Chinchilla Tourist Park Features

The beautifully landscaped cabin and caravan park, situated at 264 Zeller Street Chinchilla, will provide all guests and visitors with a comfortable environment for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

The cabins are of the highest quality and contain a king or queen bed as well as rooms that can sleep 4 people, 42 inch flat screen television, large refrigerator / freezer, Foxtel, free Wi-Fi, fully self contained kitchen with ceramic cook top and microwave oven. The ensuite is large with shower, vanity basin and toilet.

Chinchilla Tourist Park with cabins and caravan sites is beautifully landscaped with tree lined streets and grassed areas.

Chinchilla Tourist Park has an 100 seat dining room that is open for a full buffet breakfast from 5am and evening meals from 6pm. Lunch is available if required.

The caravan park guests have 2 camp kitchens and 2 amenities blocks for the use of all guests. The camp kitchens have BBQ’s and games areas. Laundries with coin operated machines are also provided.

There is a large fully fenced swimming pool and pool area available for the use of all guests at Chinchilla Tourist Park. It is beautifully landscaped and has seating and tables to sit and relax.

There is also a 3 acre parkland for walking or just sitting and relaxing at one of the seven picnic tables scattered through the park or overlooking the fully fenced dam where you can feed the fish. There is a Bbq area available to use as well.

Caravaners are welcome to bring their pets or guests can stay in our pet friendly cabin.

Chinchilla Tourist Park is situated on Zeller Street Chinchilla, 500 metres away from the Warrego Highway.

The cabin and caravan park is only 5 minutes from the heart of Chinchilla and the RSL Club and hotels. Courtesy buses are available.

Chinchilla Tourist Park (CP)

DISCLAIMER: All prices displayed were correct at the time of publishing.  Please contact any campground/caravan park before booking to confirm the pricing displayed in FRCs listings.

Chinchilla Tourist Park is a modern cabin and caravan park. There are 70 deluxe cabins, and 35 powered caravan sites and 6 un- powered  tent sites.

The caravan sites are all flat and level with a concrete pad beside them. Each site has its own power box with an outlet for free Wi-fi and Foxtel (Cable Provided). There are 2 large modern amenity blocks 2 camp kitchens, 2 dump points and 2 laundries.

There is a pool, gym and restaurant which provides all you can eat meals seven nights a week excluding Saturday nights. Breakfast is also served daily.  To the rear of the park is a lovely park area to walk around or just sit and relax, which also has BBQ facilities. Pets are welcome and can enjoy running around in the park setting. There is also a fenced dam with yabbies.

We also offer gas refills and a complementary ice dispenser unit.

HOW TO GET THERE Chinchilla is located on the Warrego Highway, between Miles & Dalby.  Easiest access is Via Carmichael Street, approximately 3km East of Town.  From Carmichael Street, turn right into Zellar Street, and the entrance is on your left.

SITE ACCESS Site access is wide and there is an area to pull up to the left and directly in front of the reception office where you can check in and be shown to your preferred site.

FEES & BOOKINGS Bookings are not essential, but preferred. Powered sites are from $38 per site. Cabins from $109

THINGS TO DO Known as the Watermelon Capital of Australia, Chinchilla holds a bi-annual Mellon Festival in February of each year.  There is also the local Historical Museum and White Gums Art Gallery.

Caravan Parks cater for a full range of accommodation options, from basic tent sites to a variety of RVs ranging from Campervans to Large Motorhomes, Caravans, and Big Rigs. Camp right next to the beach. Perlubie Beach Campground is locatead few minutes north of Streaky Bay offering a beach camping ground with toilet facilities. The unpowered pet-friendly site is accessible to motorhomes, caravans, and camper trailers with areas suitable for tents. You MUST have a suitable toilet on site. One must have an above ground fire pit and bring your own sources of wood/fuel.
