Excellent location for a family holiday!

Excellent location for a family holiday. We have been coming here since I was a child and it had absolutely everything to do and we still return year after year. From the theme park, zoo, arcades, entertainment, daytime shows and swimming complex. On our most recent visit (April 2024), all rides were open and there were hardly any queues so we went on each ride multiple times. Lots of other reviews say it was very busy and they had to queue for over an hour but this wasn't the case for us. Will definately be coming back again soon and recommending to all my friends with children!

Substandard, the public deserve better

We thought we'd have a good family day out with the grandchildren, we got there and found most of the rides were closed. The splash boat had been dismantled for repairs, everything in that area wasn't accessible , when it started to rain a lot of the rides closed, the rides that were open were possibly under staffed because the ques were long and going down very slowly. the track with the racing cars(F1) was a joke , empty cars and they'd only send a couple out at a time so people got frustrated at the long wait. Even Velocity and the train that takes you round the park were closed, they still charged full price though for the visit but delivered a very substandard experience. To sum it up it's not value for money, with poor facilities, too many rides closed which makes it very over priced for what is on offer compared to other venues, with it's scruffy appearance, and very expensive food, not worth the money, at least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask!

Rickety ride to your death

Can’t believe how much it has gone downhill over the years. Looks scruffy, majority of the rides were shut for repairs. The rides that were open sounded&looked like they were 300years old & needed repairs! We couldn’t go on the main ride as there wasn’t enough people to get on with us (even though the control box had 5/6 staff members literally doing nothing- all miserable faced). So many reviews similar to this too which is more irritating knowing they are aware of this issue - yet still keep the park open for the same price- ripping people off!

Don’t waste your time and money

Absolutely appalling, We got on Sik then had a walk round most of the rides were closed, qued up for Kamali waited 30 mins for it to break down so turned us away mumbo jumbo had the biggest Que has you can imagine with so many rides closed the remaining few were 50/60 mins wait flipflop was closed, twistasaurus closed velocity closed navigator closed so had a walk round the zoo most of the enclosures were empty so called in to get food qued up for pizza and chips to be told out of stock so we tried the burger bar were the staff were arguing and really stressed out shouting at each other managed to get our food, went into the shop for a coffee surprise surprise out of stock this was at 12.30 went back to Sik which was also closed we went home at 2 I’m surprised we made it till then, we managed to get on Sik and the swinging chairs we asked a member of staff if the other rides would be opening to be told there closed for the rest of the day then with nothing to do and board off our heads we went home shocking 😳

At just under £180 for 3 people it was…

At just under £180 for 3 people it was expensive, most of the food outlets were closed and the ones available were also and of poor quality. Some of the facilities such as monorail and some rides were also unavailable. The fee did include rides but not the arcades and whole our 2 year old went free many of the kiddies rides weren't suitable. The zoo area was scruffy. On the plus side the staff were pleasant and friendly. Won't be returning in a hurry.

What an absolutely awful place

What an absolutely awful place. Overpriced to start with. Run down and dirty. We are a party of 4 adults and one child and paid £216.00. Not worth £16. Rides slow to load or not working. Coffee shop (Costa) - no iced drinks, no choice of milk, no sandwiches at 2pm. Shambolic and will be advising any contacts to stay clear.

£320 for 3 nights in our own tourer

£320 for 3 nights in our own tourer, electric keeps tripping, facilities are DISGUSTING! Grass is overgrown on camp site, dog foul all over, facilities Rarely cleaned, we had to pay £9.80 for 2 waters and a fruit shoot! The food is disgusting, beef on the Sunday lunch is like chewing gum, veg cold, Chinese food was crap undercooked chips, miserable lady behind the counter at the Chinese and over priced again! Enjoyed party in the park that’s always good but apart from that the owner needs to start spending his millions instead of getting his helicopter to transport him over! ALSO the prices need to come down to make it more affordable for normal people!!!!

Willow Grove

Just come across this review regarding willow grove and have to 100% disagree, I’ve stayed in this van many times and the owners are lovely, it also states in their terms and conditions about cancellation that we have to sign before we can book a holiday. No travel company would give you a refund days before you were due to arrive!! Maybe get yourself travel insurance like we do? Lovely caravan on a great location we’ve already booked back up for 2024!

Date of experience : 08 July 2023

We were really looking forward to…

We were really looking forward to flamingo lands arcades. But on arrival discovered that using the machines had changed, from using cash to cards. We prefer the old fashion way. And its better to keep track on what you spend. Using cards spoilt our daughters experience. Will definitely not use there arcades again. Also ordering food in the American diner was daft. We left. Staff were miserable.

Date of experience : 30 July 2023

DANGEROUS DISREGARD 4 COVID

If you want to get a dose of Covid, and get some old fashioned Faulty Towers style abuse, then waste good time and money get yourself here straight away! No distancing / No cleaning / Half the rides not working / Half the rides working braking down / it’s a shocking experience / Rude staff None of the “Leadership” team know there is a pandemic!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID ITS DANGEROUS & DISGUSTING

Date of experience : 30 August 2020

Stay away. Full of chavs drinking, smoking and swearing at each other. It is a queue jumpers galore. If you see a short queue and think it will only take 30 mins, forget it, you need to quadruple your expectation at least. Due to slow staff and a seemingly never ending supply of entire families and groups wearing disability wrist bands. 2 hours 15 minutes waiting for the log flume ride. An absolute joke. Dreadful place which is filthy and run down, with broken fences, closed rides and miserable looking staff. The poor animals looked bored and depressed. This place needs investigating and closing down!

Date of experience : 26 July 2021

Really Disappointing

Really Disappointing Sooooo many rides just not working, and if /when they did open up, there was no telling how long before they broke down / closed again. Those rides that were open had huge queues - we’re talking an hour for little family rides, two hours for thrill rides; as a result each ride we did manage to get on works out to have cost a fortune! Just not worth the money! I could go on … the place looks shabby and run-down, the food outlets didn’t stock what they advertised they had …One plus side is that the Chinese takeaway on-site was excellent - efficient, good quality and value for money.

Date of experience : 17 August 2023

We just had two weeks here June 22

We just had two weeks here, kids loved it, My only complaint is that a lot of rides kept breaking down or weren’t on, my older kids were desperately wanting to go on flip flop but it was off the whole two weeks, they need to put more money into fixing the rides, or employ more staff so that all the rides were running. Most of the staff were excellent however manager of diner was very rude!!!

Date of experience : 26 June 2022

Great Week away at Flamingo Land…131 Willow Grove

Great Week away at Flamingo Land Resort... It was an absolute pleasure to stay in 131 Willow Grove, The van is sited in a great location moments away from all the action of the park and the amenities, Although the British summer was a bit damp it didnt spoil our weeks break thanks to the caravan having a selection of Dvd movies to watch , and good old monopoly and other games on hand to while away a rainy day ... Everything we needed for the day to day was supplied and communication with the owners before and during our stay was perfect ... i wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to others looking to stay on the park ... The Ferry Family

Date of experience : 31 July 2023

Very long queue times, not enough carriages on rides

The rides were good but the queue times were very long - mainly due to lack of carriages on the rides, fast track tickets taking up half the space and slow ride changeovers. We queued for two hours for the Hero ride with only two carriages working. Anyone would think this was intentional to encourage people to buy fast track tickets. This park could be so much better if the owners thought about the customers instead of profits.

Date of experience : 23 August 2022

Our first and last visit to…

Our first and last visit to Flamingoland. Ridiculous queue times so we managed to get on one ride. The rubbish and litter not being cleaned up at the food outlets meant we were infested with wasps. We felt sorry for the staff who looked miserable, the majority appearing very young, inexperienced and in the main, unsupervised. Give this place a miss, there are loads of other places that appreciate your hard earned money and provide a far better customer experience.

Date of experience : 24 August 2022

Filthy, grimy

Filthy, grimy awful place. A lot of rides/services were closed. The staff were rude and unhelpful and bordering on aggressive! What a rip off. Even my 7 yr old grandson noticed the attitude of the staff! Polite suggestion, clean up your act Flamingo Land!! And lower your prices to represent the customer experience. I will not be returning

Date of experience : 24 October 2021

Where have all the animal's gone

So upset about the state of the park . I have been a visitor for 60yrs with my kids as now grandchildren and went last week never again . No lions tigers baboons elephants monkeys all the enclosures are overgrown and empty my 4yr old granddaughter was so disappointed can't call it a zoo anymore . Most of the adult rides were closed such a waste of money never again the management should be ashamed of themselves my advice go elsewhere to spend your hard earned money .

Date of experience : 05 August 2021

Horrendous, do not waste your money on visiting this place. It was far too busy (advised to book online due to restricted numbers - this was not the case at all!), it was absolutely filthy with rubbish everywhere, all the hand sanitisers were empty, no social distancing, no cleaning taking place anywhere. We paid £240 for 2 family tickets, spent nearly 8 hours there and only managed to go on 2 rides as the rest were either closed before we got there, closed while we were there due to technical difficulties or the queues for the remaining rides were almost 3 hours long!!! Queues for food were just as bad and hardly anywhwre was open!! Absolute shambles and a huge disappointment. You should be ashamed at charging people so much.
