Già un album sembra un progetto in via di estinzione. Figuriamoci un concept, polvere dagli anni 70. Se poi il filo conduttore che lo tiene assieme è un’analisi socio-politica si rischia di passare per anti-storici. «Made in Italy» di Ligabue (esce oggi) è tutto questo: 14 canzoni che raccontano la storia di Riko, circa 50enne in piena crisi esistenziale, cresciuto con gli ideali della rivoluzione, fuori passo rispetto alla società veloce e competitiva di oggi e con un privato sentimentale a rotoli. «Riko, il mio secondo nome è Riccardo, è il mio alter ego, rappresenta una mia vita parallela, quello che sarei stato se non fossi Ligabue. Mi permette di dire quello che penso con maggiore libertà», racconta il rocker. Il progetto è nato durante il tour estero di «Mondovisione»: «Mi domandavo se gli italiani che incontravo a Shanghai, Sidney o Tokio vivessero lì per una scelta o se erano stati costretti a emigrare dalla situazione italiana». E subito dopo Campovolo 2015 si è concretizzato. «Per 20 giorni mi sono messo a scrivere come un pazzo, dormendo poche ore». Ed ecco il concept album: «Amo “Tommy” e “Quadrophenia” degli Who e godo al pensiero che qualcuno ascolterà il disco per intero, quasi mettendosi di traverso rispetto ai tempi di oggi. Però io non ho messo parti strumentali. Da sempre sono un accanito sostenitore della canzone, quella popolare con strofa-ritornello-ponte e ognuna di queste ha una propria autonomia, potrebbe vivere senza le altre». Nei testi c’è la storia di Riko ma anche l’Italia di oggi «che fa finta di cambiare», che invece di sognare twitta, stretta da una crisi che ti fa dire «meno male» se lasciano a casa un collega e non te e dove l’informazione è superficiale. «È una lettera d’amore frustrato al mio Paese. Amo l’Italia ma odio la condizione in cui versa e il fatto che non voglia risolvere i propri vecchi difetti. Anche io ho subito l’essere adolescente in un momento di promesse forti e garanzie che il mondo sarebbe cambiato. È stato bello poterci credere ma la politica ha disatteso quegli idali. È doloroso vedere che la forbice della diseguaglianza fra ricchi e poveri si sia allargata». La sliding door della musica si è aperta su una vita più tranquilla per Luciano. «Qualcuno dirà che non posso parlare vista la mia posizione. Anzitutto credo di dare voce a chi non ne ha una forte. E poi i temi come l’ingiustizia fiscale o l’incertezza sulle pensioni li ritrovo quando al venerdì sera incontro i miei amici di sempre in una casa di campagna che abbiamo trasformato 30 anni fa nel nostro bar-ritrovo: sono contadini, imprenditori, operai e mi aiutano a stare schiscio». Per dirla con Gaber, la generazione post-68 ha perso? «La vita è troppo complessa per poterla identificare attraverso le generazioni. Il protagonista fa i conti con un “io” e non con un “noi”. E quando lo accetta ha uno sguardo più consapevole, anche se rimane critico, sul fuori. La speranza, sentimento sbeffeggiato ai giorni nostri, fa capolino alla fine». Il 23 novembre su Fox (ore 21) andrà in onda un docufilm sul percorso che ha portato alla nascita del disco e il meglio del concerto al Parco di Monza dello scorso settembre. I suoni del disco vanno oltre il classico rock alla Liga. C’è qualche passaggio funk, abbondanza di fiati che danno spinta r&b, un reggae scanzonato, riff in stile Ac/Dc e virate glam rock: «Riko mi assomiglia ma non è me stesso, allora anche nei suoni resto riconoscibile ma esploro generi diversi». Se in Italia ci sono i furbetti del quartierino, nella musica ci sono i furbetti del concertino emersi con lo scandalo del secondary ticketing, bagarinaggio online che vede coinvolti promoter e forse persino degli artisti. Contromisure per il tour che parte il 3 febbraio da Roma? «È un’attività ahimè legale che permette a qualcuno di lucrare sui concerti senza rischiare. Se qualcuno accetta di pagare un biglietto dieci volte il suo prezzo si chiama libertà individuale, però è dal 2009 che, assieme a chi organizza i miei concerti, faccio attività di informazione diffidando il pubblico dal comprare biglietti su quei siti».
