American metalcore band Avenged Sevenfold was founded during the early 2000s. It was the era of emerging melodic-core heavy metal acts and the rise of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal. During this time, the bands displayed complex and powerful drumming and endless melodies through their singing, guitar solos, and riffs. Avenged Sevenfold brought it all – courtesy of their remarkable singer, M Shadows, talented guitarists Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance, and out-of-this-world drummer, The Rev.

The band showcased a dynamic new sound with their debut album, Sound the Seventh Trumpet. Although, at this time, metalcore was still unheard of, the genre slowly rose due to the band’s exemplary musicianship. In 2003, their sophomore effort, Waking the Fallen, broke into the mainstream charts. The album spawned the hit “Unholy Confessions,” initially entered the Top Heatseekers and Independent Albums at numbers 15 and 12. But thanks to the band’s eventual popularity, the album became a sleeper hit, peaking at number 10 on the Billboard 200 in 2014. In 2021, Waking the Fallen was recorded to have sold over one million copies, earning a platinum certification in the U.S.

In 2005, Avenged Sevenfold dropped their best-selling album, City of Evil. The third studio effort sold over 1.5 million copies thanks in part to epic heavy metal bangers, such as “Bat Country,” “Beast and the Harlot,” and “Seize the Day.” “Bat Country” became the band’s breakout single into the mainstream chart, peaking at number 2 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks. The album demonstrated a more radio-friendly version of Avenged Sevenfold’s previous work, but the music retained the band’s signature sound minus vocal screamings. Instead, M. Shadows demonstrated a wide singing vocal range after working with vocal coach Ron Anderson for several months.

This 2023, the band released is set to release their latest effort, Life is But a Dream… The album has already been preceded by the lead single, “Nobody,” which peaked at number 8 on the Mainstream Rock chart.

Avenged Sevenfold’s show at the USANA Amphitheater will feature a special guest, Falling in Reverse. The band is from a newer generation of the metalcore era, and their music demonstrates all the necessary elements, plus a few other influences. Falling in Reverse is one of the few metal bands that brought back rapping, courtesy of singer-rapper Ronnie Radke. Last year, the band released their hit single, “Zombiefied, which peaked at number 16 on the Hot Rock and Alternative Songs. The single is featured in the band’s brand-new EP, Neon Zombie, which spawned two more songs, “Voices in My Head” and “Watch the World Burn.”

Avenged Sevenfold Announce Second Leg of 2023 North American Tour With Falling In Reverse

Avenged Sevenfold have just announced a second North American leg of their Life Is But a Dream... tour with special guest Falling In Reverse , with an additional support act yet to be announced.

In late March, A7X unveiled the first leg of dates stretching from July 18 through Aug. 7, which will mark their first proper tour since 2018. Now, they've added an additional 17 stops from Sept. 16 through Oct. 15, all of which can be seen further down the page.

Tickets will be available to everyone starting April 14 at 10AM local time through Live Nation. Meanwhile, pre-sale tickets will be accessible for Deathbats Club members and TicketPass holders can request tickets first from now through April 12 at 3PM ET using Ticketmaster's new Token-Gated Sales platform at this location .

Talking about Avenged Sevenfold's new ticketing system, frontman M. Avenged Sevenfold Announce Fall U.S. Tour With Falling In Reverse

Multi-platinum progressive metal outfit Avenged Sevenfold have announced a second U.S. leg of touring on their forthcoming album “ Life Is But A Dream… “. Falling In Reverse will once again join them on these newly announced dates. The trek will be the first to take advantage of Avenged Sevenfold ‘s blockchain-based Ticketpass system .

Avenged Sevenfold announce 2024 North American tour with Poppy and Sullivan King

Avenged Sevenfold are taking Life Is But A Dream… back out across North America in March, with support coming from Poppy and Sullivan King.

Avenged Sevenfold have announced a spring 2024 tour of North America – the third leg of their Life Is But A Dream… run.

The metal heroes will be joined by a very cool supporting cast of Poppy and Sullivan King for these March shows. General sale tickets are available from this Friday, December 1 at 10am, though the band’s Deathbats Club and TicketPass system will be going live from today (Tuesday, November 28) at 10pm ET.

“TicketPass will by no means cost anyone any money, you won’t have to get involved in cryptocurrency, you won’t have to do any of these things that people feel uncomfortable with, and the token that we’re going to be using is on the Polygon network – an environmentally-friendly blockchain,” explains frontman M. Shadows. “We want to roll something out to the rest of our fanbase without them having to opt into a full fan club experience that is strictly for tickets and ensuring our fans get the best tickets they desire first.

“At the end of the day, we want to know your feedback on if this worked well for you, and we will take notes and mold this for you. Look at this as a frequent flier miles type of program – with Avenged Sevenfold, we will be breaking these passes into ‘tiers’ over time and rewarding the people who have been participating the most in our A7X ecosystem (with merchandise, listening habits, music consumption, live events, and other metrics).”

That show, in SLC Utah, was phenomenal. They're just amazing people who worked so hard and got where they deserve to be. I enjoyed watching the result of their hard work, and I plan to watch more shows that come around. I want to see them succeed more and accomplish more stuff in the future. They're such great people, amazing artists, great role models for aspiring musicians everywhere, and (by the twitter videos) they're amazing parents. I'll always be a death bat, not only for their music but for them as human beings. God Damn.

Well, I'm not sure which show I'm supposed to review, so I'll do both. I saw them on Friday at shoreline amphitheater and then on Monday at golden one center. For the 1st show we had lawn tickets, it was still good. This was my 6th time seeing them. It was my 13 year old son's 1st concert. They always put on an excellent show.

Mondays show was the best one I've been to,my 7th time seeing them , because we were right up front on the floor. It was awesome. The crowd gets pretty aggressive, but I already knew that. I ended up being pulled out from security for trying to break up a fight, so that wasn't fun, but nothing against the band, they rocked.

What an amazing live performance. They kept the audience engaged the entire time. I'm not their biggest fan but there was a few songs that I wish had been on the set list that weren't. Then again, that's just my preference. Regardless, Matt has an amazing voice and I was blown away. The only thing that bothered me was that the sound mix seemed a bit off which sucks because that's obviously not the band's fault. At first the bass was so low that anytime the guitars started playing harmonies the sound got really thin/empty. Also I thought that Synyster was playing sloppily (which I would have been extremely surprised if that was the case) because some parts in his solos seemed inaudible but I finally realized that the guitars were getting smothered in the mix. I only notice this stuff because I play in a band and do live shows myself so it probably didn't bother too many people besides me. Overall, 10/10 live performance, and I would totally go see them again. (Hopefully at another venue)

Avenged sevenfold 'life is but a dream...' north american tour.

Avenged Sevenfold announces the third leg of their  Life is But A Dream…  North American tour, featuring  Poppy  and  Sullivan   King .  The tour stops at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

Tickets will be available for the newly announced 2024 shows starting with a Deathbats Club and TicketPass presale (details below) through Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 10 p.m. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale on Friday, Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. at  rocketmortgagefieldhouse.com.

Deathbats Club members can request tickets first, now through Tuesday, November 28 at 10 pm ET using Ticketmaster’s new Token-Gated Sales platform at  avengedsevenfold.io/ . Deathbats Club is a collection of 10,000 unique Deathbat NFTs, made popular by Avenged Sevenfold, flying around the Ethereum blockchain. A Deathbat is a membership card into the club and offers many rewards and access to events that will take place in the “metaverse” and in real life. 

TicketPass  holders can also request early access to tickets from Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 4 p.m. through Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 10 p.m. at  avengedsevenfold.io/ . TicketPass is a new blockchain based verification and rewards system, created by Avenged Sevenfold & Bitflips. It is free, eco-friendly and requires very few steps to ensure fans can acquire the tickets they desire. All fans have to do is set up a MetaMask or Coinbase wallet and Avenged Sevenfold will airdrop them a TicketPass immediately. A full step by step breakdown from M. Shadows is available  here . 

During the Presale window, fans will use their Dapp wallet (MetaMask, Coinbase, Etc.) to authenticate their access and then submit their request for tickets. After the request period closes, they will receive a confirmation from Ticketmaster if tickets matching their preferences have been secured.
