The Grand Tour Game  puts players behind the wheel of the cars from Season 3, and brings them to the iconic locations the hosts will visit this season, including  The Grand Tour 's signature Eboladrome test track. Featuring seamless transitions from clips of the show to gameplay, plus hours of original voice acting from Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May,  The Grand Tour Game  is infused with the show's trademark humour and banter.

In  The Grand Tour Game,  players can not only follow in the guys' tire tracks, but race and challenge each other face-to-face.  The Grand Tour Game  features four-player splitscreen, so players can race against each other—and hurl their best insults—in-person. Cheeky power-ups like High Tea, which spills tire-shredding cups and saucers, and More Horsepowers, which lets you blow past the competition, help make the action unpredictable, and keep racers on their toes.

Though designed around the series as much as possible so that one may follow each episode as closely as possible, some artistic licence and copyright negotiation was taken by the developers so that the game may be released.

One of the most jarring copyright-related differences was the Jaguar XE SV Project 8, which appears completely obscured in bubble wrap due to the car's exclusive licence deal with Electronic Arts. Another is the senna which was completely cut out and replaced by the 720s review from season 2. This was done due to the senna's licencing to turn 10 studios and Forza Motorsport/Horizon.

As a game, there is no getting away from the fact that this is just an extremely basic arcade racer which pales alongside some of the bigger and better-known racing franchises. But as a way of delivering new and episodic game content, and merging TV and video games, it is quite innovative and really works.

As an experiment, it provides Amazon with plenty of useful results, all of which indicate something very different is needed to combine TV and gaming media.

Viewed in context, there’s plenty of fun to be had here for fans of the show.

The actual interactive component of The Grand Tour Game is really quite poor, with awful handling and dated presentation making the races and challenges vastly inferior to the segments they attempt to replace, in between clips from the show you've already seen.

What Happened To The Grand Tour Game?

The Grand Tour found itself to be one of the most popular shows uploaded to Amazon Prime Video when it was first released late 2016. The show continued the legacy of Top Gear and its presenters, Jeremy Clarkson , Richard Hammond, and James May , and gave the hosts higher budgets to play with, new ideas, and reportedly, a much higher income than their previous BBC contracts.

Gaining huge popularity, The Grand Tour Game was revealed in January of 2019. The game followed the story of the episodes and mixed real clips from the show with gameplay, merging the two media incredible well. And while this was a brilliant idea, reviews came back as mixed.

Fans of the show loved the game, but could be described as being biased. On the whole, the game received very mixed reactions, with many praising the game for its new take on a gaming experience, but with sub-par graphics and weak gameplay. We didn’t hear a lot about the game since then, and now it looks as though the team behind it have silently swept it under the rug, despite promised of it being updated to run parallel to future Grand Tour episodes.

The game has been removed from all storefronts, and after July 31st, all bonus content will expire and not be available to those who purchased it. Amazon has removed the following conus content:

It was absolutely awful. I played it for a couple of weeks and never opened it again. Honestly, I’d forgotten it even existed.

I played it and as someone who is into racing games it was a below average racer but…..it was alot of fun! Had the Mario Kart like feel to it and playing with a few friends was quite interesting. Shame it’s being dropped, was looking forward to watching it’s evolution as the series went on and the people that make grow as a studio.

I own the game amd absolutely love it! It is definitely one of my favorite car games.. Bought it about a year or so ago on my PS4 Pro..

Still have it installed on my xbox. It’s a fun split screen racing game to play with the kids as it’s super simplified controls

Not the worst Licensed Game

The Good I Like that you have all Characters of the Real Show. Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond. Also this Game has real Cars not some kinda Fake cars you could get in other 15€/$ Car Games. The Bad The Controls are pretty bad and varies too much with different Cars. Also some Kind of Missions in Story mode are repeating too much like Same Track, Different Car 3 times because you have to do it also with James, Richard & Jeremy. If you finished your weekly Story because you get a new Episode every Friday till Season 3 is finished of the Grand tour Show you kinda don't know what to do. There is no online race and race against AI is also very boring and you don't have many tracks. The Bottom Line This Game is perfect for Fans of the Grand Tour Show. Maybe also if you like James, Richard & Jeremy but it's nothing for you if you want a cheap Forza or Gran Tourismo.

Gran Turismo Trailer Teases Neill Blomkamp's Video Game Adaptation

The Gran Turismo movie is inspired by both a true story and the video game series of the same name.

The first trailer for the upcoming video game adaptation, Gran Turismo , teases director Neill Blomkamp’s inspiring vision for bringing the series to the big screen. Released courtesy of Sony Pictures Releasing , the footage offers a glimpse at the kind of intense, white-knuckle races that you would expect, while also teasing the somewhat unexpected human drama that will anchor the adaptation. Rather than somehow simply transform the popular racing game into live action, Gran Turismo will instead be based on the inspiring true story of an impossible dream. As well as bringing the PlayStation series of racing simulation video games to life, Gran Turismo will also tell the true story of a teenage Gran Turismo player named Jann Mardenborough, whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional race car driver.

The Gran Turismo movie is directed by District 9 and Elysium filmmaker Neill Blomkamp from a screenplay by Jason Hall and Zach Baylin, and stars Midsommar and See star Archie Madekwe as Jann Mardenborough, the aspiring teenage driver given the opportunity of a lifetime. Gran Turismo Marks a Change of Pace for Director Neill Blomkamp

Developed by Polyphony Digital and produced by Kazunori Yamauchi, the origins of Gran Turismo can be tracked all the way back to 1992. Designed to emulate both the appearance and performance of a wide selection of racing vehicles, as well as putting players in the driving seat, a number of installments in the Gran Turismo have been released across every version of the PlayStation with the video game now the highest selling video game franchise under the PlayStation brand.

Bringing the video game and true story to life marks a real change of pace for director Neill Blomkamp, who has become largely known for topical sci-fi outings such as District 9 and Chappie . Star David Harbour though has praised the filmmaker saying, "Neill is so cool and such a good director that it's really been a joy to work on this movie, and this movie's going to be... 2024 PGA Championship odds: Scottie Scheffler favorite to continue grand slam pursuit, Rory McIlroy near top

Valhalla is set to host this year's pga championship, and the odds board has adjusted since the masters.

With the PGA Tour's season rolling onward to its second major championship with the 2024 Masters now in the book, the 2024 PGA Championship is just around the corner. Valhalla will serve as host for the first time since 2014 and fourth time in its history as the best golfers in the world convene to begin action on May 16.

You might not believe this, but Scottie Scheffler is the favorite. Scheffler has won four of his last five tournaments -- including the Masters by four shots -- and has lost to just one other golfer since March 1. He has made $16.3 million in that span, third-most in a single season despite the 2024 campaign not having reached its halfway point.

Scheffler is now a stunning 7/2 favorite to win the PGA, which would put him halfway to the 2024 grand slam, a feat nobody has ever accomplished in a single season. In fact, odds for Scheffler to pull it off are now an eye-popping 40-1.

The closest anyone has come to a grand slam in recent years came was 2015 when Jordan Spieth won the first two majors, finished one shot out of a playoff in the third and then finished second in the fourth. It would not be surprising if Scheffler put together a similar major championship season.

• Viktor Hovland: 18-1
• Ludvig Åberg: 18-1

McIlroy won the PGA last time it was at Valhalla, but that was 10 years ago when he won two consecutive majors to collect Nos. 3 and 4 at the age of 25. A lot has happened since then, but McIlroy is still a tremendous player. And while he has not had the season he expected or that his last two seasons portended, he's still a threat here (though 9-1 is short). Koepka is the defending champion as he and Hovland engaged in a great battle last year at Oak Hill. Neither is playing as well this time around. Åberg is probably a better bet at 18-1 than either of those two.

The interesting players here are Clark and DeChambeau at 25-1. The latter will be in the field following his best Masters appearance to date; he's seemingly in terrific form. The former is the reigning U.S. Open champion coming off an awesome PGA Tour year behind Scheffler. He is also probably better suited to being a bit of a bomb-and-gouge guy, which is typically how PGAs have been set up in recent years (as opposed to the Masters and Open Championship).

Young intrigues me. An excellent major player, who should be able to decimate this golf course. He was good at the Masters and had a T3 at the 2022 PGA Championship at Southern Hills. I would not love him at 20-1 ... but at 40-1? Absolutely.

A Gamer Goes on a High-Octane Adventure in First 'Gran Turismo' Trailer

'Gran Turismo' stars David Harbour and Orlando Bloom.

Sony Pictures has released the trailer for Gran Turismo , the highly anticipated sports racing film based on the popular video game series of the same name. While the film itself is based on the overarching game, Gran Turismo's plot is actually based on the unlikely true story of an amateur gamer turned real race car driver.

Gran Turismo introduces the tale of Jann Mardenborough (Archie Madekwe) , a British racer who seeks to turn professional by winning Sony and Nissan's GT Academy competition, which sees the best Gran Turismo players in the world come together in a pedal-to-the-medal tournament. Also shown in the trailer is David Harbour , who will portray Mardenborough's trainer, Jack Salter, as well as Orlando Bloom , who will portray a sports marketing executive. All indications point to Gran Turismo being a high-octane adventure indicative of classic racing films.

While specific plot details remain close to the cuff, a logline for the film describes it as "the ultimate wish fulfillment tale of a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional race car driver." The real-life Mardenborough did indeed train to become a pro race car driver after winning a Sony-sponsored competition pitting the best Gran Turismo players against each other. Madekwe, known for his role in A24's Midsommar, will topline the film alongside an ensemble cast that includes Harbour, Bloom, Djimon Hounsou , Thomas Kretschmann, and Darren Barnett.

The Road to the Screen for Gran Turismo Has Been a Long One

While Gran Turismo is set for a summer release, there have been no shortages of roadblocks getting it made. Sony, which is no stranger to video game adaptations given its ownership of Playstation, had a Gran Turismo film in the works as far back as 2013 , but this never panned out. In May 2022, it was announced that a new version of the film was in development, with Sony tapping District 9 helmer Neill Blomkamp to direct . Things began to heat up after that, with Madekwe, Harbour, and Bloom all boarding that September. Filming wrapped in December 2022.

Blomkamp directed the film off a screenplay by Jason Hall and Zach Baylin. The film will be produced by Doug Begrad for 2.0 Entertainment, Dana Brunetti for Trigger Street Productions, and Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan for Playstation Productions.

Gran Turismo is set to be released by Sony on Aug. 11, 2023. The film's new trailer can be seen below:

THE final of the World Snooker Championship is finally upon us at The Crucible!

Stuart Bingham may have dumped Ronnie O'Sullivan out of the tournament, but the Englishman couldn't claim a spot in this year's final after a 17-12 defeat to qualifier Jak Jones.

Kyren Wilson booked his place in this year's World Championship last-two with a 17-11 win over David Gilbert in the semis.

While the final is planned for four sessions, this evening could be the most pivotal in this year's final.

Jak Jones needs to bring his game and try to claw his way back into this match.

If he can find his form and convincingly win the session tonight, he could be back in this final.

Wilson concedes the frame and there is huge applause to the Welshman winning his first frame of the final.

He needs to go and reset now before they come back to the table for the evening session.

The main thing is, he did not suffer a session whitewash.

During the interval Jak Jones opted to not go to the practice room and it is baffling many.

Wilson is currently on a break of 60 and is looking likely to win yet another frame.

Jones has a chance to get some points on the board but can only add 8.

His safety leaves a loose long red which Wilson takes on but it rattles in the jaw.

Once again in this frame, Jak Jones is presented with a chance to build some confidence in this match.

What a sensational break of 125 from Kyren Wilson.

He is breaking away in this final while his opponent is struggling to fine any sort of form, Wilson is on fire.

With two frames remaining in the session, he now has a six frame lead.

Every pot he takes on, he is miles off where he should be.

Wilson is in fine form and just ready to punish any mistakes.

He is currently on a break of 39 and the face of Jones in his seat seems like he would want to be anywhere else but here right now.

Things are going from bad to worse for Jak Jones.

He tries to go for an attacking pot after Wilson gives him a glimpse of an opening but he misses and the cue ball breaks the pack.

Jones needs to find a way back into this match and that all starts by getting his first frame under his belt.

Wilson is just so good with the rest and has quickly got into a break of 65.

He gets his angles all wrong and misses the pot.

After playing a safety, Wilson opens up another chance for himself with all the reds well spread.

He is currently 13-12 down in the frame.

Jones misses a black and presents the frame to Wilson.

Wilson takes the frame 83-35 to go into a two-frame lead.

Jak Jones really needs to get a frame under his belt to settle his nerves in his first Crucible final.

After a break of 24, Jones rattles a red along the cushion at the bottom of the table.

Wilson cuts the missed ball in and has the chance to seal the frame but can only add 8 as he misses an uncharacteristic pink into the middle.

He still leads the frame 60-29, it all remains to be seen what Jones can manufacture from here.

After a break of 52, Wilson misses a pot with the rest, not something you will see from him.

With the reds open, this is a massive chance for Jones to settle his nerves.

He has a massive chance to steal this frame, currently trailing 52-14.

Wilson seems to be in great form from the off here.

Jones leaves him a testing pot but he finds the middle of the pocket as you would expect.

The Welshman is struggling to settle in this final while Wilson is taking full advantage.

He is currently on a break of 33, leading the frame 33-5.

We can already see the format of how these frames will pan out.

The early stages of any frame will be about cue ball safety, especially after the break of Wilson in hte last frame.

Whoever buckles first has to return to their seat and wonder if they will get another visit.
