• I would suggest that you just add doing short rides in the car and taking your whippet somewhere fun will mean they look forward to the car journey. Travelling with your Whippet

At Aureate, travelling with our dogs is something we are very passionate about. Whether trekking across Canada and the US or internationally, travelling with your whippet can open up a whole new world of adventure. The following recommendations are based on our experiences to have a safer more fun filled journey.

- Safety Collars : We cannot stress this point enough. Although we are ADAMANT about NO collars left on our dogs at home EVER, we firmly believe a thin 0.5 inch collar with your phone number embroidered on it and your dog's name, can be a game changer. When we are on the road, we pull out our safety collars (ordered off of Amazon) and they wear them 24/7.

(The exception being if we let two dogs off leash together in an enclosed area, the collars come off as they can pose a strangulation risk. Yes, we do know dogs who have died this way!)

- gps tracker : we use tractive in canada as it is a small device which attaches to our safety collar and offers 24/7 monitoring. it also has a live tracking option. otherwise, it pings in with your dog's location every couple of minutes. you can mark "safety perimeters" ie: your home and yard. this tracker is the best option for those of you who travel with your whippets within canada and internationally, because it is the only tracker that will work internationally; meaning we use it in the united states, uk and the eu with our dogs. we monitor them with the "live" option while they are boarding the plane to ensure they are transferred to the same flight we are on. now the "live" option will only work for 2 hours maximum, so we turn this option off when not needed. without running "live", the battery will last between 48-72 hours so we make an sure to recharge it in the evening. the downside is that tractive requires an annual subscription, but it's certainly affordable ($140 cad), as it relies on cell tower use., - apple airtag : as you can see pictured above, we also use airtags on our safety collars. the downside being in order to work you have to be in a densely populated area and it relies on being a few hundred feet from an iphone. the reason we use airtags too is the battery life lasts much longer and in the event our tractive battery has died, this is a last resort for us. you can easily order airtag holders off amazon or etsy. we like the 3d printer ones pictured above as they cannot be removed without a screwdriver and do not pose an additional safety risk by catching on other objects easily..

-Car Crates : Using crates in your car can save your dog's life! Not only is it imperative should you get into an accident, but also as you are exiting the vehicle, it can prevent your antsy dog who is tired of travelling from door rushing and making a mad dash for freedom at a gas station. Any crate is better than nothing, but in order to ENSURE your pet's safety consider saving up for a crash tested option. At Aureate, we take no shortcuts, ALL our dogs travel crated, ALWAYS. Pictured to the right is a Variocage Double in the back of our SUV. Our dogs are trained and comfortable travelling two together, HOWEVER we do NOT recommend this for the novice dog owner. We train a lot early on at Aureate and travel a lot. Our dogs have many miles under their belts so they are confident and relaxed travellers. (If you are interested in looking for a crash tested crate check our the links provided on our "Resources" page.)

- dog friendly hotels : be prepared to pay a dog fee of +$25 per dog per night. make sure you read the hotel's pet policy in advance. we always read the fees before booking. believe it or not some hotels will claim to be "pet friendly" but then charge $100/night for the dog. that's certainly not what we consider inviting. (obviously the fee can vary quite a bit.) outside of staying in nyc, we've found most places will charge $25/night. that said when you do stay at a hotel, be a good guest. pick up after your dog. make sure your dog is under control in the public access areas. keep your dog content and quiet without disturbing your neighbours and you'll find travelling with your whippet can be quite enjoyable, - whippet beds : by now your whippet should have informed you that they are in fact creatures of comfort. meaning being on the road is no excuse to leave all the comforts of home, at home. your dog will appreciate the extra effort it takes to bring their bed and especially their crate. (remember you cannot leave your dog loose in a hotel room unsupervised.), - plan your route: this is especially important when travelling with very young puppies; they will need the opportunity for potty breaks every 2-3 hours. this also gives you a chance to stretch your legs and not fatigue behind the wheel. be mindful of where you potty your dog. it's far better to find a rest stop or pull off the highway to the closest gas station well away from the busy traffic., - documentation : if you are crossing the border with your whippet by car, make sure you have their vaccination record (rabies). i always travel with a copy of their ownership papers., - eating on the road : don't be surprised if you haven't done a lot of travelling with your whippet if they fast the first day or so. ensure they have adequate access to water, but some dogs who aren't accustomed to being on the road take a day or so settle into the new routine., - adaptil : this pheromone spray can be purchased at your local pet shop. the pheromone mimics the one a puppy's mother naturally releases to calm the puppy down. we recommend spraying the car crate lightly 10 minutes before departure., -potty before you leave: although that could be targeted at both you and your dog, we are particularly interested in your ensuring your whippet has a relaxed car ride. even better if you can take your dog for walk before you leave especially if you are planning on a long day on the road., - firstaid kit: always travel with a first aid kit for your dog and self. be sure to include a soft gauze wrap bandage and normal saline solution to clean a wound with as well., recent posts.

How To Go Camping With Your Whippet

I love camping, in fact, I prefer it to caravanning in some cases.

It might have something to do with being in the great outdoors rather than a small metal box on wheels, or perhaps it’s because you don’t have to worry about where you are going to park when your journey is over for the day.

But my number one reason for loving camping is because it means I get to take my whippets.

There’s nothing better than being out in the countryside with my whippets and being able to roam free for a weekend.

Wild camping, fishing, walking, I love every aspect of it.

In this post I’m going to go through exactly how to go camping with your whippet, to ensure that you both have the best time!

Travelling With Your Whippet

When going camping with your whippet, you’ll want to make sure they are as comfortable as possible as often you’ll be driving for many hours before you reach your destinations.

The majority of people will travel by car, however, there are alternatives! You could fly with your dog if you wanted to go somewhere a little further afield.

This obviously does come at a cost but many people do it every year without issue.

Whichever form of travel you use, make sure your whippet is safe and secure in a travel carrier. This will keep them free from injury should you encounter any bumps in the road.

There are many different types of carriers, some are soft-sided which makes it easy to fold down and store away, plus they’re lightweight too.

Don’t let your whippet have any more room than they need as this will be uncomfortable and could even cause injury.

You should always check the size of the carrier to be certain that your whippet will fit inside.

Although it’s a requirement for all whippets to have a passport, they’ll need a microchip and a blood test before they can travel by plane or ferry.

Preparing For Camping With Your Whippet

Preparation is key when it comes to camping with your whippet.

Some dogs may have a higher energy level than others, so it’s important to know what you’re letting yourself in for.

Whippets need a lot of exercise and maintaining their healthy diet is a must when going away with your whippet.

If they’re fit, then camping will be no problem as long as you give them plenty of opportunities for exercise.

Keeping your whippet on their leash when not in the tent is also advised, as wild rabbits can become prey to your dog if they’re out of reach.

Whippets are well known for being over-friendly and over-excited when meeting new people, so you might want to think about how this behaviour might be perceived at the holiday park or camping destination then this is also a good idea.

Although, if you’re lucky enough to see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) or Perseids meteor shower while camping, then your whippet will be the perfect companion for unrivaled random running and leaping about in excitement.

Unfortunately, it can’t just be assumed that any old sleeping bag will do when going away with your whippet.

You’ll need to ensure that they have their own bed, as they make your sleeping arrangements less enjoyable if they decide to take a share of your sleeping space.

You will need the below items when going camping with your whippet;

• Comfortable dog bed
• Food and water bowls
• Food and water
• Travel carrier
• Warm blanket
• Leash and collar/ harness
• Doggy first aid kit
• GPS tracker
• Dog or baby wipes

How To Ensure Your Whippet Is Warm And Comfortable

Whippets are well known for their low body fat and incredible speed, this makes them much more susceptible to the cold than other dogs such as Labradors or golden retrievers.

When camping in the wild with your whippet, you’ll need to ensure that they are comfortable and warm all night.

Whippets, like other dogs, will try and curl up as close to their owner as possible for warmth, which is a great idea to keep both of you warm if it’s a cold night!

Make sure that your whippet has an extremely comfortable dog bed (he/she won’t want to get off of it!) and that you have a heavy-duty dog coat just in case.

As Whippets don’t have anybody fat and their fur is so thin, it’s best to keep them inside during particularly bad weather as they will find it much harder to keep warm than other breeds of similar size.

Also, because the whippet is so small, this makes them very susceptible to the wind chill.

It may be a good idea to bring a portable heater with you too, just in case the wind really picks up and it becomes freezing cold.

This is a necessity in the winter months as your pup will be incredibly cold whilst out camping, in fact, it’s not advisable to go camping with your whippet at all in the winter months as it will simply be too cold for them.

Other Considerations

Now that you know what equipment you need when camping with your whippet and how to keep your pup warm.

You’ll also want to bear in mind some of the below to ensure you have the best trip possible.

Before you set off, it’s wise to check if any of your friends or family members suffer from allergies.

This is because dogs, particularly whippets, carry a lot of allergens and can leave behind evidence that many humans simply cannot handle.

Keep their sleeping area away from where your guests will be hanging out and use separate outdoor equipment so you won’t have to explain why someone is sneezing after playing fetch with your pup.

Roaming Radius

This is important to keep in mind when camping with your whippet as you will want it to be able to walk off any excess energy.

For the best experience, you’ll need an area that’s not too remote but also not on top of your closest neighbors.

You can ask other campers if they mind your whippet wandering around while you’re cooking dinner or hanging out by the fire, and always keep it in close enough range so that you can call your pup back to you.

As mentioned above, it’s crucial your whippet stays nice and warm whilst camping, so if the weather is particularly icy, remember to pack an extra sweater and its favourite toy!

But don’t risk bringing your whippet if it’s incredibly cold as they simply won’t enjoy it.

Whilst on your trip, keep your dog hydrated with fresh water. Keep in mind that you don’t want him drinking from the lake unless it’s been properly treated beforehand or you can bring him his own separate bowl.

Make sure you empty and clean it regularly so bacteria doesn’t grow.

Your dog should be fed before you go, as trying to feed him in the wild will only result in a lost food bowl and your whippet’s uneaten dinner.

The last thing you want is for your whippet to not eat his meal and then steal snacks from you from the BBQ.

Ensure you have plenty of dog food for your whippet if you’re camping for a couple of nights, and don’t be tempted to give him lots of human snacks as this is bad for their health.

As a whole, camping with your whippet can be an incredibly fun experience for all of the family.

It’s great to have your pup with you whilst out in the wild and it makes the whole experience much more enjoyable.

Above all, camping with a whippet is a pleasure as long as you’re well prepared and know what to expect.

Everything You Need to Know About Whippets and How to Stay Safe

If you’ve seen HBO’s “Girls,” you might remember an episode from Season 2 where Hannah and Jessa join a pair of boys for a countryside convertible joyride — one that takes a reckless turn when the crew starts taking turns inhaling gas from the end of a can of whipped cream. In search of a giddy, short-lived high, that scene is one of many in films and TV that have turned whippets into an infamous part of pop culture.

But what are whippets? The gas is a fairly popular party drug that can cause you to feel euphoria, loopyness, and confusion. Yet despite their prevalence, using whippets can carry risks, and the exact chemical composition of the drug evades most.

Whippets (also known as “whippits” or “whip-its”) are a colloquial name for nitrous oxide, a colorless gas with a sweet aftertaste with many common household uses — and which can be inhaled for a warm, tingling effect that can make you feel “happy drunk.” The drug is extremely affordable and accessible, which partly accounts for their popularity; in 2020 , youth especially gravitated towards the gas, with 40% of tenth graders and 26% of eighth graders considered at risk of using the drug consistently.

It’s easy to buy nitrous oxide canisters over the counter, and the gas is found in everyday household items, like whipped cream cans and sprayable cooking oil; it’s even used to make nitro coffee. When used as an inhalant, effects can last up to a few minutes , depending on how much you inhale.

What are whippets?

Whippets are small cartridges that contain nitrous oxide, whose recreational use dates back to the late 1770s.

“Nitrous oxide is a chemical compound that is medically classified as a dissociative anesthetic and often used during medical procedures as a sedative,” says Dr. Michelle Forcier, a clinician for the LGBTQ+ telehealth company FOLX Health. “The drug can depress all sensations and detach you from yourself and your environment; when inhaled recreationally, it can create feelings of euphoria, confusion, and floating.” Forcier says it can also cause changes in perception and coordination, but the kind of high can vary from person to person depending on their usage.

“Because obtaining whippets is easier compared to obtaining other illegal drugs, they are frequently used by teens and young people,” Forcier said. This is partly due to the drug’s wide availability; besides being used in products as common as whipped cream, you’ll often find them being sold in smoke and sex shops. Their use is particularly popular for teens between the ages of 12 to 17 years old, who were almost two times as likely to have used whippets than young adults ages 18 to 25, according to the 2019 National Survey on Drug Use and Health .

Commonly sold in small aluminum containers known as “chargers” (so called for the way they “charge” a whipping cream dispenser with the gas, thus aerosolizing the contents and whipping them), users will puncture a receptacle to release the gas to be inhaled. Chargers can be opened and released into culinary whipped cream dispensers, balloons, bags, or various other implements. It’s important to note that forcing open canisters without an official rig can be very dangerous. “Intense pressures released can rupture the lungs and canisters can explode,” Forcier said.

People often use whippets for the feeling of euphoria they can create on a night out. Some people use whippets to enhance sexual pleasure, or even take a hit right before they orgasm to amplify it.

The effects of the drug are immediate and can last several minutes. Though all of the materials to do whippets are legal to purchase, they’re illegal to ingest recreationally — and like many recreational drugs, legal or not, they carry risks and benefits, so it’s important to know how to use them safely and their possible adverse effects prior to dabbling.

The drug can be addictive, but not in the way you might be used to. Using nitrous oxide repetitively over a prolonged time period can cause you to develop a psychological dependence on the drug; though you won’t face any significant withdrawal symptoms , apart from cravings to use more nitrous. “Whippets are not addictive in the classic sense that narcotics are addictive, and do not target or affect the same brain receptors and chemistries,” says Forcier. “However, when a substance gets in the way of healthy functioning, activities and relationships then treating it as an addiction might be useful.”

Are whippets safe to do?

Whippets aren’t risk-free; they can cause fainting or cardiac arrest when using other depressants or stimulant drugs. If inhaled directly, the drug can cause frostbite, given the pressurized canisters they are dispensed from can reach temperatures as cold as negative 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

Asphyxiation is another serious risk. “Because nitrous oxide displaces oxygen from blood cells, depresses the central nervous system, and can strain the heart, sudden death can occur, especially with extended or repeated inhalations,” Forcier says. Especially, she notes, in cases of extreme use, like using them in poorly ventilated spaces or inhaling them with a bag over one’s head. Using other stimulants or depressants simultaneously might increase the risk of sudden death, too.

There are more severe nitrous oxide side effects if you use them a lot. According to Forcier, nitrous oxide can affect the prefrontal cortex, which contains your brain’s areas of learning, decision making, and memory. Neurologic damage can occur after chronic use, especially in young people and teens.

According to Forcier, there isn’t much data on the effects of using whippets with other drugs, so the risks are unclear, though it is not recommended to use other depressants or stimulants at the same time. Forcier says using whippets with other substances like cannabis, ketamine, and other dissociative drugs may create a more intense out-of-body experience. Using whippets with alcohol may cause more feelings of confusion, fatigue, and lack of coordination, and taking whippets with stimulants might put additional strain on the heart and changes in heat beats or blood pressure, Forcier says.

When doing whippets, you should use the buddy system. It is not recommended that you use whippets if you are alone, as you can have an adverse reaction without someone there to help. It is best to not inhale the gas directly, using a plastic bag placed over your head, or in situations where if you pass out, you have the potential for serious injury (like driving a car, being in water or near heights). Your environment must be well-ventilated, open, and not near cigarettes, flames, or flammable substances. To avoid frostbite or rapid propulsion into your mouth and lungs, you can discharge the canister into a balloon to allow for the gas to warm up and to inhale more slowly.

And if you think your whippet use is becoming a problem or you are facing addiction, acknowledging that it is a problem is the first step. If available to you, therapy is always a great option, especially for tackling not just the habit but the reasons behind one’s use. Getting in touch with your local substance use or recovery services to find out programming specific to nitrous oxide use is also something to consider. “It’s important to consider whether or not whippet use is creating a larger negative impact on your life,” Forcier says. “Substance use is common and a part of most cultures. Using substances safely and in moderation are critical to long-term health and safety.”

Are whippets legal?

One of the most popular ways to do whippets is through whipped cream dispensers. Though all of the materials to do whippets, like whipped cream canisters, are legal, their consumption is not. The recreational use of Nitrous Oxide canisters is illegal in all states under the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016. Some states are attempting to limit access and recreational “Whip-it” use by proposing bills to ban the “Whip-its” from smoke shops.

Whippets are sweet, playful, and docile dogs with strong hunting instincts. As much as they like chasing smaller animals, they love to curl up on the couch with their human parents. This makes them one of the best family dogs out there. If you want a super active dog who likes to run around the house and yard, Whippets will be your right choice.

However, their athleticism and strong chase drive can make it difficult to manage them outdoors. These dogs are also highly susceptible to injuries due to their fragile bone structure. It also makes them sensitive to harsh weather conditions.

Before bringing a Whippet to your home, you must consider all these factors beforehand. It can be pretty hard to ensure your dog’s safety in winter.

Whippets are known hunters with a strong prey drive. This natural instinct encourages these dogs to run around the house and chase small animals whenever possible.

Considering their speed, it will be pretty hard to manage them outside or in a non-fenced area. If things go out of control, your dog may get into a dangerous situation. So, you will always have to keep them on a leash, especially when going out for walks.

Whippets have thin skin and lean build, but did you know they are quite fragile? Yes, these dogs have a delicate bone structure, making them prone to different injuries, such as fractures.

Whippets have lightweight, thin bones and minimal body fat and muscle mass. This provides less protection around the dog’s organs and bones, increasing their chances for injuries when engaged in rough play.

So, you must be super careful with your pet Whippet, especially during vigorous physical exercises. Make sure to keep an eye on your dog during their exercise and training sessions and prevent them from doing high-impact activities. You can’t put a strain on their fragile joints! Even a slight jump or collision can make your Whippet injured. Not fair, right?

11. Whippets Are Prone to Separation Anxiety

Like most dogs, Whippets are also vulnerable to separation anxiety when left alone for extended periods. These dogs love being around people, especially their owners. They become anxious and exhibit destructive behaviors when they don’t see them around. It could be chewing household items, digging in the yard, barking, or destroying anything they get their hands on. Some dogs even try to escape in distress.

The primary reasons for separation anxiety in these dogs are their emotional attachment to their human parents and desire for companionship. Simply put, Whippets love their owners quite a lot and get sad when they don’t see them.

While this condition is manageable with early socialization, it still requires much effort from the owner. So, are you ready to cope with this situation? If so, don’t be scared of adopting a Whippet; that’s not that big of a con!

12. They Are Unsuitable for Outdoor Living

Whippets are indoor dogs for many reasons. First, they have thin skin. Second, they don’t have thick coats. Third, their bones are fragile. Fourth, they have a lean build. All these factors make these dogs unsuitable for outdoor living.

Whippets also have a high prey drive, so keeping them safe outside, even on a leash, will be hard. You can never know when they hear the sound of their prey and start running. Considering their speed, it won’t be easy to catch them anytime soon.

Don’t even think about living with a Whippet outside if you live in a cold area. You know how sensitive these dogs are to colder conditions. But did you know these dogs are also susceptible to heat strokes in hot weather? There is no way you can live with these dogs outdoors!

Whippets are great family dogs . Due to their loving and affectionate nature, they love spending time with their human parents. You will find them snuggling with you under the blanket and enjoying your favorite TV show on the couch.

These dogs are also highly athletic , agile, friendly, and intelligent. They also make excellent apartment dogs due to their medium size, low barking tendency, and less grooming needs. However, not everything is good about them.

Whippets are susceptible to harsh weather conditions due to their lean build, less hair density, and fragile bones. They also have a strong prey drive , making them unsuitable for outdoor living. These dogs are also susceptible to separation anxiety .

Consider all these factors before bringing a Whippet to your home to make the right decision!

Patches — alone and unwanted but saved by love (a long and continuing story)....

This is the ongoing saga of Patches, a feral, unwanted stray in the Rio Grande Valley (along the Mexican border) in Texas.

This is a departure from our traveling blog series.  While at home, Roger and I volunteer at a local no-kill shelter,  Cinderella Pet Rescue .

Several months ago, another volunteer, Sharon, noticed a skinny, bedraggled small dog hanging out beside the busy road where we drive to and from the pet rescue.

She was starting to get accustomed to her surroundings.  That let her personality start to break through.  Initially that meant her frustration in being confined!   She did not bark (I still have never heard her bark).  But this is what she had done to her pee pad overnight, and also a Ziplock bag that held her harness:

I thought that day had gone well, but the next day when I went to visit, she would not even look at me.  Would not take a hot dog from me.  Wanted nothing to do with me!   I went home dejected.  

The next day I tried again, with Sharon's help.  She found a harness that fit better and we carried her back into the arena (she would not walk.)  Sharon took some photos of that day.   I tried to crop myself out of the shots because we'd already walked the other shelter dogs all morning and I was a hot mess.

Patches liked being outdoors but was wary and constantly looking for danger. 

She would not walk on a leash.  We had to carry her to and from the arena.  I decided to try this every day for a while and see if she would get used to being on a leash and being outside.  I decided to drop the leashes and let her wander on her own.  Predictably, she sought shelter under the ramp.  

This was a very hot day, and I left her there and moved my beach chair into the shade.  She peeked out to see where I was...

Fredericksburg in the texas hill country.

Roger here...  Well it is time to wrap things up.  Our summer travels have come to an end.  

Our first stop after the travails of Abilene was Fredericksburg, Texas, one of our favorite places. We stayed five nights and decided not to cram too much into every day.  There is so much to do.

FREDERICKSBURG...

The Campground....  

We parked our Airstream at the Bending Oaks RV Resort (formerly the KOA).  The park is still very much the same as before, except that it is now a 21-plus park (no kids).  The new owners are making some very nice improvements.  We always reserve a nice, quiet, shady spot in the back near the goats, sheep and donkeys who live on the farm just across the fence from our site.

 Clear River Ice Cream, Bakery, and Deli is a must-stop visit.  So many flavors of delicious ice cream.

However, it did not arrive in an orange pot.

The seating areas all seem to be in the middle of the vineyards.  

Signor Winery...

A new favorite winery for us is the pricey Signor Winery.  The wine is delicious.  Dianne's favorite is the Sangiovese.  

This unique venue requires weaving along winding and hilly roads for 10 or so miles.  It is truly out in the country (not far from Luckenbach).  Sometimes you need to get away from all the wine and have a cold beer.

After filling our stomachs with the great food at Alamo Springs, we decided to drive to the small town of Comfort to find the Singing Hills Winery.  A friend of ours recommended it.  What a cool place.

McKINNEY FALLS STATE PARK....

A trip to Austin was necessary for the annual warranty inspection of our Airstream.  McKinney Falls State Park is located between downtown Austin and the Airport, a short (but hectic) drive to the Airstream dealership.  We spent three nights at this great park, and quite a bit of time moving things from the Airstream to the SUV, in case the inspection and minor repairs lasted more than a day.

So, we drove the SUV home (5 1/2 hours).  We will have to drive back to Austin to get it when it is finished, but that trip will certainly not be blogworthy.

This summer has been quite a ride.  We saw so many new and gorgeous areas.  We saw our daughter and son-in-law twice.  We connected with old friends.  We had countless new experiences.

A week in the Bavarian-themed town of Leavenworth WA where Robyn and Atul met us

Rocky Mountain National Park, CO

Capulin Volcanic National Park, NM

PET PICTURE OF THE DAY....

The Bending Oaks RV Resort outside of Fredericksburg is evidently a dumping ground for unwanted cats.  The park owners get them vaccinated and spayed or neutered.  They also try to find them homes.  Dianne and I did not mind the curious felines.  They were fun to watch.   They also provided excitement for our dogs :-).

The orange guy below flaked out underneath Poquita's table one day without a care in the world.

New stamps issued featuring images of popular dog breeds

Royal Mail worked on the stamp issue with an animal expert.

Royal Mail is issuing a new set of stamps featuring images of some of the nation’s favourite dog breeds.

The stamps show a Dalmatian, Jack Russell-type terrier, Labrador Retriever, Border Collie, whippet, Siberian Husky, Chihuahua, cocker spaniel, Pembroke Welsh Corgi and pug.

The Royal Mail noted that more people around the world own a dog than any other pet, and a third of households in the UK have one.

“We hope that these beautiful stamps will bring added joy when they drop through people’s letterboxes on cards and letters – and remind our customers to place their cherished dog in another room when opening the door to collect mail from their postie.”

Royal Mail worked on the stamp issue with animal expert Tamsin Pickeral, who is the author of The Dog: 5,000 Years Of The Dog in Art and The Spirit of the Dog.

– Royal Mail’s Dog Awareness Week will take place in the first week of July.
