Walt Disney World Resort Introduces Taste of Magic Kingdom Park VIP Tour

If you’ve visited the Walt Disney World Resort a few times, like I have, (ok….a few may be a misnomer for me….) you start looking for unique options to enhance your vacation experience. One fun way to have a different experience would be to take part in a tour and there’s a brand new one that I wanted to put on your radar to consider.

Called the Taste of Magic Kingdom Park VIP Tour, Guests are able to “step behind the counter of the food and beverage experience at Magic Kingdom park and enjoy VIP tastings of iconic Disney menu items.” During the tour, Guests will be able to hear stories from the chefs who bring these delicious dishes to life at the Magic Kingdom. You’ll also be able to have access to backstage kitchens and other areas that have never been shared with Guests before and learn what goes into the creation and production of serving Guests at the most popular theme park in the world. Oh yes, and you’ll get to enjoy a few of these dishes along the way too, plus you may even get to sample items that are still in development!

The cost of this new tour is $99 per person, plus tax and you must have separate theme park admission. The Taste of Magic Kingdom Park VIP Tour is offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and Guests must be at least 12 years of age to participate. Also, because you’ll be around food, there are a few additional things to consider, like you cannot be exhibiting any signs of being ill, and menu selections cannot be modified and substitutions cannot be accommodated. Check in for the tour is located at Tony’s Town Square.

The Taste of Magic Kingdom Park VIP Tour starts on February 24 and is at 9:00 a.m. and will last three hours. To book this tour, call (407) WDW-DINE.

If you have ever wondered how Magic Kingdom® chefs create the incredible food and beverage offerings throughout the park, then this new VIP tour is for you! You can step behind the counter for this one-of-a-kind backstage tour that includes VIP tastings of their most popular menu items.

During the tour, you will discover how food memories are made as you taste your way through the kitchens of Magic Kingdom Park. You can sample the Mickey-shaped cinnamon rolls, and  the Grey Stuff from Be Our Guest Restaurant – it’s delicious! Along the way, you will hear stories from some of our dedicated chefs and cast members, as well as the VIP Tour Guides, who all help bring our creative and delicious meals to life. From sharing the rich history of Disney Parks food to providing an insider’s look at the creation of new menu items, cast members will immerse you in the culinary magic of Disney!

The tour also includes exclusive and unprecedented access to a few of the backstage kitchens and working areas that have never before been seen by Guests. This behind-the-scenes look will allow you to interact with the creative experts and experience first-hand everything that goes into the production of serving millions of Guests each year.

Throughout the experience, there will be specially curated tastings of Disney’s most beloved snacks at Magic Kingdom Park, including savory and sweet items.  You will even get a peek into the future and help create the next generation of Disney Parks food with a sampling of an item that’s still in development.

The Taste of Magic Kingdom Park VIP Tour is currently offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Pricing is $99 per person plus tax and valid park admission is required and not included in the price of this experience. The tour is three hours long and guests need to be at least 16 years of age to participate.

All menu items, tastings, and experiences offered during the Taste of Magic Kingdom Park VIP Tour are subject to change without notice.

New Taste of Magic Kingdom VIP Tour takes guests behind the counter

A new VIP tour that’s perfect for theme park foodies, called Taste of Magic Kingdom, is now available at Walt Disney World.

Guests can discover how food memories are made on this brand-new, 3-hour tour. During the experience, guests will hear stories from the chefs and cast members that help bring these classic meals to life every day at Magic Kingdom, learning all about the food history of the Disney Parks and the “imagineering” of new menu items.

Those who take this new VIP tour will experience access to backstage kitchens and working areas that have never been shared before with guests. Participants will see what goes into the production of serving the millions of guests that visit the park, and even interact with the creative minds behind these food items.

Throughout the Taste of Magic Kingdom tour, guests will get to enjoy curated tastings of some of the most beloved menu items at the park – so be sure to bring your appetite! As a special treat, guests will also be able to sample an item that’s still in development and help Disney culinary artists create the next big thing.

All guests will be required to sign a waiver in order to take the tour, and must be at least 12 years of age to participate. Guests are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes prior to the tour’s start time, and check-in at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. No cameras, video equipment, or cell phones may be used in backstage areas, but photography is allowed in all non-backstage areas.

This VIP tour experience is $99 per person, plus tax, and valid theme park admission is required to attend. The tour is currently offered on Monday-Tuesday and Friday-Sunday during the week, and can be booked online or over the phone at (407) WDW-DINE.

Guests can book this tour now, and the first tours will begin on Feb. 24, 2019.

I LOVE this idea, and you don’t have to sell me on a tour where I learn about and eat some of my favorite Disney Park food.

The ‘Taste of Magic Kingdom Park VIP Tour’ lasts 3 hours and includes:

Uncover the Magic Behind the Meals

The brilliant chefs and dedicated Cast Members behind your favorite Disney treats will tell stories and explain all the work that goes into bringing these creative and delicious meals to life each day at Magic Kingdom park.  You’ll also hear about the rich food history of Disney parks and how they “Imagineer” these new menu items to life.

Go Behind-the-Scenes

Guests don’t have access to the backstage kitchens of the Magic Kingdom, until now!  Go behind the scenes and see for yourself where Disney chefs are bringing these culinary creations to life.  Find out what it’s like to come up with unique food options from the design to implementation and how they are served to millions of guests year-round.

Delight in Delicious Tastings

This is the part where you actually get to eat all those yummy creations!  You guide will bring you to some of the most beloved snack and food items in Disney’s Magic Kingdom.  Bring your appetite with you, you’re going to need it!

We are so excited about a new tour that is now available at Walt Disney World!  This new tour offering takes us over to Magic Kingdom Park where guests will be able to receive tastings of some of the most iconic and favorite menu items at the park.  The tour is known as the Taste of Magic Kingdom Park VIP Tour.  Dining is a huge part of a Disney vacation for so many guests, so this is a great opportunity to experience the best of the best. The tour will last around 3 hours and will include a variety of great experiences, including:

• Stories from great chefs and cast members at Walt Disney World
• A look at the kitchens for a backstage culinary experience.
• A tasting of a food item that is still in development.
• Tastings of some of the favorite menu items found at Magic Kingdom Park.

The cost for the tour will come in at $99 per guest, plus taxes.  Guests will also be required to have valid theme park admission to Magic Kingdom Park in order to participate in the tour.  Guests must be at least 12 in order to participate in this particular tour. Currently the dates for the tour are expected to begin Sunday, February 24th, 2019.  The tour looks to be offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, Friday, Saturdays and Sundays based on availability at the time of booking.

Reservations are already available for the tour, so you can get yours by booking online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.

I'm no stranger to Disney Tours, I've taken about five of them over the past few years or so. Not only do they spice up my itinerary, but they enhance my Disney Parks knowledge and vacation overall. When I first heard about the Taste of Magic Kingdom VIP Tour I pounced - fun facts *and* food? I was there. I initially discovered this tour on an old message board community I used to be apart of called Intercot (any Intercotees out there?). Back when I was a teenager it was poppin' - full of Disney people sharing information and experiences. However, once Facebook came along independent message boards like that faded to obscurity. While it's still active, the boards are a shell of what they were. I digress though - I *was* randomly on it one day and saw a post about this tour, so I decided to book it for this past trip. What makes this tour unique is that it's both a walking tour with fun facts and a food tour. As such, I needed to sign a waiver before it started. We met at Tony's Town Square where they had breakfast and were given a brief introduction. We were accompanied by two VIP tour guides from Guest Relations who led us all around the park making multiple stops. The tour was set up as a past-present-future structure, giving us the history of food in the MK, where they are now, and what the future looks like (all the while sampling all the foods that were discussed). We also had a chance to have a Q&A with a Disney chef, tour some kitchens, and learn about the history of one of the restaurants in the park. This tour was great because of the information I got and the sheer amount of food that we were provided. The funniest part was when we stopped at Liberty Square one of the cast members had a tray of popcorn for us to sample, and guests were just randomly coming up trying to grab them (people are savages sometimes I swear). We were also given the opportunity to try a prototype snack that was currently still in production and give our feedback on it. The tour guides were awesome, and the whole tour from start to finish was great. My only critique was that we spent a little too much time at the Q&A session - towards the end it felt like we were just sitting there waiting for the next thing to do. Besides that, I feel it's definitely worth it to go on this tour - you get a lot of information and a lot of food. I would love to see this tour extend into Epcot - *then* my dreams really will come true ;-)

Earlier this year Disney introduced a brand new tour in Magic Kingdom park called the Taste of Magic Kingdom VIP Food Tou r. Of course, we were SO there and did a full review of the tour ! Well, there’s good news for those food-focused Annual Passholders: you can now get a discount!

The Taste of Magic Kingdom Park VIP Food Tour takes guests behind the scenes of several Magic Kingdom kitchens over the course of 3 hours. Guests learn facts about food service at Disney World and (our favorite part) get to taste samplings of some of Magic Kingdom’s most iconic foods! There’s also a bonus taste of an in-development item at the end of the tour.

Well now, Annual Passholders can enjoy this VIP experience for 15% off ! The tour is usually offered for $99 per person plus valid park admission so the discount makes this tour much more affordable for a Passholder!

Taste of Magic Kingdom Park

If you’re a total foodie, like us, this tour might be the experience for you. And, if you’re an Annual Passholder taking advantage of this discount is a great way to use some of your Passholder perks.
