2023 Tour de France watch guide: Everything to know to get ready for the 110th edition

The Super Bowl of cycling is back.

Jonas Vingegaard will attempt to defend his title in the 110th Tour de France, which starts July 1. Last year's win was the Danish rider's first victory as he beat the favored Tadej Pogacar with impressive performances in the mountains.

The yellow jersey is up for grabs again as Pogacar will be racing after suffering a broken wrist in April. Other notable participants include Spain's Mikel Landa and Enric Mas, France's David Gaudu and Australia's Jai Hindley and Ben O'Connor.

American team Trek-Segafredo will rebrand at the end of this month and race as Lidl-Trek for the Tour de France. Mattias Skjelmose, 22, won the Tour de Suisse on Sunday and the Dane will be seeking to carry that momentum into the Tour de France.

This year's route starts in Bilbao, Spain before its celebratory conclusion in Paris, France.

What channel shows the Tour de France?

You can watch the Tour de France on NBC , USA Network, and Peacock . You’ll get the most live coverage from Peacock, which streams every stage and the daily Tour de France Pre-Race Show . USA Network shows a mix of live and encore coverage, while NBC carries select portions of the race—primarily an encore of the final stage in Paris.

2023 Tour de France schedule

This year’s Tour de France begins on July 1 in Spain before crossing into France on the third day. As usual, the 21-day route features a solid mix of flat to mountainous terrain. Two rest days break up the action before racers make their way to the Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris on July 23.

2023 Tour de France Femmes schedule

Just as the men’s tour wraps up in Paris, the Tour de France Femmes takes off from Clermont-Ferrand. This is the second edition of the women’s race and features an eight-day route ending with an individual time trial in Pau.

Best TV plans for watching the Tour de France

A Peacock subscription is the best way to watch the Tour de France. Starting at $4.99 a month, the streaming service provides live and on-demand access to every stage of the men’s and women’s races. The most convenient way to watch the Tour de France for free is by using an over-the-air (OTA) antenna to pick up your local NBC station. Unfortunately, NBC doesn’t show a lot of race coverage—mostly encore presentations of early and late stages. But it never hurts having an antenna in your TV setup.

If you don’t have an antenna, most cost between $20.00 and $60.00. We recommend the Mohu Leaf 50 for its 60-mile range and slim design. But you’ll want to verify the distance of your nearest NBC station by entering your zip code into the Federal Communications Commission’s Reception Map Tool . The 110th Tour de France will stream on Peacock and air on NBC and USA Network throughout July 2023. Peacock offers the best way to watch Le Tour because it streams every stage from beginning to end. It also carries the entire women’s race, which begins the same day as the men’s competition ends.

If you’re a cycling fan without access to fast and reliable internet, most cable and satellite TV services have NBC and USA Network. Those channels don’t show as much Tour de France coverage as Peacock, but you’ll still see the most vital moments of the race.

The 2022 Tour de France begins on Friday, July 1 (7/1/2022) in Copenhagen, Denmark — arguably the cycling capital of the world — kicking off a 21-stage, 24-day cycling Grand Tour.

This year, TV coverage of the Tour de France will be primarily on USA Network, with select sections also airing on NBC, which can be streamed on DirecTV Stream , fuboTV and other live TV services. The TV broadcast will typically be delayed by an hour or more, but the official live stream of the event can be found, every day on Peacock Premium .

The 2021 Tour was originally slated to start in Copenhagen, but was relocated to Brest, France due to Covid-19. Finally, it returns to the capital of Denmark, a country renowned for more than 7,500 miles of bike routes and bike lanes, and in a city where more than half the commuters bike to work.

This year’s route will traverse Denmark for the first three stages, before a transfer day brings cyclists to Dunkirk and they proceed along the east border of France with stops in Belgium and Switzerland. Then, the course heads inland and south to the Pyrenees before returning to Paris for the big finish.

Tadej Pogacar, who at age 21 became the second-youngest winner in race history —and the youngest in over a century — is looking to add another line in the history books by winning for the third straight year. If he does, he will join Chris Froome as the second three-peat winner in the last 27 years.

What is the Tour de France 2022 schedule?

You can stream all 21 stages of the Tour de France live on Peacock Premium . The TV broadcast will be delayed by an hour or more, but can be streamed on DirecTV Stream , fuboTV , Hulu + Live TV and YouTube TV .

What is Peacock Premium?

Peacock Premium is a video streaming service from NBC that includes a huge library of content, including episodes of “The Office,” “Parks & Recreation,” and more hit NBC TV series. L'Étape du Tour Connectée is back

L'Étape du Tour de France Connectée 2024 will be highlighting the sporting achievements of women with a challenge covering a distance of  108.6 km  this year, in reference to the  1,086 women  who took part in L'Étape du Tour de France 2023! Whether you're looking to fine-tune your preparation for  L'Étape du Tour de France 2024 , from Nice to the Col de la Couillole on 7 July, challenge yourself over a longer distance or simply take advantage of the warmer weather to get out and ride,  all cyclists are invited to sign up for the L'Étape du Tour de France Connectée 2024 challenge , which will take place from 8 to 12 May. The most daring cyclists will be able to tackle the 108.6km challenge in one go, while others will be able to complete it in several stages.

The challenge is open to all cyclists aged 18 and over, anywhere in the world.

To top it all off, there are a number of prizes up for grabs for all finishers who enter the draw: a  Tissot watch ,  Bibs for L'Étape by Tour de France  in the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Ireland..., but above all,  the last bibs for L'Étape du Tour de France 2024 !

Giro 2024 : Tadej Pogacar remporte une troisième victoire au sommet de Prati di Tivo et conforte son avance au classement général

Au lendemain de son succès impressionnant sur le contre-la-montre , Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) a signé une troisième victoire d'étape sur le Tour d'Italie 2024 au sommet de Prati di Tivo, samedi 11 mai. Le Slovène s'est laissé porter jusqu'aux derniers mètres par son équipier Rafal Majka, attendant le sprint final pour battre sans difficulté les autres grimpeurs encore présents dans le groupe de tête au sommet de la dernière ascension. Au jeu des bonifications, il porte son avance à 2'40" sur son plus proche poursuivant, Daniel Felipe Martinez (Bora-Hansgrohe).

Seulement 152 kilomètres séparaient Spoleto de Prati di Tivo, mais le relief de cette étape sans tronçon plat a engendré des dégâts parmi les favoris. Plusieurs membres du top 10 ont perdu du temps, dont le maillot blanc Luke Plapp et Alexey Lutsenko. Les Français Julian Alaphilippe, Romain Bardet et Valentin Paret-Peintre ont fait le spectacle dans l'échappée matinale, avant d'être inexorablement repris par le rouleau compresseur UAE Team Emirates. Dimanche, l'étape d'Avezzano à Naples sera moins corsée.

Vidéo. Tour du Finistère 2024 : Benoît Cosnefroy remporte au sprint sa 2e victoire à Quimper, une course animée par le Norvégien Idar Andersen

Encore une victoire de Benoît Cosnefroy sur le Tour du Finistère, ce 11 mai 2024, sa deuxième à Quimper. La course a été magnifiquement animée par une échappée lancée dès le premier kilomètre et le beau numéro du Norvégien Idar Andersen qui a ravi le public.

Ce qu'il faut savoir

"Du vélo comme on l'aime" sourit Jean-Marc Seigner à quelques kilomètres de l'arrivée du Tour du Finistère 2024. Le spécialiste du vélo, aux commentaires de l'épreuve, se régale comme le public du beau numéro d'Idar Andersen . Le Norvégien a été ovationné par les Quimperois lors de l'avant-dernier passage sur la ligne d'arrivée.

Un Tour du Finistère 2024 de toute beauté

Le coureur d' Uno-X Pro Mobility s'est fait rattraper dans la dernière bosse et c'est Benoit Cosnefroy qui s'offre la victoire, sa deuxième ici à Quimper.

Les amoureux de cyclisme ont pu vivre une course au scénario incroyable dès les premiers. Quatre hommes se sont échappés pour faire course en tête jusqu'à 20 kilomètres de l'arrivée. Le Norvégien s'est extrait seul du peloton pour finir par les dépasser, Idar Andersen mérite son titre de combattant du jour.

Avec cette victoire Benoit Cosnefroy, le coureur de Decathlon-AG2R La Mondiale, s'offre la première place sur la coupe de France.

Les coureurs se sont élancés de Quimper pour y revenir. Sur un parcours de près de 200 kilomètres, traversant 14 communes, les cyclistes devront donner le meilleur d'eux-mêmes avant de s'affronter sur le circuit urbain au cœur de la ville.

Après le départ fictif dans Quimper, le peloton est passé par Briec, la baie de Kérugan, Plonevez Porzay, Sainte Anne la Palud, et Locronan.

Une course commentée par notre journaliste spécialisé, grande voix du vélo en Bretagne, Jean-Marc Seigner qui est accompagné par le speaker Gwendal Louvel.

DIRECT. Giro 2024 (8e étape): Tadej Pogacar s'impose au sprint à Prati di Tivo

Le classement général après la 8e étape

Comme annoncé, Luke Plapp, Alexey Lutsenko perdent gros puisqu'ils sont sortis du top 10 après un coup de moins bien ce samedi. Filippo Zana et Lorenzo Fortunato sont également hors top 10 après cette 8e étape.

Victoire de Tadej Pogacar à Prati di Tivo !

L'étape s'est jouée dans un sprint au sommet, les favoris n'ont pas attaqué aujourd'hui et au petit jeu du sprint c'est Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) qui s'impose sur cette 8e étape. Le Slovène s'impose devant Daniel Felipe Martinez (Bora-Hansgrohe) et Ben O'Connor (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team).

Au classement général, le podium ne change pas, les grands perdants du jour sont Luke Plapp (Team Jayco-AlUla) et Alexey Lutsenko (Astana Qazaqstan Team), respectivement 5e et 6e avant cette étape, qui ont été distancés du groupe des favoris ce samedi.

1 km - Attaque dans le peloton

Antonio Tiberi (Bahrain-Victorious) attaque mais tout le monde le suit.

2 km - Pas d'attaque pour le moment

Rafal Majka emmène le peloton avec Tadej Pogacar dans sa roue mais le Slovène n'attaque pas pour le moment.

4 km - Echappée terminée

Valentin Paret-Peintre est repris, les favoris vont pouvoir s'expliquer dans cette fin d'étape.

4 km - Plus que 10 secondes de retard pour le peloton

Valentin Paret-Peintre voit le peloton se rapprocher très sérieusement à moins de cinq kilomètres de l'arrivée.

5 km - Bardet lâché

C'est trop dur pour le Français de la DSM-Firmenich, lâché du "peloton", qui paie probablement ses efforts dans l'échappée du jour.

6 km - Paret-Peintre passe en tête du sprint intermédiaire de Pietracamela

Valentin Paret-Peintre passe en tête du sprint intermédiaire de Pietracamela et prend 3 secondes de bonification, il possède 21 secondes d'avance sur le peloton.

7 km - Valentin Paret-Peintre ne lâche pas

Le Français compte 22 secondes d'avance sur le peloton, il continue son effort. Son frère Aurélien a été décroché du groupe Pogacar. Romain Bardet a lui réussi à attraper le train rose au passage, et s'accroche, comme Alex Baudin.

10 km - Paret-Peintre relance à son tour

Le peloton est à 10 secondes de la tête, c'est le moment choisi par Valentin Paret-Peintre pour remettre une attaque. Il est seul devant.

10 km - attaque dans l'échappée

Alessandro Verre (Arkéa-B&B Hotels) sort seul et il est rattrapé par cinq hommes dont Romain Bardet et Valentin Paret-Peintre.

14 km - Alaphilippe n'y va pas

Le Français se laisse décramponner et se fait rattraper par le peloton.

14 km - Début de l'ascension finale

L'échappée entre dans l'ascension finale du Prati di Tivo (14,7 km à 7% de moyenne) avec 36 secondes d'avance sur le peloton.

22 km - Moins d'une minute d'avance pour l'échappée

Le peloton continue de se rapprocher et pourrait reprendre l'échappée avant l'ascension finale, il n'y a plus que 53 secondes d'écart désormais.

26 km - Le peloton continue de se rapprocher

Sous l'impulsion des UAE Emirates, le peloton ne compte plus que 1'03 de retard sur l'échappée.

36 km - le peloton sous la minute 30 de retard

Il reste encore du temps avant l'ascension finale du Prati di Tivo (14,7 km à 7% de moyenne) mais le peloton ne compte plus que 1'25 de retard sur l'échappée.

39 km - Simon Geschke passe en tête au sommet du Croce Abbio

L'Allemand du team Cofidis prend neuf points au sommet du Croce Abbio, col de 3e catégorie, devant Georg Steinhauser.

42 km - Alaphilippe recolle

Julian Alaphilippe et Alessandro De Marchi ont recollé sur la tête, profitant d'une allure en baisse dans l'échappée.

44 km - Alaphilippe lâché

Le Français était dans l'échappée du jour mais il est en train de se faire décramponner, tout comme Alessandro De Marchi (Team Jayco-AlUla).

47km - Le résultat du sprint Intergiro

1. Romain BARDET, 3'' de bonifications 2. Georg STEINHAUSER , 2'' 3. Magnus SHEFFIELD, 1''

50km - On approche du Passo Capannelle

Une montée de 3e catégorie au programme, avant une longue descente vers la dernière difficulté du jour. 1'30" d'avance pour le groupe de tête.

56km - Ça sent mauvais pour les hommes de devant

Sauf relance, il ne devrait pas y avoir de belle histoire pour les échappés du jour. Le peloton est désormais à 1'15", et a donc repris plus d'une minute en quinze bornes.

63km - L'écart diminue

Plus que 2' d'avance pour les échappés. Les UAE Emirates ont décidé de contrôler cette étape...

70km - En direction du Passo Capannelle

Avant la montée finale, les coureurs devront grimper aussi le Passo Capannelle (8,1km à 4,7%). Les pourcentages ne seront pas très élevés mais ça pourrait permettre de recasser l'échappée. Le sommet sera situé à 30km de l'arrivée.

75km - 2'30" d'écart

Voilà de quoi redonner un peu d'espoir à l'échappée. Il faudrait au moins cet écart au pied de la montée finale pour espérer jouer la victoire face à Tadej Pogacar et les autres.

79 km - L'échappée profite de la descente

Le peloton ne prend aucun risque dans la descente, là où l'échappée se donne un peu plus. 2 minutes d'écart.

85km - Mauvaise entente à l'avant

L'échappée n'arrive pas à s'entendre. Elle est sous pression avec le peloton à moins de deux minutes.

90km - UAE Emirates maintient l'écart

L'échappée n'arrive pas à passer le cap des deux minutes, ça ne sent pas forcément très bon pour la victoire d'étape ...

96km - Jonction à 14

La composition du groupe de tête : Jhonatan Narvaez, Magnus Sheffield (Ineos Grenadiers), Alessandro Verre (Arkéa-B&B Hôtels), Henok Mulubrhan (Astana), Simon Geschke (Cofidis), Georg Steinhauser (EF Education - Easy Post), Nairo Quintana, Pelayo Sanchez (Movistar), Romain Bardet (dsm-Firmenich Post NL), Julian Alaphilippe (Soudal-QuickStep), Alessandro De Marchi (Jayco-AlUla), Michael Storer (Tudor), Martin Marcellusi (VF Group - Bardiani).

107km - Alaphilippe rejoint la tête de course

Ils sont désormais 8 à l'avant avec les retours de Julian Alaphilippe, Alessandro Verre, Jhonatan Narvaez et Magnus Sheffield.

108km - L'écart se creuse avec le peloton

Le groupe Romain Bardet a plus de deux minutes d'avance. Reste à savoir si d'autres équipes ne vont pas venir aider les UAE Emirates puisque le Français pourrait être une menace en vue du podium.

114 km - Geschke passe en tête au sommet

On laisse Simon Geschke prendre les points au premier sommet. Alessandro Verre et Magnus Sheffield sont sortis du contre, tout comme Julian Alaphilippe et Jhonatan Narvaez un peu plus loin.

115km - Valentin Paret-Peintre rejoint le trio

Il y a donc deux Français et deux Allemands à l'avant. Julian Alaphilippe se situe dans un contre à 45 secondes avec notamment Nairo Quintana, Jhonatan Narvaez et Michael Storer. Le peloton pointe à 1'30".

118 km - Bardet dans un trio de tête

Le Français est accompagné par les Allemands Georg Steinhauser et Simon Geschke. Le peloton a une minute de retard. On n'a pas l'air de vouloir laisser filer Bardet.

127km - Bardet à l'attaque

Le Français se trouve avec un coéquipier dans cette Forca Capistrello, essayant de distancer le peloton !

127km - Dans la première difficulté répertoriée

On assiste encore à de nombreuses attaques avec un Julian Alaphilippe très entreprenant.

146 km - UAE Emirates au train

L'équipe du maillot rose roule à son train et les attaquants ne parviennent pas à créer d'écart. 16e du classement général, Georg Steinhauser essaie d'y aller avec le Français Ewen Costiou.

148 km - Alaphilippe à l'attaque

Absent du groupe de tête, Julian Alaphilippe place une attaque pour revenir avec son coéquipier Mauri Vansevenant.

149 km - De nombreux coureurs à l'avant

On roule très vite dans la montée, beaucoup de coureurs tentent d'intégrer l'échappée.

151 km- Une chute dès le départ

Mikkel Honoré, encore présent malgré une côte cassée, chute d'entrée. Quatre coureurs prennent eux la fugue dont Jan Tratnik (Visma-Lease a Bike).

Départ donné

Le directeur de course lâche les coureurs pour cette 8e étape. Les premiers kiloètres seront escarpés. Les coéquipiers de Tadej Pogacar sont tous à l'avant.

Abandon de Christophe Laporte

La Visma-Lease a Bike annonce l'abandon de Christophe Laporte, qui ne prendra pas le départ de cette 8e étape du Tour d'Italie. Le Français avait chuté mercredi lors de la 5e étape, partant seul à la faute en marge d'un sprint intermédiaire, sans doute en raison d'un trou dans la chaussée. Laporte n'est pas "complètement rétabli" et va se reposer en vue des prochaines échéances dont le Tour de France.

Bonjour à tous

Bienvenue sur RMC Sport pour suivre en direct commenté la huitième étape du Tour d'Italie (152 kilomètres), entre Spoleto et Prati di Tivo. Il s'agit de la deuxième arrivée au sommet après celle du Sanctuaire d'Oropa dimanche dernier, où Tadej Pogacar avait pris le maillot rose en plus de la victoire d'étape.

Le Slovène a repoussé encore un peu plus loin ses rivaux ce vendredi lors du contre la montre, remportant sa deuxième étape sur cette édition. La journée est à revivre ici .

Suite de la victoire de Loreen lors de l'édition 2023, avec la chanson "Tattoo", la Suède accueille la 68e édition du Concours Eurovision de la chanson. C'est la septième fois que le pays reçoit ce rendez-vous annuel, après les éditions de 1975, 1985, 1992, 2000, 2013 et 2016. La ville de Malmö, située à l'extrême sud du pays, a été choisie pour héberger l'événement. Tandis que les jumeaux Marcus & Martinus défendent les couleurs du pays avec leur titre "Unforgettable", c'est le Français Slimane qui a été désigné pour représenter la France avec "Mon amour", une chanson écrite comme une "lettre d'amour aux coeurs européens".
