Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band Detail 2023 U.S. Tour

Bruce Springsteen has detailed the North American leg of his 2023 tour with the E Street Band . The North American stint, which kicks off next February, begins in Tampa and extends to April, with the final U.S. date (for now) taking place at Newark’s Prudential Center in Springsteen’s home state of New Jersey. Check out the dates below.

Springsteen’s dates with Stevie Van Zandt, Max Weinberg, Patti Sciafla, Roy Bittan, Gary Tallent, Nils Lofgren, and the rest will be their first together since 2017. His previously announced run of European shows goes from late April to late July.

In an initial announcement of the tour, which did not include dates or venue details, Springsteen said, “After six years, I’m looking forward to seeing our great and loyal fans next year. And I’m looking forward to once again sharing the stage with the legendary E Street Band. See you out there, next year—and beyond!”

Springsteen’s latest solo albums are 2019’s Western Stars and 2020’s Letter to You , which both had accompanying films. He put out a podcast and book with Barack Obama in 2021, and released the Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts as an album and film the same year.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band announced the dates for their 2023 U.S. tour on Tuesday (July 12). The 31-show swing is slated to kick off on Feb. 1 in Tampa, Florida and is currently slated to keep the hard-charging group on the road through a homecoming gig in Newark, New Jersey on April 14.

Along the way the veteran rockers will hit Atlanta, Orlando, Dallas, Houston, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Boston, Detroit, New York, Cleveland and Baltimore. The shows will be The Boss’ first North American dates with his long-running band since Sept 2016.

Springsteen announced the dates for his 2023 European tour in May, explaining on SiriusXM’s E Street Radio that after nearly five years off the road it was time for him to get the band back together. “It’s kind of mind boggling to be honest with you… IT doesn’t feel that long, but,  you know, we stayed busy over that time, but still it’s, I’m really, I’ve got the Jones to play live very badly at this point,” Springsteen said of getting back at it with the band for the first time since they recorded 2020’s  Letter to You  album. “So, I’m deeply looking forward to getting out there in front of our fans.”

The group is gearing up to hit the road for the first time since the conclusion of their 14-month global River Tour, which kicked off in 2016. According to a release announcing the new dates, since the 2023 European dates were announced in May more than 1.2 million tickets have already been sold. After the end of the European run — scheduled for April-July 2023 — the band will begin a second as-yet-unannounced string of North American shows in August; tour dates in the UK are also slated for next year, with the details to be announced soon.

Springsteen began his highly anticipated 2023 world tour in Tampa on Feb. 1, and now, he heads to the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington on Feb. 27 .

Where to buy Bruce Springsteen concert tickets

Springsteen fans can find last-minute tickets on StubHub , Vivid Seats and TicketNetwork , in addition to Ticketmaster .

The lowest-priced last-minute tickets for Springsteen’s 2023 tour have been on StubHub and Vivid Seats . Ticketmaster has seats for sale, but they’re resale tickets and have been priced as high or higher than the traditional secondary market.

Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band to tour in US, Europe

NEW YORK (AP) — The Boss is hitting the road again, and the E Street Band band is coming with him.

The rockers announced Monday that they will begin an arena tour in February in the United States, followed by stadium shows beginning in April in Europe.

Details on the cities the rockers will visit in the U.S. will be announced later, but it’ll be the first time the group has toured since wrapping The River Tour in Australia in February 2017.

“After six years, I’m looking forward to seeing our great and loyal fans next year,” Springsteen said in a statement.

The European concerts will begin April 28th in Barcelona, the announcement said. Other stops in Europe will include Dublin, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Copenhagen with the last European show announced so far happening July 25 in Monza, Italy. Concerts in Britain and Belgium will also be announced later.

The North American dates will be split into two segments, with a second leg beginning in August.

The group’s last release was the 2020 album “Letter to You.”

• Hank Azaria Outlines New Bruce Springsteen Tribute Project, Details Initial Live Show

Emmy Award-winning actor and voice artist Hank Azaria has detailed his new Bruce Springsteen tribute project, Hank Azaria & The EZ Street Band. The freshly forged ensemble will put on their initial concert at New York’s Le Poisson Rouge on August 1, 2024, where the bandleader will apply his distinct ability to meld his tone and vocal texture in order to eliminate The Boss’ capacity as a live performer. 

Before the launch of Azaria’s current musical endeavor, he peppered his resume with notable roles in television and film, including extensive vocal work in the animated classic The Simpsons , dating back to 1989. The actor also took on roles in popular movies such as The Birdcage , taking on a fan-favorite character, Guatemalan housekeeper Agador Spartacus, and Whit in David Schwimmer’s directorial debut, 2007’s Run Fatboy Run.  

“I’ve never worked harder preparing for any role than I did in perfecting a singing vocal impression of Bruce,” said Azaria via a press release, which went on to allude to the performance as “packed with Springsteen classics and deep cuts, delivered with Azaria’s unique flair and the band’s top-notch musicianship.”

The August 1st concert will provide all net proceeds to the Four Through Nine Foundation,  founded by Azaria and committed to social justice, education and recovery causes. “I can’t think of a better way to spend my time and use my passion for voices than playing these songs for a crowd that loves them and lovingly tribute Bruce while raising money for folks who need it,” Azaria concluded.

Disney+ and Hulu have set a new Bruce Springsteen documentary for an October premiere.

“Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band” will follow the band’s 2023-2024 world tour, featuring footage from band rehearsals and backstage moments, conversations with Springsteen as he develops the setlist and archival clips of the E Street Band. The project is intended to complement Springsteen’s existing body of autobiographical works, which includes the memoir “Born to Run,” the live performance (and documentary) “Springsteen on Broadway,” and the films “Western Stars” and “Letter to You.”

The documentary is not the only Springsteen project soon headed to screens. “The Bear” star Jeremy Allen White is in talks to play the legendary rocker in an upcoming biopic titled “Deliver Me From Nowhere,” which will follow the making of the 1982 album “Nebraska.” “Succession” star Jeremy Strong is in talks to play Landau , as Variety exclusively reported, while 20th Century Studios recently boarded as distributor of the Gotham Group-produced film.

“We're back!”

That's the word from Bruce Springsteen moments after the E Street Band's tour relaunch at the Footprint Center in Phoenix on March 19. It comes courtesy of a backstage hype reel on his Instagram account, posted March 20.

The video starts with a look at the guitars of the E Street band, and then Springsteen picking his guitar from tech Kevin Buell under the stage. Springsteen then exhorts E Street Band members as they climb the stairs to the stage. Springsteen proceeds to march up the steps, dramatically backlit like a scene out of the Second Coming.

Fast forward neatly three hours and Springsteen comes down the steps and gets into a circle with the band.      

“Great show everybody!” says Springsteen, flailing his arms in the air. “I'll see you in Las Vegas, Nevada!”

Then a leaning smile into the camera: “We're back!”

In Phoenix, Springsteen and E Street played 29 songs in about two hours and 45 minutes. The setlist largely adhered to the 2023 setlist with a few changes and a sign request for “Twist and Shout.”

Prior to "Last Man Standing" from 2020's "Letter to You" was the spoken interlude about Springsteen's late Castiles bandmate George Theiss of Freehold.

“Bruce looked and sounded great,” said Pete Maimone of North Brunswick via email. “The entire band was as good as ever — very high energy as promised.  There were some setlist changes, but nothing earth-shattering. Everyone around us walked out loving it.”

The band lineup was the same as the 2023 shows with Max Weinberg, drums; Steven Van Zandt and Nils Lofgren, guitars; Garry Tallent, bass; Roy Bittan and Charles Giordano, keyboards; Jake Clemons, saxophone; Soozie Tyrell, fiddle and vocals; the E Street Band Horns — Curt Ramm and Barry Danielian on trumpet, Eddie Manion on sax, and Ozzie Melendez on trombone; and the E Street Choir — Anthony Almonte, Curtis King, Michelle Moore, Lisa Lowell and Ada Dyer.

Almonte also plays percussion. Band member Patti Scialfa, as was the case for most of last year, was not on stage.

Springsteen postponed the tour last September due to a bout with peptic ulcer disease. Up next is the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Friday, March 22.

“Thanks,” said Springsteen from the stage in Phoenix at the close of the show. “I want to apologize if there was any discomfort over moving the show last time — I had a (blanking) bellyache! I hope we didn't inconvenience you too much.”

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band tour documentary to debut on Disney+ and Hulu this fall

Bruce Springsteen is coming to the small screen.

On Tuesday, Disney announced that a new documentary film titled “Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band” will debut on Disney+ and Hulu this fall, offering viewers “the most in-depth look ever at the creation of their legendary live performances” from the band’s 2023-2024 world tour.

The doc will look into the band’s pre-tour preparation process, follow them throughout their travels as they perform in front of tens of thousands of concertgoers and feature “fly-on-the-wall footage of band rehearsals and special moments backstage,” the release read.

Viewers will also hear from Springsteen himself and see him develop “the story he wants to tell with this tour’s setlist – interspersed with rare archival clips of The E Street Band, underscoring themes of life, loss, mortality and community.”

The film was directed by Springsteen’s longtime collaborator, award-winning director Thom Zimny, who previously worked with the “Dancing in the Dark” singer on his “Springsteen on Broadway” show.

Springsteen and the E Street Band kicked off their most recent tour in February of 2023. In September, the 74-year-old rock legend announced he had to reschedule over 20 shows as he recovered from “peptic ulcer disease.” The band is currently performing the international leg of their tour, which is slated to conclude in November.

One of the most celebrated rock musicians in the modern era, Springsteen is known for hits like “Born in the U.S.A.,” “Streets of Philadelphia” and “Born to Run,” among many others.

“Road Diary” will debut in October, with an exact air date yet to be announced.

A documentary film about Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s recent tour, which included three concerts in Upstate New York, is coming to Disney+ and Hulu this fall.

Billboard reports “Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band” will be released on both Disney-owned streaming services in October. The documentary will feature an inside look at how The Boss and his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group prepare for their live shows, combining archival footage with behind-the-scenes video of their 2023-2024 world tour.

It’s unclear which cities will be featured in the film, but the tour included nearly three-hour shows in Buffalo, Albany and Syracuse packed with unforgettable moments and rare song performances. Springsteen played “Growin’ Up” for the first time on the tour at Syracuse University’s JMA Wireless Dome, a show that was delayed months by Springsteen’s battle with peptic ulcer disease .

Springsteen fans will especially be excited to hear new interviews with the 74-year-old singer and firsthand accounts of the band performing on stage, including how they choose songs to play backstage.

“These conversations follow Springsteen closely as he develops the story he wants to tell with this tour’s setlist — interspersed with rare archival clips of The E Street Band, underscoring themes of life, loss, mortality and community. In this way, it serves as an essential and never-before-seen chapter in an autobiographical series spanning Springsteen’s memoir ‘ Born to Run ,’ ‘Springsteen on Broadway,’ and the films ‘Western Stars’ and ‘Letter to You,’” Disney said in an official announcement.

“Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band” will be produced by Springsteen and directed by longtime collaborator, Emmy- and Grammy Award winner Thom Zimny (”Springsteen on Broadway,” “Western Stars”). An exact release date will be announced later this year, Disney said.

Another Springsteen movie is also on the way. “The Bear” star Jeremy Allen White is reportedly playing The Boss in a biopic, based on Warren Zanes’ 2023 book, that will focus on the rock legend’s acclaimed 1982 album, “Nebraska.” Jeremy Strong (”Succession”) is said to be in talks to play Springsteen’s longtime manager, Jon Landau in the Scott Cooper-directed “Deliver Me from Nowhere.”
