We took the Loch Ness / Glencoe / Highlands tour with Simba 5/8/24 and were absolutely thrilled with Simba's knowledge of local history and folklore. He took us to places I had never dreamed of seeing. The stops we made were perfectly timed, and there was something for everyone. The bus was clean and comfortable. Simba is the friendliest tour guide/driver I've come across in this place! Thank you Timberbush tours for employing such quality people!

While the scenery was gorgeous and the bus was comfortable, Kenny our tour guide had a bad attitude at the beginning of our trip, awful from the start. He was expressing sarcasm and attitude and being extremely rude. He didn't provide good information during the tour, often with moments of no information at all. The jokes were crass. When we made it to Glennfinan the workers on the mountain said there would be the Harry Potter train passing through in the next 15 minutes. Our guide Kenny pretended to be on a call with management and said "I'm just going to wait here for a moment and tell them there is nothing I can do." He came around to tell us what he had stated on the phone. I was listening intentionally so I could speak to his manager if needed. Kenny left 4 people in the group on the mountain and told them "If you stay, you need to figure it out." I have never had someone not care for people on a tour and if there is ever a detour, guides have always been willing to accommodate what is necessary for the greater good of the entire group. Our guide Kenny was cold, rude, bitter, and didn't provide good information on the tour, nor did he protect the people he was intended to serve for the day. The itinerary in the website was NOT correct. The majority of the bus was willing to wait to see the Harry Potter train. I am traveling alone or I would have stayed with the other four and been left. This is absolutely distasteful, disrespectful, and unprofessional and I will never be on a Timberbush tour again. It appears safety is not considered or valued with this company. I am hoping the people that stayed got back to Edinburgh alright. Update: spoke with Jodie from corporate and they offered a 50% discount and stood behind Kenny lying and being rude due to "other passengers" claiming that Kenny "did good."

We took the day tour to St. Andrews, which also included the Village of Fife and Falkland (think Outlander). Philip was our driver and guide. He did an excellent job providing us with information and history, along with some humor. The only downside is Edinburgh, and the surrounding areas are covered with potholes which made the drive a bit uncomfortable. The bus was clean and comfortable.

My husband and I did a 3 day Highlands tour from Edinburgh earlier this month. Upon reading good reviews for Timberbush, I decided to take a chance and book with them. I am so happy that we did. We had a perfect trip! Even before the trip, they were always very quick to respond to any questions I had and were on top of communication. Our driver-guide was Callum and he was really wonderful. He was very knowledgeable, funny and also had a good selection of music during our drive. He was very flexible as well and on the 2nd day, did a bit of a different take on the typical itinerary and everyone on the tour enjoyed that very much. I would highly recommend the tour as well as the company.

My wife and I did the tour of Anstruther, St. Andrew's, Falkland, and Queensbury. It was a large coach seating over 50 people. We had a knowledgeable tour guide who kept us informed; yet gave us time for things to sink in and to see the scenery. Most stops were short. St. Andrew's was the key part- had a couple of hours. Yet... we always were informed how much time we had. Never boring. Great views.

Took the Winter Tour to Glencoe, Glenfinnan, and Fort William. Our tour guide was George and driver was John. Had an excellent time on the tour. George did a fantastic job keeping the tour alive with his knowledge of history, jokes and stories. I can't leave John out because he drove so long and did it in a safe manner. I love to drive and safety is a main concern and John did a great job keeping us all safe while navigating rain soaked roads we encountered. I'd say the only negative issue was that there wasn't enough time. I'm sure that's everyone's problem when you're getting so much done in such a short time but it's so beautiful out there you want to stay longer. I highly recommend Timberbush and would use them again. Thank you to George and John for a wonderful, safe and memorable time!

They are now accusing me of writing these reviews to get my money back and that is absolutely NOT THE CASE. IF YOU ARE A FEMALE TRAVELER, PLEASE STAY AWAY, YOU WILL BE HARASSED BY THEIR DRIVER, GUIDE AND OWNER Steve Insulted and harassed by their driver and guide. I am a solo female who, unfortunately, used this tour company for a 10 hour tour. During the tour, everything that could go wrong, went wrong!!! Cursing, fast and unsafe driving, sexist comments, made by both the driver and the guide and to top it off, I was made uncomfortable after I was harassed by both the driver and guide for a simple question I asked - being called stupid in front of the whole bus. This tour was booked through GetYourGuide. They have been useless after my 9+ exchanges with them. So I decided to write directly to Timbebush and to my shock, with all I have reported to "Jodie" their customer service manager - nothing has been done l!!! Please do NOT take this company for your tours, you would be putting yourself in danger (fast and dangerous driving) and you would be disrespected and insulted especially if you are a single female!!

We went on an all day tour yesterday through The Highlands, Glencoe and Loch Ness with other stops along the way. Peter was our driver/guide and proved to be extremely knowledgeable with quite the sense of humor. We felt this was an excellent way to see Scotland without having to navigate for ourselves while learning the rich history of the country as well. Cons: No toilet on the bus nor WiFi. Both would make the experience much more comfortable. We did several stops; however, not all stops had toilets available so keep that in mind. Also, our pick up location changed not long before our tour date due to the coronation ceremonies and while we understood that, it made for 2x the walk to the location. Once the tour began and we took off, we were then told our drop off location would be different than the pick up location. Once the tour was over, Peter did help us figure out how to get back to our hotel but we saw several people standing and checking their phones, trying to figure out how to get to where they needed. Our data reception was not working so it was a bit stressful. No idea why the drop off was changed but that would've been nice to know before we arrived so that we could've figured out a route beforehand. However, with all that said, it's an excellent way to see Scotland and have some great narration of its history.

We booked a bus tour to the lochness, glencoe and highlands. The tour was fun and educational.. It was rainy but our tour bus driver Peter was so amazing and there was no dull moment while he was driving us to different places.. He is well informed with Scotland's history and stories abt the lochs and castles and all the distilliries too.. If ever we come back to take a bus tour again in scotland We would choose Peter to be our tour guide again.. Kudos Sir Peter. 's math a rinn thu Cheers

I had a fantastic day yesterday at the west Highlands lochs, mountains and castles tour. Our guide Mary and our driver Marco were both great and share so many interesting stories to keep us engaged. You definitely get to see a lot! Beautiful Highland scenery, plenty of lochs and castles. You even get the time to visit 2 of them if you choose to do so. Definitely recommended if you are short on time but still want to experience something extra.

Great guide, beautiful scenery, well organized tour

Great guide, well organized tour, beautiful scenery. The bus stops a lot by these tourists trap places, with all the Scotland merch and less than mediocre food. Would have preferred more scenic stops. The guide was truly amazing, a lot of fun information and the tour was basically a stand up comedy show, we really enjoyed it.

Everything really

Everything really, guide very informative. Only negative is short time in Aberfoyle as very short time to enjoy food which was rushed and had to be eaten on bus by time food ordered ( fish and chips) ,would have preferred to stay in Loch Lomond longer and have lunch there without rush and given Aberfoyle a miss.

Breathtaking landscapes !

A trip with a great guide Brian who passionately shared the history of Scotland. We didn't see the time of the bus ride pass thanks to his funny anecdotes and his music. We visited the Urquart Castle, cruised on the Loch Ness, stopped to see Glencoe, Fort William and the Hairy Coo … With the sun, Just a perfect Day 🤩

Alex at Timberbush was the best!!

Alex was an absolutely wonderful driver guide. He shared so many great stories and directions to sites prior to getting there so we had plenty of advance to know what we were seeing and the importance. Being from the area, he also shared some lovely stories of his own experience on the Isle of Skye. If I could take every tour with Alex, I would!!

Overall experience visiting Lochness and Scottish Highlands…

Overall experience visiting Lochness and the highlands was very good. The drive was scenic, weather was great, stops were just right and Scott did an amazing job keeping us engaged by telling stories and historical events pertaining to places, clans and Scottish people! Loved the songs as well and everything went as planned and on time. Would do it again if we can!

Wonderful experience in Highland

It's been a lovely experience with the Timeberbush tours. The booking process is very efficient, we got every information we needed. And our tour guide Andy is very friendly, responsible, great driving and very funny with his stories. This two days tour in the highland is a fantastic experience.

A fabulous tour which gave us a great flavour of the Highlands. Well planned to see important sites and beautiful scenery, including seeing and following the Harry Potter Jacobite train . Coach very comfortable and plenty of comfort breaks. Timing at stops sufficient too. Icing on the cake was our guide and driver, Marita. She was excellent. Gave us a comfortable and safe drive, along with lots of interesting info as well as her fun, uplifting personality. Thanks Martina !! Also, Timberbush Tours for a great day

Andy S is THE BEST :-)

Andy S made our Tour very enjoyable. He is humourous, courteous, always smiling and an excellent driver. Timberbush is very lucky to have Andy S. Thank you Andy S and Timberbush for a memorable two days tour to Isle of Skye & other places.

Bucket list stuff

Bucket list stuff! Absolutely stunning scenery and now we can say have been to Loch Ness... My husband and I had mixed feelings about joining a 13 hour tour. Our bus was full when we boarded so again wasn't sure what to expect... Bottom line extremely well organised and that was down to our fantastic driver Sean who kept the days schedule going without a hitch. His commentary was relevant, amusing and the music he chose was good too( just the right volume) during the longer drives Anyway- bottom line just go on one of these tours (I hope you get Sean) you won't regret it

Exceeded expectations

Exceeded expectations. Spent heaps of time outdoors which was awesome. Lots of time to roam freely. Excellent driving by our driver and guide,Brian (and the stories) which kept the motion sickness at bay. Big thanks to him for also ensuring we caught our train to the Cairngorm area. Had a wonderful time on this trip. We were so very lucky to join the small group tour.

A really beautiful tour....

A really beautiful tour that takes your right through the Loch Lomond National Park. If you wanna see one of the most used castles in movies, you get the chance to visit Doune Castle. Inverary Castle, another castle on this tour is not only beautiful on the outside and the charming city by Loch Fyne worth a visit. Our tour guide Mary and driver Marco made sure we get the most out of our trip and had some suprises for us during the day which where just offering stunning views. If you are very lucky, you even get a chance to spot local wildlife such as deer, foxes, hares, pheasants and lots of sheep and hairy coos. The day ends with a stunning view from Rest & be thankful Pass. You really missing out something if you don't take this tour. Thumbs up.

Thank you Timberbush and our guide, Will

We want to thank our guide, Will! We loved his stories and really appreciated the information he provided of the area and its rich history and beauty. His deep knowledge of history was evident and you can see that he enjoyed sharing it with us. I can’t thank Will enough for making the day memorable for me and my daughter. Thank you again, Will!

Thankyou Timberbush and Brian

Brian made it special. The tour was well managed. The stories the jokes the fun was all done very well. We were not able to go to Loch Ness due to some traffic conditions but the company informed us about it well in advance n also refunded half of our fees and also managed to cover additional spots. Wud surely recommend timberbush and our guide Brian.

Best Day Trip

A day trip to the Scottish Highlands with Timberbush Tours with the tour guide Liall was ✨THE BEST✨. Liall was very descriptive of all the places we stopped by with rich history and the view was spectacular! And his music collections add another specialty to this trip. Thank you Liall for making this trip one of the best experiences whilst my time in Scotland.

Thank you Kathleen & Sinclair for a wonderful day. The bus was so comfortable and we felt very safe with Kathleen’s driving. We loved all the sites we were shown. We loved your commentary Sinclair and the tour was the perfect length. We felt we saw everything worth seeing and thank you both for your warm friendly manner.

Tour of Skye

Recently went on a tour of Inverness/Loch Ness/ Isle of Skye with Timberbush Tours - would recommend this company with 10 stars. Our drivers name was Liall - and he kept the information coming - giving history , fairy tales and stories of the surrounding areas , pointed out local wild life , and was friendly and good spirits the entire trip. The bus was clean , comfortable - and made plenty of stops for a drink and facilities.

It was a fantastic journey along ones of the most beautiful landmarks of Scotland.. Our driver Alex was very nice and careful, always gave us enough time for pictures and shopping, gave us important tips, played beautiful Scottish music along the way, ans told us interesting stories. A very much recommended trip!

John is a knowledgeable driver

John was a fun, friendly & incredibly informative tour guide. So much knowledge to share on the history of Scotland in general as well as the places we passed through. He was careful to make sure we knew the spacing of the food & toilet stops, and could tell us what kind of food was available at each stopping point. A great way to see the Scottish highlands without getting too wet!

I just finished my 3 day Isle of Sky tour as a solo traveler and had the best time! Our guide, Kenny, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, entertaining, and able to make quick last minute changes to the itinerary when necessary. It often felt like we had stops to ourselves when we arrived, and would see large groups arriving as we were leaving, so his timing was impeccable. We saw the most beautiful places, and Kenny told the most interesting history stories. I would love to take another tour with Timberbush and will definitely ask for Kenny!!

Efficient and Pleasant Isle of Skye Day Tour

We’ve had a great time on our day tour to the Isle of Skye from Inverness (with Andy S). The commentary along the way was very entertaining and Andy was extremely patient while “herding cats” (AKA our tour group). The trip’s program was very efficient and the excursion overall was a very good value for the money. The only minor complaint I have pertains to the vehicle itself: I wish the bus seats were just a bit wider. They might fit children, teenagers, and very skinny people well, but any man with the slightest bulk in their shoulders or woman with curves is going to be uncomfortable (and believe me, after the whole day squished like sardines in a can, the discomfort will be apparent).

Neil is the best!

Neil was an amazing tour guide! He was such a great story teller and so knowledgeable about the history of the area. He created such a fun and welcoming environment. Neil is also an amazing driver. He made backing in tight spaces and crowed parking lots look easy. I would love to tour with him and Timberbush again.

Alex was a great tour guide for our day…

Alex was a great tour guide for our day trip to Isle of Skye - informative, humorous and very safe handling the bigger bus. I’d highly recommend him to everyone.

Andy S gave a us an excellent tour of the Isle of Skye. My family and I were on the 2-day tour this weekend and we had a wonderful time, made better by Andy’s great sense of humour 😀

Come rain come shine: it was perfectly fine!

We had a real interesting and fun experience. In one day we saw a great part of the Scottish highlands. Though it was raining for a big part of the day Wendy did everything she could to make it a real fun day. We were in Edinburgh for 4 days and decided to do this one one the second day as an extra way of discovering Schotland. Thanks Wendy and Marcello for this unforgettable experience ♥️

Andy is very knowledgeable and friendly and patient. He successfully took 27 people from all over the world on a 12-hour journey to Isle of Skye. He made it very interesting by all sorts of historical accounts and legends with much humor. I enjoyed the trip very much.

Highlands with Andy S

This is my first ever trip with Timberbush and must say I thoroughly enjoyed the trip :) Andy S is a wonderful guide. Responsible and punctual. Must say this is the first time ever I never had to rush back after every pitstops. Would love to come back again

Excellent experience

Mr.Brian did a great job. His stories and jokes kept us entertained throughout the trip. We got enough time in each stops and also few extra stops . Eventhough we didn’t go loch ness due to road closure , Brian made sure that he took us to some beautiful spots. It was awesome and more memorable!

The day was fantastic

The day was fantastic, with breathtaking panoramas, and above all the kindness and fascinating comments of our guide Sandy, so available and very attentive to the whole group ! You might think that a 12-hour bus tour is long, but actually not at all, thanks to the numerous stops for everyone's comfort. Thank you for this great experience !

The day trip to Loch Ness was A+. Would recommend to anybody who wants a rapid fire introduction to the highlands in a day! Natalie was an incredible guide- interesting history, great humour, amazing playlist! The time flew by- we really appreciated the multiple options available at Loch Ness, and the opportunity to explore Urquhart Castle. Very good!

Andy S is really a nice guy

Andy S is really a nice guy. A wonderful driver, a great guide, an excellent friend. He made this travel experience full of joy. Besides, the view is amazing, I do love the isle of skye.

Great tour!

Andy S was really informative and entertaining, it was great touring through the Isle of Skye with him! Definitely a great way to see everything and great value for money :)

Excellent tour with Alex

Alex was a great guide with extensive knowledge of the area. The weather was perfect and we had plenty of time to stop and enjoy the views and take photos. The tour was a perfect way to experience the beauty and history of the Isle of Skye!

Fabulous trip

Andy S was fabulous. He is really nice, friendly and passionate. We swapped the days to have a nice weather while doing the quaraig, kilt rock and have a nice picture on the old man of stor. The journey was lovely. Thank you so much for this experience.

Perfect experience

Our guide, Andy S. from Inverness, was super helpful, professional, knowledgeable and funny! He showed us around the best spots, always knew a thing or two that you wouldn't be able to read on the signs and also had a tailored playlist that really matched the vibe. Absolutely would recommend and book again!

Dear Dominic, Thanks for the review! We're glad your tour with Andy went well! He really does know how to showcase some of the best spots in Scotland with his humour and knowledge and we're glad you agree! We hope we can see you again on tour soon! Kind regards, Fatima

Excellent tour of Isle of Skye with Andy S from Inverness

Andy is very knowledgeable and friendly…

The day trip to Loch Ness was A+

All Business Strategies Fall into 4 Categories

Some are more creative than others.

The problem with strategy frameworks is that although they can help you determine whether an opportunity is attractive or whether a given strategy is likely to work, they generally don’t help you in the task of identifying the opportunity or crafting the strategy in the first place. This article introduces a framework, built on an in-depth analysis of the creativity literature, that aims to fill that gap by providing a systematic approach to identifying potential strategies. The framework categorizes all strategies into the following four groups, from the least creative to the most creative: adapting an existing industry strategy, combining different existing industry strategies, importing strategies from other industries, and creating a brand new strategy from scratch.

The problem with strategy frameworks is that although they can help you determine whether a given opportunity is attractive or whether a particular strategy is likely to work, they generally don’t help you in the task of identifying the opportunity or crafting the strategy in the first place. As the legendary strategy expert Gary Hamel put it: “ The dirty little secret of the strategy industry is that it doesn’t have any theory of strategy creation .”

  1. Timberbush Tours Reviews

Also seems a lot for one guide to manage 42 people, drive, guide, etc. Would recommend for better service and safety for Timberbush to continue with driver and guide even if it means more cost to us. Enjoyed the scottish music between guide messages. Would recommend this tour, especially if those corrections are made.
