Tour Description

Your package includes deluxe transportation and accommodations, all listed tour fees, and 3 meals.

We start out this evening with a short drive into Oklahoma. This afternoon we will head over to Claremore, OK, to visit the Will Rogers Museum. Rogers was one of the nation’s top radio personalities, one of the nation’s top movie box office players, one of the nation’s most popular public speakers, and one of the nation’s leading newspaper columnists. After enjoying the humor and folksy observations by Will Rogers, we head to our first Christmas light display - the Rhema Lights . Located at Rhema Bible College, Rhema Christmas Lights Extravaganza is a stunning display of dazzling lights that began with about 60,000 lights in 1982. Over 40 years later, millions of newer, brighter, energy-efficient LED lights adorn the 110-acre campus. Back again is a 50-figure nativity scene and a gingerbread family, complete with lollipops and gumdrops. There’s also a synchronized musical display of trees and dancing snowflakes. And as always, the vibrant Rhema Park bridge acts as a remarkable centerpiece for the entire display. Horse-drawn carriage rides and concessions are also available

Our time today will consist of heading to the Philbrook Museum , as well as free time to shop at the “ Antique Capital of Oklahoma .” Then it’s on to an included dinner at Dilly Diner , a small local gem. Tonight, we have another light display to attend at the Tulsa Botanical Gardens , where more twinkling Christmas lights await.

This morning we say goodbye to T town and return to our families for the holidays, with brand new Christmas memories to share

Try A Swincar Tour, Zip Lining, Horse Back Riding, And More All In This One Oklahoma Town

Broken Bow, Oklahoma offers a variety of outdoor activities including zip lining, horseback riding, and swincar tours in a scenic setting.

If you're looking for an outdoor adventure then Broken Bow is where you need to be. This small town is home to not only the most beautiful scenery in the state but there are outdoor activities around every corner. From zip lining and horseback riding to swincar tours and mining, there is so much to do in this Oklahoma town. And, if you're asking what is a swincar, keep scrolling and we'll show you!

First off, let me introduce you to Broken Bow, one of the most magical places in all of Oklahoma. This town is located in the southeastern portion of the state in the Ouachita Mountains where outdoor recreation abounds.

alt

Rugaru Adventures is a local outfitter that offers zip lining and swincar tours. They. have excellent reviews and offer exclusive adventures you can't find anywhere else in the area.

alt

The zip line tour takes you on six different lines totaling over a half mile, and it's a thrill for those looking to get their heart racing.

alt

But that's not all they offer. They just started offering swincar tours and we are obsessed. Swincars are electric all-terrain vehicles that will give you the ride of a lifetime. They are quiet so you can experience the stillness of nature without the loud noise of typical off-road vehicles.

alt

On your tour, you will go off-roading for two miles in beautiful Beavers Bend State Park. They offer single or tandem vehicles and it's one of the coolest outdoor adventures we have experienced in a while.

alt

Another fun adventure is a horseback ride through the woods. Beavers Bend Depot & Trail Rides offers a variety of rides for all ages and it's one of the best ways to see the local scenery.

alt

Also located at the Depot is a fun train ride for the whole family. The rides are offered every 30 minutes and take about 20 minutes.

alt

Next, head over to the MAZE of Hochatown and find your way through a 29,000-square-foot wooden maze. The little ones can also mine for gems and it's another great way to spend some time outdoors in this fun town.

alt

Which activity are you ready to do? I'll take the swincar tours! To learn more about each activity, click the following links: Rugaru Adventures , Beavers Bend Depot & Trail Rides , and The MAZE of Hochatown .

On top of all this adventure, Beavers Bend State Park is filled with nature and hiking trails. A new trail opened in 2019 that we think you would really like. It's only 1.5-miles long and is just perfect for those looking for a little exercise that's not too strenuous.

Explore Tulsa’s Underground Tunnels On This Unique Tour In Oklahoma

Explore Tulsa's hidden underground tunnels connecting historic buildings through guided tours.

If you're looking for a new adventure in Tulsa, try out the underground tunnel tour that will take you below historic buildings downtown! You'll get to explore areas most people are unaware even exist and see beautiful architecture along the way. Have you ever heard of the Tulsa underground tunnels? Now you have! This is one of those awesome hidden gems in Oklahoma you can't miss.

Few people know that hiding below Downtown Tulsa is an extensive network of secret tunnels that connect several skyscrapers. There are organized tours you can take where you'll get to explore these tunnels that once served as a way to protect the wealthy and elite from danger.

alt

Construction of the tunnels began in 1929 by the owner, Waite Phillips, with an 80-foot tunnel that ran between the Philtower and the Philcade building.

alt

Phillips, a wealthy businessman, was scared to travel between his buildings due to crime and chaos that was traveling across the country.

alt

In total, the tunnels connect eight buildings, three parking garages, a hotel, several cafes, and small businesses.

alt

Guided tours are given by the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture and Tours of Tulsa. More information can be found on their links below.

alt

The walking tour takes about one hour, as you'll walk below and above the streets of Tulsa. Your guide will educate you all along the way about the fascinating history and architecture of Tulsa.

alt

You'll get to see sculptures, art, murals, and noteworthy architecture during your tour. The tunnels are open daily to the public but tours are by reservation only.

alt

For more information on guided tours, please visit these websites for more details and pricing: Tours of Tulsa and Tulsa Foundation for Architecture .

Oklahoma City is also home to an underground tunnel system, similar to Tulsa's. Check out a previous article for all the details about the underground tunnels of Oklahoma City .
