10cc to Embark on First U.S. Tour in Over Three Decades

10cc 's pending Ultimate, Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour will bring the '70s hitmakers to America for the first time in more than three decades.

They're best known for "I'm Not In Love," a single composed by Graham Gouldman and Eric Stewart which reached No. 2 in the U.S. and No. 1 in the U.K. in 1975. 10cc hit the American Top 5 again in 1976 with "The Things We Do for Love," which was also composed by Gouldman and Stewart.

Gouldman continues to lead the group. Shows kick off in July at Montclair, N.J., with stops in New York City, St. Louis, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco to follow through August. 10cc emerged from the '70s boasting four consecutive gold-selling U.K. albums beginning with 1974's Sheet Music , but saw their momentum slow in the new decade. The band went dormant from 1983 through the '90s. But their songs lived on: "I'm Not In Love" featured prominently in the chart-topping soundtrack to 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy . "Dreadlock Holiday," a U.K. chart-topping hit from 1978, was also featured in 2010's The Social Network .

10cc built that kind of lasting appeal with timeless songs, Gouldman argues. "They don't seem to date," he said in an official release. "We never followed any trend; we simply wrote for our own pleasure. The fact that the songs are being played as often on the radio as they ever were shows how true that is."

Gouldman is the only founding member to appear on every 10cc project, but the current lineup includes two other legacy members: Drummer Paul Burgess initially came on board in 1973 as a touring member before officially joining in time for 1977's Deceptive Bends , home to "The Things We Do For Love." Guitarist Rick Finn arrived shortly thereafter, performing on 10cc's 1977 concert recording Live and Let Live .

The "Ultimate, Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour" kicks off in New Jersey on July 24th

British rock band 10cc will return this year for their first US tour in over three decades.

The US tour announcement follows 10cc’s current UK/Europe leg of their “Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour,” which they began 2022. Now, they’ll embark on the “Ultimate, Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour” in the United States, kicking off in Montclair, New Jersey on July 24th. They’ll continue the coast-to-coast trek through the end of July and August, hitting cities like New York, Milwaukee, Nashville, Austin, and Los Angeles. 10cc announces ‘The Ultimate Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour’ for Spring 2024

Rock legends 10cc are returning to the road in 2024 for ‘The Ultimate Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour', following the immense success of their sell-out ‘Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour' in 2022.

The tour announcement coincides with the band's triumphant conclusion of their five-week tour in Australia and New Zealand, receiving rave reviews along the way. This extensive tour marked their longest stint in the region, solidifying their status as one of the most enduring acts in the industry.

Kicking off in Bristol on 7th March, the UK tour encompasses a total of 18 concerts, including a highly anticipated return to London's prestigious Royal Albert Hall on 25th March. Leading the touring band is Graham Gouldman, the sole remaining founding member still performing.

Gouldman states, “In our formative years, it was all about the songs, and it's the same for us now. We play them with love and energy, hit after hit after hit… we show no mercy.”

With over 15 million albums sold in the UK alone, 10cc has an impressive catalogue that includes eleven Top 10 hits, including three No. 1 singles: ‘Rubber Bullets', ‘Dreadlock Holiday', and the ubiquitous ‘I'm Not In Love'.

The band lineup consists of Graham Gouldman on bass guitars, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and vocals; Rick Fenn on lead guitar, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, and vocals; Paul Burgess on drums, percussion, and keyboards; Keith Hayman on keyboards, electric guitar, bass guitar, and vocals; and Iain Hornal on electric guitar, acoustic guitar, percussion, mandolin, keyboards, and vocals.

Before embarking on the UK tour in Spring, 10cc will toure Europe during the Autumn, treating fans across Holland, Belgium, and Germany to a 17-date tour.

Renowned figures in art pop and rock, 10cc, have revealed plans to extend their The Ultimate Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour with an additional 25 concerts set for Autumn 2024.

Recognized as one of the leading live acts in the UK, these extra shows follow the band's highly successful UK tour in March, which included 18 concerts and a sold-out performance at London's Royal Albert Hall, boasting a capacity of 5,200 seats.

Following the announcement of their first extensive US tour in over three decades, the band's touring schedule has now extended across continents, from Australia and New Zealand to Japan, Iceland, Latvia, Scandinavia, and throughout mainland Europe.

Leading the charge is 10cc founding co-member Graham Gouldman, who reflects: “What is particularly satisfying is seeing our audience demographic changing with more and more younger people coming to our gigs.

"The shows in March have been our most successful in the UK and that is very gratifying, as we are only doing what we love – playing the music of 10cc.”

The band lineup features Gouldman on bass guitars, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and vocals; Rick Fenn on lead guitar, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, and vocals; Paul Burgess on drums, percussion, and keyboards; Keith Hayman on keyboards, electric guitar, bass guitar, and vocals; and Andy Park on electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, percussion, mandolin, keyboards, and vocals.

10cc announces the ultimate, ultimate greatest hits tour in the usa, first us tour in over three decades beginning july 24, 2024..

LOS ANGELES (CA) March 11, 2024 - One of the most inventive and influential bands in the history of popular music, 10cc has announced a North American tour, The Ultimate, Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour - the band’s first in over three decades – kicking off July 24 at the Welmont Theatre in Montclair, New Jersey.

One of the few bands to achieve commercial, critical, and creative success, 10cc will bring their timeless music to the masses this summer with a 20-date coast to coast tour.

With more than 30 million albums sold, 10cc’s energies were not centered on image or celebrity-status, but on creating highly sophisticated rock masterworks with mainstream appeal.

“I’m Not In Love,” written by Graham Gouldman and Eric Stewart and released in 1975, had a second life after being prominently featured in the soundtrack to the 2014 blockbuster film, Guardians of the Galaxy, spawning a number one soundtrack album.  Similarly, 10cc’s 1978 hit, “Dreadlock Holiday,” was a key element of the soundtrack to 2010’s The Social Network.

Founding member Gouldman attributes 10cc’s lasting appeal to the quality and individuality of the band’s songs. “They don’t seem to date. We never followed any trend we simply wrote for our own pleasure. The fact that the songs are being played as often on the radio as they ever were shows how true that is.”

The 2024 live band line-up features Graham Gouldman – bass guitars, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, vocals; Rick Fenn – lead electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, vocals; Paul Burgess – drums, percussion, keyboards; Iain Hornal – electric guitar, acoustic guitar, percussion, mandolin, keyboards, vocals; Keith Hayman – keyboards, electric guitar, bass guitar, vocals.

The Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour celebrates the hits which have seen 10cc recognised as one of the most inventive and influential bands in popular music.

Led by co-founder Graham Gouldman , 10cc are heralded in equal measure for their ability to craft ingenious songs that also resonated commercially.

The icons of art-rock achieved eleven Top 10 hits, and over 15 million albums sold in the UK alone, with three No 1 singles – Rubber Bullets, Dreadlock Holiday and the ubiquitous I’m Not In Love .

The current 10cc line-up features Gouldman (bass, guitar, vocals), Rick Fenn (lead guitar, bass, vocals), Paul Burgess (drums, percussion) – both of whom have been with the band since the early years – Keith Hayman (keyboards, guitars, bass, vocals) and Iain Hornal (vocals, percussion, guitar, keyboards).

In 2022, sold-out audiences around the UK were treated to an unforgettable night in the form of 10cc's Ultimate Greatest Hits tour. On 27 October, On Air joined 10cc at  The New Theatre, Oxford  and captured the entire 19-song set in all its glory.

Filled with almost 2 hours’ worth of songs from across their glittering 50-year career, the concert stream includes fan favourites like 'The Things We Do For Love', 'Wall Street Shuffle', 'I'm Not In Love', and 'Art For Art's Sake'.

A cinematic live stream of the highest quality, the show is available in 4K UHD with  Dolby Vision and   Dolby Atmos  sound. The show can be streamed on demand with unlimited replays through the On Air website, mobile and TV  apps  until 01 December 2024.

10cc rose to stardom during the eccentric, art-rocker whirl of the 70s, breaking through the noise with their oddball, pop prankster, and studio perfectionist personas. Capable of tapping into and satirising all manners of popular music styles, the collective often played for their amusement while steering their quirks toward the charts. Soon enough, 10cc had recorded twelve singles - including oldies pastiche ‘ Donna’ (1973) and soft rock classic ' The Things We Do For Love ’ (1976) - that reached the UK Top 40. Their chart-toppers were ‘Rubber Bullets’ (1973), ‘I'm Not in Love’ (1975) and ‘Dreadlock Holiday’ (1978) .

Original members Eric Stewart, Graham Gouldman, Kevin Godley, and Lol Creme - who met in the early Manchester music scene - signed with Jonathan King's label UK Records in 1972, piecing together and launching legendary albums ' Sheet Music ' in 1974 and ' The Original Soundtrack' in 1975.

Shortly after the release of their album ' How Dare You!' in 1976, Godley and Creme left the band to focus on video production and develop the Gizmo (a guitar modification device). In the wake of their departure, Gouldman and Stewart continued alone and recorded successful albums ' Deceptive Bends' in 1977 and ' Bloody Tourists' in 1978. Following a whirlwind couple of decades – the new addition and exit of supporting members Rick Fenn, Tony O'Malley, and Stuart Tosh, an original 10cc reunion with the release of ' ...Meanwhile' , as well as embarking on their own solo music endeavours – Stewart officially called it quits after ' Mirror Mirror' debuted in 1995.

Fast forward to the present, and Gouldman continues to perform various hits and solo highlights alongside Rick Fenn, Paul Burgess, Keith Hayman, and Iain Hornal as the latest 10cc members.
