celebrity cruises 2024 caribbean schedule

Miami (January 12, 2023) - Celebrity Cruises celebrates a series of firsts in 2024, with its four Edge Series ships located in top destinations for the summer season and beyond. For the first time, holidaymakers can experience the idyllic Caribbean on new three- and four-night itineraries, or board the newest Edge Series ship, Celebrity Ascent , all while making huge savings with the brand’s new Semi-Annual Sale.

To entice guests to think ahead for 2024, the premium cruise line is now offering up to 75% off the fare of the second guest* on all sailings from now until April 30, 2026.  Those booking on select dates will also receive $200 to spend onboard, which can be used to access a variety of experiences; from pampering spa treatments to the interactive culinary spectacle of Le Petit Chef, alongside exhilarating shore excursions.

Eligible itineraries for these huge savings include Celebrity Cruises biggest Caribbean season yet, with more options for travelers to enjoy the region’s tranquil blue waters and sunshine.  Nine of Celebrity’s award-winning resorts at sea, the most ever in the Caribbean for the brand, will sail the region on itineraries ranging from brand new three-night short getaways to 12-night elevated vacations giving travelers more options than ever before for escaping the winter blues. In addition, select sailings will call on the highly rated Perfect Day at CocoCay, providing access to an exclusive private island experience.

On top of Caribbean escapes, this year Celebrity Cruises guests can rejuvenate and explore Alaska like never before, soak up the history and romance of Europe’s cultural hotspots or take in the breathtaking views of the Norwegian Fjords  - and all from the comfort of a revolutionary Edge Series ship.

Trend-setting destinations in their own right, the Edge Series ships have redefined modern travel with a unique outward-facing design, creating an even closer connection between the sea, guests and every new destination on the horizon. The iconic Magic Carpet - the world’s first cantilevered lounge at sea - sits on the edge of the ship, offering a new way to drink, dine and connect with the destination guests are experiencing - whether in the Bahamas overnight or taking in the awe-inspiring Alaskan glaciers.

Top itineraries for 2024:

Where to find samples of daily schedule?

As a first-time Celebrity cruiser, I'm very curious about what to expect from each day's activity schedule.  Is there a place I might find scans of past cruise planner schedules?  Especially ones for the Eclipse in Alaska (7-night Vancouver round trip).

There is no central web site to visit for this.  Here are some suggestions:

1. Find a thread from last year (cruise review) or a "Live" thread from last year and see what was posted.  It is common for people to post a photo of the daily planner (sometimes that post the whole thing) in a "Live" thread.  If there is nothing there, you can post a request for that information

2.  Find an Alaskan roll call from last year and post a request for the daily planner information.

You can also watch for a Live thread to be posted for an Alaskan cruise for this coming season and ask for the information if it is not posted.

In the app click on the down arrow below the calendar then At the bottom of that page click on change ship/dates. Go to the bottom of that page to browse our ships, select the Eclipse and it will bring up sailing dates, select the current sailing and look through the daily calendars.  The may not be identical to your sailing but would give you a good idea of the activities on the Eclipse.

Thanks

The on board dailies will be much the same everywhere.  Differ mostly for sea compared to port days.  Alaska similar to Caribbean for on board.

Just find ANY current cruise.

This sounds like a great tip.  True, the current sailing is a completely different itinerary than what I'm looking for.  But when the Alaska sailings start, I can follow along.

On the threads page here (Celebrity) in the upper left corner, under Find your roll call, it says Find posts about… and to the right of that Select ship.  That brings a drop-down menu.  Choose your ship.  It will give you an endless list of threads mentioning Eclipse.  You might have to go back many pages, as you are asking about last year, but you should find some threads from Alaska cruises.  EM

Not an Alaska cruise but I’m literally about to recycle a pile of Silhouette daily planners from a 2019 Norway cruise and happy to photograph them before they go in the bin if that would be helpful? I remember trying to understand things before my first cruise so very happy to help someone else

Thank you so much for the offer.  If it's not so much trouble, I'd love to see what you have.  Maybe at least it will give us a sense of how things go.

There is currently a live thread from a poster on millennium and she has taken photos of daily program but you will have to read through many many pages to find it….sometime after page 10 Because that was when she boarded the ship. Pages one through nine are all about her pre-cruise activities so start on page 10

I think she has only posted one so far and it was from embarkation day on about page 12

No problem at all - turns out I had already scanned them previously so here’s the whole week from Southampton to Norway with embarkation, sea and port days.

ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE 2024-26 GUIDE

When it comes to planning the ultimate getaway, there are so many reasons why cruise vacations rank among the most popular travel options. First of all, they’re completely stress-free. On a cruise vacation, all the planning is taken care of by the cruise line — from the  destinations  you sail to and the  shore excursions  available at each port, to a full range of  entertainment  and activities happening onboard every day. If you’re not a planner, or if the only things you’re looking to focus on during your getaway is savoring great food, relaxing, and soaking up the sights, cruise vacations are the way to go. A cruise vacation is also a great option if you’re traveling with the whole family, especially when you opt for a Royal Caribbean cruise. All of the ships in this cruise line’s fleet offer family-friendly experiences for guests of all ages. Even little ones will find plenty of ways to play with spaces and activities designed for tots to tweens. One of the top reasons savvy travelers love cruising, though, is because of the incredible value it offers. With Royal Caribbean, your cruise fare includes access to most of the ship’s attractions, select dining venues and all of the entertainment onboard. If you want to make your  experience  even more all-inclusive, you can opt for  beverage  and  specialty dining  packages that cover drinks and dinner at some of the most exclusive restaurants in the fleet. On top of all that, the cruise line presents frequent limited-time offers and seasonal sales, making it easy to score big savings when booking your vacation.

I stayed in a $5,400 suite on Silversea's new ultra-luxury cruise ship — here's why it's worth the cost

I stayed in a Deluxe Veranda suite on Silversea's new  ultra-luxury Silver Ray cruise ship .

The cabin had a walk-in closet, balcony, butler, and caviar room service.

In 2024, the Deluxe Veranda suite starts at $5,400 per person for an eight-day cruise.

I regret to report that my new favorite cruise cabin starts at $675 per person per day.

But before you click away, hear me out: It could be worth the cost.

In mid-June, ultra-luxury cruise line Silversea's latest ship, Silver Ray, set sail on its maiden voyage, marking the second Nova Class vessel to join the company's now 12-ship fleet.

Silversea invited travel agents and journalists on a complimentary five-night test sailing a week before its debut. Luckily, my cabin was one of the most luxurious I've ever stayed in, both on land and at sea.

Silversea assigned me one of the ship's Deluxe Veranda suites.

The cabin has accrued a waitlist on several of Silver Ray's itineraries this year, the company says. The cheapest available one in 2024 is on an eight-day cruise from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Cartagena, Colombia, this June, starting at $5,400 per person.

Broken down, that's about $675 per person and day.

The price is steep compared to the average mass-market cruise.

Silversea is Royal Caribbean Group's most luxurious brand, known for small, high-end vessels with fares far exceeding those of its parent company's eponymous cruise line .

Silver Ray and its one-year-old predecessor, Silver Nova, are the largest in Silversea's fleet. But both only accommodate 728 guests — a stark contrast from Royal Caribbean's largest 7,600-guest ship .

At 357 square feet, the Deluxe Veranda is the same size as the ship's two cheaper cabin categories.

The cost difference comes down to where they're located on the ship. Deluxe Verandas are mid-ship, perfect for guests prone to seasickness (like me).

Like many luxury cruise ships, every cabin on Silver Ray has a furnished balcony.

Sheer and blackout curtains and a heavy glass sliding door separated the open-air 54-square-foot lounge from the interior.

I’ve had my fair share of cramped cruise cabin living 'rooms.' No complaints here.

This one felt roomy, even with an additional ottoman that turned the cozy couch into a small sectional.

The coffee table also doubled as the room-service dining table — perfect for eating complimentary caviar and foie gras while watching the passing waves.

The suites also come with a welcome bottle of Champagne, a common touch on most premium cruise ships.

If you don't finish the complimentary bottle, store it in the desk's mini-fridge.

The desk also houses a tablet that functions as a three-in-one ship directory, planner, and cabin control center. It was my go-to device for perusing Silver Ray's daily schedule, checking the onboard restaurants' menus, and controlling the suite's temperature and lights — all without needing to stand up.

If that wasn't convenient enough, the TV and your mobile Silversea profile also have the same features.

The TV could pull out and swivel toward the queen-sized bed.

Just make sure you adjust it before lying down. It'll be hard to get back up.

The bed was plush and sumptuous, stocked with pillows so soft I felt like I was being swallowed alive.

But if you don't like down pillows — look, I'm not proud of it either — you can always peruse the pillow menu for a different option.

The sleek bathroom was located down a short hall, closer to the front door.

Some of the suites have both a bathtub and a shower. Mine only came with the latter (woe is me), but it did cosplay as a dual-vanity bathroom with two sink heads that shared one basin.

This setup left me ample counter space. But if you'd rather tuck your toiletries away, the bathroom also had generous shelves and drawers, one of which had a built-in organizer perfect for my obscene skincare collection.

The products were all labeled Otium, after Silversea’s spa.

Guests can select different toiletries from the bath product menu. Options included soaps from Bulgari, a signature of rival-owned Oceania Cruises .

A walk-in closet and vanity separated the bathroom from the bedroom.

The closet had less storage than my suite on competitor Regent Seven Seas' latest vessel . But it was still sizable, with enough space and hangars for two guests.

If you, like me, hate doing post-vacation laundry, Silversea has a solution. Guests can wash, dry, and iron their clothes in the communal laundry rooms.

Or just have your butler do it for you.

Yes, you read that right: Butler.

Several mass-market and luxury cruise lines offer these personal assistants to travelers who've booked the highest-tier suites.

On Silversea's cruises , every guest has a white-glove-donning butler to help with tasks like packing luggage and setting up luxurious showers with scented steamers and fake candles.

My suite also had several small, well-thought-out details that made it stand out from other five-star cruise lines.

For example, the "sleep" setting — which could be activated from the thermostat, TV, tablet, or phone — slowly dimmed all the lights, giving me ample time to navigate back to bed before the room went dark.

And my cabin steward (different from the butler) placed a small microfiber cloth over my sunglasses and glasses whenever he tidied up my suite. I've yet to receive this kind of high-touch housekeeping service on a cruise ship.

While it's not something I would've ever requested, I certainly didn't mind.

So, do microfiber cloth-covered sunglasses and free caviar make this suite worth $675 per person and day?

I hate to say it, but yes.

It's undoubtedly a steep cost. But let's not forget that the fare also includes drinks, excursions, access to the saunas, and meals at six of the ship's eight restaurants — all aboard one of the most luxurious vessels I've ever been on.

If you aren't worried about seasickness, you could always reserve the two cheaper cabin categories, which are virtually identical but located closer to the aft and bow. You might feel the waves more, but you'd save almost $90 per person and day.

However, I, a girlie hypersensitive to seasickness, was relieved by the mid-ship position. And that alone makes the premium price worth it.

Don't be dissuaded: Days at sea can be the best thing during a cruise

celebrity cruises 2024 caribbean schedule

I woke up on the last morning of a cruise last month with big plans to do nothing.

The ship, Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Venezia , was making its return to New York from Bermuda and I was staring down an entire day at sea. I found the ship’s remote position in the North Atlantic Ocean made a great excuse to be lazy.

After several early mornings in a row with jam-packed daily agendas, I slept in late, lounged on my stateroom balcony and caught up on my reading. Surrounded by water, the restless impulse that would have prompted me to run errands or do chores at home eased, too, even with a long list of available activities on the ship’s daily schedule.

“There’s plenty of stuff to do on a sea day as far as I'm concerned,” said Valerie Dorsey, a franchise owner and travel adviser at Cruise Planners. “And there's nothing to do if that's what you want.”

Unlike some other kinds of travel, cruises can be as much about the journey as their destinations, and sea days are different from port days. Here’s how to make the most of them.

Check the ship’s sea day schedule

Cruise ships can feel relatively quiet on port days when guests disembark to explore. “But on a sea day, you're going to have everybody occupying every available space and doing many more activities,” Dorsey said. To meet that demand, cruise lines generally offer more programming.

On my cruise, Carnival’s Hub app showed various kinds of trivia, volleyball and dodgeball tournaments, an art auction, a seminar on improving posture, karaoke and more on the docket.

Cruise lines may also offer sales at onboard shops during sea days, Dorsey said, and she even took a mixology class on a recent Antarctica cruise with Celebrity Cruises.

Kevin and Frank Cefalu-McNamara have a strategy for narrowing so many options down. The couple, who have been on more than 30 cruises and make cruise content under the name Cruising With Wheels , mark up the daily program cruise lines distribute with different colored highlighters over breakfast.

Frank might have a yellow highlighter, for instance, while Kevin has blue, which the Rochester, New York, pair use to note agenda items that look appealing. “And yellow and blue make green, so all the green things we know we're going to do,” said Kevin, 48, who also works as a hairdresser.

Mother Nature can also dictate what the ship offers. In bad weather, cruise lines often cancel activities on outside decks and replace them with others inside, Kevin said.

Watch out for crowds

More guests on the ship also mean more crowds. On sea days, cruise passengers may find themselves scouring the pool for open lounge chairs or waiting in longer lines for food.

Many passengers try to sleep in on those days, according to Dorsey. “But if the pool is your destination, getting there and claiming a seat right away is important,” she said. However, travelers should note that cruise lines ask guests not to save seats they aren’t using.

Dorsey recommended exploring the ship after boarding, which can help passengers find quieter areas to sunbathe. “I would say scope out where you want to go and keep it in mind for the day that you know you're going to be at sea,” she said.

The very back of the ship often provides a reprieve from congestion elsewhere on board.

Want a Caribbean getaway?: Celebrity Cruises adds new weekend sailings, more

The Cefalu-McNamaras also avoid certain parts of the ship at certain times. “We don't go to the buffet for breakfast, and we don't go to the buffet for lunch because it is going to be the most crowded area during those times,” Kevin said. Instead, they might start the day at a sit-down restaurant, which tends to be less packed.

Dorsey said “timing is everything.” If lunch opens at 11 a.m., for instance, the rush may have died down by 1 or 2 p.m.

As alternatives, the main dining room is usually open for lunch, as are some specialty restaurants, according to Dorsey – though the latter comes with an extra charge . There may also be small venues around the ship “nobody thinks of,” she said.

“So, you kind of need to scout around,” she said. “If you're not set on what you want to eat, and the buffet looks crowded, start walking.”

For extroverted travelers, though, sea days can present an opportunity. “If you don't mind the crowds, it’s a good day for meeting people,” Dorsey said.

Seize the opportunity to chill

Just because a ship stacks its schedule doesn’t mean you have to partake, though. Guests may find the days between ports of call provide a chance to get the rest many travelers seek on vacation.

“There's a lot to be said for finding quiet spots to read on a sea day,” Dorsey said. “If you've got a balcony, you're more likely to sit out there and put your feet up and maybe take a nap, because that is something that you don't get to do when you're working every day.”

Some trips may also lend themselves to chilling on board more than others. On a Mediterranean cruise, Frank said his days in port were “go go go go go, and on the ship (during) sea days, it is mostly drinking and relaxing.”

Caribbean cruise port days, on the other hand, may be more relaxed, leaving guests extra energy for when they get back on the ship.

Even in the face of so much to do, consider giving yourself permission to relax. “We're so trained to be alert and aware and ever vigilant that sometimes just resting is an activity,” Dorsey said.
