Every item in our inventory has been inspected, very strictly graded, and bagged for its protection.

Shrink Wrapped. Still in the original factory shrink wrap, with condition visible through shrink noted. For example, "SW (NM)" means shrink wrapped in near-mint condition.

Perfect. Brand new.

Near Mint. Like new with only the slightest wear, many times indistinguishable from a Mint item. Close to perfect, very collectible. Board & war games in this condition will show very little to no wear and are considered to be punched unless the condition note says unpunched.

Excellent. Lightly used, but almost like new. May show very small spine creases or slight corner wear. Absolutely no tears and no marks, a collectible condition.

Very Good. Used. May have medium-sized creases, corner dings, minor tears or scuff marks, small stains, etc. Complete and very useable.

Very well used, but complete and useable. May have flaws such as tears, pen marks or highlighting, large creases, stains, marks, etc.

• Boxed items are listed as "code/code" where the first code represents the box, and the second code describes the contents. When only one condition is listed, then the box and contents are in the same condition.
• A "plus" sign indicates that an item is close to the next highest condition. Example, EX+ is an item between Excellent and Near Mint condition. A "minus" sign indicates the opposite.
• Major defects and/or missing components are noted separately.
• Boardgame counters are punched, unless noted. Due to the nature of loose counters, if a game is unplayable it may be returned for a refund of the purchase price.
• In most cases, boxed games and box sets do not come with dice.
• The cardboard backing of miniature packs is not graded. If excessively worn, they will be marked as "card worn."
• Flat trays for SPI games are not graded, and have the usual problems. If excessively worn, they will be marked as "tray worn."
• Remainder Mark - A remainder mark is usually a small black line or dot written with a felt tip pen or Sharpie on the top, bottom, side page edges and sometimes on the UPC symbol on the back of the book. Publishers use these marks when books are returned to them.

Mystical Portals now connect New York and Dublin, part of a bridge 'to a united planet'

Portals have been critical time and travel devices in 'star trek,' 'stargate' and the video game 'portal.' now, there's livestream video portals connecting cities around the world..

Two massive circular livestream video "portals" now connect New York City and Dublin, Ireland – all part of an artist's plan to bring the world closer together.

This pair of portals, which became operational Wednesday, connects the two cities – separated by more than 3,000 miles – with a 24/7 live video link. The New York City Portal is in Manhattan's Flatiron District, while the Portal in Dublin is installed near O'Connell Street, the city's main street.

The organization behind the installations, Portals.org , previously set up portals in Vilnius, Lithuana, and Lublin, Poland, in May 2021. Portals founder Benediktas Gylys, a Lithuanian artist, author and entrepreneur, funded the initial project, but local groups have collaborated around Portal installations.

The project is "conceived as a testament to the power of art to transcend physical barriers," the Flatiron NoMad Partnership said in a press release .

Portal originator: Sculptures 'act as a bridge to a united planet'

With four portals now in operation, the project is "moving closer to realizing the vision," Portals.org says on its website, of rotating the livestream video amongst the cities.

So New Yorkers could see Dublin through their Portal now, but soon they could be connected with people in Lithuania and Poland, where the original portals reside.

"The one most misunderstood thing about Portals that sometimes frustrates me a little bit is that it's not about connecting just two countries," Benediktas Gylys said in an Instagram video in September 2023. "Portals are sculptures that form a global network that is going to act as a bridge to a united planet."

"Every minute the connection rotates between multiple countries on Earth, inviting all of us to meet above borders and differences," Gylys said.

Dublin mayor: Portals project makes city, world 'more inclusive'

In Dublin, the Lord Mayor of Dublin Daithí de Róiste oversaw the Portal's awakening in his city. “One of my key aims as Lord Mayor is to make the City more inclusive," he said in a statement.

"The Portals project embodies this, bringing together technology, engineering and art to bring communities from across the world closer together and to allow people to meet and connect outside of their social circles and cultures," he said.

Portals can bring 'immense joy'

Gylys got the idea for a Portal in 2016 after a mystical experience, he says. A team at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University helped complete the first two sculptures.

The sculptures are circular as an homage to science fiction's use of circular portals for travel through time and space – examples include Star Trek's "The City on the Edge of Forever" episode, the Stargate films and TV series, and the video game "Portal."

The interactive art structures purposefully do not have audio. "Portals invite us to meet above language barriers and connect using the only global language known to all humankind: body language," it reads on the Portals.org site. "We believe that by adding more features we are taking away from the essential experience that Portals offer."

Gylys has seen people transformed when they encounter a Portal.

“Usually people just smile and wave, sometimes they start competitions about what couple could make a more complex shape of a heart with their hands; dancing competitions happen as well,” he told Fast Company in 2021. “Even the most serious-looking people who look like they have never waved to anyone in their entire lives start smiling and waving with immense joy!”

The goal of the portals experience: "In a world of increasingly polarizing narratives, it is essential to remember that we are all together on this tiny, beautiful spaceship called Earth."Gylys is planning to build more portals in the future. He mentioned London and Reykjavik, Iceland, to Fast Company. Cities looking to host a Portal can contact the Gylys and the team on the Portal site .

George Takei, our forever Hikaru Sulu on “Star Trek” :

“Our family came to this land of opportunity — the American Dream. Both parents born here. Me, 1937 in LA. On Dec. 7, 1941, I was 4. Soldiers marched up our driveway. Rifles. Bayonets. People spit at us, called us spies. Banged on our doors. We were arrested . Our house taken. Japanese Americans seen past 8 p.m. got thrown into jail. My father’s bank account frozen. Stripped naked, hate words painted on our car.

“We had nothing. We weren’t aliens. After the war we were given $25 and a one-way ticket to outside. Innocent Americans, we couldn’t find a home, a job. To survive my father washed dishes in a Chinese restaurant. We lived in horrific skid row with the stench of human excrement after four years behind barbed wire, machine guns pointed at us until he finally opened an abandoned cleaning shop.”

Eventually it was UCLA then New York and, he says, “dumb luck” where he became immortal as Sulu on “Star Trek.” He’s written six books. His latest is “My Lost Freedom.”

And the name George Takei has since been etched into posterity on the cement sidewalk in front of LA’s famous Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.

Erica Ortegas (Melissa Navia) are captured by the Gorn and Batel has become a host to the terrifying alien species' parasitic eggs.

When the cast of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds returns in season 3, it will be to a very different Star Trek on Paramount+ landscape. Star Trek: Discover y will have ended with season 5, essentially passing the torch to Strange New Worlds as the flagship Star Trek on Paramount+ live-action series. Star Trek: Lower Decks also will have ended with season 5. The next Star Trek series, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy , will begin production in fall 2024. The first made-for-streaming Star Trek on Paramount+ movie, Star Trek: Section 31 starring Academy Award-winner Michelle Yeoh, is completed and awaits a Paramount+ premiere date. But it's safe to say Strange New Worlds will be the franchise's new crown jewel series, especially after the positive reception to season 2.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 Ending & Cliffhanger Explained

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2's finale nailbiter brings back the fearsome Gorn and ends with Captain Pike facing an impossible choice.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 was ready to begin filming in May 2023, but production was halted and delayed for 7 months thanks to the dual Writer's Guild and SAG-AFTRA strikes. When the picketing was over, Strange New Worlds season 3 production finally began filming in December and is expected to last until May 2024 . Producing director Chris Fisher is directing Strange New Worlds season 3's premiere, which will resolve Strange New Worlds season 2's Gorn cliffhanger. Fisher directed Strange New Worlds season 1's finale , "A Quality of Mercy," and Strange New Worlds season 2's premiere, "The Broken Circle."

Other directors lined up for Strange New Worlds season 3 are Jordan Canning, who helmed Strange New Worlds season 3, episode 2, and Dan Liu, who takes over for Strange New Worlds season 2, episode 3. Canning directed the Vulcan comedy romp Strange New Worlds season 2, episode 5, "Charades," while Liu helmed the tense Strange New Worlds season 1, episode 4, "Memento Mori," and Strange New Worlds season 2, episode 6, "Lost in Translation." In addition, Jonathan Frakes will direct a "Hollywood noir" episode of Strange New Worlds season 3 after he was lauded for directing Strange New Worlds ' comedy crossover with Star Trek: Lower Decks .

The other Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 directors are Valerie Weiss, Sharon Lewis, Andrew Coutts, and Maja Vrvilo.

The wait for Strange New Worlds season 3 will likely last until 2025.

Realistically, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 probably won't premiere on Paramount+ until some time in 2025 . When filming finally wraps in May 2024, post-production and visual effects for Strange New Worlds season 3's 10 episodes will take time to complete. Further, Paramount+ will need Strange New Worlds season 3 as the centerpiece of Star Trek in its 2025 schedule. However, this doesn't stop eager audience members from hoping Strange New Worlds season 3 could split its release and drop the first episodes by the end of 2024, mainly so that they can see the resolution of Strange New Worlds season 2's cliffhanger .

Expect more "big swings" from Strange New Worlds season 3

As well as resolving the fate of Captain Batel and the captured Starship Enterprise crew, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has already set up multiple storylines for season 3 . One of the biggest storylines will be the arrival of Nurse Christine Chapel's (Jess Bush) fiance Roger Korby which will create new a love triangle involving Lt. Spock (Ethan Peck). Other big storylines set up in Strange New Worlds season 2 include Dr. M'Benga and his dark secrets from the Klingon War, the impending fatherhood of Lieutenant James T. Kirk (Paul Wesley), and Kirk's promotion to Commander aboard the USS Farragut. Scotty (Martin Quinn) also joined the cast of Strange New Worlds and could recur in season 3.

The USS Enterprise will have a new Science Lab in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3.

Viewers can also expect some big genre swings to follow in the footsteps of Star Trek 's first-ever musical episode and the animated crossover with Star Trek: Lower Decks . Already announced is Strange New Worlds season 3's "Hollywood Noir" episode directed by Jonathan Frakes. Most excitingly for fans of Star Trek: The Original Series will be a chance to see the young Montgomery Scott learn and grow into the USS Enterprise's legendary Chief Engineer. There are still at least six years before Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner) takes command of the Starship Enterprise giving Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 plenty of ground to cover when it returns.

Expect Strange New Worlds to help celebrate Star Trek's 60th anniversary

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds received an early season 4 renewal from Paramount+. Although Strange New Worlds season 4 won't film back-to-back like Strange New Worlds seasons 1 and 2 did, it's possible that production for the show's fourth season could begin in late 2024 or in 2025 after a hiatus. This projects Strange New Worlds season 2 to premiere on Paramount+ in 2026, which would help mark Star Trek 's 60th anniversary. Given that very little has been revealed about season 3, it's too early to tell what Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 will be about, but it's thrilling to know that more voyages of Captain Pike's Starship Enterprise are assured.

STAR TREK 500 from IDW Sets Up Massive Trek Crossover Event for 2025

F or almost as long as there has been   Star Trek on TV, there have been Star Trek comics. And these days, IDW Entertainment has been carrying the flag of Starfleet proudly. Now, the landmark 500th issue of Star Trek is arriving. This oversized anthology comic will feature seven stories from different eras of Star Trek . It will even be a prelude to a big Trek  universe crossover event planned for 2025. It’ll include creatives like Patton Oswalt, Chris Cantwell, Mags Visaggio, and more. Here’s the official solicitation for the 500th IDW Star Trek  issue , going on sale September 4, 2024:

Celebrate IDW’s 500th issue of Star Trek comics (and an early Star Trek Day!) with this landmark oversized anthology issue! This collection of seven short stories spans through fan-favorite eras of the beloved franchise from Lower Decks to Strange New Worlds , legacy characters from The Next Generation and the original series, written and illustrated by Star Trek comics veterans and new voices alike. Plus, don’t miss out on the prelude to 2025’s big Star Trek and Defiant comic crossover event written by Jackson Lanzing, Collin Kelly, and Christopher Cantwell!

Star Trek  #500 has four different variant covers. They showcase the crews from 58 years of Trek , since the days of Kirk , to Strange New Worlds . Cover A is by Joëlle Jones, with Cover B by Jake Bartok. JK Woodward provides Cover C, with a Cover Variant by Chris Fenoglio. Here’s what Heather Antos, IDW group editor, had to say about the upcoming special issue of Star Trek:

The sending to print of any single comic is a feat in and of itself. To hit a landmark like 500 issues with any franchise is a true accomplishment to be celebrated. This Star Trek Day IDW is excited to present not only a look back at some of our favorite characters and series from over the years, but also a look forward on what is to come in the future for our Eisner-nominated Star Trek and  Defiant series. If you’re only getting one  Star Trek book this year, this is not one to miss out on!

In addition, Jackson Lanzing, Chris Cantwell, and Collin Kelly, who are co-writing the prelude for the big Star Trek event coming in 2025, shared the following sentiments.

Jackson Lanzing : “In Star Trek #400, we began a journey that changed the face of Star Trek comics and carved out a whole new line for readers of every generation. I don’t think any of us could have imagined what would follow. From all the incredible interlocked series to the first  Star Trek summer event to the first Eisner nominations in Starfleet’s history. Christopher Cantwell:  “Just like our prelude story in the Star Trek Free Comic Book Day issue last year, #500 promises one hell of a tease of things to come next summer in 2025. Both books are building to a crossover event that will truly redefine the Star Trek universe from within its very DNA. There are a boatload of reasons why you’ll want to pick up #500, but the little ticking time bomb Jackson, Collin, and I have planted in its pages will get you anxious for what’s to come.” 

Collin Kelly: “We’ve been planting the seeds of this event since the very beginning, a culmination and conflagration that will ignite the cosmos in a crisis of galactic proportions. Not only crossing our titles, but linking to both Nemesis and   Star Trek: Picard . Our aim is nothing less than creating the single greatest challenge that Sisko, Worf, and their respective crews have ever faced; a mission that starts when the universe ends.”

Professional nerds (and professional jokers) Patton Oswalt and Jordan Blum are also beaming aboard. With tongues firmly planted in their cheeks, they had this to say about their contributions to Star Trek #500. Oswalt joked “I can’t wait to begin writing this story. Sitting down to watch at least 3 of the original episodes and 2 of the movies. I’m so excited to experience this world for the first time!”

Meanwhile, Blum added “It’s an honor to be a part of this historic Star Trek moment. I’ve been a diehard fan ever since Luke Skywalker first flew the Enterprise into the trenches of Arrakis. Our story will obsessively investigate the psychology and physiology of Tribbles in a way no one has ever deemed worth it. It’s like Mr. Spock always says ‘There is no spoon.’ Truly.”
