For the second straight year, Manchester United will conduct a preseason tour of the United States.

The Red Devils won’t be alone, with high-profile Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool coming to the U.S. ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.

“The popularity of English football is continuously growing in the U.S., and we’ve come to expect passionate and enthusiastic support from our U.S. fan base,” said the club’s football director John Murtough. “They didn’t disappoint last year and everyone at the club is looking forward to reconnecting with those fans again this summer.”

So far, the club has confirmed three matches for this tour: a clash with Arsenal at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on July 27, a July 31 match with Real Betis in San Diego, and an August 3 game against Liverpool at Williams-Brice Stadium — the home of the University of South Carolina football team — in Columbia, South Carolina.

Here are the fixtures that have been announced so far for Manchester United’s summer tour of the United States , including information on purchasing tickets.

2024 USA Tour tickets now on sale

We’re heading to the USA again this summer where we’ll face Manchester United and Liverpool as part of our preparations for the 2024/25 season.

First up, we'll play Manchester United at SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, on July 27. This will be the second time we’ll have faced each other on American soil, with the same fixture last July selling out the 80,000-capacity MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.  

In another high-profile game, we’ll travel to Philadelphia where we’ll play Liverpool at Lincoln Financial Field on July 31. This will be the first time we’ll have played each other in the US.

Erik ten Hag to Remain as Manchester United Manager, per Report

Manchester United won't be in the market for a new manager this summer after INEOS reportedly informed Erik ten Hag that he would remain in his role on Tuesday, according to Fabrizio Romano .

There had been plenty of speculation about ten Hag's future with the club after a lackluster season in 2023-24, during which the Red Devils finished in eighth in the Premier League. The injury-plagued campaign was the club's worst finish in the Premier League since its inception in 1992, and their worst season in the English top flight since 1989-90.

Despite their disappointing campaign in the Premier League, Manchester United was able to add to its extensive trophy case via the FA Cup after defeating Manchester City in the final, 2–1. That result may very well have saved Ten Hag's job.

David Ornstein of The Athletic reports that the club intends to open negotiations over a new contract with Ten Hag in the near future. His current deal expires next June, though it's likely that he'll be extended further.

Ten Hag has been at the helm for Manchester United since 2022, when he was appointed manager after a successful stint with Ajax in the Eredivisie. The club has won a trophy in each of his first two seasons, taking home the EFL Cup in 2022-23 and the FA Cup this year.
