The band will perform its 2012 album The Paralax II: Future Sequence in its entirety

Between the Buried and Me have announced a Summer 2023 North American tour that will see the band performing its acclaimed 2012 album, The Paralax II: Future Sequence , in its entirety.

The extensive trek kicks off June 16th in Charleston, South Carolina, and runs through July 31st in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Thank You Scientist and Rivers of Nihil will provide support.

Artist and Live Nation pre-sales have begun using the code DISCORD502 or OPENER via  Ticketmaster . General ticket sales start Friday, March 10th. Alternatively, you can pick tickets via StubHub , where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.

The Used and Pierce the Veil Announce 2023 North American Co-Headlining Tour

The Paralax II: Future Sequence was released in October 2012 as the follow-up to 2011 EP, The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues . Between The Buried And Me at The Beacham in Orlando, FL

With only a few stops left on The Parallax II Tour , Between The Buried And Me came to The Beacham in Orlando, FL. 

Between The Buried And Me ‘s The Parallax II Tour brought along Thank You Scientist and Rivers of Nihil . The tour had 30 shows routing from coast to coast. The acts gave us a mix of genres from metalcore, death metal, and vibrant progressive rock. The room filled up fast from the long line outside of the venue with long-time followers of Between The Buried And Me.

The supporting act Rivers of Nihil was up first. They have a reputation for putting on quite the show, and let’s just say, they didn’t disappoint. They gave the sea of people inside the sold-out room high energy and played some of their biggest songs, or as you might say some fan favorites. The six-song setlist included songs from their albums W here Owls Know My Name , The Work, and their latest hit song “The Sub-Orbital Blues.” The audience had no problems starting circle mosh pits and crowd surfing as soon as Rivers of Nihil started their set. 

Next up was Thank You Scientist who gave everyone in the crowd a change of pace with their tireless energy and vibrant sound. The crowd was able to experience quite a mix of sounds including saxophone, violin, trumpet, drums, and guitar. However, the mix of sounds gave a beautiful mix and change of genres for our crowd to hear from metalcore to death metal. They played “ Wrinkle,” “ FXMLDR,” “ Feed the Horses,” “ Son of a Serpent,” “ The Amateur Arsonist’s Handbook,” “ Chromology,” “ Mr. Invisible,” and “ Terraformer.” Looking around The Beacham you saw people dancing and moving to the electric sound of the music, a much different feel from the circle pits.

Finally, once the stage lights went down and the big screens lit up, it was time for Between The Buried And Me. The metal fans in the audience started going crazy with chants and screams. Due to their many years of performing, the band knows how to keep the audience captivated with an epic light show and great crowd work. After playing a few songs, they jumped into thanking everyone who showed up giving the support acts a shoutout as well. 

The Parallax II: Future Sequence was performed in its entirety from beginning to end. When it came out in 2012, it became a memorable album and offered listeners an hour and 12 minutes of metal, techno, and death metal songs. The moshing was non-stop all night and to no surprise, you could hear the crowd chanting the lyrics right along with Between The Buried And Me.

Between the Buried and Me Revisit ‘The Parallax II’ in Full on Summer 2023 Tour Dates With Thank You Scientist + Rivers of Nihil

The calendar says 2023, but Between the Buried and Me will be taking fans back to 2012 this summer as they revisit the critically acclaimed The Parallax II: Future Sequence album in its entirety for concertgoers.

The stellar album was an offshoot, continuing the conceptual narrative laid out by the previous year's The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues EP. It found the band expanding upon their metal influences working in elements of progressive rock, jazz and fusion into the musical fold. The record featured such standout tracks as "Astral Body" and "Telos," both of which were issued ahead of the album release.

The group will spend a month-and-a-half on the road in North America, following a European tour taking place this spring. Joining the band on the run will be Thank You Scientist and Rivers of Nihil , making for a truly formidable bill that is not to be missed. Look for the tour to kick off June 16 in Charleston, South Carolina, heading north and crossing into Canada before making its way to the West Coast and then circling back across the southern portion of the U.S. All dates, cities and venues can be seen below.

Tickets for the run will go on sale this Friday (March 10), and you can used the presale code DISCORD502 to get tickets now through the band's website .

It should also be noted that after the tour comes to a close, Between the Buried and Me have one more U.S. date playing Furnace Fest at Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham, Alabama on Sept. 22.

Grammy -nominated band TRIVIUM will embark on a fall 2022 North American headlining tour plans. Support on the "Deadmen And Dragons" trek, produced by Live Nation , will come from BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME , WHITECHAPEL and KHEMMIS .

A special BLABBERMOUTH.NET presale will begin on Wednesday, July 20 at 10:00 a.m. local time and end on Thursday, July 21 at 10:00 p.m. local time. When prompted, type in the presale code "TRIVBBM" to access tickets before the general public. General on-sale will be Friday, July 22 at 10 a.m. local time.

To herald the news, there is a special live Twitch press conference happening now and hosted by Nik Nocturnal on his channel, featuring a guided chat with members from each band.

The members of TRIVIUM are very excited about the tour package they've put together for the fans, as they are passionate fans of each of their tourmates.

" BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME are the pioneers of mixing genres well before anyone else had," says guitarist/vocalist Matt Heafy . " BTBAM back in 2002 — on the impeccable self-titled album — showed that they were unapologetically ready to mix elements of death metal, melodic death metal, grindcore, power metal, prog, ethereal — at times beautiful — passages of melody. Their self-titled record was a massive influence on me; I was captivated by the immense mixture of so many styles. Through their combining of a vast range of sonics and soundscapes, they created a sound that is truly their own."

Guitarist Corey Beaulieu adds: "We're excited to have WHITECHAPEL be a part of this amazing bill. It's been over 10 years since we toured together on the 'Shogun' tour and seeing how the band has progressed over the years and added a killer melodic element to their brutal sound just makes it a perfect time to share the stage once again."

" KHEMMIS is one of my favorite new bands of the last few years, and when we were putting the tour together, I heavily advocated for having them on the bill," says bassist Paolo Gregoletto . "I think it's always a testament to a band's sound when you have trouble pinning a label to it — doom, melodic metal, thrash, death metal. With KHEMMIS , it's all in there and rocks hard. TRIVIUM 's latest album, "In The Court Of The Dragon" , was released last October via the band's longtime label Roadrunner Records . The record was produced and mixed by Josh Wilbur and recorded in the fall of 2020 at Full Sail University in Orlando. The album cover is an original oil painting by French artist Mathieu Nozieres .

TRIVIUM recently supported MEGADETH and LAMB OF GOD on the 2022 leg of "The Metal Tour Of The Year" .

Jennifer Lopez  is canceling her return to the touring stage almost a month before she was scheduled to kick off the This Is Me...Now The Tour , her first tour in five years. 

On Friday, the 54-year-old singer announced that she would not be embarking on her previously announced 30+ city tour in support of her  new album,  This Is Me... Now . The last time fans got the J.Lo touring experience was with her 2019 tour that grossed over $50 million and sold out venues across the country.

"Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends," representatives from Live Nation said in a statement. 

Lopez also expressed her apologies in a message to her fans via her OntheJLO newsletter .  

"I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down," she wrote. "Please know that I wouldn't do this if I didn't feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time..."

A source tells ET that the singer canceled her tour because "she wants to focus on her family and the stress from it has been a lot for her."

Produced by Live Nation, the tour was meant to begin with its first show on June 26 in Orlando, Florida, at Kia Center. Lopez was then scheduled to make stops across North America in Miami, Los Angeles, Toronto, her hometown of New York City, and more before wrapping up in Houston, Texas, on Aug. 31 at Toyota Center.

Fans were told that Lopez would perform her catalog of hits across her discography, as well as new songs from her latest album.

The decision to cancel her tour comes amid speculation of a split between Lopez and her husband of two years,  Ben Affleck , 51.

There were rumors of a rift after the two had not been photographed together  in more than 40 days , that is until they were  seen riding in the same car together  on May 19 in Los Angeles. 

Lopez recently shut down a reporter when  confronted about rumors of a split  while promoting her new Netflix movie, the Brad Peyton-directed  Atlas.

According to a video from the press conference , when one journalist from the audience asked if the rumors that Lopez and Affleck had split were true, her co-star,  Simu Liu , was quick to chime in, saying, "OK, we're not doing that." 

"You know better than that," responded Lopez, who was wearing her wedding ring. 

Added Liu, "Don't come in here with that energy, please."

The  Barbie  actor concluded by praising Lopez, telling the audience, "Jen is a producer on this movie, and the reason why I'm here and the reason Sterling [K. Brown] was in this beautiful movie is because Jen cares and Jen cares about things like representation and diversity, and she's a boss and she's an incredible creative and an icon and that's what I think we should celebrate her for today."

Affleck and Lopez  tied the knot in July 2022  amid a whirlwind romance following their very public  on-again, off-again romance . Affleck had also recently been  seen without his wedding ring .

Amid their reported tensions, a  person familiar with the couple told ET  that the  Argo  actor is keeping his family -- purportedly meaning his children and current wife -- safe and happy as he and Lopez work through their issues. 

"Ben's priority is his family and well-being," a source shared.

More recently, another source told ET that the couple is dealing with "some problems."

"Jen has been feeling pressure with all her work commitments and Ben is more chill and doesn't care about Hollywood and the stuff that comes along with it. He feels like ups and downs are part of life and everyone has these moments," the source shared. "They went back into their relationship hoping that any past issues wouldn't repeat themselves, but unfortunately, some of them are."

The source added that the father of three has been "trying to do his best when it comes to his career, co-parenting, and being a good partner, but feels overwhelmed."

"Ben and Jen don't want to get divorced and are saying they won't, but their relationship is simply not working at this point," the source said. "They aren't done yet and want to fix things because they love each other, but they are also both unhappy."

Affleck and Lopez reunited on Thursday and put on a united front  for his daughter, Violet. The couple was spotted Thursday dressed to the nines heading to Violet's graduation party in Los Angeles where they were joined by Affleck's mom, Christine Anne Boldt. 

The couple is set to share their second wedding anniversary in July, after  eloping to Las Vegas  for a quiet ceremony in 2022. They later hosted  a lavish wedding ceremony and reception  with friends and family at Affleck's Riceboro, Georgia, estate. 

Their reunion for Violet's graduation party came a day after ET reported, citing a source, that the couple is taking time apart from one another amid lingering issues.

The  source told ET , "Jen and Ben are continuing to take space from each other. They've been having issues for a few months and trying to figure things out on their own." 

Lopez may especially be  having a hard time .

"Jen has been having a hard time dealing with the general stress of life as well as in her career," the source continued. "She has been experiencing ups and downs while processing everything. She has been throwing herself into work, which has always been an outlet for her to stay busy and distracted."

According to another source,  Affleck pinpointed one of the main issues in the couple's marriage .

"Ben feels like Jen has a hard time feeling satisfied and that's one of the issues they're facing," the source previously told ET. "Ben is one of the only people who feels comfortable enough to be honest and real with Jen. It's part of why Jen loves him, but also why she's upset with him."

The source added, "She tries to play it off like she doesn't care what the public thinks about her, but she loves her fans so much, so their feedback does impact her. Ben and Jen are going through normal problems and nothing scandalous is going on."

When  ET spoke to Lopez  at the Hollywood premiere of  Atlas , she opened up about the importance of family, which also includes her 16-year-old twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony , Emme and Max, and the children Affleck shares with  Jennifer Garner ,  Violet , 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.

"One thing you can always trust in [is] family," Lopez told ET with a smile.

Panthers take Stanley Cup Final lead over Oilers, but what’s next is ‘going to be a grind’

SUNRISE, Fla. — Ten hours after a Game 5 victory over the New York Rangers , the elevator door on the 25th floor of the Florida Panthers’ Manhattan hotel opened 30 minutes before the Panthers’ team bus was scheduled to leave for the airport.

Out came Sergei Bobrovsky wearing just a bathrobe.

Sweat dripping off his face, his hair and body soaking wet, he left a pool of water on the elevator’s marble floor.

“Excuse me,” the soft-spoken goalie said. “Don’t slip. Had to get in a sauna.”

Fast forward nine days, Bobrovsky was wearing a sweaty T-shirt inside the Panthers’ locker room and completely unfazed by the fact that he had just stolen Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final from the Edmonton Oilers by a 3-0 score.

Every Panthers player had seven days off between dispatching the Rangers and the seemingly endless buildup to Saturday night’s opener against the underdog Oilers. But if there was any concern Bobrovsky would lack sharpness against Connor McDavid , Leon Draisaitl & Co. on this big stage, the 35-year-old quickly alleviated that with a 13-save first period, 26 saves through 40, and an eventual 32-save shutout in a game the Oilers certainly deserved better.

“Definitely, every win’s a big win,” Bobrovsky said. “It’s a long series, so we’re going to reset, refocus and get ready for the next fight.”

The Panthers spent the week telling everybody to stop worrying about “Bob.”

To a man, player after player said he’s the hardest-working goalie they’ve ever played with. His preparation is second to few, and he has routines that are must-see.

“I don’t even know what he’s doing half the time, but it works,” Carter Verhaeghe said.

“I don’t ask,” added Brandon Montour .

Whether it’s saunas or eye-stretching exercises or going on the ice early and doing a routine where he slowly glides around like a synchronized swimmer, Bobrovsky, the Panthers always know, will be prepared.

“His work ethic, his character, he’s everything you want in a teammate, especially a goalie,” Matthew Tkachuk said. “He is everything. Very impressed with the way he played tonight, especially early. But honestly, throughout the whole night, he was really good and he was there for us.”

The Panthers know they can play better, and Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch certainly expects that to happen. For anybody who has watched the Panthers this postseason, it was shocking how much Edmonton tilted the ice in the first two periods. It’s rare to see such a shot volume differential for the Panthers.

They’re usually the ones outshooting and out chancing their opponents, causing teams like the Bruins and Rangers this postseason to go 12, 13 and 14 minutes during several stretches without shots.

Yet it was the Oilers piling up the shots and possession time only to frustratingly find themselves in a 2-0 hole due to Verhaeghe’s first-period goal and Evan Rodrigues ’ second-period goal. Point-blank chances, breakaways, rush chances, three power plays. The Oilers couldn’t break the seal.

“Maybe it was the hockey gods getting us back for that Game 6 (versus Dallas ) where we probably didn’t deserve to win,” McDavid said, regarding Edmonton eliminating the Stars with only 10 shots on goal. “Tonight maybe we deserved at least one goal, maybe two, and we don’t find a way to get them.

“I know this group will stick with it — bounce back. That’s what we take a lot of pride in doing. We’ll gear up for a big one on Monday.”

What has to be concerning for the Oilers is they know the Panthers will only get better after Saturday’s thievery delivered the franchise its first-ever Stanley Cup Final lead.

This was not them, especially in the first period when the Panthers looked to be having trouble adjusting to Edmonton’s speed and skill, especially against the top two lines.

“After a week off, we’ll take a win any way we can get it,” Verhaeghe said. “But they outshot us, they had a lot more chances than us. We shut it down, played good defensively (in the third period). But there’s lots of things we can improve on. We’re getting to know our opponent after the first game, feeling them out.”

Verhaeghe, the Panthers’ all-time leading goal scorer with 25, scored on Florida’s first shot of the game when Aleksander Barkov served him up with a perfect pass as they drove the net. That goal would end up being his 18th career game-winning goal.

But after the Oilers couldn’t beat Bobrovsky on an early second-period power play, Sam Bennett chipped a puck in with the belief he would likely be able to chase the dump-in down first. He did and Rodrigues, lost by a fast-asleep Darnell Nurse and Evander Kane , buried it from the slot in his Stanley Cup Final debut.

This after Rodrigues said hours earlier that he was so excited, “You almost wish it was a 1 o’clock game so you can just wake up and start getting after it.”

Then, in the third period, the Panthers locked it down in vintage style.

“We’re going to find out how much better we can get,” coach Paul Maurice said. “They played a very strong game. I thought they moved well, I thought their transition game was really quick and we would’ve expected that, so there’s areas in that that I think we can improve. And then it’s going to be a grind.”

For the Oilers to turn this season around, they’re going to have to be a lot sharper at the net.

McDavid was stopped six times, Draisaitl four, and he could never get that one-timer off from the right circle on the power play. Adam Henrique and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins were robbed on breakaways.

Knoblauch said every goalie has deficiencies and it’ll be up to the Oilers to find Bobrovsky’s. But on this night, the hard-working, soft-spoken goalie was sharp as can be for his 11th start in his past 12 where has allowed two goals or fewer.

This may not have been his greatest performance in a Panthers’ sweater, but given the circumstance, the context, and who he was going up against, it was as big a win as Bobrovsky’s ever had, considering he didn’t even start last year’s playoffs as Florida’s No. 1.

Now he’s the oldest goalie in history to open a Stanley Cup Final with a shutout.

“He’s amazing down low, he’s also amazing up high,” said his Oilers counterpart Stuart Skinner . “It’s hard to beat him. He’s an incredible goalie. He does a great job sealing the ice. You’ve just got to somehow find a way to score a goal on him.”

The Oilers are a bit perturbed with how many inside and outside the game aren’t giving them a chance in this series. Knoblauch sarcastically pointed out after the loss that the Panthers were “probably caught off guard because you guys are talking about how good they were and we didn’t have a chance in this series.”

To outplay the Panthers in Game 1 and not get the victory had to be upsetting. But they believe if they keep finding ways to net and peppering Bobrovsky with rubber, the dam will eventually break.

“I know how many people gave us a chance in this series, and I think we showed tonight that we can play with them,” McDavid said. “That’s a confidence booster for this group — but we know that our best can play with anybody. Disappointing.”
