Henry John Deutschendorf, Jr. (December 31, 1943 – October 12, 1997), known professionally as John Denver, was an American singer/songwriter, activist, and humanitarian. After traveling and living in numerous locations while growing up in his military family, Denver began his music career in folk music groups in the late 1960s. His greatest commercial success was as a solo singer. Throughout his life, Denver recorded and released approximately 300 songs, about 200 of which he composed. He performed primarily with an acoustic guitar and sang about his joy in nature, his enthusiasm for music, and relationship trials. So much love! I saw a John Denver tribute band recently. It was a wonderful concert and it brought back such heart felt memories of a beautiful soul who created in the energy of Spirit and left this earth way too soon!

If you ever get the chance to see: “TAKE ME HOME – THE MUSIC OF JOHN DENVER STARRING JIM CURRY,” I wholeheartedly recommend it. CLICK HERE to go to their website and view their concert dates. You will be transported back to a time when this magnificent musician/lyricist performed his heart-felt messages in concert.

The band performed a song that I had never heard before. The singer, Jim Curry was accompanied only by a track of a piano solo by Peter Kater. This song, THE WANDERING SOUL, was first performed at a concert in Milwaukee, WI on 4/10/92, and it was never released before John’s death in 1997.

Here is a YouTube video where John performed the song live at the Windstar Symposium, 1995. It is one of the only recordings of this beautiful song. Enjoy!

But this man even looked like him and for a few moments of the night I was transported back in time. I am thankful to the two young men, Ed Keller and Jason Engel, whom I haven't had the pleasure to meet as yet, who followed the urgings of angels to record and edit this remarkable song so we all could be blessed by John Denver's golden voice and message....I'm also thankful to you, James Twyman for loving John so much, you found this treasure and have taken time to share this gem on Galactic Free Press. GFP is one of my main and favorite sites, where I spend much time learning.. I would have never seen this precious video and listen to John's song of LOVE, if the angels hadn't urged you to share this on GFP.

I would like to ask you about something that happened to me yesterday if it is alright... I'm a little puzzled by it...

Last night, I went to my neighbors apt...I was expecting to find only her home. From what she was sharing on FB, I was feeling she was having a hard day and thought I'd spend a little time with her...When I went over to her apt,  there were others there I had met briefly before...One person came in after I arrived...Captain C, I'll call him....He said he was from homeland security... I was a little shocked to say the least. I didn't know what to think.. We had a wonderful conversation though, and he was very helpful in answering my questions..He said he was here to help....I only stayed briefly, but when I came back to my apt., I was feeling like I had just met people in the ground crew...I might be mistaken, so I thought I'd ask you about it...I know there are brothers and sisters on this planet to assist all who want to ascend and be prepared to enter the 5D plane..my hearts desire... :) Were these people really crew members? In this day and age, it's hard to know who to trust...

Thank you for all you do and for all your encouragement...

Matt Stone and Trey Parker , born and raised in Denver, were obsessed as kids with Mexican restaurant Casa Bonita, a massive, labyrinthine, Disneyland-ish local landmark that opened in 1974 in Lakewood, Colorado with roving characters, live entertainment — including a cliff diving show — secret rooms and so-so food. It fell on hard times and then closed in 2020 during Covid.

So they bought it after some soul searching and hoped a speedy renovation would delight their kids and others as they had been delighted. The Denver area cheered.

Director Arthur Bradford ( 6 Days To Air ) follows the South Park creators on their journey as the budget swelled and the project often seemed impossible. To the bemusement of many, however, they stuck it out, refusing other work to stay focused on the renovation.

The restaurant opened a year ago to preview audiences and looks rather gorgeous. Parker wrote the script to the puppet show and to offbeat dialogue by two talking skeletons. The animatronic fortune-telling macaw isn’t quite right yet, said Stone after a screening at the Tribeca Festival where the duo, in a rare public appearance, talked with Andy Cohen.

Casa Bonita is expected to open to the general public later this year.

“Friends were like, ‘What the f–k are you guys doing?’” said Parker. “’We’re opening a Mexican restaurant. Yeah. We’ve got this Mexican restaurant.’ We were turning a lot of cool stuff down.”

¡CASA BONITA MI AMOR! is from MTV Documentary Films and will soon head to Paramount+.

The two said they’d considered expanding Casa Bonito into a chain but dropped the idea.

“We thought about other markets, but there’s sh-t to do in New York, and LA. In Denver in the 1980s when we lived there, there was nothing to do.”

Casa Bonita was such an influence on them it was featured in a South Park episode (Season Seven, episode 11). Cartman flips out when he’s not invited to Kyle’s birthday at Casa Bonita.

Asked about their favorite voices on the show, Parker said, “I have the most fun when I’m doing Cartman and [Stone] is doing Kyle or Butters.” Otherwise, Parker said, he does so many voices “that sometimes it’s just me talking to me talking to me.”

“I don’t smoke anymore, so they’re all pretty easy,” said Stone.

The doc has great footage of them at the mics recording the show.

Stone and Parker have multiple Emmys, and Tony awards and Grammys. That’s close to EGOT status, Cohen noted. Their animated romp Blame Canada was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2000 but lost out to Phil Collins’ You’ll Be In My Heart from Tarzan . “Tarzan?” Cohen said incredulously.

“We’re never going to get an Oscar,” said Stone.

“It’ll happen,” Cohen said.
