Forza Horizon 5 is stuffed full of online activity to take part in during its winter season, however there are few that are more fun than the Horizon Tour. But what exactly is the Horizon Tour, what kind of race type, and what do you get for taking part? Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour: What Is The Horizon Tour?

The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour is one of the many activities that you can race through as part of the seasonal event. Forza Horizon 5 is currently in its winter season, offering up the ID Zerouno '18 and Subaru 22B vehicles, which you can only unlock by earning points. The Horizon Tour is one of those many ways to earn points. 

The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour itself is a three-race co-op event where players will face off in two teams of six, split between the red and blue team. The goal is to have the majority of your team place in the top six to earn points, and as such, you don't want to be running your team off the road just for you to get first place. The race takes place on dirt tracks and will use C-Class vehicles. Once any given race is over you will then drive collectively to the next race, and so on.

Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour: How To Access The Horizon Tour

The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour can easily be found in the Festival playlist. Just hit the pause button and find the playlist on the left of the world map. Once in there, you will be treated to the current reward cars, along with weekly and daily challenges. Scroll through to the right until you come across the various activities. On the bottom right, you should see the Horizon Tour Co-Op Championship. By clicking on it, you will be put into a waiting lobby, before eventually joining the Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour. Since this is a part of the winter season, you will only have until December 4 to take part in it.

Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour: Rewards

Of course, the ultimate reward for the Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour is to gain enough points to earn the latest legendary cars. For that, the Horizon Tour will grant you three Forza Points. For context, you will need 22 and 42 points to earn either of the reward cars. Additionally, from taking part in the event you will earn your usual rung of XP and skill points, which obviously increase depending on your position in the race. If this is your first Horizon Tour race, you will also earn the Tourist Attraction achievement.

If you went to the tour location and looked at it, it will say B700 Anything Goes. This is wrong. If you enter it, you will only be allowed to select your B class Minis and rent the JCW Mini stock. For those who are wondering about certain accolades, you will also notice a lack of an S2 event. So that Complete a Horizon Tour in a S2 vehicle accolade is currently unobtainable. I figured this might be useful for those who are looking for a time to sign up for the Volkswagen De Lux tomorrow and next week the GT cars without sitting there waiting for it to cycle. Each entry is good for 2 minutes, the entry on the list is the first minute and ends right at the next entry. This is how it's been since the game launched AFAIK. It is subject to change, but I'm not going to sit there and monitor it. It is also not random. Edit: Giving credit, a player on the Forums with the gamertag QQstarSS. May or may not be on TA, but figured I'd give credit. Also a huge bit of work from LSD51ZEN on there, page 2, for taking screenshots of each event with tracks, AND for correcting the 'posters' for the events as needed for the 4 that had to be corrected. We will have to see if anymore need correcting... Edit 2: So it seems we have had wrong info because we didn't test everything out. The 3 events that are supposedly Pick ups and 4x4s are ALSO mislabeled. They have been struck out and corrected above Not actually mislabeled, just missing information... (as have the mislabeled B Any to Minis). This new info is from the Horizon Tour thread on the official Forza forums, just passing it onto everyone here. I didn't test it myself because I didn't need the accolade for it. This list is now completely obsolete and I pulled a link from the forums with a new long long list. It's unclear to me if there's a regular rotation now or it's randomized. I've been watching for about 30 minutes, waiting for an S2 race with no luck. This person waited over an hour and didn't detect a regular rotation, though I suppose it could just be a very long rotation now. If anyone finds a new rotation list and especially when S2 happens, that would be great. It might be hard to find D and C also. I think I've only seen B, A, and S1 come up. Edit: FYI, S2 came up yesterday at 2:40pm EDT. I don't know if it will come up at that time again. As I waited, I also saw a D and a few C's, so those still come up too.

According to someone counting it has: D - 10 C - 34 B - 120 A - 308 S1 - 234 S2 - 14 X - 0 I have no idea if that list is repeated or not, but... yeah... Phear my Uber Gimpyness!

Sorry about that then. I don't know what to do then. I was going by the official forums where someone spent all day compiling the list. Did you adjust for the time zone? The top left of the chart says to start in UTC. Granted, I have not referred to this list myself yet, I still need to do an S2 and last night xbox was having issues, saying I had to be online to play any of my games so I gave up on it. I feel bad for the guy who spent a day compiling it then, meaning all of his work was for naught if it was random. Then again, such a massive list needing to be collected in a rapid fashion, he's had to worry about the type of race, type of vehicle, and the 3 tracks the tour takes place on. I certainly couldn't have done that, I have to work 5 days a week and also take care of family one the weekends, so I'm usually pretty busy. Phear my Uber Gimpyness!

Posted on 09 May 22 at 02:37 Hrm... looking over the list right now and comparing to what's in the game I am finding problems with some things not matching what's on the chart. Like at 2:20 it says S1 900 anything goes but it was A 800 anything goes. The tracks were correct though. Also yeah, I can see where you guys are saying that the times are not correct, like I have the UTC timer up on timeanddate.com and either I am 2 minutes back from that (my clock is set by internet) or these times are 2 minutes off. I would be putting the times in as "This is when this event begins collecting players" not the start time of the event itself. I guess if you are referring to the spreadsheet you would be looking ahead and not at the exact time, since you would already be looking at the screen and being ready. Phear my Uber Gimpyness!

Forza Horizon 5: How To Complete The Hot Wheels Park Tour Mission

This one is much easier than it seems at first glance.

As you work your way through Forza Horizon 5 's Hot Wheels DLC, you'll need to complete a series of missions to increase your Academy Rank. And once you're Pro Rank, you'll come across a mission called Hot Wheels Park Tour, which asks you to drive from Forest Falls to Giant's Canyon and then cross over into The Ice Cauldron in less than four minutes. It may sound like a heck of a drive, but you can actually shave a significant amount of time with a specific route. We'll tell you how to make that happen so that you can unlock those sweet 50 medals.

How to complete the Hot Wheels Park Tour mission

For starters, the Hot Wheels Park Tour mission requires that you drive an A-class car , so make sure you switch vehicles if you've been driving about using a different class.

Now, at first glance, you'd be forgiven for thinking that you need to begin your drive at the peak of Forest Falls, but the mission's text can actually be a little bit misleading. As a matter of fact, you can begin the mission at the very southern section of the forest biome, making for a much, much quicker drive. See below for exactly where to fast travel to begin the drive.

While staying in this location in the forest biome, set a route all the way to the other side of the map in the ice biome. See below for the exact location.

With your route set, you can set off to complete the Hot Wheels Park Tour mission, which you'll likely find that you finish in only a few short minutes. With those 50 medals in your possession, you'll be one step closer to becoming the Hot Wheels Legend.

Arriving in the middle of the art smorgasbord that’s the Cannes Film Festival , a three-hour Western directed by Kevin Costner sounded like it might be just the ticket for a perfect night of counterprogramming: a grandly scaled slice of neo-classical Hollywood. That, after all, describes the other two Westerns Costner has directed (“Dances with Wolves” and “Open Range”), as well as his quirky sci-fi pseudo-Western “The Postman.” There’s no question that “ Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1 ,” Costner’s fourth outing as a director, gives off some of that traditional flavor.

And that feels like a major disappointment. As a stand-alone film (which it isn’t, but let’s pretend for a moment), “Horizon” is by turns convoluted, ambitious, intriguing, and meandering. But it’s never quite moving. It’s too busy laying down narrative tracks and hammering out the minutiae of situations that don’t feel like they’re leading anywhere special.

Costner, to his credit, wants to nudge the Western away from a white hat/black hat mythology that’s now outdated. He wants shades of gray, and characters we can’t pigeonhole as heroes or villains (though there are a few of those). But too often the action feels hurried, both overstaged and underscripted. One of the key locales is the settlement of Horizon, advertised on handbills — a place that’s not quite a place yet, because when people show up to settle there they tend to get killed by the local Apache. We see an Apache raid that ends up in apocalyptic fire, and experience it from inside the home of Frances Kittredge ( Sienna Miller ) and her daughter, Diamond (Isabelle Fuhrman), the two of whom hide in a hole under the living room, which is so airtight that they have to poke a rifle out of the ground and use the gun barrel as a breathing tube. That’s a vivid detail, and then Frances loses her husband and son. But it’s jarring to take this all in before we’ve even had a sense of who this family is.

The Native characters are the attackers, but we see several extended scenes from their point-of-view. They are never “the other,” the simple enemy. That said, there are two speeches in the movie, one by an Apache war chief (Gregory Cruz) and one by a U.S. cavalry officer (Danny Huston), that address the fundamental issue of the Indigenous tribes trying to stop what they call the “white-eye” settlers who’ve invaded their land. And both speeches, weirdly, make the same point: that even if the Native people are justified, and even if they keep trying to fight the settlers, they’re doomed to lose. The settlers will keep coming. History is not on the Natives’ side. This seems an awfully definitive vision to hold in 1859. And while Costner doesn’t seem unsympathetic to his Native characters, it’s not clear, as of now, how much they’ll take on a life of their own.

There are also scenes set on a covered-wagon trail that center on the Proctors, an effete English couple who’ve joined the Westward movement. They have a very naïve and almost charmingly entitled attitude (they don’t realize that they have to work, too — that the other settlers are not their servants), but Matthew Van Weyden, the leader of the wagon train, sets them straight. He’s played by Luke Wilson, who is very good, shaking off any semblance of his usual irony. Meanwhile, Frances and her daughter wind up being taken care of at a U.S. Army encampment, where First Lieutenant Trent Gephart (Sam Worthington) attracts Frances’ attention by being both handsome and too gentlemanly for his own good.  

A few of these characters are interesting; none of them are memorable. “Horizon” is no “Lonesome Dove,” though Costner tries, and mostly succeeds, at setting aside Western clichés about what towns really looked like, and how frontier life worked. The real problem is the script (by Costner and Jon Baird), which is shapeless. It doesn’t weave these stories together; it stacks them next to each other like a series of cabooses. Yet I think the idea is that the design of it all will come into focus as we see “Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 2” (later this year), and then, at some point, “Chapter 3” (which is now scheduled) and maybe, if all goes according to plan, more chapters. I seriously hope not. I’m not sure how much juice there is to squeeze out of these characters, but even if there is some I don’t want to see movies turn into television. Just about every Western of the studio era came in at two hours or less, and so did most of the revisionist Westerns (and some of those were complicated ). There’s a reason for that. It’s all the time they needed.

Horizon: An American Saga trailer previews Kevin Costner’s epic Western movie

Warner Bros. Pictures has released a new trailer for Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga   ahead of its world premiere at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

The latest footage previews Costner’s sweeping epic about the Old West that’s set between 1861 and 1865. Costner’s Hayes Ellison travels to Horizon, a new town where he “might be able to see himself.” Expansion won’t be easy, as evidenced by the violent gun battles and fistfights in the trailer.

“Costner’s ambitious cinematic adventure will take audiences on an emotional journey across a country at war with itself, experienced through the lens of families, friends, and foes all attempting to discover what it truly means to be the United States of America,” the official synopsis reads.

Costner directed Horizon: An American Saga  from a script he co-wrote with Jon Baird. It’s Costner’s first directorial feature since 2003’s Open Range . Horizon: An American Saga  is a passion project and a huge gamble for Costner, who produced the film and mortgaged some of his land in Santa Barbara, California, to finance the film’s estimated $100 million budget. Costner famously won Best Director and Best Picture at the Oscars for his work on another Western, 1990’s Dance with Wolves .

Besides  Horizon,  Costner has been in the news recently for his comments about his unexpected departure from Yellowstone  season 5 . Despite leaving the series, Costner is still open to returning as John Dutton for the final run of episodes.

Horizon: An American Saga  will be split into two parts. Warner Bros. will release Chapter 1  on June 28, 2024, with  Chapter 2  arriving on August 16, 2024. Costner plans to make four Horizon films, with  Chapter 3 expected to begin filming this spring.

Blue Origin plans to launch its first private space tourist mission in nearly two years today (May 19), and you can watch it live online.

The mission is known as NS-25, because it will be the 25th to date for Blue Origin 's New Shepard suborbital vehicle. Six people will participate: Ed Dwight , the U.S.'s first-ever Black astronaut candidate; venture capitalist Mason Angel; Sylvain Chiron, the founder of French craft brewery Brasserie Mont Blanc; entrepreneur Kenneth L. Hess; retired accountant Carol Schaller; and pilot and aviator Gopi Thotakura. You can read more about each of them  here .

The launch window for NS-25 opens at 9:30 a.m. EDT (1330 GMT; 8:30 a.m. local time in West Texas, where the launch will take place). Space.com will carry Blue Origin's webcast on this page and on our home page; the stream is scheduled to begin 40 minutes before the launch window opens.

The last crewed Blue Origin flight,  NS-22 , happened in August 2022. Then, a month later during an uncrewed research mission, New Shepard  suffered an anomaly . The first-stage booster was destroyed, but vehicle's capsule came back safely under parachutes.

New Shepard flights were suspended as engineers examined and addressed the anomaly, which was a "thermo-structural failure" of the nozzle on the rocket's single BE-3PM engine. Suborbital flights resumed in December 2023  with the uncrewed NS-24 mission.

New Shepard is reusable, with the rocket touching down vertically shortly after liftoff, and the capsule (with passengers) coming down under parachutes roughly 11 minutes after liftoff.

Passengers experience a few minutes of weightlessness and get to see  Earth  against the blackness of space. Prices for New Shepard flights have not been released, but competitor Virgin Galactic's seats start at $450,000 apiece.

NS-25 will be the seventh crewed New Shepard flight. The vehicle's other 18 missions have been robotic research efforts.

Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga gets new trailer before Cannes premiere

Horizon: an american saga chapter one debuts in theaters june 28 after premiering at the cannes film festival.

Kevin Costner is premiering a film at the Cannes Film Festival for the very first time. That’s already an honor, but it’s made all the sweeter because it’s his passion project, Horizon: An American Saga . Costner has given pretty much everything for this film series—blood, sweat, tears, his marriage , his money (LOTS of his money), and in some ways, his reputation (at least in regards to finishing up Yellowstone ). Chapter One launches at Cannes and then premieres in theaters June 28, followed shortly by Chapter Two on August 16. For now, you can try to get a sense of whether it was all worth it in the new trailer released today.

Horizon is indeed epic in scale, a sprawling ensemble film with good guys and bad guys and big brawls and beautiful vistas. Per the Cannes description, Costner “chronicles the incredible epic journey of the expansion of the American West, before and after the Civil War. Between the Native Americans who saw their lands getting colonized and those who were determined to settle there, sometimes at any cost, history is being written. In a flamboyant fresco where multiple destinies intertwine, dreams and hopes face obstacles and cruelty to offer a cinematic spectacle of exceptional scope and emotional depth.”

Costner spoke at length about working on the film and bringing it to Cannes (and defended himself against allegations that he was at fault for Yellowstone stalling in a recent Deadline interview. Since he’s funding the Cannes trip on his own dime, he decided to take his female actors (Ella Hunt, Sienna Miller, Abbey Lee, Isabelle Fuhrman, and Wasé Chief) because “They’re never celebrated enough.” At the time, he was still tinkering with the film’s final cut. “I screened this movie at 3:15. First one was 3:52 and at first I didn’t know how to get five minutes out of that. Then I took it to 3:29, then 3:24, then I got it to 3:15. I screened that in Vegas, and then got down to 3:06. I didn’t think it had an inch more to go. Then I dropped beneath three hours. Got to 2:50, now I’m at 2:45, but I’m going to put some back,” he said. “ I do think about all this, because I own it. Would I like a screen time that allowed me an extra show each day? Nobody would like that more than me.”

Having invested so much of his own money into the series (he’s set to begin shooting chapters three and four later this month, which he believes will push him “over $100 million”), Costner said he has to consider not just the initial box office but the long term. “A lot of people that like my movies, they can’t get to a theater, and they’re waiting for that moment. You can’t make your film for the opening weekend. You have to make it for its life,” he opined. “So I’ll go to Cannes, it’s a great honor, then do Jimmy Kimmel, and then I’ll fly to my set and start directing.”

Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1 had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. Here's our review... 

It's hard to believe that Kevin Costner hasn’t directed a film since 2003’s Open Range . That was a western - as was, of course, Best Picture winner Dances With Wolves (1990), the first film that saw him take to the director’s chair. Now he’s back with a gargantuan project, Horizon: An American Saga, a classical horse opera in the John Ford mould that will reportedly span four films (Chapter 2 is already slated for release in August). 

A kaleidoscopic ensemble piece, Chapter 1 is set during the time of the American Civil War. Exploring the expansion of the American West, it follows white settlers across the landscapes of Wyoming and Montana as they make their way to a town called Horizon. The environment proves to be a hostile one; early on, Costner lets rip with an astonishing scene involving an ambush by two dozen Native Americans. 

Among those facing the carnage is Frances (Sienna Miller), a mother of two who hides out beneath ground with her daughter as their house is torched. The sequence ably captures just how bloody life in the Old West could be, although danger seems to lurk around every corner – even scorpions that scuttle into people’s shoes come with a deadly bite. Others in this world include tough-as-nails women played by Jena Malone and Abbey Lee, the latter a single mother who eventually finds her way to Costner’s veteran cowpoke Hayes Ellison. 

Scripted by Costner and author Jon Baird, running at three hours, Chapter 1 is as unhurried as they come. It takes considerable relish in establishing characters who, in some cases at least, have much more story to tell. Among those that intrigue are Sam Worthington’s dashing United States Army First Lt. Trent Gephardt, for whom romance blossoms as the film progresses. Further texture comes courtesy of sturdy turns from such stalwarts as Danny Huston, Will Patton, and Michael Rooker. Meanwhile, the due attention paid to the Indigenous characters is hopefully a sign of more to come. 

Rounding off with a Chapter 2 preview montage, Horizon feels like episodic TV for the cinema, conceived on the grandest of scales. 

Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1 is released in US theaters and UK cinemas on June 28.

The second trailer for Kevin Costner 's upcoming film, Horizon: An American Saga has dropped, and it continues to showcase the risks and dangers of the Wild West. This Western epic features a star-studded ensemble who have appeared in notable projects from different genres, and all have gathered to grab a piece of what the Wild West can offer. They just have to be strong and tough enough to grab it.

This newest trailer depicts a more sinister and dangerous setting, where the people have their own motives and will do whatever it takes to achieve their goals, even if it means pillaging and plundering settlements. Just like the first trailer , it continues to tease this "promising place" called "Horizon," a town that promises riches and a chance for a new beginning. Unfortunately, their hope comes with risk as settlements get constantly attacked, and people are being warned that some wouldn't want to share their land and that whatever they build will be burned down. All they can do is to "keep going," even if it means settling things down with violence. The trailer also revealed that this western epic will be released in two parts, both coming out in 2024.

After it was announced that Costner left his role in Yellowstone after 5 seasons , it became possible for him to pursue this project. While two chapters will be making their way to theaters, it was reported that Horizon will have a total of four parts , and Chapter 3 is currently in the works .

According to an officia press release, Horizon: An American Saga will be set during the American Civil War period. The film's official synopsis reads " Horizon: An American Saga explores the lure of the Old West and how it was won — and lost — through the blood, sweat and tears of many. Spanning the four years of the Civil War, from 1861 to 1865, Costner’s ambitious cinematic adventure will take audiences on an emotional journey across a country at war with itself, experienced through the lens of families, friends and foes all attempting to discover what it truly means to be the United States of America.”

Who Stars in 'Horizon: An American Saga'?

Not only is Costner directing and writing Horizon: An American Saga , he's also going to star in it, playing the role of Hayes Ellison. This film also features a massive cast list, featuring many who have starred in noteworthy roles in their career. Some of them include Avatar 's Sam Worthington , The Hunger Games ' Jena Malone , The Walking Dead 's Tom Payne , and Stranger Things ' Jamie Campbell Bower .
