There are four different operators of Hop-on Hop-off tours in New York. The two most popular providers are TopView Sightseeing (operate the red&white buses) and Big Bus (which use the dark red buses). These two providers have the largest fleet of buses and drive the routes at regular intervals. While these two operators do have slightly more busses meaning that you won’t have to wait as long at the stops, all of the hop on hop off bus tours on offer drive similar routes along with the same attractions.

IMPORTANT: Even though the hop on hop off buses pass most major attractions along their routes, they are not suited for regular transportation within the city. For simply getting from A to B, the subway is a much better choice.

The most popular tour is the Downtown loop. Wait time is very long. They will not refund your money so be careful before you pay.

Be aware this Tour. These guys try to scam the tourist. They told us to take us to the statue of liberty and let we waited on the bus for couple hours. Be caution with these Tours. Called my credit card to dispute transaction.

Tours scammers

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! These guys are outside of Battery Park and will try to sell you "tickets" to the Statue of Liberty ferry. They will harass you and try to check your tickets if you have them but, do not engage them and keep walking. They have no right to stop you and they ARE NOT affiliated with the official New York Statue of Liberty tours. DO NOT BUY from them or give them the time of day. They will tell you the next tour is at this time but, the reality is they have no set tour times and will wait to try and fill up the bus. You may end up waiting for a very long time if you get a tour at all. Don't talk to the other "tour agencies" that are there as well. They are all in on it and try to help each other out.

Scammers that take advantage of tourists. Waited over 3 hours to get on the bus and then take a quick tour on their run down boat. Absolutely AVOID at all costs! They charge random prices and will lie about the wait times, and refuse to refund you.

Bruce Springsteen postponed at least four shows on the E Street Band’s European tour this week due to “vocal issues” — just months after nixing US dates as he battled peptic ulcer disease.

“Under doctor’s direction, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s concert this evening at the Orange Vélodrome in Marseille has been postponed to a later date,” the legendary rocker announced Saturday , just before the show was slated to start.

“We thank you for your understanding and will keep you informed of the new date very soon. Show tickets will be valid for the new date and, for those who want, they will be eligible for reimbursement at point of purchase.”

On Sunday, however, “further examination and consulting has led doctors to determine that Bruce should not perform for the next ten days,” according to a statement Springsteen, 74, shared on social media .

Also postponed were Tuesday’s show at the Airport Letnany in Prague and two shows at the San Siro Stadium in Milan on June 1 and June 3.

“Bruce is recuperating comfortably, and he and the E Street Band look forward to resuming their hugely successful European stadium tour on June 12 in Madrid at the magnificent Civitas Metropolitan,” the statement added.

Springsteen’s vocal issues come just two months after the “Glory Days” singer resumed the US leg of the tour after canceling all dates in September , when he revealed he was diagnosed with peptic ulcer disease .

The rocker — who is known for performing marathon shows that run up to three hours — worried that the disease would affect his voice.

“When I had the stomach problem, one of the big problems was I couldn’t sing,” Springsteen said in March on SiriusXM’s “E Street Radio With Jim Rotolo.”

“Before people told me, ‘Oh no, it’s gonna go away, and you’re gonna be OK.’ [But] you’re thinking like, ‘Hey, am I gonna sing again?’” the “Born to Run” singer admitted. “And you know, this is one of the things I love to do the best, the most, and right now I can’t do it.”

Springsteen said it took a while for doctors to say he’d be able to bounce back from the health scare.

“At first, nobody was quite saying that, which made me nervous, you know? And at the end of the day, I found some great doctors, and they straightened me out, and I can’t do anything but thank them all.”

New Wave and pop icon Cyndi Lauper announced she’s taking her sizable stable of hits — who could forget “Time After Time,” “True Colors” and “Goonies R Good Enough” — to arenas all over North America for her 2024 farewell ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Tour.’

That includes a stop at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

Ellen DeGeneres announces farewell tour dates, including 'special taping'

Ellen DeGeneres is making the rounds for what is expected to be her farewell comedy tour.

On Wednesday, the 66-year-old comedian announced a total of 27 dates for Ellen's Last Stand…Up Tour , beginning on June 19 until Aug. 17. She is including stops in San Diego, Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Chicago and Nashville, Tennessee.

The final two shows, occurring in Minneapolis, will be a part of a "special taping."

"This will be the last opportunity for fans to witness a comedy legend in her final curtain call," according to tour producer Live Nation.

Ellen DeGeneres reportedly discussed show ending during earlier standup show

DeGeneres officially made her return to the stage for her farewell tour in April at Los Angeles' Largo, breaking her silence two years after her  long-running talk show ended  in the wake of  allegations of a toxic workplace .

According to  Rolling Stone  and  People , DeGeneres took the opportunity to address the elephant in the room: her absence from the limelight in recent years.

"We were both just laying low for a while," she said of herself and her wife of 15 years,  Portia de Rossi , per the outlets.

Reflecting on the backlash she experienced after a  Buzzfeed News  published a report in July 2020 detailing current and former employees' claims that they faced racism, fear and intimidation while working on the show, DeGeneres summarized: "The 'be kind' girl wasn't kind. I became this one-dimensional character who gave stuff away and danced up steps."

When asked by an audience member whether she was able to dance through tough times, DeGeneres replied, "No, it's hard to dance when you're crying. But I am dancing now."

The comedian took a moment to be vulnerable with fans on the first show of her tour.

"I'm making jokes about what happened to me but it was devastating, really," she said. "I just hated the way the show ended. I love that show so much and I just hated that the last time people would see me is that way."

In a monologue commemorating her  final episode  after 19 years on air, DeGeneres said, "I walked out here 19 years ago, and I said that this is the start of a relationship. And today is not the end of a relationship. It's more of a little break. It’s a, 'You can see other talk shows now. And I may see another audience once in a while.'"

DeGeneres' contract expired in May 2022, when the show aired its final episode, and before this, she spoke publicly about potentially ending the show.
