from touring, the Fenway show marked their final concert in the city they call home.

The first song was, appropriately, “Back in the Saddle.” “Fenway Park! Please join in on the 50 years celebration of the greatest rock and roll band ever…”

The 2022 shows marked the delayed celebration of Aerosmith ‘s 50th anniversary of their formation. Their Vegas residency, Deuces Are Wild, opened in April 2019. Dolby Live is described as “one of the world’s most technologically advanced performance venues of its kind and preeminent locations for enjoying live musical performances in Dolby Atmos.” “Let’s pull one out of our back pocket…”

In an interview from June 2021, the band’s Brad Whitford said he doubted whether the band would ever perform again. “I have my doubts about Aerosmith ever really performing again at this stage, because age is becoming a real factor,” he said, as transcribed by Blabbermouth.net . They ultimately began their final tour in September 2023 but it was soon postponed—and later canceled altogether—due to an injury to Tyler’s vocal cords.

For the first encore, Tyler reappeared above the famed Green Monster, the ballpark’s left field wall, to perform “Dream On.”

Whitford is the youngest member of the band; for this show, he was 71. Steven Tyler was 75; Joe Perry was 72; and Joey Kramer and Tom Hamilton were 71. John Douglas filled in on drums for Kramer, whose wife died earlier in the year. Aerosmith congratulated Tyler on his 75th birthday.

I saw the guys last in December of 1987 at the st. paul civic center in st. paul, MN. On the permanent vacation tour. They rocked it big time! Good to see them still doing what they do best, playing kick ass rock_n_roll!

I saw them in Jan. 1990 when I was 7 1/2 mos pregnant w/ front row center stage & she was bouncing so much I thought I was going into labor then, lol… The only sucky part was I had to end up trading my tickets w/ some young girl & her friend(she actually thought it was a big joke & couldn’t believe it) but I ended up watching from the 1st balcony & watching I was so pissed cuz Tyler & Perry spent 90% of their time rt there, UggghI couldn’t believe it… But till this day she also still loves AEROSMITH, that’s my girl..❤️‍

Saw them at Fenway last night. I’m still beside myself on how well they performed. One of the best concerts I’ve ever attended. God, I hope they have at least one more tour left in them!

Grateful that we can share the experience via cellphone videos. On the other hand, how incredibly annoying they are. King Crimson had it right: Get your pix in before and after the performance; otherwise, be present and just enjoy the show.

Aerosmith, a true Rock n Roll Band. Probably The best Rock band to come from America. They had their fair share of hits but I started losing interest in their music after “Get A Grip.” They need to release some box sets with outtakes and Live recordings. I would love to have a 40th Anniversary box set of “Rock In A Hard Place.” Love that album and its the only album without Joe Perry and Brad Whitford.

Transport services have English translations on their maps and English announcements via intercom; alternatively, order taxis from the Yandex Taxi app (Russian Uber), though it’s unlikely that your taxi driver will speak English. Is it safe to travel to Moscow?

It is no less safe to travel to Moscow than to any European city if you exercise common sense and look after your belongings. As with every city some regions can be more unsavoury than others, but no tourist attractions are located there. The traffic in Moscow is notorious, so exercise caution when crossing roads. University of Idaho murder trial: Venue will be moved, judge rules

Bryan Kohberger is accused of fatally stabbing four college students in 2022.

The venue will be changed in the University of Idaho quadruple murder trial, Judge John Judge has ruled.

The judge said, "Considering the undisputed evidence presented by the defense, the extreme nature of the news coverage in this case, and the smaller population in Latah County, the defense has met the rather low standard of demonstrating 'a reasonable likelihood' that prejudicial news coverage will compromise a fair trial in Latah County. Thus, the Court will grant Kohberger's motion to change venue for presumed prejudice."

The new location was not immediately clear. The decision will be left up to Idaho's highest court.

Lawyers for the suspect, Bryan Kohberger, pushed to move the trial to Boise, arguing the local jury pool in Latah County, which encompasses Moscow, was tainted by pretrial publicity.

Defense lawyers surveyed Latah County residents and said their results found that the "pressure to convict" Kohberger was shown to be "so severe" that the venue couldn't be impartial.

The defense said one respondent answered they would "burn the courthouse down" if he were not convicted. The same survey, according to the defense, found "much less emotional" responses from people living closer to Boise, which is about 300 miles south of Moscow.

The prosecution has said the case has national and international interest, and that the case has been covered plenty in Boise, so a change of venue would not solve any problem.

Moscow Mayor Art Bettge said in a statement in August that, if the case stayed in Latah County, "I firmly believe people would be able to set aside any personal feelings they have ... set aside any information they may have read or heard ... and make a determination of guilt or not guilty based on the evidence presented in the courtroom and deliberate according to the instructions provided to them."

The trial is set to begin on June 2, 2025, and run until Aug. 29, 2025. The judge said in June that if the venue changed, the trial date would still hold.

Kohberger is accused of fatally stabbing four University of Idaho students in an off-campus house in the early hours of Nov. 13, 2022. Kohberger was a criminology Ph.D. student at nearby Washington State University at the time.

Kohberger was charged with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of burglary.

A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf. If convicted, he could face the death penalty.

Taylor Swift ushered in a new era in her discography with the release of record-setting "Midnights," and the pop superstar is celebrating with a new tour, announced Tuesday morning.

She'll hit the road in 2023, making stops in 20 U.S. cities for 27 different concerts for "The Eras Tour," which starts in March.

Two of those concerts, on Aug. 4 and Aug. 5 of 2023, will be in SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.

International concert dates will be announced "as soon as we can," Swift said in her tweet about the tour.

It's the first tour since Swift's 2018 "Reputation Stadium Tour," which kicked off in 2018 in support of her "Reputation" album.

"Midnights," the star's 10th album, has made Swift the first-ever artist to occupy all 10 spots at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

The song "Anti-Hero" has the top spot, followed by "Lavender Haze" and "Maroon." Two official music videos for "Bejeweled" and "Anti-Hero" have combined over 60 million views on YouTube since the album's release.

Bryan Kohberger trial update: Idaho stabbing case will have a change of venue

MOSCOW, Idaho — A judge in Idaho has determined that the trial of Bryan Kohberger will be moved to a different location.

Idaho Second District Judge John Judge wrote in the order dated on Friday that he was concerned that Kohberger may not receive a fair trial in Moscow, Idaho, because of media coverage and statements made by officials that suggested the man was guilty, The Associated Press reported.

Moscow is almost on the border between Idaho and Washington and is the home of the University of Idaho .

The Latah County courthouse is also not big enough and there are not enough sheriff’s deputies for security on a case that has gained national attention.

“Considering the undisputed evidence presented by the defense, the extreme nature of the news coverage in this case, and the smaller population in Latah County, the defense has met the rather low standard of demonstrating ‘a reasonable likelihood’ that prejudicial news coverage will compromise a fair trial in Latah County. Thus, the Court will grant Kohberger’s motion to change venue for presumed prejudice,” Judge wrote, according to ABC News .

The prosecutors said that the case has had both national and international attention and that it has been covered in detail in Boise, Idaho, about 300 miles away.

He did not disclose where the trial would be moved to. The Idaho Supreme Court will decide, but the defense asked for the case to be heard in Ada County, where Boise is located, KXLY reported.

The trial was set to begin on June 2, 2025, and run through Aug. 29, 2025. The schedule is expected to remain the same, ABC News reported.

Kohberger is accused of stabbing four students from the university — Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves — to death on Nov. 13, 2022, the AP reported. He was a criminology Ph.D. student at Washington State University and was arrested six weeks after their deaths at his parents’ home in Pennsylvania. He was there for winter break.

Kohberger faces four counts of first-degree murder and one count of burglary. He could get the death penalty if convicted. A not-guilty plea was entered on his behalf. The defense has asked that the death penalty be removed, KXLY reported.

Two-time Masters champion Scottie Scheffler was arrested Friday after Louisville police say he dragged an officer while trying to get around the scene of a fatal accident ahead of the second round of the PGA Championship .

The 27-year-old Scheffler, the world's No. 1-ranked golfer, was attempting to get to Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, around 6 a.m. when police say he illegally bypassed the scene of an accident where a pedestrian was killed.

Scheffler was charged with multiple counts, including second-degree assault of a police officer and reckless driving. He was booked and had his mugshot taken before being released. Scheffler called the chain of events a “big misunderstanding.”

He returned to Valhalla in time for his 10:08 a.m. local tee time. Scheffler received a loud ovation from fans when he was introduced, then birdied his first hole of the day, the par-5 10th.

WHO IS SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER?

Scheffler arrived at Valhalla this week as a heavy favorite following a run of dominance in the sport not seen since Tiger Woods' prime. He entered play Thursday having won four of the last five tournaments he entered, including the Masters — one of golf's four major events — last month at Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia.

The soft-spoken Texan is an unlikely star. He fell in love with the game as a child, sometimes hitting balls in the dark in northern New Jersey while his father, Scott, held a flashlight.

The Schefflers moved to Dallas during Scottie's childhood, with Scott Scheffler serving as a stay-at-home dad while Scheffler's mother, Diane, worked as the CEO at a law firm.

Scheffler played multiple sports growing up before ultimately settling on golf. He is hardly the only player in the family. His sister Callie played collegiately at Texas A&M.

He and his wife, Meredith, were high-school sweethearts and the Schefflers paint a portrait of a very unassuming life despite Scottie's jet-fueled rise to fame that began in 2022 when he claimed his first Masters title.

The process has only sped up over the last few months as Scheffler turned his gap over world No. 2 Rory McIlroy into more of a canyon.

Scheffler is an admitted homebody who prefers playing board games and relaxing by watching Instagram videos rather than indulging in the trappings of his success. He has won more than $61 million already in his career, including $18 million this season alone.

The Schefflers welcomed their first child , son Bennett, on May 8, leading Scottie to reflect recently on how his life has played out.

“I married my high school sweetheart and I always wanted to play professional golf, and now I’m here,” he said. “I was sitting there with a newborn in my arms and the green jacket in the closet. It was a pretty special time.”

WHAT HAPPENED TO SCHEFFLER AT THE PGA CHAMPIONSHIP?

Scheffler was attempting to get to Valhalla for an early stretch/workout ahead of his second-round tee time, initially scheduled for 8:48 a.m.

A vendor working at the course was struck and killed by a bus just after 5 a.m. while trying to cross a four-lane road. Traffic was backed up in both directions heading into the course while police conducted an investigation.

Scheffler was driving past the scene at around 6 a.m. when a police officer told him to stop. Police say the officer attached himself to the vehicle Scheffler was operating. Scheffler stopped, and the officer ordered Scheffler out of the car before putting him in handcuffs.

Louisville police say the officer was sent to the hospital after being dragged “to the ground” and suffering “pain, swelling, and abrasions to his left wrist” after Scheffler's vehicle “accelerated forward."

A spokesperson for Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg said Saturday there is no police body camera video of the initial encounter between Scheffler and the officer. The officer was directing traffic at the time, and the department’s officers typically don’t record video with their body cameras while directing traffic, Kevin Trager, the mayor’s press secretary, wrote in a text message to an Associated Press reporter.

Scheffler was booked at 7:28 a.m. — about 2 1/2 hours before his updated tee time after the second round was delayed because of the fatality. He donned an orange jumpsuit and had his mugshot taken before being released. Scheffler said in a statement he never intended to break any traffic laws, expressed sympathy for the “tragic accident” and detailed the sequence of events that led to his arrest as a “big misunderstanding.”

The world's top-ranked golfer then returned to Valhalla just after 9 a.m., emerging from the clubhouse about 20 minutes later to begin preparations for his round. Wearing a white hat and quarter-zip jacket, he received an ovation as he made his way to the driving range, with one fan yelling “Free Scottie!”

There was a sense of normalcy as Scheffler went through his routine. Fellow PGA Tour player Brendon Todd greeted Scheffler by saying “good to see you." Todd then showed Scheffler something on Todd's phone, drawing a small chuckle from both.

Scheffler joined playing partners Wyndham Clark and Brian Harman at the 10th tee, with the gallery erupting when Scheffler was introduced. Scheffler's initial tee shot found the right rough, though he eventually stuffed his approach shot on the par-5 to 3 feet and tapped in for birdie.

By the time Scheffler was at the midpoint of his round, fans were already wearing white “Free Scottie” T-shirts as they stood behind the ropes a few yards away.
