Turmion Kätilöt to release new studio album “Omen X” on January 13th 2023

To mark the announcement the band have released the video for the album’s first single, the thumping industrial metal anthem “Isä Meidän” .

“The body of the song was born in one night. You could feel the danger in the song, and dangerous it became. The tunes followed each other until I noticed that five hours had passed after the last chord died. The song became a pleasant stimulus for my brain. It goes from black metal moods to brisk metal rave hypnosis, without forgetting the delicate middle parts and big chorus. With the right equipment, the pace can be deadly”, says MC Raaka Pee, about the new single .

“I don’t really know what I would embellish, or even explain about ‘Isä Meidän’. I wrote straight and direct words that hardly leave any questions. I didn’t want to beat around the bushes. We are all someone’s children. But too often somewhere in life, something in us grows crooked. Rauli and his team summed all this up really wonderfully in the video”, comments Shag-U regarding the new single .

Turmion Kätilöt was formed in 2003 in Finland by MC Raaka Pee and Dj Vastapallo. Soon they were joined by the other members of what would become Turmion Kätilöt: Master Bates, Run-Q, DQ and Spellgoth as a second vocalist. With a couple of line-up changes as Dj Vastapallo left the band in 2009 replaced by Bobby Undertaker on guitars (ex-Deathchain) and Spellgoth leaving in 2017 replaced by Shag-U (Fear Of Domination) on vocals, Turmion Kätilöt has become the mean disco metal machine they are today.

From the very beginning Turmion Kätilöt has had a reputation for being a great live band. Disco beats from the 90’s, stomping metal, melodies, sing-a-longs, you name it – there are no rules. Yet still if you peek under the skin you can find the darkness pointing its finger at you. Their live shows have been praised to be the fiercest and craziest mayhem that can be witnessed creating the twisted world of Turmion Kätilöt.

Turmion Kätilöt kiertää Suomean ”Omen X” -albuminsa tiimoilta keväällä 2023

Turmion Kätilöt -yhtyeen kymmenes studioalbumi ”Omen X” ilmestyy 13. tammikuuta 2023. Lauantaina 14. tammikuuta orkesteri juhlii uutukaista Helsingin Jäähallin Black Boxissa, jossa illan sankarin lisäksi nähdään myös saksalainen Lord of the Lost sekä kotimaiset Detset ja Proteus .

Pääkaupungin jälkeen ”Omen X” vie ryhmää halki Suomen. Kiertueen viimeinen keikka raikaa Lapualla 22. huhtikuuta.

Finové TURMION KÄTILÖT oznámili vydání nového alba a přejmenovali své nadcházející tour! V únoru 2023 v PRAZE! TURMION KÄTILÖT - “Omen X World Tour” – PRAHA, klub Storm – 13.2.2023 Po 9 plnohodnotných studiových albech a více než 800 koncertech, je finský metalový diskostroj TURMION KÄTILÖT připraven postoupit do dalšího, vyššího levlu světové metalové scény. Jejich 10. studiové album „Omen X“ vyjde ve 36 zemích 13. ledna 2023! Hned poté kapela vyráží na své „Omen X World Tour“! Nejprve odehraje svou doposud největší show v Helsinkách, 14. ledna 2023 a po několika vystoupeních v domovské zemi bude deska „Omen X“ představena naživo po celé Evropě! Do České republiky dorazí 13. února 2023 a hostit je bude klub Storm v PRAZE! „V produkci Omen X jsme narazili pouze na pozitivní problémy. Kvůli lockdownům Covid 19, bylo tentokrát k dispozici tolik písní, že bylo až bolestivé vybrat pouze počet na jedno album. Množství materiálu bylo opravdu velké a obtížnost výběru vysoká. Zdálo se, že to dokonce zabírá až příliš mnoho zbytečně cenného studiového času. Jinak výroba alba šlo jako vždy hladce. Z našeho pohledu dostalo album přímo pekelný šmrnc, nové, neotřelé zvuky a neuvěřitelnou atmosféru. Velmi očistný zážitek. Desáté proroctví tak bylo dáno. • The only currency valid within the event area is CZK (Czech Crown). No dogs or other animals are allowed in event area!

OMEGA X announce 2023 US and Mexico tour

Featuring shows in Mexico City, Chicago, San Francisco and more

K-pop boyband OMEGA X have announced their upcoming 2023 tour of the US and Mexico, which will take place in November and December.

OMEGA X will kick of their 2023 US and Mexico tour at the tail-end of November in Jersey City (24), followed by shows in Chicago and Atlanta (26 and 29).

In December, the boyband will play three shows on the US mainland in Dallas (1st), and the Californian cities of San Francisco and Los Angeles (8th and 10th). In the same month, they will also hold concerts in the US territory of Puerto Rico (3rd), as well as a sole Mexico City show on the 6th.

In other touring news, popular South Korean singing reality competition TV series Immortal Songs is headed to New York this October . The show will feature performances by K-pop groups NewJeans and ATEEZ , as well as Psy , Jannabi and more.

According to organiser Studio PAV, the concert will be a four-hour show for a special episode of Immortal Songs that will “commemorat[e] the 120th Anniversary of Korean Immigration to the USA”.

MIES (Switzerland) - Amsterdam’s (NED) Worthy De Jong took home Most Spectacular Player honors for the FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2023 season.

We got Hype Worthy all year in 2023 as the Dutch star wowed fans around the world. From no-look dimes, tough lays and a vintage drive to the hoop, De Jong deservedly earned the recognition. 

He finished the season with three of the MSP awards, namely in Marseille, Hong Kong and Cebu. He was joined atop the list by Lausanne’s Gilles Martin who also won the distinction thrice last season. 

Worthy broke the tie by accruing more highlights over the entirety of the past season with 220.

Ken Carson has announced the 2024 Chaos World Tour, an extensive run of dates that will bring the Atlanta rapper across North America and Europe. He’s hitting the road in support of his new album, A Great Chaos , which came out last October. Find the complete list of tour dates below.

The 2024 Chaos World Tour begins in Orlando, Florida, on July 8 and keeps Ken Carson on the road until October 5, where he ends the run in Prague, Czech Republic. Along the way, he’ll perform in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Paris, London, Berlin, and Milan, among other locales. News of the tour arrives on the heels of Carson’s new track “ Overseas .”

Worthy de Jong named FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2023 Most Spectacular Player

MIES (Switzerland) - Amsterdam’s (NED) Worthy De Jong took home Most Spectacular Player honors for the FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2023 season.

We got Hype Worthy all year in 2023 as the Dutch star wowed fans around the world. From no-look dimes, tough lays and a vintage drive to the hoop, De Jong deservedly earned the recognition. 

He finished the season with three of the MSP awards, namely in Marseille, Hong Kong and Cebu. He was joined atop the list by Lausanne’s Gilles Martin who also won the distinction thrice last season. 

Worthy broke the tie by accruing more highlights over the entirety of the past season with 220.

De Jong is back in World Tour action for 2024 as he tips off his campaign in the Opener in Utsunomiya.
