THE CELEBRATION TOUR UPDATED ITINERARY

Tuesday, August 15th, 2023. Excitement has been mounting with Madonna’s post that the North America rescheduled dates would be announced shortly. Today, Live Nation is pleased to confirm that most of the North America dates of Madonna’s Celebration Tour have been rescheduled and will take place immediately following the originally announced UK and Europe dates. Updated itinerary below. Tickets for the previously scheduled shows will be honored on the new dates. This includes all dates except Los Angeles and one date in New York due to a venue change, detailed below.  Getting all shows rescheduled was the number one priority. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts a few shows noted below will be canceled. Madonna regrets the inconvenience to fans and hopes to make it up to those markets in the future. The Celebration Tour will officially kick off with four sold out shows in London this October, followed by shows across Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands throughout the remainder of 2023.  The North American leg will begin on December 13th in Brooklyn at Barclays Center. In New York, fans holding tickets to the previously scheduled Madison Square Garden concert on August 27th, 2023, will have an exclusive opportunity to purchase tickets to the newly added Barclays Center performance on Saturday, December 16th, 2023. Tickets for the original show at MSG will be automatically refunded to the original purchaser by Monday, August 28th. Ticketmaster will then provide all affected fans with a dedicated link and a unique code based on the quality of their previous seat locations to purchase tickets to the new date at Barclays Centre.  Advance sales start Tuesday, August 29th and run through Thursday, August 31st. If tickets remain, they will go on sale to the public starting Friday, September 1st at 10am ET. In Los Angeles, fans holding tickets to the shows previously scheduled at Crypto.com Arena (9/27/23, 9/28/23, 9/30/23 & 10/01/23) and Kia Forum (1/7/24 & 1/8/24) will also have an opportunity to purchase tickets to the new Kia Forum dates prior to the public. Tickets for the original shows in Los Angeles will be automatically refunded to the original purchaser by August 28th. Ticketmaster will provide all affected fans with a dedicated link and a unique code based on the quality of their previous seat locations to purchase tickets for their specific rescheduled event. Advance tickets for all previous Los Angeles ticket holders will begin Tuesday, August 29th and run through Thursday, August 31st. Fans unable to purchase tickets to the corresponding shows will have a second presale opportunity starting Friday, September 1st through Friday, September 8th to purchase tickets to any of the five Kia Forum performances. Remaining tickets will open for public sale Tuesday, September 12th (10am PT) at Ticketmaster.com As mentioned, due scheduling conflicts, the following shows are unfortunately canceled: July 27 in Tulsa, December 22 in Nashville, January 15 in San Francisco, January 18 in Las Vegas, and January 20 in Phoenix.  Refunds for these dates will be issued at the original point of purchase.  UK AND EUROPE SHOW DATE / CITY & COUNTRY / VENUE 10/14/2023 / London, UK / The O2 10/15/2023 / London, UK / The O2 10/17/2023 / London, UK / The O2 10/18/2023 / London, UK / The O2 10/21/2023 / Antwerp, BE / Sportpaleis 10/22/2023 / Antwerp, BE / Sportpaleis 10/25/2023 / Copenhagen, DK / Royal Arena 10/26/2023 / Copenhagen, DK / Royal Arena 10/28/2023 / Stockholm, SE / Tele2 Arena 11/1/2023 / Barcelona, ES / Palau Sant Jordi 11/2/2023 / Barcelona, ES / Palau Sant Jordi 11/6/2023 / Lisbon, PT / Altice Arena 11/7/2023 / Lisbon, PT / Altice Arena 11/12/2023 / Paris, FR / Accor Arena 11/13/2023 / Paris, FR / Accor Arena 11/15/2023 / Cologne, DE / Lanxess Arena 11/16/2023 / Cologne, DE / Lanxess Arena 11/19/2023 / Paris, FR / Accor Arena 11/20/2023 / Paris, FR / Accor Arena 11/23/2023 / Milan, IT / Mediolanum Forum 11/25/2023 / Milan, IT / Mediolanum Forum 11/28/2023 / Berlin, DE / Mercedes-Benz Arena 11/29/2023 / Berlin, DE / Mercedes-Benz Arena 12/1/2023 / Amsterdam, NL / Ziggo Dome 12/2/2023 / Amsterdam, NL / Ziggo Dome 12/5/2023 / London, UK / The O2 12/6/2023 / London, UK / The O2 NORTH AMERICA NEW SHOW DATE / CITY / VENUE / ORIGINAL SHOW DATE 12/13/2023 / Brooklyn / Barclays Center / Original Date (no change) 12/14/2023 / Brooklyn / Barclays Center / Original Date (no change) 12/16/2023 / Brooklyn / Barclays Center / MSG - 8/27/2023* 12/18/2023 / Washington / Capital One Arena / Original Date (no change) 12/19/2023 / Washington / Capital One Arena / 9/2/2023 1/8/2024 / Boston / TD Garden / 8/30/2023 1/9/2024 / Boston / TD Garden / 8/31/2023 1/11/2024 / Toronto / Scotiabank Arena / 8/13/2023 1/12/2024 / Toronto / Scotiabank Arena / 8/14/2023 1/15/2024 / Detroit / Little Caesars Arena / 8/5/2023 1/18/2024 / Montreal / Bell Centre / 8/19/2023 1/20/2024 / Montreal / Bell Centre / 8/20/2023 1/22/2024 / New York / Madison Square Garden Arena / 8/23/2023 1/23/2024 / New York / Madison Square Garden Arena / 8/24/2023 1/25/2024 / Philadelphia / Wells Fargo Center / 12/20/2023 1/29/2024 / New York / Madison Square Garden Arena / 8/26/2023 2/1/2024 / Chicago / United Center / 8/9/2023 2/2/2024 / Chicago / United Center / 8/10/2023 2/5/2024 / Pittsburgh / PPG Paints Arena / 8/7/2023 2/8/2024 / Cleveland / Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse / 8/2/2023 2/13/2024 / Saint Paul / Xcel Energy Center / 7/30/2023 2/17/2024 / Seattle / Climate Pledge Arena / 7/18/2023 2/18/2024 / Seattle / Climate Pledge Arena / 7/19/2023 2/21/2024 / Vancouver / Rogers Arena / 7/15/2023 2/24/2024 / Sacramento / Golden 1 Center / 1/13/2024 2/27/2024 / San Francisco / Chase Center / 10/4/2023 2/28/2024 / San Francisco / Chase Center / 10/5/2023 3/1/2024 / Las Vegas / T-Mobile Arena / 10/7/2023 3/2/2024 / Las Vegas / T-Mobile Arena / 10/8/2024 3/4/2024 / Los Angeles / Kia Forum / Crypto.com - 9/27/23* 3/5/2024 / Los Angeles / Kia Forum / Crypto.com - 9/28/23* 3/7/2024 / Los Angeles / Kia Forum / Crypto.com - 9/30/23* 3/9/2024 / Los Angeles / Kia Forum / Crypto.com - 10/01/23* 3/11/2024 / Los Angeles / Kia Forum / Kia Forum - 1/7/24 & 1/8/24* 3/13/2024 / Palm Desert / Acrisure Arena / 1/11/2024 3/16/2024 / Phoenix / Footprint Center / 7/22/2023 3/19/2024 / Denver / Ball Arena / 7/25/2023 3/24/2024 / Dallas / American Airlines Center / 9/18/2023 3/25/2024 / Dallas / American Airlines Center / 9/19/2023 3/28/2024 / Houston / Toyota Center / 9/13/2023 3/29/2024 / Houston / Toyota Center / 9/14/2023 4/1/2024 / Atlanta / State Farm Arena / 9/5/2023 4/4/2024 / Tampa / Amalie Arena / 9/7/2023 4/6/2024 / Miami / Kaseya Center / 9/9/2023 4/7/2024 / Miami / Kaseya Center / 9/10/2023 4/14/2024 / Austin / Moody Center / 9/21/2023 4/15/2024 / Austin / Moody Center / 9/22/2023 4/20/2024 / Mexico City / Palacio De Los Deportes / 1/25/2024 4/21/2024 / Mexico City / Palacio De Los Deportes / 1/27/2024 4/23/2024 / Mexico City / Palacio De Los Deportes / 1/28/2024 4/24/2024 / Mexico City / Palacio De Los Deportes / 1/30/2024 Cancelled / Tulsa / BOK Center / 7/27/2023 Cancelled / Nashville / Bridgestone Arena / 12/22/2023 Cancelled / San Francisco / Chase Center / 1/15/2024 Cancelled / Las Vegas / MGM Grand Garden Arena / 1/18/2024 Cancelled / Phoenix / Footprint Center / 1/20/2024

Madonna Tour

Madonna has announced details about her upcoming world tour, dubbed The Celebration Tour , confirming the project in a starry video that mirrors a scene from the 1990 documentary Truth Or Dare.

The video – see it below, but it’s probably NSFW – features the singer at a dinner party with guests including Jack Black, Lil Wayne, Judd Apatow, Diplo and others, with each playing the Truth or Dare game. When it comes to Amy Schumer’s turn, she dares Madonna to go on a tour performing her many hits. Madonna takes the dare.

Initially set for July 2023, Madonna had to postpone the Celebration Tour in June after getting hospitalized due to a bacterial infection. “My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children,” Madonna shared in a statement online in July. “My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour. I also didn’t want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone.”

During her first week of the Celebration Tour at a stop in Antwerp, Belgium, Madonna took a minute to address her recent hospitalization. “Less than four months ago, I was in a hospital and I was unconscious, and people were thinking, predicting that I might not make it,” Madonna told fans at Belgium’s Sportpaleis Arena. “So, it’s a fucking miracle that I’m here right now. My mother, God bless her, she must be watching over me — she said, ‘Girl, it’s not your time to go.'”

Madonna also recently spoke about the “near-death experience” during her Los Angeles concert in March, even addressing her doctor who was in the audience and the first words she said after getting out of her coma .

“It’s called a near-death experience, and I’m not kidding, it was pretty scary,” Madonna said. “Obviously, I didn’t know for four days because I was in an induced coma, but when I woke up, the first word I said was, ‘No.’ Anyway, that’s what my assistant tells me.”

The icon later told the audience, including this writer, at the Forum, “I’m pretty sure that God was saying to me, ‘You want to come with? You want to come with us, wanna go this way?’ And I said, ‘No!'”

“The oppression of the LGBTQ+ is not only unacceptable and inhumane; it’s creating an unsafe environment; it makes America a dangerous place for our most vulnerable citizens, especially trans women of color,” Madonna shared in a statement on Instagram. “Also, these so-called laws to protect our children are unfounded and pathetic. Anyone with half a brain knows not to fuck with a drag queen. Bob and I will see you from the stage in Nashville where we will celebrate the beauty that is the queer community.”

With dates scheduled throughout April 2024, Madonna will continue to travel all across the United States for the Celebration Tour , including stops in Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and Austin.

Madonna Celebration Tour Set List

Madonna’s tour features some of the legend’s most iconic songs and moments throughout her career.

“Four decades … as in, 40 years” Madonna replies. “As in, all those songs?”

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer performs tracks from the opener “Nothing Really Matters” to “La Isla Bonita,” which she also sang with Schumer in the tour announcement clip.

At a recent stop at the Kia Forum in L.A., Madonna’s set list also included “Holiday” from her self-titled debut to the disco anthem “Hung Up” from 2005’s Confessions on a Dance Floor to the title track from 1998’s Ray of Light — there’s no shortage of Madonna’s greatest songs to choose from.

The Celebration Tour Venues

by MadonnaTribe · January 18, 2023

It’s presale day for the European dates of Madonna’s Celebration Tour ! Following the first run of Icon Legacy Members presales for the North American shows that started right after the tour announcement yesterday, at 10 AM CET today the remaining shows in Europe went on sale, giving fan club members a clearer idea of what the stage set-up looks like, what “PIT” really means, what’s included in the VIP Packages, and so on.

American Express Cardmembers can also purchase tickets to Madonna’s tour dates in Sweden, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and Belgium before the general public. Please check madonna.com for the complete information.

Pricing it’s fairly consistent across the continent, but varies slightly from venue to venue. Unfortunately once again tickets are more expensive than the previous time; the price for a standard floor standing entry is now ranging between 180 and 300 € .  The floor is usually split in two sections. As usual, the London concerts, where Madonna will return on the 02 stage, offer a fully-seated set-up, except for the standing pits that for the time being seem to be only offered as part of the VIP Packages.

There are a few extra info and tidbits coming out from the presales: the 3D map for the Altice Arena in Lisbon gives you a clue about how the circular-shaped part of the stage will look like; Tele2 Arena in Stockholm is by far the biggest venue of the run; in some venues the gold circle area appears to extend from the side stages to the stalls; some venues also offer the option to purchase your entry as a collector ticket with a small extra charge (please note that the image is for illustrative purposes only).

Fans are sharing information, commenting the latest news and warming up for Madonna’s Celebration Tour at the MadonnaTribe Forum . Come join the party!

Madonna Finally Kicks Off Celebration World Tour In London

By Eve Batey

Madonna

It was a stressful summer for Madonna fans. Just weeks before her 78-stop career-retrospective Celebration World Tour was set to kick off in North America, the singer was rushed to a New York City hospital for a severe bacterial infection that prompted her to cancel that continent’s dates . But the 65-year-old icon and mother of six isn’t known as the hardest-working woman in show business for nothing, and on Saturday, she reclaimed the stage to rave reviews.

Madonna’s stop at London’s 20,000-seat O2 arena had been on the books since tour plans began, but when her health scare paused her Celebration schedule, Oct. 14 became its de facto kickoff date. This is her 13th tour, and her first since 2020; as the name promises, it’s intended as a celebration of her four decades of hits. An opening-night set list captured by Billboard suggests that the show lived up to its name: early songs like “Holiday” and “Burning Up,” career highs such as “Like a Prayer” and Vogue,” and 2000s-era entries like “Music” and “Bitch I’m Madonna” all made an appearance.

Of course, fans had to wait a bit to hear those hits. Technical difficulties meant the show was delayed by 30 minutes, the New York Times reports . Four songs in, yet another delay, prompting Madonna to say, “This is exactly what you don’t want to happen on your opening night, so this wasn’t planned. I’m sorry,” AFP reports .

While her crew worked to restore order, she regaled the crowd with some early-career anecdotes, including her days of housing struggles. “I had no way to take a bath,” she said of her younger days in New York. “So I would actually date men who had showers and bathrooms. Those were the days, and that is the truth.”

“I’m pretty damned surprised that I made it this far, and I mean that on so many levels. How did I make it this far? Because of you. I’m going to take a bit of credit, too.”

She also addressed her June health crisis, saying, “It was a crazy year for me and I didn’t think I was going to make it. I forgot five days of my life.”

“But the angels were protecting me and my children were there and my children always save me every time. And if you want to know a secret as to how I survived, I thought, ‘I have to survive for them. I have to survive for my children.’”

The hotly-anticipated show was met by critical praise—not a given for the star, who noted Saturday that “To age is to sin. I think the most controversial thing I’ve done is to stick around.” According to The Independent’s critic, Helen Brown , “I’ve sat through a couple of Madonna’s more robotic stadium shows in the past, feeling as though I was bearing witness to a seven-figure PowerPoint presentation from Brand Madonna. But at 65, the woman who once sang of wanting to “conquer and deliver and despise” the world has a renewed appetite for human connection.”

Writing for the BBC , Mark Savage says that Madonna “looked and sounded incredible throughout, moving from one elaborate set-piece to the next with conviction and power.” Variety’s Mark Sutherland agrees, writing, “Madonna still doesn’t know how to quit, boy, has she learned how to come back.”

Live reviews

As per usual, there was no opening act. There was a DJ, Michael Diamond, but his techno lyricless set was both off target for the audience and turned down too low to really motivate the crowd. What got everyone moving was after his set when "Wanna Be Startin' Something" started blasting through the speakers.

Then at 10:15, two and a half hours after the start time, the show started. Visually it was amazing: stellar graphics, mind-blowing set pieces, and great repeated use of the elongated stage. Madonna and crew really took advantage of it. My favorite pieces were guys on the tops of 20-foot poles swinging in a 240 degree arc all over the place and "Heartbreak City" done on a spiral staircase. The final 1/4 of the show was done in 1920's imagery and flapper garb and styling and it was just beautiful.

Madonna's voice has never been better, like seriously better. And she finally learned how to play that #$#% guitar she keeps shoving down our throats tour after tour. She was very present and interactive with the audience too. There were some great parts with her dancers and she talked a lot. She's almost 60 so I didn't expect her to be bouncing up and down but she still did a lot more than I expected.

The song selection was a mixed bag. The first half of the show was heavy on songs from Rebel Heart (6 of the first 10 songs) which is not a fun, up album even though the songs she did were some of the better songs from that mixed bag of an album. Because of it we didn't have much to do because the music wasn't fast enough to dance to and the songs were too new for us to know much of the lyrics. The exception was "Heartbreak City"/"Love Don't Live Here Anymore" which was a show highlight.

She also chose to rearrange virtually all of her hits, some to greater effect than others. I liked the guitar-heavy "Burning Up", just not its set placement as the third song, She only did a snippet of "Vogue" and later did a mashup of "Dress You Up" / "Into the Groove" / "Everybody" / "Lucky Star" which I didn't think really worked. Her choice to do a French-language ballad and "Unapologetic Bitch" as second and next to last song just slowed things down again. They would have been better placed in the middle of the show.

And that is my major criticism of Madonna's Rebel Heart show in San Jose. As beautiful and mesmerizing as it was, the pacing was just off. The show opened slow, had some energy for a while, then hopped back and forth but never really got into high gear. The final 15 minutes though were cringeworthy. She ended up bringing some guy (out of the crowd?) on stage. I really have no idea why she thought it was a good idea to chat with a guy who has a heavy accent who obviously had been dancing off to the side but she did it...right before the finale and it just let the energy out of the room. She closed with a peppy but short version of "Holiday" - and then at a bit after midnight she said good-bye.

Now for my personal criticism of the show. My luck that the first time I see her in 15 years that she chooses songs that are hits of hers that I like the least - "Frozen", "Who's That Girl", "Deeper & Deeper, "Live To Tell", "Material Girl", "La Isla Bonita", and "Like A Virgin". She also remade and mashed many of them up to such an extent that I no longer recognized them. That's not a bad thing to do in theory; it worked for Sticky & Sweet to beautiful effect which is why I opted to give this show a chance knowing I wasn't wild about the song set. Thing is tho the rearrangements either didn't bring anything inspiring to the songs or they ended up taking away what little I liked from them. They appeared to be remade just for the sake of remaking them.

I'm glad I went but I'm still not sure if spending as much as I would have spent for a flight to Hawaii for a 2+ hour show was really worth it. Should you see it? If you are a long-time Madonna fan who hasn't seen her in a while I think you will enjoy the show. If you are not, and/or you are not that into her latest album, you might want to wait for the inevitable HBO special.

It doesn't even seem right to call a Madonna concert a concert. It is so much more than that. Nothing can really compare to it. It is a of course a showcase of her incredible hits, but it is also a dance production, a circus, a burlesque, and a vaudeville performance among other things. The show encompasses many theatrics too difficult to quantify, but without a doubt it is a night filled with uncontrollable energy.

First and foremost Madonna is an entertainer, but she is also a serious singer whose talent can't be denied. This is too often eclipsed by the absolute tour de force performance she gives. Her show is beautifully choreographed and features virtual media displays that transfers the audience to other-worldly territories. In a live performance of one of her more recent tracks "Nobody Knows Me" she is jumping with acrobats who are flipping and flexing on tightropes all to a backdrop of haunting images displayed on the halogen screen surrounding them. Watching it is like seeing a stint from the Chinese Performing Art troupe set to a techno-dystopian universe.

If you attend a Madonna show of course you will hear hit upon hit, but don't always expect to hear the ordinary version. For the MDNA tour she did a completely unexpected cabaret version of "Like a Virgin" . It was a stripped down version in the sense that Madonna acted like a stripper literally dancing on stage for money and also in the sense that it was expedited of all the synth flourishes of the actual recording featuring only an upright piano and her vocals. The minimalist setup for this particular part of the performance allowed attention to be shifted to her voice showing the audience why she is such a revered singer.

Madonna is not an artist who milks the success of her past, but is one who marches forward with extreme progression. Her music continues to stay relevant and inspires current artists and newer fans. Her most recent album features Sri Lanka hip-hop star M.I.A. and rap diva Nicki Minaj and integrates modern sounds and cutting edge technology. Given Madonna's ever evolving style anytime seems like the right time to catch one of her shows.

It would be unfair to call Madonna just a singer when in reality she is an icon. She is a talent that has managed to change the face of pop music forever, still projecting her creative vision onto the industry.

Growing up in a house where Madonna's music could always be heard it was only understandable that this lady quite easily found herself onto my bucket list very quickly. The MDNA tour saw her sing material from her twelfth studio album 'MDNA'.

The most refreshing attribute about Madonna is that unlike so many artists of today she is unafraid to break the boundaries and stir up some controversy at the same time. As usual the show didn't sit comfortably with everyone as some of its key themes included violence, human rights and nudity. Despite this, at the age of 56 she is still able to cause such an impact with her music which is why this tour became the twelfth highest-grossing tour of all time. It may not have included as many of the stars classic hits as some of the audience members would have liked, however it should be noted that this was not a Greatest Hits tour instead a tour aimed to showcase new songs. What has to be admired about Madonna is her ability to reinvent herself every time a new album is released, and despite being in the industry for a long time it can be so easy to lose yourself and particularly what you stand for but it's this that she has so easily avoided. However, there is no denying that as soon as the familiar tunes of 'Papa Don't Preach', 'Vogue' and 'Like A Prayer' were heard the audience were sent into a frenzy, but it must be noted that it was the careful crafting of the set list which allowed for these songs to be enjoyed so much more when they were sang.

Overall, seeing Madonna was unlike anything else I have seen, it wasn't just a show it was a performance; an artistic movement showcased by a true legend.

Even if she hasn’t quite managed to win the critics over since 2005’s Confessions on a Dance Floor, the enormous commercial success of her subsequent records - Hard Candy and MDNA - confirms that Madonna is still among the world’s most popular solo artists. On the live front, too, she can hold her own against anybody, with a box office taking of $305 million for 88 shows on the MDNA front placing her on the very top tier where pulling power’s concerned, up there with U2 and The Rolling Stones. Perhaps with good reason, too; her most recent live show was a typically lavish affair, with a thematically complex structure boasting four sections - Transgression, Prophecy, Masculine/Feminine and Redemption. Musically, the setlists saw some reinvention of her classic material, with a stripped-back version of ‘Papa Don’t Preach’ and dramatic new incarnation of ‘Like a Prayer’ among the highlights. Nods to the current pop scene, too, were commonplace; Lil Wayne made an appearance - albeit in digital form only - on their collaboration ‘Revolver’, whilst MDNA choice cut, ‘I Don’t Give a’, saw Madonna backed by Nicki Minaj over the big screens. Blending the old and the new so brazenly is one way in which she divides opinion; if there wasn’t controversy, though, it wouldn’t quite be Madonna.

Madonna is an artist with such credentials under her belt that very few others have obtained, even less so by themselves. She has fought against all kinds of "demons" such as sexism, critics, "bad" husbands, while always being under the public eye.

And yet, with So many things/people battling to impede her succeeding, she always came out not only on top, but also having created yet another rhythm or style or trend for all the rest to follow...

So, as you may imagine, this was: ONE. HELL. OF. A. CONCERT. FOR. ME.

I have to say though that it was a BIG letdown the fact that she started the concert with some two hours of delay, which basically robbed us (Madonna fans attending on that night) of all the Encore set she could/should/would have played, most probably including some of her most famous hits, such as "Like a Prayer", amongst many other possibilities.

So, to sum it up, it Was indeed one of the Best Concerts I've ever attended (and having been to this one, there's only about some 5-8 Great Bands/Singers that I still have to see Live), but the experience was only (slightly over) half consumed.

I Fucking LOVE that Bitch!!!!!!

It was my very first Madonna concert. I paid my most expensive ticket fees, 2!week salary, to get a Mezzanine section in my he Wiltern theater, Los Angeles (LA) when the tour was first announced, 6 months mabe.About the his venue, no AIr Condition for entire night outside or inside the theater. No comments no apologies from the facility. It might be always under this condition or just one night, I am not sure. About the production, nothing special, small stage, recycled props and pretty much the same dance moves. Madonna has a beautiful voice as ever but this show very disappointed me per all of my expectations. I recently attended Lady Gaga and Pinks (2 times), Aerosmith (2times). I would rate these shows 10 times better than Madonna in LA. To true fans who don’t make much money it is better to skip this show to retain a better memory about Madonna shows of old time.

I ran out of air the breath inside the theater so I left toward the end of the show when the stage turned totally dark. I could said the the show affected me negatively financially and emotionally. Thank you for reading.

I have been seeing Madonna concerts for many years and she always puts on a great show ! She is an excellent performer. The Madame X show was very close and personal. She played mostly from her new album with some old favorite hits. Due to injuries and her age, she does not move around and dance like in previous shows. She also looked unexpressional due to work on her face.

Start time was 10:30 and she came on a little after 11. There was a Portuguese band beforehand playing some of her songs which was very nice.

Overall, a good show. She had her daughter with her on stage which was a sweet touch. Madonna as always was outspoken about the President and current politics which is her freedom of speech. However, I did not go to hear political views, but to see her perform her music.

She always has a god message to inspire others to make a difference in the world. I love how she stands up for women and gay rights. I love Madonna and always will !

I've been a Madonna fan since the 80's and have always wanted to see her but never did until 1/23/16 in Miami. Because we read prior reviews and saw that she has been at lest 2 hours late, we did not get to the arena until almost 10 pm. We went to the restroom, grabbed some drinks and climbed to our $200 nosebleed seats. We only had to wait about 15 minutes before she started at 10:24 pm. She performed until almost 1 am. The stage show was good but I was kind of disappointed that most of her older popular hits were performed at a slower beat than expected. It was definitely not the dancing concert I expected. I'm happy that I finally got to see her and crossed her off my must see list but I do not feel like I ever have to see her in concert again.

Well Madonna is known for her tremendous shows and originality. The show I went to see in 2011 was one of them, all Paris was there waitig for THE idol of all times. As adored as mickael Jackson at least she's the revolution in girl idols for many decades of teenagers and growing women. The show even at her age was incredible, she dances and sings like a twenty year old, she still has it. She could be ridiculously slow and tired in comparison with her young and muscular dancers but not! She leads every minute of her creation with great energy and passion. This was a huge venue and even though I was far from the stage it was incredible, everyone was happy and singing along, dancing also. This MDMA tour was just incredible...

AMAZING!!! Love that she engages a lot with the audience. The track list was fantastic...the small theater experience was hard to adjust at first because I’m so used to her large stadium/arena productions, but it all changed when she started talking and explaining her reason for this production. I had many favorite moments for example, Vogue was fun, no remix just the original song performed, the Batuka ladies where fantastic, Frozen was so beautifully done, her Fado club was section was cool. Everything about this theater experience was great...I can’t wait to see it again in Vegas next weekend. I highly recommend it!

Madonna

Madonna played the final shows of The Celebration Tour, closing her six-month trek with $225.4 million and 1.1 million tickets sold over 80 shows, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore .

The Celebration Tour is Madonna’s sixth trek to gross more than $100 million. The only other acts to achieve this are the Eagles , The Rolling Stones , Bruce Springsteen and U2 , making her the sole woman in this elite group.

Madonna Wraps Celebration Tour With Record-Setting Free Concert in Rio de Janeiro

Trending on billboard.

By year’s end, Madonna played three shows in Brooklyn and two in Washington, D.C., before resuming the North American leg with 42 more shows from January through April. In the U.S. and Canada, she earned $133.1 million and sold 616,000 tickets, sending the tour’s total figures beyond $200 million and 1 million tickets.

Finally, Madonna went to Latin America for the first time since 2016, as part of the Rebel Heart Tour. Five shows at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes grossed $14.8 million and sold 82,400 tickets.

In all, The Celebration Tour’s $225 million finish marks Madonna’s highest-grossing tour in over a decade. While in Europe, it surpassed her theater experiment on the Madame X Tour ($51.5 million in 2019-20). And during her North American leg, she partied past the Rebel Heart Tour’s $169.8 million from 2015-16.

Madonna’s recent high dates back to 2012’s MDNA Tour, which grossed $305.2 million and sold 2.2 million tickets. That trek played many of the same American arenas as The Celebration Tour, but took her to Europe’s outsized outdoor stadiums, plus a lengthier stadium run throughout Latin America. Her biggest tour ever was the one before that, earning $407.7 million from 3.5 million tickets on the Sticky & Sweet Tour (2008-09).

That average attendance is missing an obvious asterisk. After playing her final show in Mexico City, Madonna staged a free concert at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, marking her first stop in the city since a Dec. 2, 2012, performance on the MDNA Tour. The show’s gargantuan success does not factor into her official Boxscore results because it was a free event, but it’s plenty worth noting that she drew 1.6 million people – roughly 40% more than the combined attendance of her entire tour. According to concert promoter Live Nation, it’s the largest audience ever for a stand-alone concert by any artist in history.

The Celebration Tour pushes Madonna’s reported career total to $1.6 billion and – without accounting for the Brazil show – 12.8 million tickets.

Taylor Swift kicks off European leg of Eras Tour with four nights in Paris

The highest-grossing tour in history finally arrived in Europe on Thursday as Taylor Swift kicked off her European dates with four nights in Paris.

Issued on: 09/05/2024 - 07:13

Thousands of fans were already visiting the La Defense Arena 24 hours before the show just to get their hands on the merchandise as soon as possible.

A handful of superfans camped out from Tuesday to ensure they got a prime spot in the standing section.

"I didn't plan to, but I came to check it out and I saw the first tents and I panicked a little," said Chris, 30.

Noah, 20, is seeing all four Paris concerts -- he used 22 email addresses to get through the lottery system and secure the tickets.

Many accents in the crowd were American -- the venue says a fifth of the audience has come from the United States .

Georg'Ann Daly decided to celebrate her 23rd birthday with the show in Paris. It meant flying from Nashville to Chicago to London and catching the Eurostar to Paris.

"I've always been obsessed with Taylor Swift ," she told AFP.

"I went to her show in Nashville and thought I'm never doing that again because it was crazy. It's a lot of over-stimulation and I have social anxiety.

"But it's my birthday and it's Paris and it's the first night of the tour, and I thought why not? It's so worth it!"

Record-breaker

Some 42,000 people will see Swift in Paris before she heads on for dates in Sweden , Portugal , Spain , Britain , Ireland , Netherlands , Switzerland , Italy , Germany , Poland and Austria .

The Eras Tour has worked its way across North and South America and Asia since starting in March 2023.

By the end of the year, it had already become the first to sell more than $1 billion in tickets and is on track to more than double that by the time it concludes in Vancouver this December.

Watch more A closer look at the Taylor Swift effect

Swifties in Paris are especially excited to hear songs off her new album, "The Tortured Poets Society", being performed for the first time.

Many critics have derided the 31-track album as bloated and lacking in sure-fire hits.

But you won't hear that from the devoted crowd in Paris.

"I love the new album -- it's chill, it's fun to listen to even though it's got a sadder vibe," said Kelly Shrout, 40, who flew with 11 friends from Kentucky in the United States for the show.

"I hope she plays 'Fortnight'," she added.

Her popularity shows no sign of dimming -- the new album shifted 1.4 million copies on its first day and broke every streaming record going, reaching a billion streams on Spotify within five days.

Swift's tell-all dissections of her love stories have been the fuel powering her global domination, and fans have been pouring over "The Tortured Poets Department" for cryptic clues about Joe Alwyn, her short-but-dramatic fling with Matty Healy (lead singer of The 1975), and her current partner, American football star Travis Kelce.

"Taylor talks about toxic relationships, impossible love, politics, mental health, and so much more -- I think we can all find a song that resonates with our experiences," said Chris as she waited by her tent for the big moment.
