Passport to Performances

Passport to Performances brings Columbia students free tickets to performances from world-class New York City venues, including Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Opera, and the New York Philharmonic. Tickets are exclusively announced through our email newsletter and won’t be listed on our website, so sign up for our email list to find out when you get these first-come first-served tickets throughout the year.

Tickets are announced shortly before they are available to be picked up in person at the Ticket and Information Center in the lobby of Lerner Hall. Free tickets are limited and first-come first-served. Limit 2 tickets per person, only available to current students with a Columbia ID. No returns or exchanges. Lost tickets cannot be replaced.

ArtsLink Opera

Columbia, SC – The Fireflies started off their three-game homestand with a 10-2 loss to the Augusta GreenJackets Monday evening at Segra Park. The GreenJackets got on the board first in the top of the second inning. Kade Kern led things off with a single and came around on a

Columbia, SC – The Fireflies started off their three-game homestand with a 10-2 loss to the Augusta GreenJackets Monday evening at Segra Park.

The GreenJackets got on the board first in the top of the second inning. Kade Kern led things off with a single and came around on a Jacob Godman ground out to break the scoreless tie. Augusta wasn’t done there though. Cam Magee singled, advanced to second on a wild pitch and came around on a Leiker Figueroa single to make the visitor’s advantage 2-0 heading to the bottom of the second.

Augusta tallied on three more runs in the fifth. Robert Gonzalez singled with one out and stole second before coming around on a throwing error from center fielder Erick Torres . After Logan Martin (L, 1-2) walked Isaiah Drake , Luis Sanchez singled to set the table for Kade Kern . The right fielder flared a base knock to right center to score the two base runners and move Augusta’s lead to 5-1.

The GreenJackets tagged Martin for two more runs before he left the game with five innings of work and two additional batters faced. Doug Kirkland gave up one hit in his first inning of relief work. It was a double down the right field line from Robert Gonzalez that scored Cam Magee and Jacob Godman , who Kirkland inherited, to drive Augusta in front 7-2.

Hyungchan Um gave the Fireflies their first spark in the fourth inning. He led the frame off with his first Carolina League homer down the left field line to cut Augusta’s lead to 2-1.

Columbia got another run in the bottom of the fifth. Blake Mitchell hammered his second double of the night with two away, moved to third on a balk from Adel Dilone and then scored on a wild pitch before the third out of the frame was recorded. It cut Augusta’s lead to 5-2. Mitchell finished the night with a pair of doubles and a run scored.

Yimi Presinal allowed three runs to come around in the eighth before Nicholas Regalado closed the contest out with a scoreless ninth.

Columbia continues their series with the Augusta GreenJackets tomorrow night at Segra Park at 7:05 pm. RHP Jonatan Bernal (0-0, 2.25 ERA) takes the slab for Columbia and Augusta counters with RHP Jeremy Reyes (1-2, 1.56 ERA).

Volleyball Announces 2024 Schedule and Season Tickets

COLUMBIA, Mo. –  The University of Missouri volleyball team announced Monday its 2024 schedule and season tickets. The campaign features 12 regular-season home matches at the Hearnes Center including a home-opening tournament Sept. 13-15.

The schedule is highlighted by 10 matchups against NCAA Tournament teams from this previous season including back-to-back NCAA National Champion Texas.

The Tigers will host their Black & Gold Scrimmage Aug. 18 before facing Omaha in exhibition play on Aug. 25.

Mizzou will commence the 2024 regular season at Creighton's Bluejay Invitational Aug. 30-Sept. 1 in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Tigers will host Kansas City (Missouri-Kansas City), UT Martin and Lindenwood in its home-opening Mizzou Invitational Sept. 13-15 at the Hearnes Center.

Missouri will also compete in the NKU Invitational Sept. 6-8 in Highland Heights, Kentucky, and the Lipscomb Tournament, a two-match set against Lipscomb and Illinois in Nashville, Tennessee, Sept. 19-20, before the 2024 SEC slate.

The SEC schedule is a single round robin plus two, as every team will play a 16-match league schedule with each team playing each other at least one time and getting two teams twice. For 2024, Missouri will face off twice, both home and away, with Kentucky and Mississippi State.

League action kicks off on Sept. 27 with a trip to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for a Tigers battle at LSU before heading to Texas A&M on Sept. 29.

Mizzou then stays on the road for the first of two meetings with Kentucky in 2024, facing off with the Wildcats Oct. 6 in Lexington, Kentucky, to commence the home-and-home series.

MU hosts in-state foe SEMO Oct. 9 to open a four-match home stand. Following the Tigers final non-conference matchup, Mizzou will also host Alabama (Oct. 11), Tennessee (Oct. 13) and Mississippi State (Oct. 20) to commence Mizzou's SEC home slate.

Missouri then hits the road for a three-match stint, starting with Arkansas (Oct. 25) before trips to SEC newcomers Oklahoma (Oct. 27) and Texas (Nov. 1).

The Tigers then return to Columbia for a three-match homestand with meetings against Georgia (Nov. 6), South Carolina (Nov. 10) and Florida (Nov. 15).

Mizzou then goes back on the road for its final pair of away matchups, touring Mississippi with stops at Ole Miss (Nov. 22) and Mississippi State (Nov. 24, second of two matches in 2024).

Missouri wraps the league season with a pair of Thanksgiving matches. The Tigers conclude their series with Kentucky Nov. 27 before hosting Senior Day against Auburn on Nov. 30.

Season tickets for the 2024 Tigers' home slate are on sale now.

Following Mizzou's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2020, fans can purchase season tickets (general admission) for the 12-match slate for $50. Tiger Row season tickets are $120 for the season.

Matchday 2 at Copa America 2024 wraps up on Friday, June 28 with Group D, starting with Colombia and Costa Rica taking the pitch at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

The match is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on FS1 and TUDN . Fans looking to watch can do so through FuboTV or DirecTV Stream , both of which offer a free trial. SlingTV doesn’t offer a free trial but does have other promotional offers available .

Fans who want tickets to the match can find them on StubHub , SeatGeek and VividSeats .

Colombia enters the match as the only squad in Group D with a win. A 2-1 victory over Paraguay earned Colombia 3 points and has the squad in great position to advance to the quarterfinals. It closes the Group Stage against Brazil.

Costa Rica earned a draw against Brazil in Matchday 1 as neither squad found the back of the net over the course of 90 minutes. Costa Rica takes on Paraguay next in a match that will likely determine whether or not Costa Rica advances to the next round.

Argentina has clinched a spot in the quarterfinals at Copa America, but the last match wasn’t all good news for the defending champions.

A 1-0 win over Chile was overshadowed by a potential injury to Lionel Messi. As explained by the Associated Press , Messi took some time off the pitch in the middle of the first half to have a the area around his right thigh treated.

Messi, who just turned 37, said it was “nothing serious” after the win.

“It’s bothering me a little bit but I was able to finish the match,” Messi said. “It was hard for me to move freely, particularly side to side. We’ll see tomorrow how it feels.”

Messi played the entire game and Argentina’s 88th minute winner came off a corner from Messi that ended up in the back of the net thanks to Lautaro Martínez getting control following a scramble.

Messi also said he’d been dealing with a fever and sore throat recently.

Argentina closes out the Group Stage against Peru.

Paul will bring his acclaimed 'Got Back' tour to South America and Europe later this year! Fulfilling his promise to 'get back', Paul will return to Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Peru and Mexico, then head to France, Spain and the UK. His first show of 2024 will take place on 1st October in Montevideo. U.S. Senior Open: How to watch Monday finish from Newport

The final round of the U.S. Senior Open resumed Monday, July 1 at 8 a.m. ET. Hiroyuki Fujita holds a three-shot lead through 10 holes, as he looks to go wire-to-wire at Newport Country Club and win for the first time on American soil.

Major season continues on PGA TOUR Champions this week with the 44th U.S. Senior Open Championship at Newport Country Club in Newport, Rhode Island. It is the third of five majors during the 2024 season.

Each winner dating back to 2013 is in this week’s field, including defending champion Bernhard Langer, who captured his record-setting 46th victory on PGA TOUR Champions last year at SentryWorld in Wisconsin. 2022 champion Padraig Harrington comes to Newport having won last week’s DICK’S Open for the third consecutive time. Other notables include 2019 champion Steve Stricker, World Golf Hall of Fame member Ernie Els and Charles Schwab Cup leader Stephen Ames.
