About the Exhibit

Over the past 100 years, Disney has brought its iconic stories and characters to life in new and innovative ways, becoming part of the global culture and creating generations of memories for billions.
“Disney100: The Exhibition” invites guests to step into their favorite stories using innovation and immersive technology throughout ten galleries in the 15,000-square-foot exhibit.
What to Expect
“Disney100: The Exhibition” features ten large, themed galleries with numerous cutting-edge interactive installations, and details were announced during D23 Expo 2022 .
Disney has curated special behind-the-scenes glimpses into the creation of the most popular characters, films, shows, and attraction, from Disneyland to Walt Disney World® Resort and beyond.
The themed galleries, with moving stories, unique interactive installations, and exciting background information, will take visitors on a journey through 100 years of The Walt Disney Company, celebrating the classics from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” to “ Strange World ,” as well as the latest members of the Disney family – Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and National Geographic.
The Walt Disney Archives will also open its vault of treasures, to showcase hundreds of extraordinary objects, including many of Disney’s “Crown Jewels,” featuring more than 250 rarely seen original artworks and artifacts, costumes and props, and other memorabilia.
“As we prepare to kick off Disney 100 Years of Wonder, we are incredibly excited to bring this fantastic exhibition to life,” said Becky Cline, director, Walt Disney Archives. “We can’t wait for guests to experience their favorite Disney stories, characters, and attractions in new and immersive ways as we celebrate all the wonderful worlds of Disney.”

Disney 100: The Exhibition: Your Guide to this Epic Collection
by Stephanie Shuster | Jan 15, 2024 | WDW Blog
In celebration of 100 years of the Walt Disney Company, fans can visit Disney100: The Exhibition to check out memorabilia, movie props, artifacts, artwork, and more that have been an integral part of the last century for the Walt Disney Company.
Disney100: The Exhibition takes guests through 100 years of Disney history, from Walt’s family and the early days of animation to theme park development and international pop culture phenomena. Guests will see a mix of artifacts, artwork (mostly reproductions), movie props, theme park ephemera, audio installations, video projections, and interactive digital storyboards. Most importantly, this is an exhibition brought to you by Walt Disney Archives, the ultimate authority on Disney history. If you’re a serious fan, this is the one exhibit you won’t want to miss.
What Happens at Disney100: The Exhibition?
I’ll admit I wasn’t sure what to expect before attending Disney 100: The Exhibition myself. Was it immersive like teamLab Borderless in Tokyo? Was it more of a show, like Disney Animation Immersive Experience ? Was it a sensory experience like The Strong National Museum of Play ? Or was it a photo-centric selfie spot like Museum of Ice Cream ? No, this is much more akin to a touring exhibition like David Bowie is from the Victoria & Albert Museum.
There is a lot about the exhibition that die-hard fans will love, and it’s Disney so there’s also a balance of fun for the family to explore. But make no mistake; this is an educational experience, not a play-based “Instagram museum.” Here’s what you need to know:
Ten galleries take you through the company’s history in a way centered more on storytelling than timeline. You won’t start in 1923 and wind up in 2023, but instead, each gallery includes things that span company history that share a narrative thread. That means that multigenerational families can visit together and each find something to connect with in every different space. Where It All Began focuses on the early company beginnings, family history, and setting out a company timeline. Where Do the Stories Come From? turns attention to the inspirations behind beloved films like fairytales, short stories, and comic books. The Illusion of Life looks at how animators use color, movement, texture, and other tools to make characters pop off the screen.
In The Spirit of Adventure and Discovery, we see nods to everything from The Nautilus and The Jungle Cruise to armor worn by Storm Troopers and Marvel superheroes. The Magic of Sound and Music is one of the most intriguing galleries, allowing guests to learn about everything from foley artists and re-recording movie music in a myriad of languages. The World Around Us shows us how far Imagineers and animators will go to research their subjects in the natural world.
In Innoventions, there are behind-the-scenes technologies to behold including Audio-Animatronic parts and information on software development that made Pixar movies possible. Your Disney World takes us deep into the world of the theme parks, and The Wonder of Disney shows how we’ve invited Disney into our homes and daily lives with some serious nostalgia like valentines cards, park ticket books, 90’s magazines, and television props.
Gift Shop. Photo by Stephanie Shuster
The final gallery, We Are Just Getting Started , is by far the smallest, offering a glimpse of upcoming films like Peter Pan and Wendy. Fittingly, a 6-minute credits reel (you don’t have to watch it, but it’s impressive to see how many people were involved in creating the exhibit) rolls just like a film, and the exit is through the gift shop, just like a theme park.
Where Can I Get Tickets to Disney100: The Exhibition?
You can find out all the details about the experience here , but if you want to know where and when it’s on, just click each city name below to get ticket info for that location:
- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at The Franklin Institute : February 18 – August 27, 2023
- Munich, Germany at Kleine Olympiahalle : April 18 – August 3, 2023
- London, England at London Excel: October 13th, 2023 – Early 2024, returning March 6 to April 30, 2024
- Chicago, Illinois at Exhibition Hub Art Center : November 18, 2023 – Early 2024
- Kansas City, Missouri at Union Station : May 24, 2024
Each venue has its own type of tickets and packages, so costs and inclusions may vary (including things like VIP experiences, evening only tickets or tickets that include admission to other parts of the venue. It’s also worth noting that while the North American and European exhibits are almost the same, there are a few unique items on display on each tour.
Is Disney100: The Exhibition Good for Kids?
Overall, yes, depending on their ages. Here are a few things you should know.
Will kids get scared? Each kid is different, and there’s not really anything “scary” about the exhibition. If there’s a film or character represented your little one doesn’t like, just move along swiftly until it’s out of sight. But there are some darker spaces, and I did hear one child crying during the intro video because they were scared of the dark. There’s no place where you are “stuck,” so you can just keep swimming to a brighter spot where a new Mickey, mermaid, or Moana distraction awaits.
Will kids get bored? Maybe, depending on their ages. Babes in strollers will be fine because you’re wheeling them around a relatively calm, quiet atmosphere. Small kids may get bored and want to rush through as they bounce between things that interest them (if you want to spend some in-depth time with the Disney history of it all, this might be an occasion to bring another adult along so they can explore the rest of the kid-friendly Franklin Institute while you geek out). Older kids seemed fascinated by their parents, grandparents, and teachers sharing things from their own childhoods.
Will kids have to sit still and be quiet? No, kids can interact with many pieces of the exhibition, and chatter is fine. But it is a museum, not a playground, so being mindful of other guests trying to learn and explore will be important. If your child thrives with a more energetic experience, Disney Animation Immersive Experience or Disney On Ice may be a better fit!
Will my sensitive kid be okay? Each child is different, but nothing here is overly loud, bright, or dark. However, it’s a lengthy walk, so quick “escapes” for bathroom breaks, snacks or quiet time will be difficult.
Is Disney100: The Exhibition Good for Adults?
Yes, this exhibition was made with major Disney fans (like you and me!) in mind. Adults will get the most out of this experience because it does involve a fair amount of reading, listening to film clips, and generally understanding the impact of art and technology in the Disney parks and beyond. Huge Disney history fans will certainly find something new, and casual fans or folks who don’t know much about Disney but are interested in learning will find lots to enjoy. If you’re attending without kids, plan to spend several hours taking it all in.
Can I See Disney100: The Exhibition at Disney World or Disneyland?
No, this one is only available on tour in select cities across North America and Europe, but you can find a smaller display called The Disney Gallery Present: Disney 100 Years of Wonder at Disneyland for a limited time. Or, if you like the idea of learning about animation in an incredible show format, check out Cirque du Soleil Drawn to Life at Disney Springs!

"Disney adults" of Philadelphia are in for a treat -- an exhibition celebrating 100 years of the Walt Disney Company will kick off its world tour at The Franklin Institute.
On Saturday, at D23 Expo: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, CA, new details were announced for Disney 100: The Exhibition , an immersive museum experience complete with behind-the-scenes glimpses and interactive installations. The first stop on the tour opens at The Franklin Institute on Feb. 18, 2023.

Throughout the 15,000-square-foot, 10-gallery exhibition, visitors will be enchanted by the beloved stories that have captured their hearts since 1923, when Walt Disney revolutionized the entertainment industry with his company.
"We can't wait for guests to experience their favorite Disney stories, characters and attractions in new and immersive ways as we celebrate all the wonderful worlds of Disney," Becky Cline, director of Walt Disney Archives, said in a release.
Each of the 10 galleries will have a different theme, allowing guests to travel through 100 years of magic. The exhibition will cover the classics, like "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," all the way up to its latest properties like Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel and National Geographic.
Walt Disney Archives collaborated with Semmel Exhibitions on the project. Semmel Exhibitions also produced the Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes exhibit that visited The Franklin Institute in 2019.
"The Franklin Institute is thrilled to host Disney100: The Exhibition, the first major event to mark the global celebration of Disney's 100 years, allowing fans throughout the Philadelphia region and beyond the very first opportunity to see these crown jewels come to life in beautifully crafter galleries reflecting the creative empire synonymous with imaginative storytelling, innovation, discovery and wonder," Larry Dubinski, president and CEO of The Franklin Institute, said in a release.

After its Franklin Institute run, the exhibition will continue its North American tour in Chicago and Kansas City. The international leg of the tour will commence on April 18, 2023, in Munich, Germany. Along with the exhibition's world tour, the company is commemorating its centennial anniversary with the "Disney 100 Years of Wonder" celebrations, which include a special intro playing before each new movie released throughout the year.
Another magical exhibit is currently finishing up its own run in Philadelphia. Sunday, Sept. 18 is the final day for the popular Harry Potter: The Exhibition collection, which made its world premiere at The Franklin Institute back in February.

Landon McReynolds , Producer
ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Walt Disney Company is preparing to celebrate 100 years in 2023.
To help mark the occasion, the company is launching a new tour that will immerse guests in the beloved stories that have entertained them since 1923, when Walt Disney set his company on a path that would revolutionize the entertainment industry.

The tour, being called “Disney100: The Exhibition,” will open first on Feb. 18 at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, with Chicago and Kansas City coming next.
The exhibition will feature 10 galleries that will be brought to life through innovative and immersive technology.
“The Walt Disney Archives opens its vault of treasures, showcasing hundreds of extraordinary objects, including many of Disney’s ‘Crown Jewels’ – more than 250 rarely seen original artworks and artifacts, costumes and props, and other memorabilia,” D23 leaders said in a news release. “Disney has curated special behind-the-scenes glimpses into the creation of the most popular characters, films, shows, and attractions – from Disneyland to Walt Disney World Resort and beyond.”
Disney said the international unit of the exhibit will open on April 18 in Munich, Germany, with more cities to be announced in the coming months.

New Details About Disney 100 Years of Wonder Revealed to Fans During D23 Expo
New and exciting details about Disney 100 Years of Wonder were revealed this past weekend to fans during D23 Expo 2022 presented by Visa ® . Disney100 will be the largest cross-company global celebration in the 100-year history of The Walt Disney Company, and it will officially kick-off during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest on ABC.
“Ten decades of creativity, innovation, and determination created The Walt Disney Company you know today—the most enduring and beloved name in entertainment,” said Disney CEO Bob Chapek during the opening ceremonies of D23 Expo. “It’s an awesome responsibility to lead Disney as we begin our second century of telling stories and creating magic that will endure for another 100 years.”
Guests at the Ultimate Disney Fan Event were the first to see Mickey Mouse in his shimmering new “platinum” outfit, designed to reflect the optimism and creativity of Disney as the company celebrates 100 years and looks toward the next century. Throughout the weekend, fans heard about incredible new entertainment, experiences, and events coming from every corner of The Walt Disney Company for the celebration. From Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 2023 release Wish and Disney100: The Exhibition, which will tour domestically and internationally beginning next year, to new spectaculars opening at Disneyland Resort, amazing collectible merchandise, and more, here’s a taste of what’s to come during Disney100:
The Walt Disney Studios
On Friday inside the 7,000-seat Hall D23, Jennifer Lee, chief creative officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios announced Wish , an epic original animated musical inspired by the studios’ legacy of films and features all-new songs by Grammy ® -nominated artist Julia Michaels. The magical story, which looks ahead to the next 100 years for the studio and explores how the wishing star that so many Disney characters wished upon came to be, is set in Rosas, a fantasy kingdom where wishes literally can come true. Inspired by watercolor illustrations of fairytales that fascinated Walt Disney, the look of the film blends a timeless watercolor style with contemporary 3D CG animation. Attendees were introduced to 17-year-old Asha—a smart and driven optimist with a sharp wit whose impassioned plea to the stars calls down an actual star from the sky. Impossibly curious and a little ball of boundless energy, Star is a giant beacon for chaos. Filmmakers Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn and actor Alan Tudyk (the voice of Valentino the goat) joined Lee on stage before introducing the voice of Asha, recent Oscar ® winner Ariana DeBose, who brought down the house singing “More for Us,” an all-new original song from the film, which hits theaters in 2023.
Plus, the Walt Disney Studios presentation of upcoming theatrical and streaming titles on Friday previewed a trio of new films from Disney Live Action that continue Disney’s 100-year celebration. These new films include The Little Mermaid , a live-action reimagining of the studio’s Oscar-winning animated musical classic, which opens exclusively in theaters nationwide May 26, 2023; Haunted Mansion , a ghostly adventure inspired by the classic theme park attraction, which hits theaters in 2023; and Peter Pan & Wendy , a reimagining of the 1953 animated classic, which premieres on Disney+ in 2023.
Fans in Hall D23 were among the first to see a brand-new Walt Disney Studios logo introduction in honor of Disney 100 Years of Wonder. The new Disney castle introduction features Tinker Bell flying over a riverside village and up a waterfall that leads to the iconic Disney castle, now platinum. Created by Disney Studios Content and Industrial Light & Magic and featuring an all-new arrangement of “When You Wish Upon a Star” by award-winning composer Christophe Beck ( Frozen , WandaVision ), the new introduction will first appear in theaters with Disney’s Strange World this Thanksgiving and will then play in front of all Disney theatrical and streaming releases throughout 2023.
Disney100: The Exhibition
At D23 Expo, it was announced that Disney100: The Exhibition will open on February 18, 2023, at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with Chicago, Illinois, and Kansas City, Missouri, set as the next two stops on the North American tour. The international unit of the exhibit will open on April 18 in Munich, Germany, with more cities to be announced in the coming months. The stunning key artwork for the exhibit was also revealed, which invites guests to step into their favorite stories using innovative and immersive technology throughout ten galleries in the 15,000-square-foot exhibit. The Walt Disney Archives is opening its vault of treasures, showcasing more than 250 of its “Crown Jewels,” rarely seen original artworks and artifacts, costumes and props, and other memorabilia. Disney has curated special behind-the-scenes glimpses into the creation of the company’s most popular characters, films, shows, and attractions—from Disneyland to Walt Disney World and beyond. The ten magnificent and imaginatively themed galleries, all featuring moving stories, unique interactive installations, and exciting background information, will take visitors on a journey through 100 years of The Walt Disney Company, celebrating the classics from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to Strange World , as well as the latest members of the Disney family—Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and National Geographic.
Walt Disney Parks & Resorts
Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro provided guests at D23 Expo a first look at how Disney Parks around the world will mark Disney100. New décor, specialty food and beverages, character experiences and more will come to parks around the world, with the heart of the celebration rooted at Disneyland Resort:
- Two new nighttime spectaculars— World of Color – One and the new fireworks show Wondrous Journeys —will kick off in late January at Disneyland Resort. World of Color – One at Disney California Adventure will span the broad storytelling legacy of Disney’s first 100 years and tell a new story through Disney classics and new favorites. Wondrous Journeys at Disneyland Park will ignite the wonder in everyone and feature nods to all 60 Walt Disney Animation Studios films to date, taking viewers on a journey filled with artistry, music, storytelling, and heart. Special entertainment moments will also pop up across the resort, including the long-awaited return of the Magic Happens parade this spring.
- A brand-new nighttime spectacular will come to the World Showcase Lagoon at EPCOT in late 2023 as part of the Disney100 celebration.
- Hong Kong Disneyland will also unveil a new statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse near Cinderella’s Golden Carousel as part of Disney 100 Years of Wonder.
Disney Consumer Products, Games and Publishing
As The Walt Disney Company celebrates its 100th anniversary, Disney Consumer Products, Games and Publishing has several exciting new merchandise collections and collaborations to commemorate Disney 100 Years of Wonder. The first of these collections include:
- Disney100 Platinum Collection – D23 Expo attendees got a special preview of Disney’s Platinum Collection, including the debut of the first Disney100 ear hat and headband. Platinum is a rare, precious metal known to withstand the test of time, just like beloved Disney characters. This Platinum Collection of Disney100 products captures the “classically Disney” look while paving the way forward into a new century. Additional details about this collection debuting on shopDisney—including the introduction of new products—will be revealed later this year.
- Disney100 Decades Collection – As part of the Disney100 Celebration, Disney is introducing the Disney Decades collection, a merchandise line that celebrates classic stories and eras from the company’s history. Debuting early next year on shopDisney with products centered around the 1920s and Steamboat Willie, this ongoing series will celebrate a different decade and the beloved stories from them including Snow White from the 1930s, Pinocchio from the 1940s, and more.
- Disney100 Books from Disney Publishing: Fans looking to celebrate 100 years of Disney through its beloved tradition of storytelling can look forward to brand-new titles in 2023, including Walt Disney: An American Original, Commemorative Edition ; The Official Walt Disney Quote Book; The Story of Disney: 100 Years of Wonder , by John Baxter, Bruce C. Steele and the Staff of the Walt Disney Archives; and People Behind the Disney Parks: Stories of Those Honored with a Window on Main Street, U.S.A. by Chuck Snyder with original art by Josey Tsao.
A Company-Wide Celebration
In addition to the above, more incredible experiences, content, and opportunities await guests including:
- Disney100.com : D23 Expo marked the debut of Disney100.com, a digital experience for all the magic in store for guests during the celebration. Right now, fans can get a sneak peek of the site, which will officially launch January 1, 2023.
- ABC News Studios will present a once-in-a-lifetime documentary event to commemorate the 100th anniversary of one of the world’s most beloved companies. Disney: 100 Years of Wonder will take viewers on a journey that started in 1923 and whose future is not yet written. Deciding that a linear chronological retelling beginning in 1923 was inadequate to truly capture the essence of the magic of The Walt Disney Company, the project will tell the story from the lens of the core values and philosophies of the company, which have acted as a guided path through our ever-changing world.
- Disney Music Group and Deutsche Grammophon will release Lang Lang: The Disney Book on Septembers 16, 2022 celebrating 100 years of Disney with iconic melodies reimagined for the piano.
- In 2023, Disney Music Group will release a vinyl compilation highlighting the Company’s musical moments across film, television and the Parks.
- And much, much more to be announced in the coming weeks and months, including —content that will span the company’s portfolio of must-watch linear television channels, including ABC, Disney Channel, ESPN, Freeform, FX, and National Geographic, as well as the ABC owned-stations—and streaming platforms—Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+

A Closer Look at the Magic Behind the Celebrating Disney100 Tour at the Disneyland Resort
by Holly Ramey · April 20, 2023
Just in time for the Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary, a new tour, Celebrating Disney100 at the Disneyland Resort, debuted that takes Guests on a journey down memory lane and gives a behind-the-scenes look at what it was like for Walt and Roy to bring the Company to life 100 years ago and open Disneyland Park back in 1955.
The Celebrating Disney100 Tour at the Disneyland Resort debuted last month with rave reviews. It features stops at iconic locations around the Resort while telling the story of the past 100 years of magic.

This tour is extra unique in that it was designed with input from Cast Members. Disney Parks Blog recently caught up with some of the Cast Members to see what it’s like to bring this extra magic to Guests.
“We wanted this tour to be inspirational for our guests and cast and remind them to never give up, everyone has a story to tell and you need to believe that your story is worth telling,” said Guided Tour Hostess Paula Hasler. Paula, along with cast members Sam Denny, Emma Sickles and J’Amy Pacheco, designed the tour with input from additional cast members.
“Getting to write a tour was a dream come true,” said J’Amy. “Working with three people who shared my passion for Disney and love of storytelling was an exciting experience.”
Emma said that having the opportunity to work on this tour was nothing short of destiny.
“I remember coming to Disneyland and seeing this beautiful woman dressed in a plaid skirt, leading guests around,” said Emma. “I turned to my mom and said ‘I don’t know what she’s doing, but I want to do that.’ So, I practiced in my garage and little did I know that I would get to write a new tour for the Disneyland Resort.”
“J’Amy created a beautiful beginning that drops guests right into the story of Walt sitting underneath his dreaming tree in Marceline, Missouri,” said Sam. “It made us cry when we all read it aloud for the first time.”
“We had to start with that story,” said J’Amy. “You cannot talk about the company’s 100-year history without talking about the roots, where it all started.”
The Celebrating Disney100 Tour at the Disneyland Resort kicks off at Disney California Adventure Park. It is there that Guests will learn how Walt started The Walt Disney Company after relocating to California in the 1920s with just a suitcase in a dream.
Guests will also visit Animation Academy in Hollywood Land to hang out with an animation artist and even learn how to sketch a special character from the pro!
After this special interaction, Guests will head over to Disneyland Park to learn all about the park’s opening day and how technology has moved the Park forward to what we know today.
“In a personal letter to [Walt’s wife] Lillian after Walt’s passing, President [Lyndon B.] Johnson wrote ‘Beauty, joy and truth are immortal. The magic of Walt Disney was larger than life and the treasures he left will endure to entertain and enlighten worlds to come,’” said Sam.
The two-hour Celebrating Disney100 Tour at the Disneyland Resort ends with a complimentary photo in front of the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle and then a VIP viewing of the daily “Magic Happens” Parade!

Ashley McBryde Puts A Country Spin On The Disney Classic “Part Of Your World,” And I’m Obsessed
The Little Mermaid , but make it country.
I’m SO here for this…
During a concert on her current The Devil I Know tour in Orlando, Florida a few weeks ago, Ashley McBryde covered a Disney classic in “Part of Your World,” which is of course from the iconic 1989 animated film The Little Mermaid .
The song was written by lyricist Howard Ashman and composer Alan Menken as part of the movie’s soundtrack, and performed by Jodi Benson in her role as Ariel, the mermaid princess.
And I know I’m probably very partial because Ariel is my favorite princess and I’ve always loved the soundtrack, but this is just too good.
Ashley doesn’t miss:
“When in Orlando, you MUST sing a Disney song… specifically, you must sing something from ‘The Little Mermaid.’ Thanks Lynsey for capturing this video!”
I need her to put a country spin on every Disney song now…

From May 5th to 24th, Annual Passholders get 20% off select styles at DisneyStore.com. Stay tuned for more in-park discounts. Last year, Passholders saved even more, with 30% off select merchandise locations and 20% off at participating Outdoor Kitchens with cashless payment.
In May, snap pics with a Mickey Mouse Bar prop, and from June 1st to 26th, use the Mickey Donut prop. These coincide with the launch of a new Disney Eats clothing collection, which is open to everyone.
Passholders, get ready for an exclusive PhotoPass Magic Shot! Head to World Celebration Gardens in EPCOT during park hours for a unique photo with Stitch. Don’t forget your valid pass, MagicBand, and ID.
The Passholder Lounge moves to Morocco this year! Details on offerings are coming, promising a relaxing space for Passholder perks.
With a focus on EPCOT and exciting perks like discounts, photo ops, and the exclusive Magic Shot, V.I.Passholder Days promises an unforgettable celebration.
At Disneyland Paris, the Pop Up Surprise event allows Annual Pass guests to reserve a day to meet “rare” characters in a private and exclusive meet and greet area. According to Every Character, “The event takes place in the old Annual Pass office opposite the Royal Castle Stage with pre-booking required via the Disneyland Pass website exclusively for Disneyland Pass and legacy Annual Pass holders.”
When the event ran in January, guests were able to meet either Queen Anna or Queen Elsa in their outfits from Frozen 2, and during the second set, they met one of The Aristocats: Marie, Berlioz, or Toulouse. Of course, that character list can change.
As Annual Passholders had to reserve their dates for the Pop Up Surprise. Right now, the event is returning from April 26th – May 19th, 2024 however, we have already seen Disney cut out an entire date after guests signed up.
According to Disneyland Paris reporter DLP Report, “Guests who booked a Disneyland Pass “Pop Up Surprise” meet and greet on May 1 have been advised that the entire day of the offering has been canceled. Additional slots have been added as a replacement on May 20 and 21.” In the photo, we can see the official notice from Disney.

Below is a translated version of the notice:
Dear Disneyland Pass Member, We would like to inform you that for reasons beyond our control, Pop-Up Surprises will not be able to take place on Wednesday May 1, 2024. The reservation for your visit to Pop-Up Surprises this Wednesday May 1 has therefore been automatically canceled. To allow you to participate in this event, two additional opening days have been added and reserved for you on Monday May 20 and Tuesday May 21, 2024. We invite you to register now for one of these new slots. https://pass-annuel.disneylandparis.com We thank you for your understanding and look forward to welcoming you to the Pop-Ups Surprises. Disney did not specify why the event was canceled, but did say it was for “reasons beyond our control.” In exchange for the last-minute cancellation, Disney did, however, make extra reservations for all impacted guests on May 20th and 21.
Disneyland Paris has recently restructured their Annual Pass program and no longer offers the Discovery, Magic Flex, Magic Plus, or Infinity tiers.
They have introduced a new program called Disneyland Pass with three tiers: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Here’s a breakdown of each:
- Bronze Pass (€289): This is the most basic pass. It offers admission to Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park on specific dates throughout the year with blackout dates. It does not include any additional perks like parking, discounts, or access to Extra Magic Time.
- Silver Pass (€499): This pass grants access to both parks on more days than the Bronze pass, with blackout dates still applicable. It also includes free parking for the duration of your visit and a 10% discount on merchandise and restaurants within the parks.
- Gold Pass (€699): This top-tier pass offers unlimited access to both parks throughout the year with no blackout dates. Additionally, Gold Passholders receive a 15% discount on merchandise and restaurants, free PhotoPass+ for capturing memories throughout the parks, and access to Extra Magic Time, which allows entry to select attractions before or after regular park hours.
Disneyland Paris has been experiencing some issues lately, especially when it comes to capacity in the parks. During Easter weekend and leading up to that weekend, the theme park sent out a notice to all guests asking those with a park hopper to start in Disneyland Park and avoid Walt Disney Studios Park (soon to be renamed Disney Adventure Park )—even though they had a paid ticket and reservation.
If crowding is an issue at the park now, with the ongoing World of Frozen construction and Tangled (2010) ride construction, it will certainly only get worse in the next few days with Studio 1, the main entrance to the park, shutting down.
Disney has actually informed future guests traveling within the next year to plan to eat outside the park, as Studio 1 closing means a lot of quick service options are closing, and there are not many other quick service locations in the park for guests looking to eat on a budget.

Back-To-Back Korn Ferry Tour Winner Stands On The Edge Of PGA Tour Dream (And A Place In The World's Top-100)
E very week it seems there’s a new ‘hottest golfer in the world right now’ – and there’s a case to be made that no one is in finer form than Sweden’s Tim Widing.
Forget Masters champion Scottie Scheffler and record-breaking Nelly Korda , both of whom have left the rest of the field trailing in their wake in recent months.
Widing (pronounced VEE-ding) might not be competing at the very highest level of the game at the moment, but a lot of doors might be about to open for the 26-year-old after his blistering run on the Korn Ferry Tour.
The Swede has won in back-to-back weeks, a period in which his worst round is a 68 – that’s eight rounds that add up to an incredible 51 under par, and he's up to number 118 in the Official World Golf Ranking.
With victories at the LECOM Suncoast Classic and Veritex Bank Championship, Widing became the 13th player (14th occurrence) in Korn Ferry Tour history to win back-to-back events.
He also became the 12th player in Tour history to win twice in the first nine events of a Korn Ferry Tour season, and with birdies at three of the final four holes on Sunday he broke the Tour’s record for the lowest 72-hole score relative to par (31 under par).
“Monday night I was still just trying to soak in what I just did last week,” Widing said. “Of course I want to run it back and win again, but I was just still over the moon from my win last week.
“I told the guys yesterday I was just playing better, relaxed, and having a lot of fun out there on the course, and I think that helped a lot with the nerves, especially today.”
Over the last eight rounds, which has included a 62 and a pair of 63s, Widing has averaged a birdie every 2.5 holes.
It puts him on the verge of promotion to the PGA Tour.
“My mindset is still… this is our ninth event of the year, so there’s still many more to go,” he said.
“(The) PGA Tour has always been a dream since I started playing golf. We’re not there yet, so I’m still trying to play good this year and still work on the things me and my team have been doing over the last couple months.
“It’s easy to kind of look ahead, but I’m just trying to be here right now and enjoy this moment, see wherever it takes me.”
He will head to head to Kansas City for the AdventHealth Championship in three weeks, where he will take his first attempt at becoming the 12th player in Tour history to gain promotion via the Three-Victory Promotion.
Elsewhere, 15-year-old Miles Russell was unable to continue his dream run at the Veritex Bank Championship.
Despite the record-breaking teenager extending his streak of rounds under par to six, he was unable to make his second consecutive cut on the Korn Ferry Tour.
